Chapter 8

Aladdin walked into the palace with the intention of telling Jasmine everything. Plus, she wanted him to meet Jordan as well. They'd add yet another animal to their growing family.

However, those plans were derailed when he saw what was happening before him.

The camels were stocked were supplies for a big travel it seemed like. Where were they heading too? By the looks of it, it seemed they were going somewhere very far. Why didn't anyone tell him.

"Hey Street Rat!" Rasoul yelled at Aladdin.

"Rasoul." Aladdin grunted out.

"I heard you've been actually doing some work and not just going around stealing and causing problems like you normally do." Rasoul replied actually regarding Aladdin with a modicum of respect unlike before.

"You heard right. Been trying to get stronger. And hey I don't cause trouble!" Aladdin corrected.

"Riiiiiight trouble just happens to find you." Rasoul said snickering.

Aladdin chuckled along with him. It was nice actually getting some respect. Rasoul had then asked about what Aladdin had been up too and Aladdin had told him about what training he had received from the old man. Unknowingly, Rasoul's respect of the street rat had grown. Knowing how hard he was working to keep the kingdom safe and raise his own strength is commendable. Perhaps he misjudged him after all.

Aladdin however left out the fights, he would tell Rasoul after he told Jasmine and The Sultan. Maybe he could be of some help if he didn't treat him like trash unlike before.

"Rasoul, what's with all the camels? Seems like you guys are going out someplace pretty far." Aladdin asked regarding the huge travel party in front of them.

"The Sultan and Princess are heading out to finalize some trade agreements with Upanistan. They were both looking all over the palace for you actually."

Aladdin nodded petting Jordan who jumped up asking for pets. Rasoul gave a mental roll of his eyes. Yet another crazy animal to deal with from the Royal Couple. It's nice this one is at least a normal pet.

"Alright I'll go talk to them. Have a safe trip." Aladdin said before he started to leave.

"Hey Street Rat!" Rasoul yelled before Aladdin went inside. Aladdin turned around and looked at him.

"I'll see you when you get back." Rasoul said with a sincere smile. Aladdin returned it and waved before looking for his future father in law and wife.

He heard them in the Throne room and made his way over there.

"You've done really well Jasmine! Because of your efforts, now we are going to secure a big trade agreement with Upanistan!" The Sultan said happily bounding in his throne.

"Thank you, father." Jasmine replied smiling. "But I can't seem to find Aladdin anywhere! It's like ever since we started to learn and commit to this more, he's been gone a lot."

"Well he's been busy Jasmine. He's gotten a lot stronger. Just like you've gotten a lot smarter. And it's just not him that was busy, we are too. He came to visit during our group trade agreement that you put together yesterday, but you were busy."

"Well I would still like to see more of him. I understand why we're doing this, but I would love to spend more time with him."

Aladdin listened in wishing he could spend more time with Jasmine as well. But like they both decided, this was for the best.

He decided to make his presence known.

"Hey." Aladdin said walking into the room.

"Aladdin!" Jasmine exclaimed running into his arms and giving him a peck on the cheek. She could feel his body through his hoodie. Her father was right, he was much stronger. She could feel his muscles slightly bigger than before.

Unfortunately, she didn't see the bruises underneath.

"Aladdin my boy!" The Sultan also exclaimed bounding over to Aladdin as well.

"I heard you guys are heading out somewhere for a while?" Aladdin asked holding Jasmine.

"Yeah we're heading to a nearby kingdom for a while to work out some more trade deals." Jasmine replied nuzzling into Aladdin.

"Seems like a good amount of ruling is doing trade deals." Aladdin said recalling the lessons The Sultan gave him from before. Most of them involved negotiating deals and dealing with the other nations. Jasmine probably understood the rates and needs better than him, but the basics he was sure he got down.

"Yes, it mostly is trade deals and maintaining relations with the partners. And then there's also working with the issues within the kingdom as well. We weren't the best at doing this when Jafar was here. Luckily, you came along." The Sultan replied.

"I see."

After talking a little while longer, about the trade agreements and what the plan was, The Sultan bounded his way over to his carriage and waited for Jasmine as well.

"I guess this is goodbye for a little while then." Aladdin said sadly.

Jasmine agreed sadly and held him tighter. She wouldn't have gone before and stayed with Aladdin. But now with the chance to learn even more and help Agrabah, she had to go with her father.

"I wish you would come with us." Jasmine replied sadly.

"Yeah, but I have my own goals here. Not to mention if I left then we have no one here in case something happens. I'll miss you." Aladdin said kissing Jasmine who returned it.

"We'll make more time for each other when I come back." Jasmine said.

"Yeah and I'll tell you what I've been up too as well. For now though, you should get going. Seems like you'll be back around the same time as Genie and the others." Aladdin said before hearing Jordan come up behind him barking happily.

"Who's this?" Jasmine asked bending down to Jordan who looked wearily at her.

"This is Jordan. I gave him some food a couple days ago after training. He followed me and now he'll be sticking with me." Aladdin replied watching Jordan slowly creep up to Jasmine and allowed himself to be pet.

Jordan started licking Jasmine and she happily nuzzled into him.

"Hopefully Raja likes him." Jasmine said happily before standing back up.

"Jasmine we have to go now!" The Sultan yelled from his carriage.

Jasmine, Aladdin and Jordan made their way to the carriage where everyone awaited for Jasmine to get on.

"Take care of yourself. I love you." Aladdin said looking at Jasmine lovingly. Jordan also barked happily. Anyone who his master cared for was important to him as well.

"I love you too. Don't get hurt too much please." Jasmine said kissing Aladdin before heading onto the carriage.

"No promises." Aladdin said almost jokingly watching the camels start to move.

"Take care!" Aladdin yelled waving at everyone.

To his surprise, all the guards also waved back at him while The Sultan and Jasmine both keep waving and seeing him until they were out of sight. Aladdin let out a few tears at the thought of being without his loved ones, but Jordan jumped up and started licking him happily. He wasn't alone. While they were all gone, he would do his best and become strong. He would surprise them all.

For now though, he would have to stay in the palace for the time being. They couldn't have anyone think the palace was empty with no one ruling. For now, that's where would be.

"Come on Jordan." Aladdin said as he and Jordan made their way up to the palace. It was almost time for bed anyway.

A/N: To everyone wondering why I sent everyone away, I needed Aladdin to be by himself to continue his journey. This is Aladdin's story and his own journey. Everyone else is supporting cast. And they will all find out about what he's been up too once they come back. For now though, it'll be hard for me to write about everyone else when Aladdin's journey is just beginning and I'm trying to establish what the story will be. I'm sorry everyone. Please bear with me.
