Eret had just dealt Zeldris a powerful attack that pierced his chest, but before he could deal the final blow, he suddenly reverted back to normal.

"What happened?" he said as he fell to the ground.

"He really went and did it," said Ragnar as he looked at Chandler.

"Now, Darkness!" said Chandler.

Chandler has used his magic to cast the entire kingdom into darkness, blocking out the sun that gave Eret his power.

Zeldris was alive, but he had taken massive damage from Eret's attack and was fighting to stay conscious. Ludociel quickly conjured up a sort of light and pulled towards him, hoping to finish him off in his weakened state.

"Time to finish you off," she said.

However, Cusack jumped in and blocked her attack with his blades before she could touch him. The two of them smiled at one another, and Cusack fired beams from his eyes, but Ludociel dodged them by somersaulting into the air.

"Please, young Master Zeldris, leave the rest of this battle into our hands," said Cusack.

"All right, you must prevent them from interfering with Meliodas," Zeldris ordered. "And do not hold back against them; show them what you're made of. You high-ranking Demons possess powers that surpass even mine."

"Certainly; however, please do not forget I may be your mentor, but it will be for very long until you become an even greater being than me."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Zeldris frowned.

"Are we done with the final farewells yet?" Ludociel asked.

"Insolent!" Cusack glared.

Gilthunder had taken a bad hit when he blocked Zeldris' previous attack. Alvin was using his healing magic to heal his wound, but it was severe.

"No use; his wound is too deep," he said. "My powers aren't enough. I beg of you, Lord Ludociel, please save Gil!"

"I'm afraid I'm preoccupied," she said.

Chandler then landed in front of them. "Huh? So I'm left to deal with this brat and taking out the remaining trash?"

Ludociel narrowed her eyes at Cusack. "As long as we're here to continue to suppress Zeldris, I have no reason to consider either of you an enemy. But if you really insist on it, then you can die before my Grace… Flash."

She then swung her light sword, but Cusack blocked them with his blades covered in darkness. He then tried to get behind her, but Ludociel predicted this and swung her blade. Soon the two of them were clashing with perfect swordplay, and it looked as if they were evenly matched. Ludociel then fired a powerful beam of light at him but noticed her clothes had been shredded.

"Not bad," she admitted.

"I am the one that taught young Master Zeldris the sword, after all," he said smugly.

However, Ludociel then suddenly so fat he didn't notice until she had pierced him in the chest with a blade of light.

"Even so, don't get carried away," she said.

Cusack then suddenly head-butted her and stumbled backwards, clutching her head. When she looked up, she saw that Cusack's hand received a single scratch.

"Not a scratch?"

"What's the matter with you, Ludociel? Already reached your limit with that borrowed vessel?" Cusack asked.

"Shall we begin here as well, Son of Belialuin?" Chandler asked Ragnar. "But this time, try not to bore me so much."

"Exterminate Ray!" said Ragnar finding a beam of magic from the tip of his staff.

"I suppose I'll return the favour," said Chandler replicating the spell, only his was far more powerful.

The two spells collided.

"The same magic as Sir Ragnar, only it multiplied," said Eret.

"His attack power is exponentially higher than Sir Ragnar; I hope he has a plan," said Alvin.

Ragnar turned and looked back at Eret. "Eret! Watch for the right moment and run to the Secret Treasure!"

Eret looked at him perplexed and looked at Rhitta, which he had discarded during his fight with Zeldris. It wasn't too far away, but it was in the middle of a war zone.

"There's no way I can get to it," he said.

Ragnar's spell was now being pushed back by Chandler's.

"What's the matter? Too much to handle?" Chandler sneered.

"Enchanted Infinity!" he said.

Suddenly Ragnar's spell got a massive power boost and quickly overwhelmed Chandler causing the entire place to shake.

"That a direct hit," said Alvin.

"Even the highest ranking of Demons are rendered helpless when faced with Sir Ragnar's Enchanted Infinity," said Eret, quickly picking himself up. "Now would be an ideal time to get to my Rhitta."

Unfortunately, before he could take more than two steps, Ludociel collided into him.

"Ragnar, nothing seems to be working on them!" Ludociel warned. "Is this the power of their magic?"

"It's not; for one reason or another, the magical powers they originally possess seem to be sealed," Ragnar observed. "Yet even without them, they still praise is the strongest of the Demon second only to the Demon King. The reasons for that are quite simple; they are exceedingly strong, exceedingly fast and exceedingly tough."

When the dust settled, both Cusack and Chandler stood there looking completely unfazed and uninjured.

"If it's not a magical power, doesn't that mean they don't have any weaknesses?" Eret asked as Ludociel healed herself.

"In plain terms, yes, however, if they don't have a weakness," Ragnar smiled as he raised his staff. "We'll have to create one ourselves."

"That's pointless! Bluffing is not going to work against those two," said Ludociel.

Ragnar merely smiled.

Seconds later. Cusack was then suddenly struck by a vortex of wind, and Chandler was suddenly electrocuted with the surge of lightning.

"What was that?" Zeldris stared. He had a hunch that Ragnar was responsible, but he had moved a single muscle. "But he didn't show any signs of movement at all."

Finally, both the surge of wind and lightning subsided, and both Cusack and Chandler now had injuries.

"Impossible," said Cusack.

"Such a boring attack, too," said Chandler.

"That's my Double Impact; you remember it when I cast it, don't you? It was the magic that disappointed you right from the start at the beginning of this fight," Ragnar smiled.

"You're saying that wasn't supposed to be offensive magic at all?" said Cusack.

"At the first wave of my attacks, I used the four elements and integrated them into different magical attacks. My primary objective was to reduce which element was most effective against each of you. For Chandler, it's the lightning, and Cusack, the wind. Now the purpose of the second wave of my magic was to considerably decrease your resistance to those elements, and furthermore, it comes with yet another added bonus. With each strike of my Infinity, your resistance continues to decrease bit by bit."

'Impressive; I'll have to be careful not to make an enemy of him,' Ludociel noted.

"As long as we know the trick…" said Chandler.

"Pacifier fiend," Cusack warned.

Chandler then raised his hand. "… With that out of the way, Absolute—"

However, before he finished casting the spell, he was immediately struck by another bolt of lightning, and it was even more powerful than the last one.

"It happened again," said Cusack as he looked around wildly. "Where the hell is she casting that magic from?"

He himself was then struck by a vortex of wind more powerful than the last.

"How dare you?!" Chandler yelled as he was hit by yet another bolt of lightning.

"Right now, this entire space is filled to the brim with both lightning and wind magic that gets automatically triggered by you every time you attempt to cast a spell or make any sort of move to attack," Ragnar explained. "This magical power can tediously activate, thus the name Infinity."

Chandler and Cusack cried out in pain as they were constantly being attacked by lightning and wind magic, and just like Ragnar said, every time they were attacked, the resistance dropped.

"W-what is this?" said Ludociel staring at the bizarre spell that trapped Chandler and Cusack. "I've never seen such bizarre magic!"

"I'm not quite sure myself," Ragnar admitted. "To each type of magical attack, I added components of invisibility, imperceptibly, and automatic tracking and then combined them with my Infinity."

'Now that's foul play,' said Ludociel.

"I'm still confused; when did you actually cast it?" Eret asked.

"When we were fighting Zeldris. While teleporting us all away from the Dark Nebula," Ragnar explained.

Eret laughed.

Gilthunder then coughed out a large amount of blood.

"Lord Ludociel, please perform a healing miracle for him," Alvin pleaded. "Gilthunder made himself a human shield to protect you."

"We both know that it wasn't me that he was protecting," Ludociel pointed out. "In any case, it's important that I preserve what magical power I have left."

Alvin just looked at her, stunned.

Both Chandler and Cusack were in a very sorry state; Ragnar's spell had really done a number on the two of them.

"We are high-ranking demons; how can we suffer such humiliation? It can't be happening!" Cusack growled furiously as he picked himself up. "Such a thing should be possible."

He then looked directly at Ragnar, chuckling.

"What's so funny?" Ragnar asked.

"Resonate!" said Cusack as his eyes glowed red, looking directly into Ragnar's.

"Something wrong, Sir Ragnar?" Eret asked, noticing something off with Ragnar.

Cusack had entered into Ragnar's mind in a similar way that he entered Gustav's. He then approached the small boy, which was Ragnar and his true form.

"Oh, I see, so this is your true appearance then," he said, chuckling. "It's surprisingly sweet. Now that I've got you trapped here, I'll make you suffer the same fate that brat who went by the name of Gustav."

He then leaned in towards a helpless Ragna. "Regret that you ever defied a high-ranking Demon. You'll have an eternity in hell to do so. From this moment on, your consciousness will be my captive."

"Those are my words to you exactly," said Ragnar before punching a surprised Cusack in the head.

He hit him with so much force that he was sent backwards and fell on his back. "B-but how?"

Ragnar then landed on top of him and sat on his chest. "It's because you're predictable; I expected you to possess me. I guess you forgot that I was blessed by the Supreme Deity, and I also strengthened my soul and spirit. Do you truly believe that it would be this easy?"

Cusack just sat there staring at him in confusion, not able to utter a single sound.

"It looks like you still haven't grasped the situation," Ragnar noted, giving him a devilish smile. "You truly are a fool. Now you're going to allow me to avenge Gustav to my heart's content."

Back in the real world, Chandler picked himself up and looked directly at Cusack.

"What's wrong?" he asked impatiently. "Hurry up and break that brat magic already!"

However, Cusack just stood there, and Chandler quickly realised that his possession had backfired greatly.

"This is bad; at this rate, we'll—" Chandler then cried out in pain once again as he was hit by lightning once more.

Zeldris then suddenly flew around the battlefield and attacked the entire area, no doubt destroying the area which was channelling Ragnar's spell. He then landed in front of them with blade and hand, but he was absolutely exhausted from his fight with Eret.

"Don't push your luck! I possess the power of the Demon King!" he said, glaring at them. "Your magical powers aren't even worth fearing! I—" He then grasped his head in pain.

Ludociel took this opportunity to strike, striking him down with her light sword, and he collapsed. With that, all three of the demons have been vanquished, though it had not been easy.

Ludociel took several deep breaths and then started to laugh joyously. "Victory! We've put an end to the long-going Holy War! I almost can't believe it! After all this time, we've finally won! Are you watching me, Mael? Look at what your brother has accomplished, and be proud!"

However, suddenly, she crossed her head in pain. "B-but why? Why can I only recall the face of Mael's killer… why Estarossa?"

Meanwhile, in Purgatory, Hiccup had his own headache.

"What's the matter?" Snotlout asked.

"Something isn't right," he said. "My memories with Estarossa? Why can't I recall them?"

"So you finally noticed, too," said a voice. "You as well; you also cannot recall those memories of Estarossa."

Snotlout looked around wildly. "That voice is—"

"Yes, without a doubt. It's him," said Luna.

They then suddenly had the ground shake.

"In any case, your constant displays of cowardice have disappointed me," said the Demon King. "As I always suspected, emotions are a useless waste of space for my sons."

They quickly spun around and saw towering over them was an old man wearing armour. He was bigger than any giant, and they couldn't get a good look at his face as it was completely black, but they could sense this feeling of dread in the back of their spines.

"This is the notorious Demon King? He's freaking gigantic!?" said Snotlout.

"And he'll only grow; the reason he's able to get great greater and greater power is by getting his fill from the creatures of Purgatory," Luna explained.

"Meliodas' father," Hiccup glared.

"What you mentioned earlier about not being able to recall any of your memories of Estarossa," said the Demon King. "The same holds true for me, as if they have been sealed somehow. I can still vividly recall all of my days in hell, and yet, anything pertaining to him in the slightest comes completely blank blocked from my view. I need you to do something for me; tell me anything at all that you can recall about him."

"From what I have heard that even though he is the son of the Demon King, he never inherited the power of darkness," said Hiccup. "He was such a softhearted coward that he even hesitated to kill a bug."

"So I took pity on the poor soul, and I bestow upon him one of the Ten Commandments," the Demon King finished.

Hiccup immediately knew that something was wrong; it wasn't like the Demon King to show any kind of compassion. He never showed any fatherly love to Meliodas or Zeldris, yet he showed compassion to a weakling such as Estarossa.

"As suspected," said the Demon King.

"What's going on?" Hiccup demanded.

"Everyone who has knowledge of Estarossa's existence, including myself, is currently being deeply deceived. That bastard, he's going to face the full force of my wrath!"

"Bastard?" Hiccup frowned, and certainly, realisations dawned on him. "Could it be?"

Meanwhile, Fishlegs' group were now currently battling against an out-of-control Estarossa on the island in the sky.

Estarossa and the tentacles of darkness at Fishlegs, who quickly dodged it and then blasted him with his spear. However, appear to have any effect on the dark tendrils that struck the island temple. Dereri punched back the dark tentacles with her fist, and Sariel and Tarmiel dodged them. It was clear to all of them that Estarossa was completely out of control. He went on a mad rampage.

Toothless had just landed on one of the pillars with Astrid, and both of them were looking down at Estarossa.

"Estarossa… that's wrong. That person is…"

Astrid then began thinking back to 3,000 years ago, just after they had sprung Gowther out of the Demon prison and escaped Zeldris.

"Listen carefully, Astrid, regarding the Holy War; I am about to activate a forbidden spell in exchange for my life and magical power," he explained. "You need to be prepared for this."

"What kind of forbidden spell are we talking about?" Astrid asked.

"This spell alters the memories of one particular man along with the memories of those who know him. It's powerful and even affects the gods."

"I still fail to understand how altering the memories of a single man is going to end the Holy War."

"Because the man is truly exceptional with both his raw strength and influence. If this forbidden spell is properly executed, then it will pressure the Angel Clan to use the Coffin of Eternal Darkness, but I'm a bit short of the magic power needed in order to execute it. I'm asking you to assist me by lending me your power, Astrid. Please, help me."

"I will do whatever it takes in this," said Astrid.

"I just hope that you forgive me, you have been through so much, and I'm asking you to do a lot more. Though I would also ask you if you can forgive Hiccup, he too has lost much in this war. It only stands that he could not lose you."

Astrid folded her arms furiously. "So instead, he chose me to be trapped inside this body."

"Just please consider it."

Ludociel was having a massive mental breakdown. "Why Estarossa? I don't understand!"

It wasn't just Ludociel, as Ragnar also had a splitting headache as well.

"Aren't you all right?" Eret asked.

'If you're wondering if the altered memories will ever revert back to normal in the future. There is a slight possibility, yes. Those affected by the forbidden spell will share the same be written memories.'

Dereri punched one of Estarossa's tentacles apart. "I'll take you down with my own hands… Estarossa?"

Sariel blew back the tentacles with his Grace and then suddenly felt a twinge of pain in his head. "What's happening?"

Tarmiel experience the same thing. "Something's wrong. I-I can't remember Mael's face now."

Fishlegs blasted back the tentacles with his spear and noticed that everyone around him were in a great deal of pain for some reason.

"Everyone is acting so strange," he said.

'If something happens to one of them, some sort of accident or trigger, then it ends up creating a crack in those memories.'

In Purgatory, Snotlout looked at Hiccup with concern. "Hiccup?"

Eret was deeply concerned about Ragnar, who looked as if he was in a lot of pain. "What's wrong? You look like you're in a lot of pain."

"Eret, get the Sacred Treasure now!" Ragnar ordered.

"Very well," said Eret and dashed to retrieve his Secret Treasure.

However, out of everyone, it was Ludociel who was in the greatest amount of pain and crying out in anguish.

'It will be gradual at first, but eventually, everyone's memories will collapse all at once.'

Dereri flew towards Estarossa, punching and kicking away his dark tendrils. "Estarossa! Just who the hell are you, huh? You're not part of the Ten Commandments at all! Give Ruby back now!"

'Realisation turns into doubt.'

"No! Ruby belongs to me!" Estarossa roared. "Blame my brother. All of this is Meliodas' fault!"

'And doubt turns into belief.'

Estarossa then, too, began suffering from the same affliction. "Brother? But how did I…"

Deep within Estarossa's darkness, Ruby began looking for her memories of Estarossa and saw a number of contradictions.

'Estarossa… all of this is a misunderstanding. Meliodas would never tell a lie if it meant he would be hurting his brother. He talked about it all the time; he was always concerned about his brother Zeldris.'

Then she frowned in confusion and began remembering the conversation the two of them had 3,000 years ago.

"No matter how much it takes, I want to save both Zeldris and Gelda," said Meliodas.

"Of course, but wow, you really are a devoted big brother, aren't you?" Ruby smiled.

"Well, after all, Zeldris is my one and only brother."

'What does this mean? What about Estarossa?'

She then remembered a talk she had with a young Estarossa.

"Did you have a fight with your brother again?" she asked.

"That's not it," said Estarossa. "Everyone keeps calling me a coward. They say I couldn't even kill the bug."

"And you're worried about what they think?"

"Not exactly, but it's true being seen that way brings disgrace to my brother.

They then heard a dog barking. When they looked down, they saw a puppy nuzzling Ruby's leg. She smiled down at it and picked it up in her arms.

"You know that dog?" Estarossa asked.

The dog then began licking her leg. "Stop! That tickles! When I met him, he was injured and couldn't move at all.

"I see. Does he have a name?"

"Yeah, it's Estarossa. Meliodas name him; isn't it a great name?"

'That can't be! Estarossa was the name of that puppy?'

Ruby then noticed Estarossa making a disapproving look. "You made a weird face when I said that? What's wrong?"

Estarossa looked away from her. "Oh, it's nothing."

'Then who are you?'

Ruby tried to think hard about the true identity of Estarossa, and that's when she remembered that he had angel wings. Now that she thought about it, it was also strangely met out in the open in the heavens, which could only be possible if they were part of the same clan.

'No way…' The image of Estarossa changed into the place right a young angel with long silver hair. 'That person looks just like…'

"I think it's a wonderful name, really," he said.

'Could you actually be?'

Everyone who had memories of Estarossa was now experiencing immense pain as they began to remember his true identity.

"At last, the memories of everyone that knew him have returned to their original form," said Astrid. "Memories of being within the Demon Clan become memories of the Angel Clan. Memories of Meliodas as an older brother become memories with Ludociel instead."

Estarossa's true memories were now coming to the surface; he remembered fighting against the Demon Clan as an Angel. He remembered that Ludociel was, in fact, his older brother instead of Meliodas. In fact, the only memory that seemed to be truthful was his immense jealousy and anger at Meliodas, who had stolen the heart of the woman he loved. Additionally, the memory of him killing Mael was another false memory.

A massive vortex began to surround Estarossa as he cried out in anguish.

"What's going on?" Toothless yelled.

"If anything worrisome happens, I'll stop it," Astrid promised.

"Astrid? What are you talking about?" Toothless asked.

"Even if I lose my life for this, it is both my other sin and responsibility," said Astrid as she closed her eyes. "A burden that I share with Gowther. I will see it through."

The vortex was finally dispelled, and when everyone looked down at Estarossa, they saw the darkness on his dark wings cracking. The darkness then began to crumble, revealing two pairs of angel wings. His armour had also disappeared, revealing a pure white coat, and instead of wearing a pair of boots, he was, in fact, wearing open-toed sandals.

"Estarossa of the Ten Commandments never existed from the start," said Astrid. "Although that's what everyone believed at the start, his real identity was always…"

"How can that be?" Sariel stared.

"No, I can't believe it," Tarmiel gasped.

"… One of the Four Archangels, Mael," said Astrid.
