Ash, Amelia and her aid Alfonzo were on the plane heading to Amelia's family summer home. The only thing Ash knew is that it was heading towards the Hoenn region. Amelia again fell asleep leaning on him much to his joy but was wary about doing anything inappropriate to wake her up since her aid was now here. He felt a bit envious about her being able to sleep that sound while his previous dream still haunted him but would persevere through the day.
After touching ground they got their bags from the airport, as then Alfonzo drove them along the path as after a few hours they arrived at a quaint location hidden away in the woods. A small mansion with a gated fence carrying the Valuer family crest Ash can smell the sea air. Apparently on the other side was a small private beach where you can entertain yourself.
As Amelia got out of the car she had to ask.
"Well. What do you think?"
"It's amazing. You come here every year?"
"Me and my parents retreat here when things get a bit hectic. Having a place like this to unwind is important if you're always in the public eye."
Purposefully out of Kalos they had some fans in Hoenn but nowhere near the recognition she receive in her home region. As they went inside Ash looked around and while it was still fancy, it lacked most of the art and fancy furniture her estate back home had. Amelia guided Ash towards the guest room. A lot smaller than what he was used from her it still maintained and bigger than his own room.
Amelia had her own personal room of course. Glad to be again somewhat alone with Ash in an environment she can be herself with the weight of an entire city on her shoulders. Unpacking her bags she came across her figure skating outfit she designed herself. Opening it up from her perfect folds she got a smile on her face. Ash hadn't been properly rewarded yet in her mind and since he did not care about financing he deserved something he did want.
"You deserve a reward for catching Karen and I know how eager you are to see it."
After dinner the two youngsters were about to leave the table as Amelia stopped Ash. Asking for a few minutes from him he nodded yes as she headed to her room to get his 'reward'. Ash patiently waiting Amelia came back after ten minutes in which the wait to him was worth cause he was blown away.
Amelia was wearing her figure skating outfit she designed herself. The dark purple fabric stood perfect on her and the small diamonds on the stomach and chest formed a silver heart with additional stones on the hem of her dress. Light salmon colored stockings showed her legs off well. Small white gloves with a pink ribbon on her wrists, she wore white shoes which later will be replaced by white skates and she did her hair up in a ponytail at his suggestion completing her look.
"What do you think?"
Twirling in place with a pretty smile, her hair flowing with her Ash began to see a light pinkish background behind her speechless about her appearance. He'd seen a lot of amazing and gorgeous things in the world but Amelia shot to the top of the list of non Pokémon related sights. Seeing her glow in her dress it seemed unreasonable she'd lose the next Showcase.
"Amelia is determined, Amelia is talented, Amelia is a great dancer, Amelia is amazing, Amelia is beautiful…"
Any minor negative thoughts he may have had about her pushed back into a hidden corner of his mind. Again falling into this weird state of fondness for her none of his other friends started. Ash tried to come up with a word but only one came up that was a little complicated usually.
"Unbelievable."
Ash thinking he thought it but it was just hard enough for Amelia to hear it. Her face beet red it was not a match for the rest of her outfit. Clasping her hands and bringing them over her rapidly increasing heartbeat it went out of control as her breath became shallow. The confidence in herself growing she asked him for an activity they enjoyed after dinner.
"You…want to dance? Practice I mean…I can use it to stretch out the skirt. It needs to loosen a bit for my Performance so I can move how I want to."
Even after the dance party and Ash getting a handle on the basics so he doesn't embarrass himself they still felt compelled to dance together. He got off the table and took his spot against Amelia holding her hand and waist just as she taught him. It becoming natural to him the ponytail she carried exposed her face more. The smile a mile wide he was staring at it. So adapt at waltzing with his eyes closed as long as it came to her he will just punish himself if he shut them.
The two did their dancing in peace with Alfonzo and Pikachu watching. The aid thinking to himself that as it was certain she fancied her guest. Happy that the heir seemingly found a partner he still regretted having to tell Amelia's father about her escapades. Pikachu meanwhile just looked at how happy Ash seemed. This girl had a certain effect on his best friend and he wondered what it could be. Much more open with Amelia than any other girl they were becoming pretty good friends at the rate they're going, but the mouse smelled something in the air as Ash perhaps choosing the Performer as his potential mate.
Scooching over closer Amelia pressed herself softly against him. Ash wrapped his arms around Amelia trapping her feeling g the fabric again he bought for her. Neither aware of their actions as enjoyment overruled common sense in their own little world.
The tension noticeable they began staring into each others eyes. A non announced staring contest neither dared to blink. Ash looking into her blue eyes felt as if he drowned in them. Bringing himself closer to her he opened his arms and leaned into her without her noticing. Amelia looking into his brown orbs they were a much darker color than hers yet it was brimming with life and passion.
Finishing their waltz they both smiled with a hint of a small blush on both their faces.
"You're going to win that Showcase for sure with that!"
Normally words of encouragement for his friends he stated as if it was fact. Convinced that once Amelia got her routine with his help down that Princess Key had her name written on it already. Amelia herself shot a compliment his way which her aid knew was scarce.
"Have you been practicing behind my back? You were great."
"It's because you're a great teacher who makes it look easy."
"You aren't that good without some talent."
"You ready to finish your act tomorrow?"
"Certainly. I know a pond close to the house where we can freeze the lake and get the final down. I personally can't wait."
"Me neither. It spoil me but I want to make sure you win. You can do it without me but…you know…"
He bashfully looked hoping she didn't interpret it wrong. A gentle but beautiful smile it seemed she didn't. Having made their plans of completing her dance without any debate the two planned to go to bed after they finished Ash's dance practice which to Alfonzo was turned into a hug session.
"Then I suggest you both go to bed early. Once miss Amelia compliments her routine I'll be ready with refreshments here. That does mean you have to let go off each other now."
They didn't realize they were still holding hands. Blushing lightly unaware they thought about it the same time.
"Do I have to let go?"
Amelia changing out of her dress and into her nightgown went to her room. Sitting on the bed with her sketchbook of idea's filled with Performances and dresses whenever a flicker of inspiration came up she was drawing something unrelated. Pencil in right hand she scribbled a small outline of herself and Ash. Being something a silly child with an elementary school crush would do she just couldn't help herself.
"Why couldn't he have been born in Fluerrh City?"
Throwing her head back regretting fate Ash wasn't born in her hometown. She would've met him a lot sooner as her family knew everyone back home to a certain degree. Him and her being talented trainers from the same city they'd make an amazing power couple in her head, both adapt in Pokémon battles and Showcases ruling together.
There still was opportunity to keep him there if he truly looked at her the way she wished. Making more plans to scout out his feelings for her. She did not want to overstep his boundaries with a smooch on the lips that would make it clear but chased him away. This little hideaway of her family at the beach close by the perfect scene for some more bonding and to see which of her Pokémon matches well with Ash's. All in the old saying "Pokémon take after their trainers".
Amelia giggling at how his reaction would be of her in a new swimsuit. Nothing too flashy but enough to draw the same reaction he had to her figure skating outfit he loved so much. With enough plans in her head she closed her notebook, put it aside and then fell into her beauty sleep.
Amelia was sitting in a court room of sorts with people in armor around her. Them being knights it looked like a regal mansion with her dressed in a purple and pink wide draping dress that floated just above the ground. Feeling right at home she had a feeling it wasn't where she belonged. Her father and mother sat on a round table on both sides with her at the head watching a large wooden door that was being moved by two servants in green and yellow medieval garb.
"Where is this?"
"My liege. We have send our messengers as far as their wings can take them. There's none left to slay the warrior!"
"Slay?"
"As predicted. My Champion remains unbeatable. It seems none is worthy of my daughters hand."
Amelia realizing she dreamed about the arranged marriage her father tries to set up but only in a different timeline. Her mother shaking her head at her husbands antics it was as close to real as it got for the heir. Olivier towering above all in his black armor with a giant mace in his right hand and shield with the logo of her family was even more imposing in her dream than real life.
"Is this one of these scenes where a knight has to beat to win the maidens hand? Am I the maiden?"
The wooden doors burst open with a loud bolt of electricity. Wood splinters embedded themselves into the carpet as Charles stood up in anger.
"Who is responsible for this intrusion! I'll have his head!"
The lack of armor on his person the smaller young man seemed an experienced traveler. Dirt on his brown boots he wore a blue fedora with a yellow line and the same blue vest with yellow circle markings. His black hair spiky a Pikachu sat on his shoulders and a Lucario to his side.
"My name is Ash Ketchum! And I desire a fight to prove my worth of your daughters hand! I have travelled through many area's, fought in countless wars and now am here to settle down with a fair maiden worthy of my skills in preserving her beauty! I've come to challenge thy Champion and earn my place as your spouse's guardian!"
If she wasn't sitting down Amelia would've swooned and fainted on the spot. Her imagination running wild about the noble knight Ash conquering the black knight her father employed she loved to see him emerge victorious and claim her hand in front of an arena full of subjects in her town, city, wherever the estate was placed in this setting.
"Mmm…my hero…hurry up and win so we can be together!"
Before she knew she was in a large arena in a special box overseeing the stadium. Together with her father that delivered a speech in the lines of 'his brave fool thinks he is worthy of my daughter' Ash stood across the field in his travelers outfit as her fathers knight rode in on his flaming Rapidash.
As her fathers knight ran to Ash and his Pokémon…"
While the fight was going on it stopped as she was pulled out of dreamland. Recognizing the more modern setting she began clutching one of her fluffy pillows, Amelia screamed into it for morning already arriving hoping the two men nor the Pokémon heard her. Such a good dream ruined by the break of dawn Amelia did feel ready for a brand new day and to get her proud knight in shining armor.
"Time to make that dream reality."
They have it, bad. If this were M-rated they'd rip each others clothes off by now.
Still have to address the large elephant but I'll get to it.
Later
