Hello again everyone. I hope you are all taking care of yourselves and thank you for reading!

"Uhhhhg," Remy groaned as they walked, pulling his bag over his shoulder.

"Did you hate classes today that much?" Virgil asked with a raised brow.

"It was so boring. Why can't we have interesting classes?" Remy complained.

"We're freshman, prerequisite classes aren't exactly supposed to be 'fun'," Virgil replied.

"I thought college was supposed to be fun and full of parties and drama and all that junk. Instead it's just busy work and shitty cafeteria food," Remy huffed.

Virgil laughed at the comment.

"Yeah, I have to agree with you with the food. I swear that they lie about half the ingredients because there is no way all of the food should be rubbery and taste like literal garbage. The only thing edible is the pizza."

"I never thought I'd end up wanting to throw up at the thought of eating pizza, but here we are. Only a week into actual classes and I already can't stand it," Remy laughed dryly.

Virgil shuttered. He really was starting to hate it as well, even though he formerly thought hating pizza was a sin. Still both of them had limited money and with Remy's coffee addiction, they had to use their food swipes if they actually wanted to eat. Still he wouldn't feed Ember most of the food they offered.

The two of them walked through the automatic doors into the cafeteria and swiped their cards to purchase their entrance into the buffet styled hall.

"Hell yes!" Remy cheered as they walked over. "They have ham and swiss sandwiches today."

"I hate swiss cheese but I'll eat anything different at this point," Virgil sighed.

"Let's claim some seats, then you and Ember can guard the table while I grab the food," Remy suggested.

"I can get my own food you know," Virgil pointed out.

"I know. But I'm being nice, so you sit, and I will get food," Remy instructed, pushing Virgil gently down in a chair.

Virgil could hear the sound of Remy's footsteps fading into the loud cacophony of all the other sounds fellow students and the staff were creating. He sighed and leaned back in his chair, tugging gently on Ember's leash so she'd lie down by his feet and out of the way of others so she wouldn't accidentally get hurt by someone in a rush. It didn't take long for his roommate to return with two plates of food. Virgil sniffed a bit, noticing a different scent preset.

"French Fries?" Virgil guessed.

"They had potato wedges today, figured you might want the only thing they know how to put salt on," Remy joked.

"Thanks, Rem," Virgil said before taking a bit out of his sandwich.

He was right, he hated swiss. He sighed a bit to himself as he pulled apart the slices of bread and ate the meat and the side without melted cheese. At least it was a meal other than pizza or minute meals back at the dorm. The potato wedges were good, not nutritious but good. Remy must have agreed because he could already hear that tell tail slide of his plate across the table noting that he'd finished.

"Mmm, they have cupcakes for once, I think I'm going to get one. Want one while I'm up there?" Remy asked.

"I'll pass," Virgil replied.

Remy let out an indifferent hum as he got up and walked away again. Virgil finished his last wedge and began scratched absently at his tingling on his arm. He hadn't really realized he was doing it at first but the familiar sensation struck him. He paused mid scratch and pulled up the arm of his hoodie, running his hand over the mostly smooth skin. The tingling continued along his arm, it was Lisa again. She didn't write or draw much anymore, probably because at this age soulmates rarely felt the need to write to each other and doing so was almost looked down upon by others. He felt no romantic love for Lisa, but after all the change with going to college, the familiarity of the unseen ink sprawling across his skin was a bit comforting.

"Hey Virge, whatcha doing?" Remy asked as he returned.

"I think Lisa is writing, or drawing, she does that a lot. I, uh, would you mind telling me what it is? I can't read it. The tingling is too spread out to ever make out anything and it's flat so I can't feel the lines. Normally my parents would read it for me but, well, here we are," Virgil requested, clearing his throat awkwardly.

"Sure thing. I feel badly that you had to constantly have your parents involved in your conversations though, since you can't read it and all," Remy replied, taking his hand so he could see the writing on the forearm.

"I can't write either. The skin moves too much, my parents insisted they always wrote because whenever I tried it was illegible from all the movement," Virgil sighed.

Remy hummed to acknowledge that he'd heard what Virgil said but was busy reading the writing. Three colors were showing up, blue, black, and red.

Logan, baby, can I ask a favor?

Patton, why are you writing and not just texting? I'm in class.

I forgot my phone

Can it not wait until you get back? Your class should have just let out.

It did but I might have sorta kinda maybe forgot my keys

Wait, doesn't Logan always make you pack your keys in your bag as soon as you get back in your room to avoid this problem?

I do.

He does

?

I forgot my whole bag.

You went to class without your bag?

Yeah. Luckily the teacher lent me a sheet of paper and a pencil so I could take notes. Anyways, can you please meet me back at the dorm instead of going to the library after class?

Alright. I'll see you in a little bit.

Love you!

I share the same sentiments towards you as well.

And I adore both of you!

Remy's brow twitched at the familiar names and penmanship, doing his best to stay silent so Virgil wouldn't catch on.

"She has very lovely art," Remy forced himself to say, as he released Virgil's arm.

He couldn't believe Virgil's parents would allow a lie of this magnitude to go on for so long. This was huge, but he wasn't sure if he had the right to break the news to him. Still, he was too curious to let it go just like that. If he knew Virgil's soulmates, he should at least try to figure it out and try to introduce them to each other at least, Virgil deserved to be happy just like the rest of him.

"Hey, weird request, but I actually really like her art? Could I take a picture of it?" Remy requested.

Virgil raised a brow but laid his arm back down on the table.

"Sure, I guess."

Remy grabbed his phone quickly and snapped a photo of the writing.

"Thanks, Babe, Imma go use the toilet," He said getting up from the table.

"What about your cupcake?"

"I'll eat it on the way," Remy replied, taking a bite out of it.

He scampered off to a little bench outside the bathrooms and pulled out his phone again, selecting Remus's contact.

Coffee_Addict: Remus, I need you to promise me this conversation does not reach your brother's ears.

OctoRat: Love keeping secrets from Ro, what's up.

-Coffee_Addict Sent A Photo-

Coffee_Addict: Discreetly compare this to his arm.

Remy bit his lip nervously as he waited for a response. He wasn't sure if Remus would handle the news well either, or if he'd be able to keep Roman from figuring it out. Still, this was his best bet for getting answers.

OctoRat: Who are you with right now?

Coffee_Addict: That doesn't matter, is it a match?

OctoRat: Yep.

Coffee_Addict: Looks like we aren't the only group of four soulmates in your family.

OctoRat: Why have they never written?

Coffee_Addict: He doesn't know about them.

OctoRat: Is it your roommate?

Coffee_Addict: Yes but don't tell Roman. I know him, he will literally pounce on the poor kid.

Coffee_Addict: He doesn't know anything yet. I don't know if I should be the one to tell him.

OctoRat: You think Ro will pounce him? Wait till Patty-Cake hears about this.

Coffee_Addict: Don't tell anyone yet. Maybe Jan and Em, but they don't count. We both know they can spot a lie from a mile away.

OctoRat: Finnnnnnne. But when we eventually tell them you better let me do it, it'd be hilarious to see their reactions.

Coffee_Addict: We'll see. I've gotta get back to Virge, ttyl.

Remy powered off his phone and placed it back in his pocket. He had some answers now. Now came the hard part of trying to slowly push him into his soulmates lives without scaring him and betraying his trust too much.
