"Alright." Sarah said, smiling widely as she warmed her hands via the warm cup of hot chocolate in her hand. They were in the small coffee shop inside the terminal, warming themselves up with coffee and chocolate, impatiently waiting for Sarah's idea. "So, I was thinking about the case, trying to get an idea on the what, how and why. Mya, you already figured out that our perp is targeting banks that are on or near one particular road, however that is not the only consistency he is pursuing." She mischievously said, pausing for emphasis.

"What do you mean?" Jack asked.

Here," she said, bending down to grab an iPad from her purse, which was on the floor. Once she unlocked it, she slid and tapped until she found what she was looking for. "Look at this." She said, flipping the iPad so everyone could see. "Notice anything?"

Sue scrutinized the photo, which was a map of the northeastern coast, the date and location of each heist pinpointed. Seeing what her friend was getting at, her eyes grew wide as she pointed to the tablet and looked at her husband. "See, look! One heist in Maine, two in New Hampshire, and now two in Vermont."

"OK?" Dustin asked, not getting it.

"Can't you see?" Mya complained. "He's going to attack another bank today! 1, 2, 3!"

Once everyone realized the intention, everyone looked at each other with wide eyes. "How will we know where he's going to attack today?" Kimmy worriedly asked. "There's only a few more hours in the working day and a whole lotta state!"

Sarah smiled. "Well, once I found out the when, I started working on the where. Looking at all the Vermont banks that are on or near the street, I narrowed the possibilities significantly. Then, I deleted banks that were near the last heist."

"Why?" Bobby interrupted.

"Because he doesn't want us to be easy access. Think about it, the further away he is from us, the better his chances are of getting away."

"Which is why you brought us here, near the end of Vermont." Jack surmised.

"Exactly!" She excitedly replied, happy everyone was getting it. "The last bank on or near the street before it becomes Massachusetts is just down the street, and I had called them before I left, so they're aware of the scenario, ready to help us in any way they can."

"That's good." Jack replied. "How do you propose we go about this?"

"I was planning on going undercover as a teller, along with Mya and Kimmy, since he's seen you and Bobby. When he comes in and demands money, I implement a tracker into the money, then you guys follow him to wherever he goes."

But we know from the teller's testimony that he threatened to kill them if they did that." Dustin replied.

Sarah shrugged. "I guess I'll just have to take my chances. I want to get this guy as much as you do!"

"I can't let you do that." Jack sternly replied. "It's too dangerous."

"Oh, and you haven't done dangerous things?" She asked.

"No, but I weigh the cause against the effect."

"Oh, so you think it's better to let this guy stay free?" She argued, her voice getting louder, causing the few people in the shop to stop and stare.

"No, of course not!" He replied. "I just think it's better if he's free and you're alive than he's captured and you're dead."

"But nothing's going to happen! I've got it all planned out!" Sarah exclaimed.

Before he could reply, Sue touched her husband's shoulder. "She seems to know what she's doing. If Mya and Kimmy are up for it, why don't you let her at least try?"

"Because she's putting her life in grave danger, that's why!" He replied to her.

"She's willing to take that chance. Right?" She asked, looking at Sarah.

"Yes." She determinedly replied.

"And we're willing to help her." Mya said, looking at Kimmy, who nodded, then back at Jack.

Jack sighed. "I guess I've been outnumbered. Alright, you can try. But if we suspect any danger at all, at all," he warned, leaning close to her as he pointed his finger. "We're pulling you out, no matter what that means for our perp."

"Alright." She conceded, a smile hiding behind her serious expression. "So, is everyone ready to go catch this guy?"

"Yeah!" Everyone happily exclaimed, getting up to leave for the bank.

?-?

"You know, I really don't like this." Jack complained yet again as he and Bobby were sitting in the mobile command truck, watching the surveillance cameras.

"I know. But you have to admit, her idea is pretty good." He replied, chuckling.

"Yes, it is. And I'm grateful she figured out which bank he's going to be at, but still, this is on the boarder of being illegal."

"She'll be fine, you'll see. She's stronger than you think." He assured.

Just then, Sarah, Kimmy and Mya replaced the real tellers, and now everyone had their eyes open as wide as they could, watching and waiting.

An hour passed, and their perp didn't show. To top it all off, it was a quiet day at the bank in general.

"Maybe he decided to cancel this stop after the fiasco earlier. Bobby suggested, leaning on the table, underneath his crossed arms.

Jack shook his head. "He wouldn't miss his pattern. He'll be here."

Just as he was finishing his sentence, something on the outside camera peaked Bobby's interest, resulting in him siting up straight. "Hey, isn't that our guy, wearing the same clothes he stole in the mall?"

Jack nodded as he looked at the screen. "Yep, looks like." He then leaned over to the mic, which was connected to everyone involved. "This is it." He simply said, then went back to watch the screen, praying that everyone would be safe.
