Hey Guys! Crescent Rider here and I am back with the last part of this chapter. And do you guys recall me saying that this part is more of a bonus? Well, it's because I'm also including the aftermath of Spring Mustachio and Goldenball's Fight against Kombu Infinity.
And another thing that I want to mention to you all is something. I'm planning on making a Fairy Tail Fanfic where Nadia is not Fate OC. But as a regular OC Character, So no Servants will be mentioned or appear in that story.
Why I planned this is more of an experiment story where Nadia is just a regular character with a specific power. But regardless, I promise to keep things interesting whenever I work on a chapter.
That's all I have to say and as always, Enjoy the last part of the chapter!
Heroes Association
After Spring Mustachio and Goldenball returned with severe injuries, their report had reached the ears of the executives.
"A monster was found and defeated two Class A Heroes," Executive #1 stated, "But what's truly interesting is that a Class A Hero is residing in City - Z's Ghost Town,"
"You mean Nadia? The rising star among Class A?" Executive #2 pointed out,
"Indeed, their intel suggests that she had been living there before her participation in the Entrance Exam," Sitch said as he held the documents regarding Nadia's participation form, "And these documents prove that fact is true,"
"It's rather reassuring that a Class A hero is residing in City Z's Ghost Town," Executive #1 remarked, "But why hasn't she assisted Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball with the search?"
"Their report stated that she was unable to do so due to certain circumstances," Sitch stated, "Recently, she had single-handedly prevented a bank robbery without civilian casualties. But after she had left the city, no one was able to identify her location. Therefore, we could only assume that she has been handling monsters in the shadows considering how fatigued she was,"
"It's quite remarkable for someone her age to fight against larger monsters," Executive #3 commented, "But besides the bank robbery, the rest are merely assumptions to her deeds, therefore we cannot jump to conclusions just yet,"
"Indeed, but her standing in society had improved, especially when she had saved the granddaughter of one of our major benefactors," Executive #1 said, "Therefore, we should reward her with something equal to her deeds,"
Everyone in the room agreed to his decision before continuing with the report regarding Ghost Town.
City - Z Apartment
After getting some rest from the results of her experimentation, Nadia and her copies were eating breakfast as usual. Though as they eat, they converse with one another.
"So... How's that improvement of yours doing so far?" Amber Eyed Nadia questioned,
"It settled down as of this morning," Nadia answered, "So I'd say that it was a complete success,"
"It's quite surprising that you didn't turn into a full-on giant," Green Eyed Nadia bluntly praised while eating,
"Oh, modifying that part was easy on Genus' end. It's the enhancement that I wanted to improve," Nadia pointed out,
"Though, you almost lost control of the others... Again..." White-Eyed Nadia bitterly reminded, "Even I lost some control,"
"Just give it some time, I'll get used to it," Nadia said, "What's important is that the limit of my mana has improved. In fact, I'm almost certain that I summon and maintain another servant to this world,"
"Really?!" Golden-Eyed Nadia questioned, "Does that means we can make some suggestions again!"
"I wouldn't mind," Nadia said, "But as long as that Servant is someone I can maintain with my current limit. Then feel free to make some suggestions,"
"Yeah! For my suggestion! How about an Archer!" Golden Eyed Nadia enthusiastically suggested,
"An Archer doesn't sound bad too," Green Eyed Nadia added, "But as long as it's someone manageable, then I don't have any complaints whatsoever,"
"I'd prefer a Saber," Amber Eyed Nadia preferred, "Or maybe a Berserker at that,"
"I, on the other hand, don't care either way," White-eyed Nadia said, "You've already summoned an Assassin, So I'm stepping out of this one,"
Nadia soon finishes her meal and picks up her plate. As she makes her way to the sink, she could hear other voices in her head and each of them has made their suggestion on which Servant she should bring out next.
After she sets the plate down, Nadia turns to her copies, "I'll think about who to summon later, Right now. I'm going out to do a morning jog around town,"
The copies then dematerialize within her and then change to a jogging outfit. First, she makes her way down the apartment and then starts stretching as she stood by the sidewalk.
Once she finishes with her stretching, she starts jogging around the neighborhood as no one would notice her since Ghost Town remains unpopulated as of this day.
She would keep jogging for minutes while Assassin monitors the area where she goes.
Half an hour later, Nadia makes her way back to the apartment but stops when she hears someone sobbing in some alleyway. When she goes to investigate, she finds something that she had never seen before.
It was some sort of black-figured monster with the last strand of hair resembling of kombu sobbing in the middle with its knees pressing against the ground.
Nadia's curiosity got the best of her, and slowly approaches the sobbing monster before it took notice of her sudden arrival. The monster didn't do anything but stare at Nadia's eyes.
Waiting for something to happen.
Assassin remained neutral, but should this monster attack her master. The order stands and will be quickly disposed of.
A Few Minutes Later...
Nadia returned to her room and sat down at the table. Just sitting across the other side of the table was the monster she had found and was still sobbing though it had lessened when Nadia brought it into her room.
The mood was quite unsettling, but it lessens when Nadia poured a cup of tea for the monster.
"Thirsty?" Nadia asked,
The monster didn't reply whatsoever, instead, it glances at the cup of tea before taking it and drinking it down. After she sets the cup down, it sniffed once as it was close to finishing with its sobbing.
"Th-Thank you," The monster sobbingly thanked,
"Normally, I don't help monsters. But in your case, It's kinda different," Nadia said as she held her own cup in hand, "So what happened to you?"
The monster sniffed once more and hung her head down. To Nadia's assumption, it must have something to do with the last strand of its hair.
"Did something or someone pull your hair off?" Nadia presumed,
"Y-Yes," The monster timidly answered, "Without the rest of my hair, I can't be the monster of Ghost Town anymore... I can't even be a monster anymore,"
'Monster of Ghost Town? It must have come here because of the rumors of this area,' Nadia concluded, 'But at least it didn't cross paths with a certain someone I know,'
"What happened to your hair in the first place?" Nadia asked,
"Some guy ripped it off after I beat up some heroes..." The monster explained, "Now all that's left is this small strand on my head,"
'Heroes? The only heroes I've met are those two. She must have beaten them when they fought her. But the question is... Who ripped her hair off,' Nadia assumed as the faces of Spring Mustachio and Golden Ball came into mind, "Does it grow back?"
"It would, but when he ripped it off. I don't even know how long it'll take," The monster confessed while hanging her head down,
"I see..." Nadia said then cupped her chin in thought when she recalls a certain someone. An idea came into mind, "Maybe I know someone who might help,"
"Eh?" The monster hummed in confusion,
"He's a doctor and a good one at that. If I take you to him, maybe he's figured something out," Nadia said, "Who knows, he might accelerate the growth rate of your hair, and increase its durability in a matter of minutes,"
"Really?" The monster said with a somewhat bright expression,
"Yes, but there are three conditions that you must agree on before we go there," Nadia said,
"Three conditions? What are those supposed to be," The monster questioned,
"You may have not realized this, but I'm actually a Class A Hero," Nadia said, which causes the monster to tense up, but she eases it down as she continued, "However, I'm not like those other heroes who indiscriminately kill monsters since I prefer to judge the situation before springing into action,"
"Y-You aren't going to kill me?" The monster questioned and Nadia shook her head in response,
"Of course not, The way I see it. You're practically harmless to do anything to anyone," Nadia said, much to the monster's dismay, "But back to the main topic, I have three conditions that you must accept before we go see the doctor,"
"What sort of conditions do you have in mind?" The monster inquired,
"One, After you've regained your hair to its original state. You are no longer allowed to hurt anyone as I will be monitoring your actions. You can fight monsters if they deemed you a threat, but you can't harm anyone else," Nadia stated,
"That's a bit unfair," The monster said,
"Don't worry, I've already thought of a countermeasure to ensure that no one, not even heroes, can harm you," Nadia assured, "As I said, I prefer to keep my deals fair. But that brings us to the second condition since you'll stop being a monster that attacks people, you will be a monster that saves people,"
"Save people?" The monster repeated, "Why that's?"
"People tend to base everything on what they see," Nadia elaborated, "Therefore, if they see you saving people instead of harming them. They'll slowly change their opinions and they might even see you as more of a good monster than an evil one,"
"A Good monster? What kind of joke is that? There's no such thing as a good monster?" The monster said,
"True, but... There's a certain fact that everyone tends to ignore the most common fact out there," Nadia pointed out,
"Which is?" The monster inquired,
And all of a sudden, Nadia instantaneously changed her expression into a stoic expression that caused the monster's back to tingle once, "Even humans can be monsters..."
From her tone alone, The monster could obviously tell that this is her own fact. Thus, it decided not to question her and listened especially when Nadia returned to her original state in a blink of an eye.
"Do you understand?" Nadia asked, and the monster frantically nods in response,
"Good, and finally. The last condition is the most important condition besides the two," Nadia stated,
"Which is..." The monster nervously questioned,
After a brief pause, Nadia claps her hands once and made an innocent-looking smile on her face, "You'll be living with me from now on!"
"..." The monster stayed silent as it registers her final condition,
Once it had finished processing the thought of Nadia's last condition, it lets out a single sound from its mouth, "... Huh?"
"I mean it, living in a room all by myself is quite lonesome, to say the least," Nadia pointed out, "Since we'll be working together after you've grown your hair back, it's best that you and I share this room together. After all, you don't have a place to sleep don't you?"
"I-I don't, but it's a bit much, don't you think?" The monster inquired,
"Of course not, it also serves as a method to know more about each other," Nadia said, "Every monster I've seen and heard has its own backstory. So I want to know as much as possible,"
The monster felt somewhat dumbfounded by this last condition. In all honesty, it had never seen nor heard a hero casually talking to a monster throughout its days. Therefore, this turned out to be new for it.
"So, what is your decision?" Nadia asked,
"Um..." The monster trails off as glances all around the room. but after putting some thought into the idea, there wasn't any other choice as it would die without its hair, "When will we go to the doctor?"
"So you agree?" Nadia said,
"Y-Yes," The monster replied,
"Great! We'll leave immediately!" Nadia declared,
"A-Already?!" The monster exclaimed,
"Of course, we're leaving," Nadia said, "If not, then you're a no go with that condition of yours,"
The monster couldn't argue or raise a question toward her. With the proper clothes, Nadia dresses the monster up as an everyday civilian to ensure no one recognizes her as a monster.
To add a few more clothes to the monster's disguise, Nadia used a beanie to cover the last strand of its hair, sunglasses to cover its eyes, and a facemask to cover its mouth.
Once everything was done, Nadia immediately takes the monster by its hand and drags it out of the room despite its protests.
But as they left the room, Nadia also noticed Saitama and Genos exiting their room and immediately took notice of Nadia leaving her room.
"Oh, Nadia. Are you going out to do some hero work?" Saitama questioned,
"Huh? Oh no, I'm actually going to another City to meet up with a certain someone," Nadia replied,
"I see," Saitama then notices the monster, though mistakes it for a human due to its disguise, "Who is she?"
"Oh, She's a friend that I recently made while I was out. She didn't have a home to go to, so I took her here," Nadia said, then turns her head to the monster, "Right?"
However, the monster couldn't reply to her as it stared at Saitama for a moment. Then pales before yelping as it hid behind Nadia's back.
"H-Hey? What's wrong with you?" Nadia questioned,
"Is she alright?" Saitama questioned,
"I-I-I-It's him..." The monster stuttered,
"What do you mean by that? Have you met him before?" Nadia asked,
"I did! He was the one who pulled all of my hair off!" The monster exclaimed in a loud voice,
"Pulled your hair off? What are you talking about..." Saitama trails off for a moment, then recalls a certain event when some monster tried to attack him,
Nadia got suspicious of this, and turns to him, "What did you do to her?"
"Um..." Saitama trails off as he tries to think of an excuse,
"Pulled her hair off? Are you really that desperate to grow your hair back?" Genos inquired, "Were you trying to make a wig for yourself?"
"Don't say it like that," Saitama sternly said, "And first of all, I don't even know her,"
Nadia frowns but took notice of an empty wooden box sitting just next to his door. Nadia pulls out some sort of wand, and pulls the box towards her, "What's this?"
Nadia picks up something inside the box, and held it up for all to see, "Kombu?"
Upon mentioning this ingredient, the monster turns her head up and widens her eyes in horror, "That's a piece of my hair! What did you do with the rest!?"
"Um..." Saitama still trails off while Nadia stares at him with a dumbfounded look on her face,
"Did you just pull someone's hair off just to cook something that might grow your hair? Cause I once read that Kombu accelerates one's hair growth," Nadia said,
"That's true, though the properties aren't explained. The research proves this fact to be quite true," Genos added,
"Shut up with hair!" Saitama yelled towards Genos, then turns towards the monster hiding behind Nadia, "And more importantly, How are you even sure that this is your hair!?"
The monster immediately stands upstraight, and pulls her beanie, glasses, and face mask to reveal its face to him, "Does this answer your question?!"
Saitama pales as he finally recalls who this monster was while Genos was quite alarmed by this reveal.
"A monster? Why was it in Nadia's room? Are you trying to get back at my Master?" Genos interrogated as he readies himself for combat,
"As if I could squat with this!" The monster yelled while pointing at the last strand of its hair,
"Enough!" Nadia yelled, and rubbed her temples to calm her thoughts, "As much as I want to know more about this situation. I'm afraid I don't have the time, so she and I will be going now. I'll see you later,"
Nadia then puts the disguises back on the monster's face and leaves for City - W. But Genos had recalled something that came into mind, "Nadia, there's something you might want to know,"
"What is it?" Nadia questioned,
"Your Rank has gone up recently, You're now standing Class A Rank 35 Hero," Genos revealed,
Nadia gapes for a bit, but shook her head as she needed to focus on the current matter at hand, "Okay, Well I'll see you later,"
Nadia finally leaves with the monster in tow, and the two just watched them go.
"Why would Nadia bring a monster with her?" Genos questioned,
"Who knows, but it's her decision. Therefore, we don't have the right to argue about it," Saitama said,
"Understood," Genos said, "But if that monster ever bothers you, I shall hand it for you,"
'I prefer you don't...' Saitama said in thought before he and Genos went out as usual,
That's the end of this chapter! What comes next is the Meteor. But I might make something original considering that Nadia found Kombu Infinity and plans to have her as its newest companion.
Oh, and yes. I'll be adding a new Servant to join her. So expect his/her arrival in Chapter 7 or 8. I won't tell you who it is or which class he/she belongs to, so feel free to make any assumptions in mind.
That is all and I will see you all in the next chapter!
