The interrogating of the Valuer household staff was going on for three days now much to the displeasure of everyone but mainly Ash and Amelia. Sure the Performer got a little bit of practice in just before she went to bed but not enough to finish up her figure skating Performance. Amelia in her personal dance studio had Espeon and Oricorio out as Ash watched on much to his amusement. At least something fun happened these days compared to what's bothering the family.

A huge bang similar to an explosion sounded and shook the room the two were in. During the shock Amelia fell over as she performed a move. The two ran out of the dance studio and saw pieces of furniture that fell over. The staff hurrying to check on one another Amelia looked franticly around in a panic.

"What was that!?"

Amelia grabbed one of the workers and demanded to know more.

"Father! Mother! Someone check on them this instance!"

The servant nodding rushed off to check on her parents as Alfonzo joined her side. Worried for his watch he was relieved she was ok.

"What happened?" Ash asked her personal aid as someone else yelled out what caused the explosion and a large part of the floor sunken into the ground.

"One of the escape tunnels leading outside the city caved in!"

"Escape tunnels?" Ash asked Alfonzo as the aid told him.

"A network of tunnels were laid down during the construction of the estate. The Valuer residence contains multiple hidden tunnels which we can use in case of an emergency." Keeping the fact hidden from Ash the secret tunnels had secret tunnels even Amelia wasn't aware off. From the top of the stairs Louise ran down to her daughter.

"Amelia!" Hugging her tight Amelia returned it.

"Mother! I'm all right. How's father?"

"OUT OF MY WAY!"

The enraged voice of the man of the house he stormed outside not even checking on his staff. A black car parked in front of the house some of the residents of Fluerrh City passed by and parted a path not daring to get in his way.

"Olivier! In the car and drive to where the exit of the tunnel goes!"

They were going to try to cut off the one that caused the blast at the exit. The collapsed tunnel is the primary route of escape and only led to one exit.

"I'm coming too!" Ash following him despite not being asked. Whoever is responsible for it can be tough and with their differences did not want Amelia's father to try go out alone.

"You're not."

"There's no time to argue this! Just take him with you!" Louise scolding Charles Ash's help was appreciated. Her husband can lose control at times and having someone as strong as the boy with him will make her feel more secure. The man of the house took his guest into the car as the large bodyguard drove off with smoking tires.

The ride in the car was tense and awkward. It's the first time Ash was alone with Charles away from any of the ladies. Not a word between them Ash got ready for whatever would exit the tunnel they were racing towards.

"Fools. Works every time."

A woman with yellow eyes and black hair tied in knots moved through the escape tunnel starting from the Valuer estate. Having set off the explosives the confusion worked in her favor to slip out unnoticed. She threw off her 'servant' outfit in the tunnel and revealed a greyish skin tight leotard with a body armor vest over it hanging open at the clasps.

"And now to collect my paycheck." Done what she was hired for in exposing the Valuer family mine issue she got away. Moving away from the tunnel she didn't look back. Staying off the road she heard a car engine roar and she hid in the bushes as it approached. A black car with a license plate she knew sped by.

"Mmm…you must have broken the speed limit to get here this fast."

The car kicking up dust it was unaware of her presence. Grinning she moved away from her escape route leaving no trace she ever was there. Now heading down the road she at one point saw a large white figure heading to them.

"What's that?" On closer look it was someone she did not expect. Coming closer they met on the road as the Pokémon that was being rid on stopped with its rider being shocked as well as the spy.

"It's the heir on her Rapidash!? She should've stayed in that house!"

"Karin!?" A completely different outfit from what she recognized her in Amelia still knew enough of her face. A scowl on the woman's face she reached for her belt thst held her Pokeballs.

"At least you know the staff by name! Meowstic now!"

Throwing it with force out came the white cat like Pokémon. Amelia recognized it as the female variety which is aimed more at attacking than her male counterpart for support.

"Use Energy Ball!" Meowstic's ears folded open as she formed a green ball of energy and fired it at Rapidash with Amelia still on it.

"Rapidash, Psycho Cut!" Trying to stop it with an attack of her own Rapidash tilted its neck and swung a blade of purple energy that just collided with the Energy Ball before it hit them. The force of the blast larger than expected Amelia fell off awkwardly landing on the ground. Her left arm hurting and having a few scrapes she got up again.

"Why are you doing this!? Why betray my father!?"

"I should run. But slapping you around might net me some extra pay."

The woman in body armor said nothing as she attacked again.

"Energy Ball!"

Meowstic unfolded her ears again as it fired another attack. Amelia took her Pokeball and aimed at Rapidash.

"Return!" The red beam touching her before the attack did Amelia saved it for now. The run here carrying cost some energy and Amelia gave it rest. She reached for two Pokeballs but her hand slipped off one before a second attempt to grab it also failed which Karin picked up on.

"Haven't battled much have you? That's what you have your minions for."

Her inexperience in battles showing Amelia was shaking. Not being able to count on Ash and her father's bodyguard she had to stall and hope they'd find her soon as she distracted the apparent mole. Amelia finally threw them both as Espeon and Alcremie came out of their containers. The mole gloated at being set up against two Pokémon already.

"Espeon, Rain Dance! Alcremie, Dazzling Gleam!" Espeon summoned a dark cloud and soon droplets began to fall. Alcremie let out s flash that mixed with the cloud, the raindrops quickly turned into a shower of blue and pink particles that floated down on them.

"Are you that weak you need two just to best one of my Pokémon? You're pathetic, just like your attempts to be Kalos Queen! Iron Tail on both!"

Meowstic's tail shone a metallic hue and leaped with a vaulting motion to Alcremie which got hit hard.

"Espeon, Hyper Voice!" Espeon let out a loud shout pushing Meowstic away from her partner. Meowstic on it's feet Karin attacked again.

"Meowstic, Psychic!" Ears unfolded with the yellow circles in it glowing. The catlike creature took a hold of both Espeon and Alcremie and lifted them up in her grasp.

"Use Psychic too Espeon!" Amelia trying to counter Espeon tried to use her own Psychic to break it. The jewel on her forehead glowing and eyes blue it was of no use as Meowstic kept its mental grip on.

"Why is yours stronger!?"

"You only use that for show. You don't have the power to trap another being. Now use Psychic and knock them both out!"

Karin told Meowstic to slam the heir's Pokémon into a nearby tree. With a wave the two were send flying and Amelia screamed for their well being but just before they crashed into it they floated in the air.

"They stopped!?" Karin wondering frustratingly what happened a male voice ordered an attack name.

"Thunderbolt!"

"Pikachu!" The one casting the attack yelling his name a streak of lightning travelled through the air to Meowstic who was forced to break her hold on Amelia's Pokémon to dodge it. Amelia petrified someone she came to love really much stood between her and the mole much to her joy.

"It's Ash! He recognized it. I knew he would!" The Rain Dance-Dazzling Gleam combination was meant for her figure skating Performance. The full scale version only seen by Ash and she hoped he recognized her flashy signature drawn in the sky. Her wish did come true and despite her predicament he looked like a knight in shining armor.

"Thanks for catching them Gengar!"

From the shadow under the tree Ash's Gengar released the hold of its Psychic to allow Espeon and Alcremie free movement again. The Ghost type popped out of the ground now with its signature grin on its face while the mole has a scowl.

"You! That was dirty!"

Meanwhile Charles and Oliviere came after them. Seeing the situation he yelled at his daughter full of stress at seeing her here.

"Come here Amelia Get behind Olivier!" Unable to refuse a command she hurried behind the large bodyguard. The man of the house glared at his supposed worker not that she cared.

"Karin? We need to talk about your recent 'performance'."

"Doesn't matter. I quit, Iron Tail!" Meowstic's tail glowing it jumped towards Gengar.

"Ice Punch!" Gengar's left fist freezing it punched at Meowstic ice clashing against steel.

"I'll help you Ash! Alcremie, Decorate on Gengar!" Amelia still having her Pokémon out ordered a support move. Alcremie strawberries around Gengar . Filling up with power it easily pushed away Meowstic's Iron Tail and the punch connecting hit Meowstic into the ground.

"He doesn't need my help, but it works." Amelia smiling that Decorate gave Gengar another power boost. Ash probably would have destroyed Karin on his own but a helping hand will only speed up the process.

"Now Gengar, Shadow Ball!" Forming a dark black purplish orb in front of him Gengar fired it with much more force and velocity being boosted by Decorate. It hit Meowstic dead on and the super effective move combined with the already gap in power before Decorate Meowstic fainted and Karin returned it grabbing her next Pokémon.

"Next up is…"

"Pikachu, Electro Web!" Pikachu leaping off his shoulder threw a yellow net from his tail trapping Karin and pushing her into the ground.

"Get off…ARGH…" Touching the Electro Web she got partially zapped. Now trapped in the net the large bodyguard looked down at the woman and cracked his knuckles. The electricity dispersing Olivier used his strength to subdue Karin even more and truly tie her up. The woman was put on Olivier's shoulder and treated like a bag of bricks.

"Olivier, take Karin to the car will you? I have another matter to attend." The bodyguard grunted as he headed back to the car still parked at the exit of the tunnel. Ash meanwhile was close to Amelia checking her arm. A few scrapes she can still move it which shouldn't hinder her practice.

"You're hurt."

"Just a scratch. I had worse with Performance training."

"You sure? If there is anything you need…"

"I'm ok Ash, believe me. I appreciate it but I'm fine."

Loving the attention he gave her Amelia wasn't going to exploit it. She just was happy that they caught the mole and everyone got away with only minor injuries. Maybe now she can finally enjoy the time Ash and her have alone without any duty from her family disturbing them. She wanted tl have a wonderful without the pressure from her family just like on the SS Shimmer with him.

"You were awesome! That that was some great battling you did!" He saw just a little bit of her battling against Karin but was impressed. Amelia relieved it was onky so short with him close by.

"The stress battles cause me isn't healthy. I'll stay with Showcases."

"You sure? With some training I'd think you'd be great at it."

"Aw…he always knows what to say to make me feel better. Or is it the way he says it?"

Her heart again racing Amelia blushed as she maybe only have been in a handful of battles compared to the supposed wars he has been in. She taught him how to dance better so perhaps he can give a few pointers so that in a future battle she looked better. She had to think about the offer later as their happy moment was interrupted by a concerned father that called out to them. An angry look a level down from the glare he gave Karin he was visibly upset.

"What are you doing here? You were supposed to stay at the house."

"I wanted to come with you and Ash. You asked us to catch the mole and that is what we did."

Using his own words against him just like her mother said to do Charles knew Louise was behind this. He went back to the car where Olivier already had stuffed Karin in the trunk. The two youngsters following him he told them off.

"Stay out you two. Amelia will not sit in the car with a criminal." He looked at Ash with a softer look.

"Make sure my daughter gets home safe or else…"

"Not to worry, I'll do a better job than Olivier." Vowing Amelia would not be hurt anymore he did hear the man behind the wheel grunt before the door closed and they drove off leaving them alone in the woods.

"Come on. Father trusts you to get me home safe, I know a tunnel close that should lead us back to the house."

"Why not walk through Fluerrh City?"

"Because local journalists and basically the entire city is on our doorstep demanding to know what happened and I DO NOT want to deal answering questions and explain the events that occurred."

Ash still had to get used to her popularity and that moving in her hometown was not a given compared to his other friends. Still tasked with bringing her home Amelia led him to another hidden tunnel which they'd use to go back to her house and avoid a million questions while resting up so they can focus on their own dreams again.

Long time huh? Just zero motivation at all to write.

Let's hope life doesn't kick me in the balls anymore and snatch my soul away like it does every year in December. I swear my holidays are freaking cursed and at this rate I'm starting to hate them more than the Grinch.

Right, Ash and Amelia caught the mole, so yeah I guess. Might be slow updates but at least I'm back.
