Apartment Rooftop
Nadia was seen on the rooftop sparing with Assassin. The young Magus was armed with a black bo staff on hand while Assassin manifested her personalities in separate physical forms.
Assassin would constantly throw their dirks at her while some use close quarters to prevent Nadia from avoiding the dirks. But the latter fend off those who attempted to close the distance between her all while deflecting the dirks with swift motions of her staff.
As for the dirks that managed to make it past the range of the staff, Nadia resorted to narrowly avoiding the dirks with little adjustments of her head and body and covered certain spots of her body with defensive magic.
One hour later, their sparring session soon ended, and Nadia takes a few breathing exercises to relieve her muscles for today's session.
"Thank you for assisting me with today's training, Assassin," Nadia thanked,
"Not at all, We're glad to have cooperated with your training, Nadia-sama," Assassin said while the other personalities nodded in response,
Nadia simply shrugged her shoulders, then goes back to her room with Assassin by her side.
However, as Nadia and Assassin were in front of the door. They began to hear certain noises coming from Saitama's room.
Nadia then decided to go to Saitama's room, and peer through the door with magic. Just by the balcony of Saitama's room was moving so incredibly fast that it almost looked like he was teleporting.
'What is he doing?' Nadia questioned, and peers more thoroughly to the situation. In a few brief moments, Nadia could see something small flying all over the balcony. The very sight of this caused Nadia to sweatdrop as Saitama failed to kill something as small as a mosquito, 'This is just sad...'
"What seems to be the problem, Nadia-sama?" Assassin questioned,
"It's nothing. But besides that, we'd better head out to the market on City- G," Nadia said, "I heard that their stocks are being sold for a reasonable price,"
Nadia then went to her room for a change of clothes then departed to City - G. But not before seeing Saitama yelling as he chased after a mosquito with a can of bug spray on hand.
"Where is he going?" Assassin questioned,
"Probably off to kill that mosquito that's been bothering him obviously," Nadia remarked,
However, she soon paid no attention to this and went on ahead to City - G's supermarket.
City - G
Nadia was seen browsing the aisles and sections of food with discounts and added some freshly caught fish onto her cart. Assassin remained in her spirit form as per Nadia's order.
As the two browsed through the market aisles, some of the customers noticed her and a woman even approached her to address a certain problem.
"Excuse me," A woman called out, and Nadia turns to her, "Are you lost by any chance?"
"Not really," Nadia answered, "I came here to shop for something that I want to buy,"
"How old are you?" The woman asked,
"I'm 12 years old," Nadia answered, which surprised not only the woman but also a few customers within the vicinity,
"Why is someone as young as you shopping?" The woman questioned quite sternly, "Where are your parents,"
"I don't have any," Nadia answered, "But I do have my own money,"
This shocked the woman even further while Nadia remained calm since she was used to being all by herself.
Before the woman could do anything else to Nadia, one of the customers then shouts through the store, "Monster!"
Everyone soon heard the cry and immediately panics while the woman puts her priorities on Nadia instead of herself, "This isn't good. Come with me before-"
The woman suddenly gasps when Nadia was nowhere to be seen and looks around for her.
Meanwhile, in the fish aisle. People panicked as a fish-like monster was seen standing on top of the aisle while some man wearing an armored suit, a green bicycle helmet, dark-shaded goggles, black leather suit, gauntlets, and knee pads was down on one knee as he was roughed up by the fish monster.
"To think that I was concerned over such rubbish! I overestimated these so-called Heroes!" The Fish Monster claimed, "My vengeance to you humans is assured!"
The customers in the area could only watch as the monster triumphantly laughed over the hero. The latter then tried to get up on his feet, but he soon stopped when the Fish Monster was suddenly caught unaware by an unexpected newcomer.
"What the?!" The Fish Monster exclaimed as the Masked Individual suddenly appeared from behind, and caught the monster with a neck lock.
Without hesitation or a word said, the Masked Individual snaps the fish monster's neck and threw it towards the floor since she didn't want it crushing the fish on the aisle.
As he dropped down, she glanced at the fish already stomped by the monster, and clicked his tongue at the sight of it,
After that comment, he turns to the biker hero and offers him a hand.
The biker hero hesitated at first, but he took his hand, and helped him up to his feet, "Thank you for the assist,"
The Masked Individual simply nodded and walked past him and the crowd. The Biker hero tried to call out for him, as well as pass through the crowd.
But he finds no one as the Masked Individual had somehow vanished into thin air.
He does recall a certain task that was told by the executives of the Heroes Association. Sightings of the Masked Individual are to be reported, and the biker hero did just that as he pulled out his phone and contacted the Association.
A few moments later...
Nadia was seen walking back to City - Z with discounted groceries on hand, but she held a dissatisfied look on her face.
"What seems to be the problem, Nadia-sama?" Assassin spoked even as she retains her spiritual form,
"It's because of that woman earlier," Nadia said and gloomed her head down "I just feel embarrassed after I've gotten to the cashier. Regardless of how much I tried to reason with her, she decided to pay for my groceries and treated me like some lost child,"
Before the woman could drag her away from the store, Nadia used magic to conceal herself for a guaranteed escape.
Nadia sighs once more, then lets the matter slide as she makes her way back to City - Z. Though she would conceal herself to avoid a similar incident such as this one.
Meanwhile...
The staff of the Heroes Association then reported yet another sighting of the Masked Individual in City - G. This report came from the biker hero known as 'Mumen Rider', A Class C Hero of the Association.
"That marks the 15th report," Busho said, then stares at the pictures of the Masked Individual's previous sightings, "Yet, we still have no clue on where this person is,"
"But at least we're making progress," Jizuren added, "With that reports accumulated for the past year, we're able to cross out a couple of cities he had been less frequent with and pinpoint its supposed destination. Strangely, it leads all the way up to one certain City,"
"City - Z," Busho finished, then turns to Bespectacled Worker, "Is there a possibility that this Masked Hero is a monster from Ghost Town?"
"I highly doubt it, most of the reports state that this individual is human. Even a few of the Class S Heroes said so," Jizuren said while fixing his glasses, "However, they stated that his abilities are vastly different compared to the majority of an average hero,"
Busho sighed once and then turns back to the screens. He often pondered on what are the motives of this Masked Individual. But in the end, he couldn't think of one as this person is shrouded with mystery.
City - Z
Nadia continued making her way back to the Apartment building, but as she was about pass by an alleyway, she noticed a long streak of charred stone and gravel in the area.
She felt suspicious of this site and began using some sort of flight magic to investigate. Once she was up in the area, she couldn't believe her eyes at the sight she was gazing upon.
An entire area of City - Z's Ghost Town had been charred by something. Just gazing at it makes her feel a bit uneasy, but she can tell that this destruction was made by some sort of technological weapon and not magic.
Therefore, she decided to keep her guard up in case she ever meets the one responsible.
But after a while, she puts this thought aside and focuses on getting back to the apartment building.
Upon her return, she checked on Saitama by knocking on his door a few times.
"Saitama-san? Are you there?" Nadia questioned,
Moments later, she heard Saitama unlocking his door and peeking his head out. Apparently, he sighed as well much to Nadia's confusion, "Oh, it's just you,"
"Just me? What do you mean by that?" Nadia questioned, "Also, May I come in? I bought some food,"
"Sure," Saitama replied and lets her and Assassin in,
As Nadia puts the food on Saitama's counter, they talked about the recent events of today. One of which earned Nadia's curiosity.
"Someone wants to be your disciple?" Nadia repeated,
"Yeah, After I handled some mosquito. Some cyborg asked for my name and wanted to be my disciple," Saitama explained, "I'm sure it wouldn't be much of a problem,"
"Did you approve his request?" Nadia questioned,
"I think so," Saitama vividly replied,
"Then I presume that you'll be seeing him soon in the future," Nadia noted, "People who often asked stronger people to become their disciples is a sign that that person is desperate to become strong themselves. As far as the books I've read, that person might live with you as well,"
Saitama made a puzzled look on his face, then suddenly paled a bit after recalling his initial response to the cyborg's request, "Maybe I shouldn't have answered so quickly..."
"Either way, he's your responsibility," Nadia concluded,
"But what about you? What did you do while you were out?" Saitama questioned,
"Oh, I went to some marketplace with discounted products. Nothing special," Nadia replied, then pales at the thought of the woman there, "Although, I did run into some trouble along the way,"
"Was it someone who asked to be your disciple?" Saitama questioned,
"Of course not, It's just someone person who misunderstood me for some lost child," Nadia corrected, "In the past two years, No one has mistaken me for a lost child before. But once I started living here, I never thought that someone would mistake me for some lost child before. It's freaking embarrassing,"
"I see..." Saitama understood, "But to be frank, You kinda are like one when I first saw you on the streets and all,"
"That may be true. But since I can't afford to have another incident happening again, I'm asking you this one thing," Nadia said, and she takes a deep breath before stating her request, "Can you accompany me whenever there's a sale? I don't want people misunderstanding me again..."
"That's it? If so, I don't mind," Saitama said, "Also, you tend to find markets with great discounts,"
"Thanks, Saitama-san," Nadia thanked, then picked up her chopsticks, "Now let's eat already,"
The two shared a meal after their conversation, hung out for a bit, then Nadia returned to her room after the night was over.
That is it for this part of Chapter 2. But before you all go, I do have something that I would like to share with you all. After watching the OVAs of One Punch Man, I just so happen to learn that after Saitama saved Genos from Mosquito Girl, The cyborg arrives at Saitama's doorstep a few days after that incident.
For that, I'm going to use this to extend Chapter 2 for original content as well as in between interactions with Saitama if possible.
