In this chapter, we see how Jeremy's first night goes along with a little surprise at the end.

Chapter 5

SECURITY ROOM

12:00 AM

Jeremy jumps a bit as the phone beeps twice with a bit of static before a voice came through, Fredbear sighs and mentally prepares himself to listen to the phone guy again. Spring Bonnie rolled his neck as he flexed his hands, he had a feeling things were gonna be lively tonight.

"Uh, hello? Hello, hello? Uh, hello and welcome to your new summer job at the new and improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, uh, I'm here to talk you through some of the things you can expect to see during your first week here and to help you get started down this new and exciting career path," Phone guy said making Jeremy nod as he picks up the camera panel to check the cameras.

"Uh, now, I want you to forget anything you may have heard about the old location, you know, uh, some people still have a somewhat negative impression of the company," The Phone guy said making Jeremy gulp.

"I did hear a few things," Jeremy mutters.

"Uh...that old restaurant was kind of left to rot for quite a while, but I want to reassure you, Fazbear Entertainment is committed to family fun and above all, safety, they've spent a small fortune on these new animatronics, uh, facial recognition, advanced mobility, they even let them walk around during the day, isn't that neat?" The phone guy said as Spring Bonnie grunts.

"*Clears throat* But most importantly they're all tied into some kind of criminal database so they can detect a predator a mile away, hey, we should be paying them to guard you," The phone guy said trying to make a joke.

"We don't get paid, though, do playing arcade games whenever we want to count as pay?" Fredbear asked looking at his brother who shrugs as Jeremy hid a small chuckle.

"Uh...now with that being said, no new system is without its...kinks, uh, your only the second guard to work at that location," The phone guy said making Jeremy very confused which Spring Bonnie noticed.

"These recordings were made last summer," Spring Bonnie said making Jeremy nod.

"Uh, the first guy finished his week, but complained about...conditions, we switched him over to the day shift, so hey, lucky you, right?" The phone guy said as Fredbear huffs remembering that guy, man he had been annoying.

"Uh, mainly he expressed concern that certain characters seemed to move around at night, and even attempted to get into his office, he said he was glad Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were with him for his shift, kept the bots back, or something like that," The phone guy said.

"Oh, Jeremy, don't forget to check the vents every now and then," Spring Bonnie said pointing at the two open vents in the room.

The young man nods and hits the buttons on the desk making the vents light up one at a time.

"Now, from what we know, that should be impossible, that restaurant should be the safest place on Earth, so while our engineers don't really have an explanation for this, the working theory is that the robots were never given a proper 'night mode' unlike Fredbear and Spring Bonnie, they patrol the building at night sometimes," The phone guy said as Jeremy glanced up at the golden animatronics, that explains them being up and about.

"So when it gets quiet they think they're in the wrong room, so then they go to try and find where the people area, and in this case, that's your office, so our temporary solution is this, there's a music box over by the prize counter that's rigged to be wound up remotely, so just every once and while go over to the prize counter and wind it up for a few seconds, it doesn't seem to affect all of the animatronics but it does affect...one of them," The phone guy said.

Jeremy blinks going to the prize counter and did indeed see a music box, he taps it making the box wind back up to full.

"*Clears throat* Uh, and as for the rest of them we have an even easier solution!" The phone guy said as Spring Bonnie glanced back.

"You see, there may be a minor glitch in the system, something about robots seeing you as an endoskeleton without his costume on, and wanting to stuff you in a suit, so hey, we've given you an empty Freddy Fazbear head, problem solved! You can put it on anytime and leave it on for as long as you want, eventually, anything that wandered in will wander back out," The phone guy said as Spring Bonnie spoke up.

"It's that there," Spring Bonnie said pointing at the mask, Jeremy nods as he pulls the mask closer.

"Oh, right, Spring Bonnie and Fredbear will help herd the bots back to the stage if they do wander off but only one at a time, they're very advanced so try not to damaged them, uh, something else worth mentioning is kind of the modern design of the building, you may have noticed there are no doors for you to close, heh, but hey, you have a light!" The phone guy said as Jeremy checks the cameras again only to jump as he noticed Toy Bonnie gone.

"Toy Bonnie is gone," Jeremy said looking around until he saw the blue bunny in one of the party rooms.

"And even though your flashlight can run out of power, the building cannot so don't worry about the place going dark, well, I think that's it, uh, check the lights, put on the Freddy head if you need to, uh, keep the music box wound up, piece of cake, have a good night and I'll talk to you tomorrow," The phone guy said before the phone stops and goes silent.

"Which room is he in?" Spring Bonnie asked looking back.

"Um, party room 3," Jeremy said making Spring Bonnie nod and head over there.

Jeremy watched on the camera as Toy Bonnie messed around on his guitar before stopping as Spring Bonnie walked in, the golden rabbit said something before grabbing the blue rabbit's hand and leading him out and back to the stage area.

As he did this Jeremy switched to the stage camera to see Chica moving from the stage, Spring Bonnie had his focus on Toy Bonnie so he couldn't stop Toy Chica from going past him, she moved to the hallway now missing her beak and had white dots in her now black eyes.

She wasn't close enough to cause alarm so Jeremy let her stay in the hallway, he switched to the prize corner and winds up the music box to full before checking the show stage to see Toy Bonnie on stage with Toy Freddy, he looks back to the hallway to see Spring Bonnie dealing with Toy Chica.

Relaxing slightly Jeremy looks to the kids' cove and saw Mangle on the floor not moving, he heard footsteps making him look up to see Spring Bonnie enter the office.

"They're active tonight," Spring Bonnie said as he moves to his spot.

"They will be," Fredbear said as Jeremy gulps.

He checks the cameras and saw no movement yet, he looks at the time and saw that it was now coming up to 3:00 AM. He could do this, he just needed to stay calm.

Another hour goes by and he had Fredbear take Toy Chica back after she tried to climb into a vent and Spring Bonnie nearly climbed into the vent after Toy Bonnie, Jeremy wasn't sure if he should report to the manager about the golden bunny's impressive swearing or were they allowed to swear at night? No kids were around, after all, Jeremy was snapped from his internal thoughts by Fredbear scaring BB away with a loud growl.

"Damn BB, gives me the creeps," Fredbear said as the clock hits 5:00 AM.

"Just one more hour," Jeremy said making Fredbear nod.

"Your doing good, just keep the music box wound up," Fredbear said as Jeremy nods before looking up at the hallway.

"Incoming Toy Freddy!" Jeremy said grabbing the mask and putting it on his lap, Fredbear nods and moves to intercept Toy Freddy and lead him away as Spring Bonnie returns.

"Why does he have to vent? I need a good clean later," Spring Bonnie said patting his arms trying to get some muck and dust off of them.

"The vents are pretty dirty," Jeremy said making Spring Bonnie grumble as he shakes some dust off his head.

"I'll make a note to the boss about getting them cleaned," Spring Bonnie said as he moves to lean on the desk.

"So, you doing anything after work?" Spring Bonnie asked making Jeremy shrug.

"Go home and sleep, then maybe go shopping for food," Jeremy said remembering he was getting low on some items.

"No partner yet?" Spring Bonnie asked looking over.

"No...not really interested right now," Jeremy said with a small blush on his cheeks as he winds up the music box before checking the other cameras.

"Hm, to each their own," Spring Bonnie said as Fredbear came back.

"20 minutes left Jeremy," Fredbear said as he did a time check.

"Okay," Jeremy said.

After a close call with Toy Bonnie the chime went off for the end of Jeremy's shift, the young man relaxed as the toy animatronics returned to their place on stage. He thanked Fredbear and Spring Bonnie before leaving and clocking out for the day, Spring Bonnie rolled his head as he looks around the party area.

"Let's get this place set up, we got three parties today," Spring Bonnie said as his brother nodded.

With that the two went about cleaning the main area and party rooms, a habit they developed to beat the boredom, halfway through the Puppet came out to clear her prize corner. After 6 AM the music box turned off so she could prepare for the day, she looks over with a wave making them wave back before sorting some toys out.

Soon employees entered the building as the toys did their routines, Fredbear and Spring Bonnie got cleaned up before going to prepare for today's events.

NIGHT 2

11:55 PM

Jeremy hums as he took his seat, he put his coffee cup down and placed the Freddy mask on the desk. He looks up as Spring Bonnie enters the office chuckling at Fredbear who was picking party confetti off of his arms.

"Busy day?" Jeremy asked making Fredbear huff.

"Yes, so much food went flying," Fredbear said as he remembers the cake that had to be cleaned off of him earlier today.

"You were covered in cake," Spring Bonnie said as he took his spot by the desk.

"At least it came off without any stains," Fredbear said getting the last of the confetti off.

"Ready to start?" Jeremy asked as he began checking cameras.

"Should be busy tonight, well, start that phone!" Spring Bonnie said as he looks forward while Jeremy hit play on the phone making it ring.

"Uh... hello, hello! Uh, see, I told you your first night wouldn't be a problem. You're a natural! Uh, by now I'm sure you've noticed the older models sitting in the backroom, uh, those are from the previous location, and we just use them for parts now. The idea at first was to repair them like with Spring Bonnie and Fredbear... uh, they even started retrofitting them with some of the newer technology, but they were just so ugly, you know? And the smell... Uh," The phone guy said as Jeremy switched to the parts and service room to see the old models.

Fredbear held back a growl, he didn't like to be reminded of their friends being used for spare parts, Spring Bonnie grunts making Fredbear huff and reach up to adjust his top hat, maybe he should ask for a new hat? Or maybe a waistcoat, those always looked good.

"So the company decided to go in a whole new direction and make them super kid-friendly! Uh, those older ones shouldn't be able to walk around, but if they do, the whole Freddy head trick should work on them, too, so... whatever," The phone guy said.

"I've noticed," Jeremy mutters as he saw Toy Bonnie move.

"Uh... heh... I loved those old characters, uh, did you ever see Foxy the pirate? Oh, wait, Foxy... Oh yeah, Foxy! Uh, hey listen! Uhh, that one was always a bit twitchy, uh... I'm not sure if the Freddy head trick will work on Foxy. Uh, If for some reason he activates during the night, and you see him standing at the far end of the hall, uh, just flash your light at him from time to time, those older models would always get disoriented with bright lights. It would cause a system restart or something," The phone guy said as Jeremy looks up.

"Toy Bonnie in party room 4, again, the light doesn't affect you guys as well, does it?" Jeremy asked worried, he didn't want to shine the light on these two by accident.

"Nah, they got rid of that bug with us," Fredbear said as Spring Bonnie went to deal with Toy Bonnie.

"Uh, come to think of it, you might want to try that on any room where something undesirable might be, it might hold them in place for a few seconds, that glitch might have carried over to the newer models too, well, minus Spring Bonnie and Fredbear they managed to get rid of their bugs and update their eyes," The phone guy said.

"New eyes?" Jeremy asked looking at Fredbear as Toy Chica moved off stage but thanks to Spring Bonnie putting Toy Bonnie on stage he managed to turn and grab her in time.

"Yeah, helps us see better in the dark," Fredbear said as he reached up and tapped the side of his head near his eye.

Jeremy nods as he looks down to do the music box, things were calm for the moment but he knew it wouldn't last long.

"One more thing: don't forget the music box, I'll be honest, I never liked that puppet thing, It's always... thinking, and it can go anywhere... Uh, I don't think a Freddy mask will fool it, so just don't forget the music box. Uh, anyway... I'm sure it won't be a problem. Uh, have a good night, and I'll talk to you tomorrow," The phone guy said before the phone clicks off and goes silent.

"Keep an eye on Mangle, they get active tonight," Fredbear said as a small laugh rang out signaling BB was on the move.

Spring Bonnie arrived back rubbing his head, he looked a bit annoyed.

"What happened?" Fredbear asked raising one eyebrow at his brother.

"Toy Chica bonked me on the head and that upset Toy Bonnie, I just had to break the two of them up," Spring Bonnie said taking his spot as his hand moved to show a small dent on the right side of his head.

"Sometimes I think Chica needs a female friend to work with," Fredbear said crossing his arms.

"She is the only female animatronic, well, beside Marion, but they don't perform," Spring Bonnie said as Jeremy switched cameras around.

"We can ask management, can't hurt to try," Fredbear said before looking over as Jeremy spoke up.

"Toy Freddy just left the stage, um, he looks to be getting away from Toy Chica and Bonnie's glaring contest," Jeremy said since the bunny and chicken were having a stare down on stage, well, as long as they were distracted that was fine with Jeremy.

"Let him move for a bit, any sign of Mangle or BB?" Fredbear said making Jeremy check.

"No sign of BB, Mangle is still in Kid's cove," Jeremy said as Spring Bonnie grunts moving to the left side vent.

"That's because BB is here, get outta here you little annoyance!" Spring Bonnie said kneeling down to look into the vent.

BB laughs at him before crawling out and running away, the golden rabbit huffs and got up, he went back to the desk as Jeremy does the music box.

When Toy Freddy went to move closer to the office Jeremy sent Fredbear to take him back to the stage while Spring Bonnie stood guard, old Foxy did appear once or twice at the end of the hallway but a quick flash of light sent him back to parts and service.

Though something funny did happen at 4:45 AM, BB decided to dump some glitter glue he found onto Spring Bonnie making him chase the balloon boy around the arcade area and prize corner. Jeremy was torn between laughing and concerned, laughing because it was funny as hell but concerned since it got even the Puppet to poke their head out of the box, just a tiny bit, to watch the free show.

Thankfully the Puppet went back to sleep or whatever they did inside the box after Spring Bonnie had a right mouthful at BB he made his way back to the office to try and get the glue off him, Fredbear struggled to hide his laughter at the bright pink glue on his brother. Jeremy wisely kept watching the cameras to prevent his own chuckles from coming out.

"This better not get in my joints," Spring Bonnie said as he went to the janitor closet behind Jeremy.

"Good luck getting that out," Fredbear said as the clock hit 5:00 AM.

"Well, tonight wasn't that bad...I take it the other 3 won't be?" Jeremy asked looking up.

"Yep, tonight has been...different, to say the least," Fredbear said one of the funnier ones too.

"Good to know," Jeremy said as he checks on the stage.

After a close encounter with Withered Foxy, with Fredbear catching him just in time before he could get any closer, the clock hits 6 AM letting Jeremy relax. After a minute to gather his items he thanked the golden duo and left, the two went about their routines with Spring Bonnie periodically peeling glue off of himself.

So when Derek arrived he was greeted by the sight of Spring Bonnie giving BB the stink eye while Toy Freddy was watching as Fredbear scolded Toy Bonnie and Toy Chica about something making them hang their heads looking like naughty children getting told off, Derek went over to Spring Bonnie wondering what the hell was going on.

"Morning Derek," Spring Bonnie said taking notice of him.

"Morning Springs, uh, care to explain?" Derek asked gesturing to the scolding.

"Toy Bonnie and Chica got into a fight so Fredbear is scolding them and BB here dumped glitter glue on me last night! So, yeah, it's one of those days," Spring Bonnie said as he shook his head.

"Ah, I'll let the technicians know to give you a good clean then," Derek said as he pulls out his notebook to write down a reminder.

"Oh, right! Would it be possible for another female animatronic to be brought in?" Spring Bonnie asked only to blink as Derek's head snapped up to him in complete shock and bewilderment.

"What?" Spring Bonnie asked confused.

"That's creepy! It was gonna be a surprise but that just went out the window," Derek said as he shakes his head with a sigh.

"What kind of surprise?" Spring Bonnie asked tilting his head.

"Well, with how popular you and Fredbear are we decided to bring in another animatronic, a female Golden eagle to 'round out the golden trio' as employees say, she was gonna be introduced today as a surprise," Derek said making Spring Bonnie's eyes widen.

"Really? Hm, well, I can keep it a secret, but...what's her name gonna be?" Spring Bonnie asked keeping his voice low as he glanced around.

"Kendra the Golden Eagle, she's made to be your sister and a strong female figure for little girls to look up to," Derek explains before looking around.

"If you excuse me, I have some things to do and remember, secret!" Derek said pointing at Spring Bonnie who salutes him with a smirk.

"Count on me," Spring Bonnie said with a chuckle as Derek walked off.

'Will wonders ever cease?' Spring Bonnie thought as he made a little mental note to visit Derek's office later to see the blueprints of the newest bot.

He looked over at the stage as Fredbear finished his scolding and went off to get ready for the day while the Toys recovered and started to get ready themselves, he just hoped this new bot would be able to handle the madness of the night.

'After all, we do get a bit twitchy at night' Spring Bonnie thought amused as he went to get ready, a little bounce in his step this time around.
