Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it! I was trying to have an update for all of my stories today but I didn't finish one for Faded yet and even this one is late, but still happy holidays. This is a pure short little chapter for your enjoyment. A bit of anxiety and claustrophobia and lying but that is all. As always take care of yourselves, thank you for reading and happy holidays.

Virgil huffed frustratedly as he fiddled with his pen, twisting it around in his palm, clicking the button, and flicking the clip. He could feel his face burning as he could still feel the lingering pressure against his cheek. The pressure of where Patton had kissed him.

Virgil sighed out in exasperation as he clicked the pen a bit more violently.

Hands slammed down on his shoulder with enough force to make him squeal and jump with surprise.

"I will go insane if you click that thing one more time," Remy complained, letting himself fall further over Virgil's shoulders.

Virgil relaxed as he processed the one behind him was Remy and relaxed into the familiar scent of coffee and leather. He smirked as he held up his pen as he clicked the pen repetitively just to tease him.

"Virgie, you wound me," Remy whined, pawing meekly at Virgil's hands in an attempt to make him stop.

"Revenge for sneaking up on me," Virgil replied with a smirk.

"How dare? No, I did no such thing. I'm calling slander. I walked over here plenty loudly, you were the one not paying attention," Remy pouted.

Virgil's temporary excitement of having his playful roommate messing with him melted away as he slumped and leaned back against his friend's chest.

"Guess I wasn't," Virgil mumbled.

He sighed softly as he rolled the pen in the palm of his hand. Virgil yelped as suddenly his chair was shifted out further into the room, away from his desk and turned to face Remy.

"Alright, something's up. Why do you even have this thing out?" Remy called him out, snatching the pen from his hand.

"It's nothing Rem. I'm just stuck in my head," Virgil replied, trying to be nonchalant about it as his now empty hands pinched at his clothes as a desperate attempt to do something with them.

"Hun, you're playing with your soulmate pen. What is wrong? Does it have something to do with Lisa?" Remy guessed worriedly.

"Among other things," Virgil admitted, trying to sink deeper into his chair in an attempt to hide.

He could feel Remy's hands on either arm of the desk chair and feel the heat of radiating off of the body leaning over him. It was suffocating. He had nowhere to go. He already felt uncomfortable but now all of his escape routes were cut off.

"Virgie? Why are you shaking?" Remy asked, his concern audibly growing.

"Please back up, please," Virgil pleaded, pressing a light hand against Remy's chest.

"Sorry Babe, I didn't mean to crowd you. I was just worried," Remy apologized, instantly backing off. "Are you still feeling panicky? Do you need your fidget cube or to sit down with Ember? I'm sorry I didn't think about your claustrophobia."

Virgil slipped from his seat onto the floor, patting his lap so Ember would come over and lay down across his lap like a warm heavy blanket. He relaxed and let out a calmer breath as he ran his fingers through her smooth fur.

Silence grew as Remy also made his way to sit on the floor, keeping his distance so as to not accidentally crowd Virgil again.

"You don't have to talk about it if you really don't want to," Remy conceded guiltily.

"I've just been thinking about things. Specifically things that happened yesterday," Virgil mumbled embarrassedly.

"What happened?"

"I… He… Patton's not a bad person, right?"

"What?"

"He's not the type that'd cheat on his boyfriends, right?" Virgil pleaded with Remy for an answer as he hugged himself.

He loved Patton so much, but the other two were great people as well. He couldn't stand the idea of Patton hurting or betraying them. If Patton was, it had to be his fault. He must be doing something to confuse Patton and make him hurt the others. It was the only way Patton was too kind of a person to possibly hurt and betray anyone. There was no way.

"Virgil… No, no of course not. He loves them and he'd never betray them. What makes you think he would? Did he do something to you?" Remy asked worriedly.

"He kissed me," he could hear a light annoyed growl rising in Remy's throat and was quick to correct his phrasing. "Well not really kiss. It was more of a peck. On the cheek you know? It was probably completely platonic and I'm overthinking everything like alway, haha. You're right, Patton wouldn't cheat on them. No need to get worried."

"He kissed you on the cheek yesterday?" Remy clarified.

"Yeah, when he dropped me off he said he had a lot of fun and wanted to repeat it and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I started stressing over the implications, I shouldn't have. Silly me, huh," Virgil laughed, trying to make light of his accusations.

"Gurl, you've got all of the guys falling for you, don't ya?" Remy smirked.

"Wait so you do think Patton is cheating on them?" Virgil fretted.

"What? Nah, he's not cheating on them, I'm just fairly certain that there is a good amount of interest in you there and I already know the others are aware of it and likely agree with that interest," Remy replied.

"You're wrong, that's just wishful thinking. They aren't all interested. They are romantic soulmates, Lisa and my relationship is already screwed up, I don't need to meddle with theirs," Virgil reasoned.

"I didn't know we flew to Egypt during this conversation, stop drowning in denial," Remy said, jabbing Virgil's arm with his pointer finger.

Virgil couldn't help the smile and chuckle that arose from hearing the pun.

"Heh, I have to admit. My heart got a bit excited when he kissed me. If it's… If it was platonic, is that still okay?" Virgil asked worriedly.

"Course it is, don't over think emotions, anything and everything is allowed to be felt as long as you don't always act on some of those emotions. Take a page from the intrusive thoughts of our lovely intrusive thot. He often has vivid ideas of killing people including us, does he act on those? No. Doesn't mean that we fault him for thinking it, we just strongly advise him to get into therapy. Which he hasn't yet, but we are working on it," Remy said, a soft pout entering his voice. "You know, I deserve a kissy too."

"Pftt! What the hell kind of mood shift, cover type thing was that?" Virgil wheezed, choking on the air as he laughed.

"Aww, but Patton got to make your heart flutter. Why can't I? Come on just a peck," Remy teasingly pleaded as he leaned his head against Virgil with a whine.

"You're so ridiculous Remy," Virgil chuckled before leaning against Remy in return.

"That's why you love me," Remy replied.

"Yeah. You make me comfortable. I trust you," Virgil mumbled, twisting his fingers into Remy's.

Remy tensed and started to pull away ever so slightly.

"You shouldn't," he mumbled.

"Huh?"

"I know some secrets that you deserve to know but I can't tell you," Remy replied.

"What? Why can't you tell me? Is it important?" Virgil fretted, his fingers gripping tightly on Remy's fingers, trying to keep him from escaping.

"It's something I don't have the right to tell you. Sometime you learn secrets but it's not your place to say anything, you know?" Remy replied, leaning closer again to attempt to calm him.

"... Is it about Patton, Logan, and Roman?" Virgil asked hesitantly.

"You could say that," Remy replied.

Virgil pouted softly as he calmed down trying to think of what secret Remy could possibly know about them.

His phone went off from the bed behind them. The loud trumpets causing Virgil to jump, slightly jarring the dog in his lap.

"Holy Shit, why the hell is Roman calling? He never calls. God that scared me. Wait what if Patton told him about yesterday? What if he's pissed and is calling to tell me off?"

Remy chuckled and grabbed Virgil's phone putting it on speaker phone.

"What do you want Roman? You're giving Virgil a heart attack," Remy stated.

"Wha-! Remy what are you doing!" Virgil cried, covering his face in humiliation.

"Oh I had no intention of scaring our fair emo nobleman. I wished to speak to him and Patton wished for me to check in on him. Patton said he was worried he'd overstepped his bounds by giving Virgil a goodbye kiss and didn't want him to be uncomfortable," Roman explained.

"What no! I wasn't uncomfortable with it. You're not upset?" Virgil asked.

"Why would I be?" Roman replied clearly confused.

"Ah, um, no reason," Virgil chuckled, nuzzling closer to Remy.

"So what did you want to talk about with Virgil?" Remy asked in turn, puting a protective arm over Virgil's shoulder.

"Well, I'd like to get to know the person that Patton seems so fond of. I'm busy today and tomorrow but how about Wednesday? We could grab some dinner," Roman suggested.

"What?" Virgil replied without thinking.

Roman wanted to hang out with him. He didn't think Roman liked being around him that much. Remus did mention Roman spoke about him a lot. It was just to get to know him. He probably wanted to make sure he wasn't a threat. But there could be something there. He could end up liking Roman just as much as he was starting to like Logan. He'd be screwed.

"I know we aren't close. You can say no if it makes you uncomfortable. I do not with to impose myself," Roman said worriedly.

"Oh, no, no, no! I wanna go! I have time on Wednesday. I'd love to go with you," Virgil finally found his words.

"Then I'll see you then."
