Today Hinata woke up with a purpose. She decided that she had enough of self pitying. It's time to get her life back on track. So what if she's pregnant? And the father is basically a complete stranger to her, and is also her husband. Hinata sighed and got back into bed.
Itachi has barely been around. He throws himself into missions, not really hiding the fact that he wants to avoid her and their 'situation' at all costs.
That's it, Hinata got out of bed and straight to her bathroom. She took a well needed shower. She got changed into her usual over sized jacket. She made her way to the kitchen and started on breakfast. She decided to tend to the garden today. Maybe it'll help relax her mind and take it off a certain someone. But first she needs to get the necessary equipment.
After eating Hinata put on her usual ninja sandels at the door and made her way to one of Konoha's top markets.
It didn't take long for news to get out after the wedding that the sweet and innocent Hinata got knocked up, by an Uchiha of all people. The stares were quite a bothersome. Hinata's cheeks had a tint of pink from all the attention she was getting. It was very uncomfortable to say the least.
Hinata was looking around for some plants seeds trying her best to ignore the stares and mean comments made by complete strangers when she heard her a loud cough from behind her. She ignored it of course, just like she was ignoring everyone else, as the whispers got louder and more for some odd reason. The cough got louder this time and when she made no move to turn to the mystery cough, she felt a tap on her shoulder.
Annoyed, she turned towards the coughing person with a slight scowl on her face, that was wiped completely off her face when she realized who she has been ignoring the entire time, the hokage. Make sense why the crowd became more noisey.
Hinata made a slight bow, "good morning Hokage-sama, sorry for my rudeness."
Her face reminds me of Sakura's hair Kakashi thought.
He gave her a closed eye smile and a wave of his left hand, "I told you before, call me Kakashi."
"That seems to impolite Hokage-sama.", Hinata avoided his gaze and had her hands folded infront of her growing belly.
"How about this, if its just the two of us you can call me Kakashi." Kakashi seemed hopeful.
Hinata thought about it for a second and slowly nodded her head, agreeing reluctantly.
Kakashi clappes his hands together, loudly at that, startling Hinata. He didn't seem to notice or chose to ignore it.
"I hope you and the baby are doing well. I already know about Itachi. He'll come around eventually," Kakashi was hopeful, Hinata was not.
"Please don't be a stranger and come visit now and again, your friends miss you aswell." The Hokage gave her a small wave before disappearing into the crowd, hand reaching for a firmiliar book.
Hinata blinked a few times, trying to comprehend the weird encounter just now. She shrugged her shoulders and carried on with her task.
--
The sun started to set. Hinata wiped the sweat of her forhead, she stood up and stretched. She felt cramped from the squatting position she was in, mending the garden. She made her way inside and went up to her room and took another well needed shower. She came to the conclusion that all pregnant women always deserve a well needed shower. After her shower she decided to start on supper, for two. And by two, she meant for her and the baby. But just like every night, she was hopeful, and made a serving for three just incase.
After cooking Hinata went to throw out some rubbish when she got a whiff of someone else's cooking that made her instantly gag and tears form at her eyes. She could feel her insides coming up and quickly made her way to her bathroom. Little did know someone witnessed the entire incident.
She was hunched over the toilet throwing up everything she had for the day, it was not a pretty sight. She bent over again as the stench of her vomit made her more nauseated. Her hair getting in her way, until she felt someone pull back her lose locks and strands.
She could see who it was at the corner of her eyes, her husband was home.
He rubbed small circles on her back while holding back her hair. Hinata was very confused by this nice gesture. But the way she was feeling right now, she couldn't have cared less. She was grateful.
Itachi handed Hinata a glass of water which she accepted with shaken hands. He noticed, and helped her hold the glass to drink the water. Now Hinata had the time to care about his strange behaviour.
"Itachi-san, are you feeling okay?" her voice came out raspy, her throat raw.
Itachi frowned, "yes, why wouldn't I be?"
"You being nice to me, to nice." Hinata looked down at the glass in her lap.
Itachi sighed, "I realized I was being to harsh on you. It was unfair of me. The least I can do is be a good father. Because I know a husband I cannot."
Hinata understood. That was all she needed to hear before she started crying. Knowing she won't be alone in all of this. She blamed her hormones of course.
Itachi didn't know what to do, he simply backed away slowly and he was gone. Hinata laughed of course, that was the Itachi she knew. Damn hormones.
