The start of this is based on a tiktock I saw, but I don't have the link, nor could I put it in here…so I just hope you know what meme I'm talking about XD

Also, again, a chapter ended up being too long, so it's been split into two parts for the sake of scrolling. XD sorry

Class had let out earlier; everybody had mostly scattered. Casper was by himself in the hallway of the first floor. Thatch had asked him to meet him there. The vampire rounded the corner and jogged up to the ghost.

"I had something I wanted to show you." He smiled.

Casper raised a brow and turned to face him.

"Oh?"

"Yeah, put your hands together. Like you had just high fived yourself."

The ghost leaned back and looked at the other suspiciously.

"Whhy?"

"Just do it."

Casper smiled with amusement and did as he was asked.

"Ok, now intertwine your fingers."

"I don't know if I trust you. You've got that mischievous glint in your eye." The ghost joked.

"Me? Mischievous? Never. Come on, do it." Thatch smirked, gesturing for the other to do as asked.

"Alright, now what?"

"While still intertwined, grab one of your hands. Like making a fist, but while holding someone's hand."

Casper tilted his head curiously, but did as requested.

"Oook then. Now?"

Thatch proceeded to grab Caspers hands in a way that kept the fisted one from moving, and interlocked fingers with the other one. He then slammed the ghost into the wall, pinning his hands above his head.

Casper squeaked in shock before looking back at the vampire, who was smirking quite evilly.

The ghost then laughed.

"So, you got me into the hallway just to flirt?" he raised a brow jokingly.

"Well, not just to flirt. There's this too." Thatch smirked and kissed the smaller one.

Casper smiled into the kiss and kissed back.

This went on for a good minuet, and likely would have gone on longer if not for the fact that Thatch was abruptly pushed away from him.

Thatch was suddenly on the floor, and Mantha straddling his stomach as she attempted to punch him, whilst he blocked his face with his arms and tried to get her off of him.

"SO SICK FREAK! I KNEW YOU WERE A JERK, BUT I NEVER THOUGHT YOU'D STOOP THIS LOW!"

"MATHA! GET OFF HIM!" Ra ran over and pulled her off the vampire.

Casper snapped out of his stupor and ran over to help pull her away.

"Mantha! Stop! What are you doing!" he exclaimed.

"What am I doing!? I'm stopping this pervert from molesting you!" She snapped.

"He's not molesting me! What are you-" Casper stopped for a moment and thought about it.

His eyes widened.

He forgot to tell his friends about him and Thatch.

Oh that's embarrassing.

"Mantha, I'm so sorry. I thought I had told you and Ra, but I guess it slipped my mind, and then I just assumed I had! I uh…" He looked over at Thatch, and then at back at Mantha a bit nervously.

"I'm…dating...him." he stated fearfully.

The zombie stared at him for a few seconds, though it felt like an hour to the poor ghost. She then shook her head, took off her ears, examined at them for a moment, then put them back on the sides of her head.

"I'm sorry, come again. I thought I heard you say that…you're dating that creep." She side eyed Thatch with concern.

"I did." The ghost stepped back, as if expecting an explosion.

"I didn't hear that. You've lost your mind!" she shook her head, blocking her ears with her hands.

Casper noticed the vampire attempting to get up, and walked over to help him.

"You can't possibly-what?! He's Thatch! The first time you met him, he tried to bite you!" She continued.

"That was 3 or 4 years ago, things change." Casper replied.

She turned her attention to the vampire.

"What have you done to him…" She growled at him.

"Nothing. Aside from being generally attractive and irresistible." Thatch scoffed with a smirk.

The ghost rolled his eyes with a scoff and playfully pushed the taller one.

Mantha watched on in confusion. She simply could not process this. A lightbulb then went on in her head and she snapped to look at Ra.

"Is this who he had a crush on?!" she raised a brow.

"Yeah." Ra nodded.

The vampire looked down at Casper with a smirk.

"You had a crush on me?"

"Not the time, Thatch." The ghost gave him a side glare.

The zombie's brain failed at that moment and she just stared blankly. Ra gently took her by the shoulders and steered her back towards the hall entrance.

"Ok I think, I'm gonna take her back to our dorm, and calm her down a bit. Meet us there, and you can tell us about your new boo." The mummy smiled.

"Oh, that pun…physically hurt." Casper cringed

The mummy just laughed and left, taking the zombie with him.

"Ok, now is the time." Thatch smirked "So, you had a crush on me?" he asked proudly.

"I'm dating you! And you're one to talk. You kissed me in a cave unprompted." The frost ghost huffed, smirking a bit.

"Touché."

Back at Casper and Ra's dorm, the ghost sat on his bed, facing Mantha and Ra, who were sitting on the sarcophagus parallel from him. The mummy looked excited, whilst the zombie honestly looked like she needed a calming tea or something. She looked uneasy to say the least.

"How long, have you been dating that-" Mantha stopped herself. "Thatch." She corrected, cringing at having to talk about the vampire in a polite manner.

"Well, uh…I got a crush on him last year." Casper chuckled nervously, playing with his hands. "I had a lot of little moments with him, and I got to see him a bit differently. He can be charming and quite funny at times! I saw he wasn't that bad... and he's gotten better as he's gotten older. I saw that he could, and does care. And I grew to like him…a lot." He looked off to the side, blushing with a sweet smile. He looked back up at his friends. "But don't ether of you ever tell him that or I'll never hear the end of it." He joked with an amused huff.

"Ok, that's when you started to like him. But when did you two start dating, and how?" Mantha raised a brow.

Casper looked like a deer in headlights.

"Well uh…" he muttered with a nervous smile.

"You've had a few dates with him at least, right? You were making out with him in the hallway." She narrowed her eyes at him suspiciously.

"I..uh, well, we…Our first official date is this evening. We're going to an ice rink." He chuckled nervously, playing with the ends of his sleeves.

She stared at him for a moment in disbelief before basically exploding. (Ra jumping back into the wall as she did so)

"YOU HAVENT EVEN BEEN ON ONE DATE YET?!" she exclaimed.

"Don't yell!" Casper asked with a worried look.

She took a deep breath before talking again.

"Sorry, but-! Who makes out before the first date!?" she snapped with concern.

"Well…I like…going a bit…fast…" He mumbled, a bit embarrassed. "There something wrong with that?" he asked, a more defensive tone.

"It's not the wisest or safest thing to do."

"He can't hurt me, at least not physically. And I'm not dumb ether. I've had enough experiences with him to know I can trust him."

She sighed in defeat.

"Just…don't go too fast. Ok?"

The ghost blushed at what she was trying to imply.

"Too late." Was his first thought, but he certainly couldn't say that. "Alright. I'll…pace myself." He muttered. It was a lie, but a necessary one.

"Ok, so how'd this start though? Did he ask you, out or what?" Ra spoke up

"Oh, uh. It's a bit complicated. Let me think about how to best explain…" The ghost stretched, thinking for a moment before answering.

"I guess, I'm not the subtlest about liking someone, so I think he knew how I felt, at least a little bit. And sometimes it seemed like he liked me back, but I never was really sure. But I was pretty sure that even if he liked me back, he'd eventually change his mind. But during the night of the dance, he came to my house and we talked about it. He liked me enough to fly to my house in the middle of a storm. How could I say no to that?" He smiled sweetly, a bit smittenly in fact.

"It's two letters, it's not hard." Mantha deadpanned.

"Mantha!" the mummy elbowed her.

"I'm sorry, I just…It's Thatch, he's not even a decent person, and you're too forgiving! It would be so easy for him to hurt you." She expressed her concern, her brow furrowing.

"I know, but it's a risk I've decided to take." He responded simply.

"Just please be careful, alright."

"Of course. Now, if you excuse me. I need to go to swing by my house and grab my ice skates. My date is only in a few hours." He smiled and got up, heading out the door.

Slither sat at his bed, coiled up, struggling to scroll through his phone. They really weren't designed for tentacles... His roommate had been walking back and forth in the room doing something, but the reptilian creature hadn't really been paying attention. But when Thatch walked by smelling like cologne, and mind you a more human cologne, Slither looked up curiously. The vampire had just put on a sleek, long sleeved black button up top over his tshirt. Which was a little odd, as it wasn't that cold out. At least not among vampire standards. The vampire was also wearing black jeans fit for winter. The vampire then opened his closet and pulled out his coat. He then grabbed his phone and sat on the lid of his coffin.

"Where are you going dressed up like that? You look like you're going to go shovel snow off a CEO's driveway." Slither asked, tilting his head.

"I got a date. Ice rink in Deedstown."

"Oh." The snake monster mumbled, returning to his phone.

After a moment, he looked back up, confused.

"Wait, I thought Sibella left town?" He raised a brow.

"I'm not going on a date with Sibella…" Thatch stated a bit quietly.

"Well who are you going out with?" Slither blinked.

Thatch almost seemed to hesitate. Almost.

"I'm going with Casper." He said it casually enough, never taking his eyes off the phone, though his tone got slightly quieter.

"Oh." The snake mumbled, once again turning back to his phone.

And like before, getting confused after a moment of processing. He looked back up again, raising a brow.

"Wait, tell me who you're going on a date with again? I think I misheard." he asked.

"Casper." The vampire replied, still examining something on his phone.

There was a pause, Slither just stared with confusion. Thatch looked up and noticed.

"I said, I'm going on a date with Casper." He corrected.

Slither stared for a moment before laughing.

"Man, your sense of humor is getting real weird! Your acting's getting better though."

"I wasn't joking, Slither." The vampire replied, looking back down at his phone.

"Ok…but why? I thought you hated him?"

The snake tilted his head and squinted at his fiend.

Thatch shrugged.

"I used to. Then he got cute. Now I don't." he got up from the lid of his coffin and headed towards the door. "Anyways, I gotta go. See ya." He gave a half wave over his shoulder as he closed the door behind him.

Slither was left alone. He looked around, as if trying to find some answers.

"I must be high." He concluded with a nod.

He didn't recall taking any weed recently, but it was the only reasonable answer to what just happened.

Thatch would never date Casper, and Casper would never say yes if Thatch asked.

Mantha watched on as the couple boarded the boat. She scowled and shook her head in confusion.

Casper dating Thatch... It didn't seem right. There was no way that jerk wasn't up to something, he hated Casper's non-corporeal guts. And her friend, well he was so easily tricked and swayed. It wouldn't take more than a few sweet words to get his attention, and he was far too forgiving for his own good. She was very worried he'd let himself be abused. But then again, he did fight Kibosh…But, he also didn't like Kibosh. He clearly did like Thatch (for some reason.). Wait, vampires could hypnotize! Maybe Thatch hypnotized Casper! Wait, weren't ghosts resistant to hypnosis? Even so, it didn't rule it out! She had to go tell Ra! They needed to save their friend.

Mantha knocked, but then burst into Ra and Caspers dorm anyways. The mummy was reading a stunt magazine and nearly tore it in half out of surprise.

"Ra!" she snapped, running over to him. "Thatch has hypnotized Casper!" She exclaimed.

"What?" he squinted in confusion.

"That's why Casper likes that jerk all the sudden!" she continued.

The mummy gripped the brim of his nose in annoyance.

"Oh for the love of-He's not hypnotized." He groaned

"How do you know for sure!?" she crossed her arms and frowned at him.

"Because Casper told me he had a crush on Thatch last week." Ra explained.

She was a little taken aback.

"…he told you?" Mantha raised a brow "Well, why didn't he tell me?"

"Because you hate Thatch like he's a plague."

"Well he is." She snorted.

"Haven't you ever heard the phrase "opposites attract"?" The mummy chuckled.

"Yes, and I'm sure it's lead to a lot of divorces." She stated firmly.

Ra sighed.

Just then, the door burst open, Fatso, Stinky, and Stretch flew into the room.

"Casper! We thought we'd-wait, where is the glow worm?" Stretch looked around in confusion.

"Why are you three here?" Ra raised a brow at the three ghosts.

"We decided to pay our nephew a surprise visit! Speaking of him, where is he?" Stinky answered.

The mummy chuckled, trying not to seem nervous. "Oh, uh, he's went into town. He had some erra-" he was interrupted by the zombie next to him.

"He's on a date." She smiled.

Ra snapped his attention to Mantha and looked at her like she had just pulled the fire alarm. Which, metaphorically, was basically what she had just did.

"He's at the Deedtown ice rink, on a date, with Thatch. You remember Thatch, right? Grey vampire, likes to cause trouble, tried to help Alder and Dash turn humans into stone." She explained, still grinning.

"…He's gone out with that miscreant?" Stretch snapped.

"Yup!"

"And they're at the ice rink, you say." He raised a brow.

"Yes." She nodded.

"Stinky, Fatso! It looks like we've got a date to chaperone!" the eldest brother instructed.

And the three phantoms turned tail and flew off.

"Mantha! Why the hell would you tell them that?!" Ra snapped at her as soon as the ghosts were out of earshot.

"What, they're date isn't a secret." She chuckled nervously.

"You know exactly what you just did! They're gonna go ruin Caspers date!" the mummy put his hands on his hips and glared at her judgingly.

"Look, if Thatch can't stand Casper's three uncles, then he doesn't deserve Casper. Either Thatch will prove to be better a person than I think he is, which I highly doubt, and stay with Casper despite the trio's efforts to get rid of him. Or, he'll do exactly what I expect him to. He'll get annoyed with the ghostly trio, ditch Casper, and our friend will realize his crush is a jerk." She nodded solemnly.

"And then he'll be heartbroken." He crossed his arms.

"Well it's better now than later! And like I said, this is a test for Thatch to prove himself. I don't want Casper heartbroken, but I don't want him played for a fool ether." She concluded.

He pinched the brim of his nose again.

"You're so stubborn sometimes." He sighed.

"I'm not stubborn, I'm cautious." She crossed her arms with a humpf
