Yeah...i got nothing

As all the students stood looking around at each other, they were waiting for someone to once again break the silence.

"We're not really going to listen to that thing...are we?" Lindsay said, finally breaking the silence

"Of course not." Courtney said with an eyeroll. "As if we're going to kill each other.

The group stopped due to a chuckle being heard, and turned to see Alejandro as the source of it. "How can you guys say that for certain?"

"The hell are you talking about man?" Duncan asked in an annoyed tone.

"Let's think about this logically. On the surface we're all saying that of course no one is going to murder, but how do you know one of us isn't planning one right now?"

"There's no way someone would do such a thing." Gwen snapped at him.

"Would you bet your life on it?" Alejandro said, with a smile on his face, causing Gwen to take a step back. "We're all strangers here, well for the most part." He said giving a glance over to Amy and Samey, "To say it's impossible for one of us to murder another is well...rather naïve no?"

As much as we hated to admit it, Alejandro was right. And Mike was more or less thinking the exact same thing.

"Oh, and one more thing!" Monokuma said over the intercom as it went off again, "Be sure to check your pockets for your student handbooks!"

"My pockets...?" Mike said to himself as he began to filter through his left and right. Eventually he pulled out some sort of small electronic card that opened up as he touched it. On it it had a few tabs, one labelled 'Students', one labelled 'Map' and one labelled 'Rules'. There was another one on it, but at this moment in time it just had a question mark and was blacked out.

Mike started filtering through it, on the students list it had all twenty-five students with some brief information about them, such as their talent, height, place of birth, weight, likes and dislikes. He clicked on his and it had about what he expected. Height, six foot two, born in Vancouver, and 130lbs. Still as underweight as always...

"Hey Mike, did you happen to find out your talent?" Dawn said, walking up to me.

Mike facepalmed at the fact he didn't even think to check, but then he saw where his ultimate was meant to be...it was blank. "It's not there." He sighed, showing Dawn exactly what he had to see.

"Hey Mike." Mike turned to see Scott looking over at him. "How come you don't have a special talent?" The farmer added, glancing his screen at him.

"Oh um, well I still don't know." He responded.

"Don't you guys think it's a bit suspicious that there's only one guy here with no talent and suddenly this isn't what we thought it would be?" Scott said looking around at everyone.

"It is a bit out of the ordinary..." Scarlett muttered, as a few others seemed to be agreeing.

"Listen man." Mike said gritting his teeth. "I don't know why we're here, but I was also invited here as a student, otherwise I wouldn't be here. I don't know what's going on either." Mike and Scott began to size each other up, as Trent stepped inbetween.

"Alright both of you calm down, fighting amongst ourselves is just going to give that...thing what he wants." Trent watched as both of them began to seem to calm down. "If we're going to get out of here, then we need to work together and trust each other." He added.

"Trust? Don't make me laugh." Scott snorted. "I don't even know you people, for all I know one of you is the one who trapped us here." He said pointing around, before storming off.

"As much of an ass as he is, he has a point." Duncan said, before leaving himself. A few people began to follow, and eventually alongisde Mike the only other people who stayed were Trent, Alejandro, DJ, Brick, Cameron, Lindsay, Courtney, Sky, Sammy, Ella, Bridgette and Cody.

"Well, I guess at least we know what the sides are." Cody sighed.

"Well if everyone here is on the side of working together, might I make a suggestion?" Alejandro said to the group.

"Why on earth would we let you, considering you're the one telling us someone could be plotting against us as we speak." Courtney replied, raising an eyebrow.

"True, whilst I believe that we can't ultimately trust each other, it would be easier to cover the whole island for any potential routes if we work together, wouldn't you agree?"

Courtney stuttered but didn't respond, causing Alejandro to smile slightly. "Well then, if we check the map there are eight areas, and thirteen of us here correct, so why not do a quick scope and then return to each other after?"

Everyone seemed to nod in agreement. "Great, It seems there's a chat function so I'll set a group chat with everyone here, sound good?"

As weird as Alejandro seemed, his take charge attitude was very useful, and managed to calm our nerves even slightly. Mike began to see why he was the Ultimate Politician, a true leader in the making one day.

Mike sighed as he realised who he was stuck in a group with, patrolling outer side of the camp, who was angry she wasn't made leader, Gwen, who tired of hearing Courtney complain, and Cameron who was too awkward to do anything about it

"Who does he think he is, making himself defacto leader?" The girl scoffed, as Mike unfortunately zoned back in to hear her bickering.

"It's not like he did anything bad." Gwen finally argued back, with an annoyed voice. "In a stressful situation, he managed to calm half of us down. Are you mad he became leader, or just mad that he grasped the situation better than you did?" As Gwen walked on and Courtney stopped in her tracks, unable to think of an answer.

"Jeez, kill me now." Mike sighed, as he muttered to himself.

"Is now really the time to say things like that?" Cameron whispered to him with a nervous expression.

"Sorry, sorry, just my way of dealing with a crappy situation." Mike chuckled, as Cameron slowly let out a smile.

"The one with these two, or the fact we're trapped on an island?" Cameron joked back.

"See, you did have it in you Cam." Mike said punching his arm, before stopping.

"Well I'm so glad you two are able to laugh under the current circumstances." Courtney said, glaring at Mike.

"Well it's not like there's anything interesting for us to be investigating here." Mike shrugged, "We've seen nothing in the cabins, or along the deck so far."

"So you think making jokes is a better use of time?"

"You have any ways to cope with our horrifying reality?"

Courtney did not respond to that, but instead just turned and kept walking ahead, past the giant cliffside.

"Jeez, you think it's as steep as it looks?" Mike said to his group.

"Who knows..." Cameron muttered.

xxx - DAY 3

"I see...so there's still nothing new to report?" Alejandro said with a sigh, as we rendezvoused in the mess hall, this time joined by everyone else. The mess hall was as you'd expect from a summer camp, but slightly nicer. The fridge and freezers were fully stocked with food, including some of Mike's favourite snacks which he was glad to see.

"Nothing to report from the cabins, no." Sky said, speaking for her DJ and Lindsay

"Well, what about those who checked outer regions of the camp?" He said, turning to Courtney, Sky and DJ.

"Well, we checked out the cliffside, it's very steep and I think we should make sure no one goes up there unless there's a specific reason." Gwen said, speaking up.

"There's also a boathouse by the cliff, a lot of sharp weapons in there..." Cameron added, the colour in his face metaphorically going.

"Jeez, sorry you guys had to see that." Trent said, sympathetically.

"Well, the internal part of the island?" Alejandro said again taking charge, turning to Brick, Sammy and Ella.

"Well, all we found was that there's paths in the forest, one leading to some small bathroom, a bigger set of public bathrooms, and some sort of games room." Brick affirmatively replied.

"A games room, our host has some interesting ironic forms of fun here." Alejandro said, chuckling. A few people went uneasy, Mike included as they seemingly forgot Alejandro's slightly weirder side.

"Well, as for my group." Alejandro said with a motion towards Cody and Bridgette, "We checked the water side and the dock didn't have anything special.

"Yeah, but there was something strange in the distance, it looked like another land." Cody added.

"But I thought Monokuma said we're far from any form of other people?" Gwen said, raising an eyebrow.

"And we're meant to believe everything a talking bear says to us?" Noah said with a deadpan.

"I don't know, to have something this elaborate planned out you'd have to know what your doing."

"Well duh of course I did!" Mike turned his head to the end of the table, and sighed upon seeing who it was. "Of Freaking course it's him..."

"You really thought I'd trap all of you on an island without properly thinking this through?" Monokuma said with a laugh. "Come on you bastards, give me some credit!"

"Well not that well through, three days later and all of us are still here." Gwen responded. "It's not like any of us have any real reason to listen to you now do we?"

Monokuma was going to reply, but paused. "Of course, how could I be so naive!?" The bear began to laugh, Mike getting slightly uncomfortable in his seat as the laugh slowly turned sinister.

"Um, I'm not the only one finding this creepy right?" Dave said as he shuffled in his seat.

"Oh don't worry, I'll give you guys exactly what you want." Monokuma responded, his eye flashing red before he disappeared.

"You really think we're all going to be okay?" Cameron said to Mike as they hung out by the dock during the afternoon. Mike sighed upon hearing this and seeing how nervous his friend was by the situation.

"It'll be okay man, it's been three days and if anything we're more united by the fact none of us are willing to kill." Mike replied, sporting a smile on his face.

"Yeah...I hope you're right..." Cameron said, trying to sport a smile.

Mike was going to say something off, but was stopped by the sudden screech of feedback. Mike groaned in annoyance realising who it could possibly be.

"Attention, attention all students! Please report to the messhall for a little surprise, attendance is mandatory!"

Mike turned to his buddy, who went back to his nervous expression. "Wanna go see what the stuffed furball wants?" Mike smiled, in an attempt to cheer him up. Cameron gave al ight chuckle, before nodding and following him.

As the two arrived, they saw their fellow classmates already sitting down as they took a seat. "Well, as a certain someone pointed out." Monokuma said turning towards Gwen who glared in response. "You guys have no reason to kill right? So I thought I'd give you one!" With that, Monokuma clapped his hands, and envelopes began to fall in front of us with our names on them.

"Welcome to your first motive." Monokuma said with a wink. Mike raised an eyebrow, before shrugging and opening his envelope. Immediately, he wished he didn't. What he saw was a picture of his mother, father and sister tied up with tape around their mouths. "Don't forget to look on the back as well!"

Mike gulped, before reluctantly flipping it over to see the painful words written on the back. 'Oh dear, I wonder what happened here!? Well...if you really want to know then you know exactly what you need to do.'

'He got us...he got us good...' Mike thought to himself. He turned to look around, and saw the same despairing look on just about everyone's faces. The worst of all being Cameron.

"Cam?" Mike said putting an arm on him, which Cameron quickly brushed off, before running outside.

"Oh, I wonder what got into him?" Monokuma said, giggling into his hands.

"You're a monster." Jo snarled at him.

"No, I'm just a predator." Monokuma replied with a frown.

Mike began to get up to follow him, but the person next to him, Trent grabbed his arm. "Mike...I think you should leave him alone for now."

"But-" Mike began to try to argue, but he saw the look in Trent's eyes, and knew he was right as he went to sit down. "I know..." He muttered.

Trent put a hand on his shoulder, as everyone just sat in silence. This was Monokuma's way of telling us, that no matter how much hope we have, or try to fight back, he'll bring us right back into this painful despair.

xxx

Mike sat on his bed, just staring up at the ceiling. As some others stayed at the messhall for dinner, he didn't really feel like sticking around. He looked to his nightstand, where he put the envelope before turning in his bed once more.

'What kind of cruel game is this?' He thought to himself. He suddenly shot up as he heard a knock at his door. He paused momentarily before going to it, as he noticed a note slipped under the crack in the door.

'Mike, meet me at the boathouse at 12:30AM, I need to talk to you immediately - Cameron'.

As Mike read the note, two thoughts went into his head. On one hand, this could be a trap written by someone else. But on the other...Cameron was hurting and he probably needed someone to talk to. And so...Mike greed to go. He checked the time in his room, it was currently 11:30PM, so He at least had another hour.

xxx

As it hit 12:20AM, Mike opened his door, taking a deep breath and making his way to the outer side of the island. He walked past the mess hall seeing the lights inside we're still on, guess some people decided to stay in. He noticed the same on the path as he went by the rec room, hearing laughter coming from it, as the path got darker and darker, he was finally by the cliffside, with the boathouse just next to it. He walked to it, and noticed it was quiet. eerily quiet. He paused as he reached for the doorknob, and opted to knock instead. "Cam?" He asked. No response.

The bad feeling in his chest wouldn't go away, but he felt compelled to open the door, not knowing what to expect on the other side. And what he saw would throw him into true despair for the first time in his life. The boathouse at first seemed pretty normal, the weapons in place, the fishing and equipment still where it was before, but in the back corner was the sight he dreaded most. There...was Cameron, lying down against the backwall, in a still position. Before Mike could say anything, or react, he suddenly felt a sharp pain on the back of his hand, and everything went darker.

"I'm sorry." The voice said, Mike tried to turn to see who it was, but his vision was fading, and soon there was nothing there.

Anddd thats chapter two done and dusted. Is Cameron alive!? Who was the one who knocked out Mike? Guess we're finding out on the next chapter!
