Hey guys! Crescent Rider here and I am back with the second part of the chapter. Normally I would begin with Nadia in the scene. But I've decided to try something else for this occasion.

Let me know your opinion about it.

Also, I've decided that there will be part 3 of this chapter. And it might be short, but regardless, I'm doing it.

Heroes Association Gym Area

The Tank Top Army was preparing themselves for another workout session. But their minds were currently focused on the punching bag as Tank Top Master bends down and inspects the damage.

'I could send a larger punching bag than this in no sweat, but...' Tank Top Master then recalls the expression of the little girl in his mind, and concluded on the matter, 'This wasn't strength... This was rage...'

Tank top Master stood upstraight, and his followers just stared at him,

'Just how did she obtain such strength...' Tank Top Master questioned himself, 'From someone so young, and without a tank top,'

"U-Um, Boss," A Tank Top hero called out,

"Everyone," Tank Top Master called out without batting an eye at them, "We will train harder this time,"

'B-Boss?" Another Tank Top Hero muttered while the rest just glanced at each other,

When Tank Top Master turned his head to them, he maintained a serious expression towards his followers, "And we will begin immediately,"

The members of the Tanktop army took this order seriously and began training their hardest. Thus occupying the entirety of the gym's schedule.

Meanwhile

The Mastermind of the robbery was being sent to maximum security due to his criminal record.

However, he and Speed o' Sound Sonic were sharing the same cell. But the latter was restrained with a full body straitjacket, and a metal mask was placed over his mouth.

After putting the Mastermind into his cell, Speed o' Sound Sonic overheard the guards' chatter.

"Hey, did you know about that new hero that stopped the robbery?" Cop 1 inquired,

"Yeah, I think her name was Nadia, and I recall that she's currently the second youngest hero to join the Heroes Association," Cop 2 said, "I also heard from several bystanders that she was faster than the eye could see. In fact, one of the robbers was sent to a hospital after receiving a long blade into his chest. It wasn't fatal, but it sure is painful considering the length of that blade,"

"You think she'll reach Class S?" Cop 1 questioned,

"With skills like that, I wouldn't be surprised if she'd make it top," Cop 2 jokingly said,

The two would soon leave, and Sonic was glancing at the two cops the whole time.

'Faster than the eye could see?' Sonic muttered to himself, then made a smirk beneath his mask, 'I wonder what she will think when she meets me...'

Though unknownst to him, he has already met her before...

City - W

Nadia arrives at the restaurant 'House of Takoyaki' and went to the front table to ring the bell. But the way she rings it was more of a code than a single tap.

Nadia then sees Dr. Genus coming in with a tray of freshly cooked takoyaki, and serves it to Nadia.

As she eats the takoyaki, Dr. Genus sat down and clasps his fingers together.

"I've completed the analysis of that drug you just brought in," Genus said, "It's rather fascinating due to the molecular structure as well as the mixture of several compounds that thoroughly mutates a regular man into a gargantuan,"

"And did you modify it with the materials I provided you?" Nadia inquired,

"I did, though I'm inclined to ask on where you found such things," Genus stated, "It's not something that's easily found in some parts of this world,"

"Let's just say I've done some digging without the attraction of certain organizations or people," Nadia answered, before finishing the last takoyaki on the tray, "Even you are no exception to that rule,"

"I see," Genus said, "Then what do you intend to do with it?"

Nadia then puts the pin stick onto the tray, and exhales once before looking at Genus in the eye, "I want you to inject it into me,"

Genus widens his eyes as he didn't expect a request whatsoever. Then his surprise turned to curiosity as he leaned forward, "Why?"

"Why what?" Nadia asked,

"Why would you choose this path? Couldn't you have at least thought of another alternative besides drug enhancements and such?" Genus said,

"My case is... different than most people," Nadia admitted, then presented her arm to him, and shows her Magic Circuits, "This procedure will only increase my power as a Mage, not as a human. The materials I proved are meant for this sort of procedure to work,"

"Shouldn't there be other ways to improve it?" Genus said,

"There are, but my way of improvement is through these sort of means," Nadia stated, then glances down at her arm, "It's a risk, but I'm willing to take as much as I need for the long run,"

"But if you keep on doing this, then the possibility of this procedure failing with inevitably cause irreversible damage to your body," Genus pointed out,

Nadia scoffed before closing her eyes to recall the things that happened in her life. Before long, she made a serious look on her face, and Genus understood as he closed his eyes and nodded a couple of times.

"Very well," Genus admitted, then stood up from his chair, "If you are willing to do it, then follow me to the basement. For we will proceed with the procedure there,"

Nadia felt some money and a reasonable tip on the tray before following Genus to the basement of his restaurant.

Upon arrival, the interior is proven to be quite more durable than regular walls and a chair was prepared in the middle of the room.

Nadia proceeded to sit down while Genus grabbed the syringe containing a newly modified version of the 'Biceps King'. But the color of this drug was pure blue than its previous discolored form.

First, Genus strapped Nadia's wrists and heels as per her request before modifying the drug, and turns to her one last time, "Are you ready?"

Nadia stayed silent for a while, then nods her head without a word to say to him. Genus then proceeded in injected the entire drug into Nadia's bloodstream and left the room afterward.

Moments later, Nadia could already feel the drug taking effect and her Magic Circuit began to appear and pain begins surged across her entire body.

She was grunting through it all, clenching her hands, feet, and teeth, and her eyes kept changing color as she goes through the entire process.

Eventually, her grunts turned to screams as the pain became somewhat unbearable. But in the midst of her agony, her Magic Circuit grew at an exponential rate in a matter of minutes.

Before long, she forcibly breaks free from her restraints and soon fell to the floor on all fours before exhaustingly panting while spew out a handful of saliva mixed with pints of blood on the floor.

Her eyes slowly changed back into their original color and closed them soon afterward.

Genus returns to the room with Armored Gorilla by his side and stood a few meters away from Nadia.

"So, how did it go?" Genus questioned,

Nadia didn't respond to his question for a full minute, nor did she raise her head to him. He and Armored Gorilla glanced at each other for a bit, then back at Nadia.

After some time, Nadia slowly gets up from the floor and Genus just took a step back as soon as she straightens herself up.

Nadia then takes a deep breath, and her Magic Circuits slowly disappear from her limbs. But the process was slower than normal.

"Are you alright?" Armored Gorilla questioned,

Nadia still remained silent, then turns to him for an answer, "I'm fine,"

"Then I assume that the process was a success?" Genus inquired,

"In a way," Nadia responded, though her body still feels sore all over,

She then walks her way towards the door, while Genus and Armored Gorilla steps aside through as they watched her go.

They made their way out of the basement, and Nadia slings her bag onto her shoulder.

"Thanks for the meal," Nadia weakly thanked and left the takoyaki shop to go back to City - Z,

Once she was gone, Genus and Armored Gorilla conversed to themselves.

"Are you sure she's alright?" Armored Gorilla asked,

"I'm not so sure, to be honest," Genus replied, "The drug was highly potent. Resisting its side effects can be quite dangerous for someone her age. I'm just surprised that she still has the strength to even leave this room,"

"Then... What happens if she dies by it?" Armored Gorilla said,

"Only fate will decide that matter," Genus said and leaves the room with his hands in his pockets while Armored Gorilla follows behind him,

Meanwhile

Nadia was outside City - W and was seen leaning against the wall due to the pain still present.

'You do realize that you're playing a dangerous game, Aren't you?' The voice questioned,

"I know..." Nadia replied, "And why are you asking?"

'Cause, we're all you, and the more you do this kind of thing. The greater it affects us all,' The Strict voice pointed out, 'And who knows, You might end up killing yourself and the rest of us altogether'

"We've already been hurt before, why remind me?" Nadia said,

'That was the past,' The Strict voice specified, 'The present doesn't count. How many more of this are you going to go for'

"As far as I can take," Nadia said,

The Strict voice stayed silent for a while, then sighs at her answer, 'I swear... You're as stubborn as I remember,'

"And you're as annoying as ever," Nadia commented,

After that conversation, Nadia makes her way back to City - Z. Though she takes it nice and slow until the pain passes.

City - Z

The pain finally passes, and Nadia was now able to walk properly.

As she makes her way toward the apartment, she spots two individuals near the area and approaches them.

"Excuse me," Nadia called out,

The two individuals turned to her, and Nadia recognizes them as Class A Heroes, Gold Ball, and Spring Mustachio. However, the two were a bit taken aback by Nadia's sudden arrival.

"What are you two doing here?" Nadia asked,

the duo glanced at each other, then back at her.

"We were sent here to investigate this part of City - Z. But what's a young girl like you doing out here?" Golden Ball questioned,

"Well, I live here. Why do you think I came all this way?" Nadia responded,

"Live here?" Golden Ball muttered,

"Wait a minute, Aren't you Nadia? The Newest member of Class A?" Spring Mustachio presumed,

"Yes, and what of it?" Nadia responded,

"For someone new to Hero Registry. You sure do pick an unusual place to live in," Spring Mustachio commented,

"The monsters here aren't really much of a problem," Nadia stated, "Besides, I happened to have this entire area under my watch as well,"

"What do you mean by that?" Golden Ball inquired,

But his answer soon came with Assassin's arrival as she appeared in black smoke and bends a knee before her Master. The two Class A Heroes were surprised and almost assumed a fighting stance.

However, They stopped when they saw Assassin bowing her before Nadia. However the mask she wears slowly resembled that of the Masked Individual.

"Nadia, I have a report that a monster was sighted entering this area," Assassin reported,

"Did it spot you?" Nadia questioned,

"No," Assassin replied, "What are your orders?"

"Remain on standby, but keep an eye on it. If it comes near this area, let me know," Nadia ordered,

"Understood," Assassin replied, before disappearing in the same way she appeared,

After that, Nadia turns back to the two Class A Heroes, "There you have it,"

"I can see why you've covered this entire area," Golden Ball said, "Whoever that was, I can assume that you've got a lot of people watching every corner of this place,"

"Not the sewers or the skies though," Nadia clarified, "And their range is pretty much limited since they can't be too far away from each other without me knowing,"

"If there is a monster in this area. It'd be wise that we handle it before it gets any stronger," Spring Mustachio suggested, "Would you like to assist us on this?"

"Normally, I would. But I'm tired, so I'll leave this matter to your hands instead," Nadia said, then passes through them as she makes her way to the stairs, "Good luck though,"

Golden Ball and Spring Mustachio then agreed to her decision as they assumed that she had done some hero work before and searched for this monster.

Nadia then enters her room, places her bag on the counter, and lies down on her bed face first before closing her eyes to sleep in for today...
