Hey Guys, Crescent Rider here and I am back with another part of the Chapter! Now, as the old readers who may have read the previous version of this story and are now reading this version.
Nadia is a Class A Hero, but it doesn't mean she won't be present in helping the civilians evacuate. Though in my opinion, the scale of that meteor coming down to Earth can be considered a God Level. But that's my opinion...
But back to the topic, Since Nadia will still be present. She will meet Silverfang, but things will be different.
That is all I have to say, and as enjoy the second part of the chapter!
City - Z
Nadia still remains in her apartment and reads a book while her clones run amok. But before long, Assassin enters the room and bends a knee before her.
"Assassin?" Nadia muttered,
"Nadia, we have a report to share with you," Assassin stated,
Assassin then explained the details, and that puts Nadia to a decision as she closes her book and goes to her balcony.
When she looks up to the sky with heighten vision, she spots what appears to be a meteor hurling straight towards Earth.
"Well, we're all about to die," Nadia said while alarming the other clones in the room,
City - Z Heroes Association Headquarters
Nadia decided to go to the headquarters of the Heroes Association located in City - Z and beside him was Genos as he received the report from the higher-ups of the Association.
As they entered the building, they were soon greeted by a voice, "Ah, you would be Genos?"
The two turned to the voice and saw a spiky old man wearing a long black sleeve shirt, and white jogging pants, "My name is Bang. Nice to meet you,"
"Bang. As in Silverfang of Class S's Top Three Hero?" Nadia inquired,
"I am, and I've heard a lot about you as well, Nadia," Bang stated, "I must say, your actions from a recent incident intrigue me. It's not every day a Hero of your Rank and Age would go through the trouble of handling a robbery"
"But is that what we're supposed to do?" Nadia stated, "Help People? Cause the policy of fighting monsters isn't something I'm into... And I ain't here for the money either,"
"If only everyone would think the same," Bang said with a disappointed tone in his voice, "But anyway, what brings you two here?"
"The Association called me in," Genos responded,
"I just tagged along," Nadia added, "After all, we are all going to die anyway,"
"Everyone's at Headquarters," Bang revealed, "This little branch office is empty just now. Each of the Class S Heroes got the call to come here, but we're the only ones who showed up,"
"Why is that?" Genos and Nadia asked simultaneously,
"Too far away, or perhaps they're busy," Bang presumed, "Of course. some of the more cold-blooded ones simply don't bother,"
'Geez, how selfish can some people get?' Nadia muttered in thought,
'Selfish enough to not care at all...' The Strict voice stated,
'Quiet you,' Nadia ordered,
"After all, we're called up only when there's some impossible problem they want us to take care of," Bang stated, "Today's no exception,"
Bang then explained the threat level of the meteor. The estimated time the meteor will strike City - Z will be 35 minutes from now. Thus, the Heroes Association had to call on the assistance of Class S Heroes.
Apparently, the meteor had changed from its usual path and it was hurling itself towards Earth. The impact will wipe out City - Z entirely.
"I'm afraid there's nothing we can do this time," Bang said, "You two should think about evacuating with your loved ones,"
"Do the citizens know?" Genos inquired,
"I was told they would estimate the impact area and issue evacuation orders 30 minutes before it hits," Bang explained, then on cue the emergency signal from the Heroes Association,
Bang chuckles at this, before turning away from the windows, "People are sure to panic,"
"And that wouldn't help at all," Nadia said, and contacted Assassin, 'Assassin, I have a mission for you,'
Moments later, Assassin materializes and the two Class S Heroes took notice of their arrival. However, Bang's interest had increased as he had seen these people in several reports by the Heroes Association.
'It seems there's much more to learn about this one...' Bang muttered,
"What are your orders," Assassin inquired,
"Spread out, and help the civilians evacuate this area," Nadia ordered, "Oh, and tell a certain hero that we're all in danger of dying here,"
"Understood," Assassin replied, splitting into several personas, and proceed with the mission while the two Class S Heroes watched them go.
"Impressive insight, You're more than I expected," Bang complimented,
"Thank you, Bang-san," Nadia said, "But back to the meteor. What are you going to do? Are you going to evacuate as well?"
"I'm afraid I cannot," Bang said while turning his back from the two, and walking a few steps forward, "My dojo has been in my family for generations. I cannot abandon it,"
Bang then demonstrates his moves to them and showed one of his signature stances, "Fist of Flowing Water Crushed Rock. Heard of it?"
Nadia shook her head in response but was impressed nonetheless. As for Genos, Bang had already answered that one on the get-go, "He's gone,"
"Huh?" Nadia turns to where Genos was once standing, and she was soon infuriated by this, "He left me... He just freaking left me..."
Nadia's eyes soon changed to scarlet red and a frown appears,
'Ah... Youth, How I miss it,' Bang commented,
A few minutes later...
With Nadia's magic abilities, she was able to find Genos on one of the rooftops and made her way there while Bang followed behind.
Upon their arrival, Nadia was the first to speak up to them, "Genos! You left without me! Do you have any idea how rude you were!"
"My apologies," Genos apologized as he powers down, before focusing upon the meteor, "I'll try to compensate you after I've settled with this meteor,"
"First off, be calm," Bang advised as he stood next to Nadia, "I see you've lost composure. You are far too young to be worried about failure. When your back's up against the wall, just muddle through. The outcome won't change, So that's what is best,"
'But it will change when Saitama arrives...' Nadia muttered,
After giving it some thought, Genos rips off his shirt and proceeds to open his chest cavity. Then he pulls out his core and opens a compartment in his left arm. Once he shoves his core into his left arm, he powers his arm cannon to its utmost limit.
"Bang, get down!" Genos yelled,
After he readies his last resort, he fires his arm cannon straight toward the meteor. Meanwhile, Bang and Nadia just watched him go.
"Damnit, it's not working!" Genos cursed,
"No! I think I see the meteor being pushed back," Bang noted,
"Really?" Genos questioned,
"Oh, no. It was just my imagination," Bang corrected while Nadia giggled despising the situation,
"You old fool!" Genos yelled,
Before long, Genos' arm cannon slowly diminishes its power and eventually. It runs out as Genos falls to his knees.
"Guess that's it for him," Nadia said, then went behind him, "Hold still,"
Nadia brings her hands towards Genos' arm and used magic to replenish some power to his core to prevent his mechanical body from shutting down.
"Nine more seconds," Genos loudly muttered, "Get out of here, you two,"
Nadia sighs at this since she knows the futilely behind this action. But soon enough, someone in particular finally shows up, "Old man, Nadia. Take care of Genos,"
"What took you so long?" Nadia questioned,
"Had to wear my uniform, of course," Saitama replied,
"Who... Who are you?" Bang questioned,
"I'm a hero," Saitama replied, before bending down on the ground and then jumping straight into the air,
"Sensei!" Genos exclaimed,
A few moments later, Saitama lands a solid hit on the meteor and the resulting impact of his attack stopped the meteor's momentum as well as shattered it to nothing.
"He shattered it! Unbelievable!" Bang exclaimed in utter surprise, "But..."
Moments later, several pieces of the meteor rained down on the air, and Nadia springs into action by unleashing a wave of magic projectiles to destroy some of the meteor's fragments.
However, she would not be able to get them all as one smashed through one corner of the building and causes it to tilt.
"The building's going to fall! We've got to go!" Nadia yelled,
"It's not just this building," Bang said as holds Genos in his arms, and the three make their way to safety, "The destruction is spreading through the whole city,"
Three Days Later...
City - Z had avoided total destruction, but some parts of the city were devastated due to several fragments of the meteor.
When Nadia presented some manner of opportunity with the fragments, she assigned Assassin to collect what fragments she could harvest and save them for something useful.
As for Nadia herself, she was not in City - Z as she had an important matter to attend to.
Specifically, the House of Takoyaki...
Nadia had received a text message detailing Genus' success and went to the location to overlook the results of his experiment.
Upon arrival, Armored Gorilla took notice of her arrival and proceeds to escort her down to the lower levels of the building.
When she arrived, she was greeted by Genus and beside him was none other than Kombu Infinity, whose hair had regrown back to its original lengths.
"How did it go?" Nadia inquired
"The procedure was a complete success," Genus reported, "she wouldn't have to worry about losing her hair in the future as I've mixed a regenerative substance by the roots of her hair"
Nadia nods at this, and turns to Kombu Infinity, "How does it feel?"
"It feels great... In fact, it's lighter than my old hair," Kombu Infinity commented while manipulating her hair as usual, "I can't believe I'm saying this to a hero, but... Thank you,"
"I'm not like other heroes, you know. I just do what I can to help regardless if that person is human or monster," Nadia said, "Of course, I'm not always nice you know,"
"Oh, and I hope you don't mind. I've stored a few hair samples when I was processing the procedure," Genus said, "I hope you don't mind,"
"If it means having my hair back as it used to be. I wouldn't mind," Kombu Infinity said,
"But don't forget our deal," Nadia said,
"I will..." Kombu Infinity said, "And I will try my absolute best to uphold our agreement,"
"By the way, how are things in City - Z? I heard it was devastated by fragments of the meteor," Genus inquired,
"Well, no one died. So that's pretty much it," Nadia said, "But in any case, I'd better get going. Ever since that meteor incident came to an end, I somehow climb the ranks from 35th to 30th,"
"And what of Saitama's rank?" Genus inquired,
"Oh, his promotion is quite a big one. He manages to jump from the 342nd to 5th in Class C," Nadia revealed,
"I'm not surprised," Genus remarked with expectations,
With that, Nadia and Kombu Infinity, wearing her civilian disguise, left the House of Takoyaki and returned to City - Z. But along the way, the two conversed with each other.
"How did it feel?" Nadia questioned, "Being in Genus' Laboratory?"
"It was nice," Kombu Infinity replied, "Though the room I was in may have not been the most comfortable place I've been in. It's still tolerable,"
"Great," Nadia said, "But now for the main question, Why did you turn into a monster?"
"To be honest..." Kombu Infinity trails off for a moment, then gives a proper answer to her, "I... wasn't really human... In fact, I'm not even born in a city,"
"Then where did you come from?" Nadia inquired,
"I'm from the ocean," Kombu Infinity revealed, "I moved out of there when I heard about the rumors City - Z, the rest you already know,"
"I see," Nadia replied, and made their way through the devastation of City - Z.
But in the midst of their walk, the two could hear people shouting in the distance and drew their attention towards it.
"What do you think is going on?" Kombu Infinity questioned,
"I don't know, but I am quite curious about what it's all about," Nadia said, "Can you kneel down for a moment?"
Kombu Infinity did just that with no questions asked and Nadia placed her hand on the mark she inscribed onto the neck. Moments later, Kombu Infinity's long hair had turned to dark green back length hair, and her facial appearance more human.
The two then made their way to the location of the shouting, and soon find out that the people of City - Z were pinning the blame on Saitama for the destruction of City - Z whilst two heroes, Tank Top Tiger, and Tank Top Blackhole, were present. The latter was the one instigating the people against Saitama.
Nadia didn't take this sort of thing lightly, but she refrains from intervening as she wanted to see how this will turn out in Saitama's favor.
Moments later, Tank Top Tiger and Tank Top Blackhole manipulate the situation with the latter accusing Saitama that he'll attack the bystanders and the two heroes proceeded in challenging him head-on.
Nadia pinches the bridge of her nose as she realized that this stunt was meant to increase their popularity. Still, Nadia remained neutral as she watched this unfold.
After the Tanktop Brothers introduced themselves, they charged toward Saitama and it leads to disaster as Saitama knocks Tank Top Tiger with a single yet harmless punch since he doesn't harm humans.
Tanktop Black Hole then lunges in an attempt to avenge his brother, but Saitama catches one of his hands and tightly grasps in between the fingers. Causing him to yelp out in pain, quickly surrender, and admit his faults.
Nadia shook her head at this sight, but what comes next was more surprising than the stunt itself.
"I'm the one who smashed the meteor! If you've got a complaint, Speak up!" Saitama yelled out loud,
A civilian tried to say, but Saitama immediately cuts the man from his sentence, "You can shut up! Why would I give a crap about your problems? Tell it to the meteor, jackass!"
Nadia was stunned as Saitama continued, "Listen up! I don't do this hero thing for admiration! I do it because I want to! So if you wanna blame me, go ahead! You baldies!"
"You're the baldy," A Random Civilian commented,
"What'd you say?!" Saitama angrily yelled,
Nadia then giggles at his short temper to his trigger word, then turns away from him, "Let's go,"
"Eh? You don't want to help him?" Kombu Infinity questioned,
"He can handle it, besides," Nadia senses Genos within the area, and she smiles with her eyes closed, "He isn't alone,"
The two soon left the area and went back to the apartment.
That is it for this part of the chapter, There will also be the third part and it involves the OVA where Silverfang tries to persuade Saitama into going to his dojo.
Also, I have two quick questions, Should I or should I not have Kombu Infinity tag along, and Should I or Should I not change her name? After all, she might appear more than usual.
