Chapter 6: Fireflies Dreams
Kevin made it quickly to Dee's porch, and began to knock on the door. He waited for footsteps but none were heard, causing him to worry.
"Come on Dee please answer," Kevin said feeling his heart sinking cause of his thoughts. "What if she fell, or worse what if the slap made her have a small concussion." Kevin began to look around the house trying to call Dee through the windows but nothing. Finally he was in the front again and this time he know what he had to do. He slowly put both hands and feet on the garden ladder. The ladder stopped on the second floor where Dee's room was.
"She is going to think I'm nuts," Kevin said swallowing a lump in his throat. "It's just to make sure she is okay," Kevin said slowly going up the ladder.
Kevin kept thinking about all the mean things he had did to Dee when they were younger. Not giving Eds jawbreakers, calling them names, and pounding them. Only this, this was worse he thought to himself. He could feel himself getting upset by the way he acted back then. As he kept climbing his kept thinking of everything.
Once Kevin reached the second floor he could see a delicate figure in Dee's room. He finally made it to the second floor and right in front of Dee's room. He quietly walked on the roof time and could see the figure better. It was Dee taking off her shower cap and placing it on her vanity while she sat. Kevin could see her slowly putting on her skincare. He saw how she touched her slapped side and could see the tears in her eyes.
"I'm so sorry Dee for dragging you into this," Kevin said to himself as he reached his fist to knock on the window. He looked again to see Dee slowly lotioning her arms and neck.
Kevin could feel his heart racing as she slowly rubbed it into her skin. How her delicate hands melted the lotion into her making her have a pleasured demeanor. Kevin was getting hot and knew he had to get her attention already. He quickly knocked on the window, causing a relaxed Dee to yelp.
Dee quietly got her small bat from her bedside and step by step she walked to the window.
"who is there?" She said strongly as she could.
Her thoughts began to race. "What if it's Nazz or worse Tom," Dee said gulping hard. Slowly getting to the window she saw a figure. Her heart was pounding she had never been so scared.
"Your trespassing on private property mister," Dee said quickly opening the curtains. She found a wet Kevin on her roof slowly waving to her. She was startstruck by seeing him there. The moonlight on his skin, the way his hair was hidden by the cap, and the fireflies looking for a place to stay dry. There were lights all around him. For Kevin all he saw was lights around her as well. She quickly put the bat down and opened the window. She looked at him their eyes never unlocking. Her sapphire eyes and his emerald eyes slowly dancing with each other as they both stayed there in silence.
"Is there something I can assist you with Kevin," Dee said breaking eye contact with him as she looked at the baby pink curtains. Kevin quietly grabbed Dee by the chin and kissed her softly. The smell of her perfume and fresh minty breath made him hungry for me. Dee was in shock feeling Kevin's lips kiss her lips strongly and wildly. She was getting dizzy with nervousness. She could feel his stubbing all over her lips and the smell of his cologne filled her nose. She let out a small moan before finally coming to her senses. She pulled herself from Kevin's hold and turned around.
"Kevin please go," Dee said trying not to look at him. Kevin slowly walked behind Dee and wrapped his arms around her, slowly kissing her neck. "Dee I came back cause I had to see you," he said kissing up and down her neck slowly going to the spot Nazz slapped. He kissed her face as much as she could before Dee let out a whimper. "Kevin that hurts," she said shaking. "Then let me make it feel better, let me make you feel better," Kevin said kissing Dee deeper. He liked how Dee's small frame felt against his muscle body. "Dee forgive me please," Kevin said in between kisses. "Please give me a second chance," he said kissing her chin waiting on her answer. "I'm still very mad at you Kevin," Dee said breathing heavy from the pleasure she was feeling.
"Then let me make you happy again," Kevin said kissing her lips more as he picked Dee up. Dee gasped but couldn't say anything from having Kevin's lips on hers. She felt him lay her on the bed as he melted their lips together. "Forgive me Dee,",Kevin said unlocking their lips for just that moment. Dee could hear her heart beating. "Kevin..please...please don't...be..lying," Dee said trying to say the words as kissed her neck.
"I promise beautiful, I'll only give you my attention," Kevin said kissing down her neck. He could smell her perfume as he kiss down her collar bone. "Kevin," Dee said in a moan causing Kevin to get hotter then he already was. His kiss felt like hot lava and Dee couldn't stop it. She had always wanted to have this moment with Kevin. She felt erotic, but she knew she had to slow it down. Before Kevin could untie her rob she grabbed his hands. They both looked at one another.
"Kevin my apologies but we must slow down," Dee said blushing as she looked into his eyes. "Shit Dee I'm sorry, I didn't mean to..," before he was about to finish he felt Dee's lips on his. "Shh...we just needed to slow down because you still need to take me out sir," Dee said kissing the shocked ginger passionately. "Does that mean you forgive me Dee," Kevin said touching Dee's bruise from the slap. " I do, but please Kevin try to better mange your time, and don't stand me up again," Dee said looking into his eyes. "I promise Dee," Kevin said kissing her lip one more time.
Dee looked at the time. "It past my bedtime Kevin," Dee said quickly running into the bathroom and changed into her sleeping attire. Kevin looked around her room seeing a Cactus named Jim, an ant farm, and science magazines. As he picked one up to read he heard the door open and close again. "You sure are the biggest nerd still," Kevin said teasing as he slowly put the magazine down. He was met with Dee in an oversized t shirt and her hair down. Kevin never thought he would see an even more beautiful Dee, then how he did right now. She looked comfy, her face clear as glass, and her sweet smell. Dee could tell Kevin was getting nervous. "Do you want me to cover up more," Dee said blushing.
"No," Kevin said quickly. "Your perfect," Kevin said as he got to the window. "I guess I better go huh," Kevin said giving Dee a sheepish smile. Right before Kevin took a step out, he felt Dee grab his arm. "Can you stay here with me tonight Kevin," Dee said looking down at the floor. "The weather scares me," she said holding onto him tightly. "I don't want to be alone right now," she said looking into his eyes. Kevin could feel his heart beat, he had never been needed in that way. "That's the cutest fucking thing ever," Kevin said kissing Dee's forehead. "Kevin language," Dee said smiling with a blush.
"Dee are you sure you want me to stay with you tonight," Kevin said closing the window slowly. "Please, Kevin can you," Dee said as she laid her chin on his chest. "Do you mind if I get comfy?" Kevin asked shyly. "I think father might have some sleep attire you can borrow." Dee said turning from Kevin to go get the attire. "No Dee it's okay, I just sleep in my muscle shirt and boxers," Kevin said laughing. Dee's heart was racing. "That's perfectly fine," Dee said as she went under the covers on her bed. She looked alway as Kevin was getting dressed for bed. From the corner of her eye she could see how his muscles flexed from taking off his shirt. His strong arms revealing biceps, his stomach revealing the v line and a reddish happy trail.
"Calm yourself Dee, it's just like when Eddy and Ed stay over," Dee said to herself as she felt Kevin go under the covers with her. She turned and was met with his eyes. "Hey beautiful," Kevin said pulling Dee into a cuddle. Dee could feel ever muscle and every vein on Kevin's arms. She was so nervous she was shaking. "Dee just relax, we don't have to do anything until your ready," Kevin said kissing her lips. "I'll waiting always till your ready," Kevin said laying his chin on her head.
"Goodnight Beautiful," Kevin said kissing her forehead. "Goodnight Kevin," Dee said slowly closing her eyes. For the first time in a long time they both slept. No nightmares, or middle of the night wake ups. It was just those two holding onto each other for comfort and sweet dreams.
