Lets say in this Casper is 16/17 and Thatch is 17/18

His friends often teased him about it.

"You asked her if you could keep her? That's kind of creepy dude." Ra chuckled, and Casper would just blush and nervously laugh back.

They were right, it was weird. He had been 9 at the time though, so It was understandable. And Kat was 13, so she didn't even really consider him having a crush on her. Even now he cringed at it sometimes, and worse than that, it hurt him a bit. Sometimes he considered telling them why he had asked that, why that question was important to him, but then he never did. It was a silly reason anyways, and it didn't make the situation any less embarrassing. It should have been obvious that Kat wouldn't had known the context, also she was 13. She never would have liked him like that anyways.

His friends loved him, he knew that. Yet, their teasing still sort of hurt. But, he ignored it none the less.

There had been a school dance going on, but Casper quickly left. He just didn't feel in the mood for that kind of thing tonight. So there he lay, on the roof, looking up at the night sky. He had hoped it would make him feel a little better, but it didn't, it just added to his sadness. The sky was full of grey ugly clouds, and the sky had a green haze to it that looked sickly. He stayed at this school for his friends, and because Kibosh made him, not because he liked the place. The ill looking, starless sky reminded him of how much he hated the place.

"Yo, Mr snow miser, what are you doing up here?" a familiar voice asked.

Casper looked to his right to see Thatch.

"What are you doing up here all by yourself?" The vampire asked casually.

"Star gazing." The young ghost answered simply

The vampire looked up at the sky and frowned;

"I don't think Underworld has any…"

"Yeah, I'm starting to realize that…" Casper mumbled sadly.

There was a moment of soft silence.

"Did you want to be alone?" Thatch frowned slightly.

When Casper didn't answer, Thatch wordlessly walked over and laid down next to him.

Casper and Thatch had a rather perculer relationship. Back when Casper first came to the school Thatch hated him, during middle school they greatly disliked each other, now they liked each other. They liked each other so much in fact, that they had been on a few dates, and had kissed quite a few times. It actually started with a kiss, but that's a story for another time.

"…So, you really asked a girl if you could keep her?"

Casper had told Thatch the story earlier today, the vampire laughing about afterwards. Not a hateful laugh mind you, but laughter none the less.

"Yeah…"

"Yeesh, I can't blame the girl for not falling for ya." Thatch joked, but frowned sadly when the ghost didn't laugh back.

"…So why did you ask her that?"

"Huh?" The ghost tuned to look at him, a little surprised at the question.

"Why'd you ask her that? Like is there a specific reason, or did you make up that line on the spot?" Thatch raised a brow curiously.

Casper blinked.

"…It's dumb." The ghost mumbled as he looked away with frown and a slight blush

"Probably, but I still wanna know." Thatch insisted quietly.

Casper sighed sadly, and thought a moment before smiling slightly;

"When I was little-"

"Littler." The vampire interrupted him with a smirk.

"Shush." Casper gave him a bemused smile before continuing;

"There was this book I used to read all the time, it was my favorite. It was a fairytale about a prince who fell in love with an angel. It was a simple children's book, but I loved it so much." The ghost smiled at the memory.

Thatch had turned on his side to face Casper, he nodded.

"It sort of fueled my childhood dream of a fairytale romance." Casper chuckled.

"That explains a lot…" the other chuckled.

"Yeah…" The ghost blushed a bit. He fell for people pretty easily, except for Thatch, that one took a while.

"Anyways, there was a poem in the story, and I thought it was the most romantic, sweet thing I'd ever heard. Though thinking about it now, maybe It was just kind of dumb. It didn't even rhyme." Casper smiled with slight embarrassment.

"Do you remember what the poem was?" Thatch asked simply.

"Yeah, wait…do you actually want to hear it?" Casper turned to look at the other with disbelief.

"It's not like I got anything else to do." The grey one shrugged.

Casper; "Ok, but please don't laugh."

Thatch; "I make no promises."

Casper; "I appreciate the honesty."

Casper took a deep breath and started;

"Can I keep you, for sunlit days and strawberry fields?
Can I keep you, for dark blue nights and star dust dances?
Can I keep you, for cherry petals and ocean breezes?
Can I keep you, for shortcake and wine?
Can I keep you, for moon dust and comets?
Can I keep you, for rain and thunder?
Can I keep you, for dawns and dusks?
Can I keep you, for butterflies and kittens?
Can I keep you, for flowers and rocks?
Can I keep you, for feathers and gems?
Can I keep you, for sweet autumn walks and cold winter days?
Can I keep you, for hot cholate and Marshmallows?
Can I keep you, for sadness and joy?
Dear Angel, can I keep you for all the love in my heart?"

Casper then smiled genuinely and turned to look at the vampire next to him.

"And then the Angel says; "Only if I can keep you too."

The vampire stared at him, blushing.

"Dang, I'm surprised you can remember all of that." He chuckled.

"Thank you." Casper smiled with a nervous blush.

"I don't know why you thought I would laugh, that was very sweet." Thatch smiled.

"Since when do you like sweet things?" the ghost smirked at the other.

"Don't go spreading it around." The vampire chuckled.

They laid there a moment before leaning towards each other for a kiss. Casper wrapped his arms around the other and pulled him closer.

"Your right, that was a lot more romantic with context." Thatch muttered between sweet kisses.

Casper smiled sweetly into the other.

"So can I?" the vampire asked.

"Hum?"

Thatch backed away slightly, to look more directly at the other;

"Can I keep you?"

Casper took a second for his brain to reboot, but once it did, his eyes sparkled and he smiled excitedly. He had to take a second to calm himself down.

"Only If I can keep you too." Smiled with contained excitement.

"Alright, deal." Thatch smirked warmly.

And Casper proceeded to tackle him into another kiss.

"You know, there might not be any stars in the Underworld, but maybe I can still help you see them…" Thatch smirked devilishly into the others neck.

Casper looked confused for a moment before blushing wildly and laughing loudly.

"Y-your awful!"

"You know it!"

And Casper pulled him into another kiss.
