Chapter 6: Journal Entry 1.
As the title states, Dipper is going to be writing about the facts about what Hell is like and how and why they take on different forms of demons.
I saw the first episode of Helluva Boss and man was it funny as hell! And you've got to admit that the whole story behind the client's reasons to kill those who wronged her are understandable. Either way, it gives me some ideas of what to do for my future chapters.
Oh. I forgot to mention this in the last chapter, but I had made a playlist to this story on Spotify. Plus I added another playlist on YouTube too, because Spotify doesn't have some of the songs and music I was looking for, also its easy for everyone.
It's been two days since the curse wax figures incident, and everything is going back to normal. Well, normal as it can be in Gravity Falls.
Stan was giving tourist a tour in the Shack while Charlie was helping Dipper with how to run the front desk and planning event schedules, and Mabel is working as a bellhop. But so far there hasn't been a single customer, well human customer, that wants to check in.
So in the meantime, the demons thought it was best to let the kids know a thing or two about their world of hell and maybe a little bit about their demonic forms. While teaching them how to work in a hotel. "Okay, I think I have this figured out. Angel's room is on the second floor, Baxter has the third floor in the rear side of the hotel, Alastor is also on the third floor just over Angel's room only a room over to the right."
Despite only living about almost a week and a half, neither of the pines had much of a chance to explore more of the hotel or remember where everyone's rooms are in the hotel. Dipper took the time to calculate the rooms that are available and the ones that are occupied.
"So far the only rooms that are available are on the first all the way to the fifteenth floor." Says Dipper as he finished calculating the layouts of the hotel rooms.
CRASH!
Everyone turns to see Mabel on the floor with the luggage cart on top of her, "That was fun!" she cheers as Vaggie helps to get the cart off of her, "Mabel these are not for riding on." Said Vaggie sternly, "It is when you're on them with your suitcases." Says Mabel as she gets back on the cart and starts riding it all over the lobby and into the elevator. Vaggie sighed in frustration, "Does she ever take things seriously or listen to a word I say?" she asked Dipper, who shook his head, "Sadly she doesn't. I've tried everything, even our own parents don't even try their best to keep Mabel well behave. Sure they scold her a little and send her to our room, but it wasn't enough to stop her." Dipper explains.
Vaggie grown as she went off to find Mabel before she breaks anything. Charlie went around the desk and said, "I'm going help Vaggie with your sister, so in the meantime you can sit around here and keep an eye around the place." She turns to Alastor, "Al, do you mind if you could manage the front desk for me?" "I be delighted to, my dear." The radio demon replied.
Getting off from the front desk, Dipper went to one of the chairs in the lobby. Taking a seat, he pulls out the Journal and starts filling some entries in the pages of the book.
The Hazbin Hotel
During the day I found this Journal, a weird storm came and went. It was so bizarre? When me and Mabel got back to the Shack, there was a huge hotel just a couple of feet away. Where did it come from? And how did it happen? Was it the storm? Mabel wanting to see what's inside, she ran ahead and when we entered the place look so amazing and creepy at the same time. But the most creepiest thing was that we were not alone in the hotel.
Charlette "Charlie" Magne
Charlie is the daughter of Lilith and Lucifer rulers of Hell. Meaning she's a princess and was born in hell. She told me that she's 200+ years old(which I think that she was born in 1830!) and is the Founder of The Happy Hotel. Despite what most of Hell thinks, she believes that redemption is possible for any and all demons and hopes that it will help with the betterment of the kingdom.
The building is repurposed, previously belonging to Charlie's family, who abandoned it long ago. Now Charlie is using it as a hotel to help redeem demons and send them to Heaven via rehabilitation, thereby curbing their ongoing overpopulation problem.
Charlie likes Redemption, The betterment of Hell, Music, Positivity, Stories with happy endings and strong characters, Frappuccino's, Singing, and Musicals.
What she doesn't like is, Vices, Losing her people to the yearly extermination, People ridiculing the Happy Hotel, People doubting the idea of redemption, and Negativity.
She's never seen a human before. However, she thinks there's something magical in both humans and demons.(I'm not so sure how to tell her the truth about humans and magic.) The name Charlie Magne seems to be a pun on Charlemagne, the first emperor of Europe. When used as a surname in French Magne (short for Magnus) translates to "Great" or "the Great" meaning the Magne family would be "Charlie the Great", "Lucifer the Great" and "Lilith the Great".
Additionally, her Instagram account's username " hotel_magnement" is a pun of the word "hotel management" combined with her last name, Magne.
Charlie's favorite musicals would be Something Rotten, Legally Blonde, Cats, Funny Girl, and Chicago.(She would definitely get along well with Mabel.)
Charlie's favorite book is Harry Potter. (We can have a book club movie marathon about Harry Potter) She would like books that have happy endings and strong characters. She also said that she would love teen adventure books like Percy Jackson, Harry Potter, and Hunger Games. I'm surprised that she likes reading very basic in her young adult novel.
Charlie's attitude towards a lot of the patients at the hotel is to kind of treat them like children. She can use them as wayward teens that need help and need writing and discipline. She has a little bit of an immature view of it, so her punishments are more akin to "you need a timeout", instead of a more serious "you need therapy". For instance, Charlie would punish Angel like a child. (Charlie is a bubbly joy lady with a mother and child kindness.)
· Natural Abilities
Demon Transformation: Charlie possesses this trait shared among all Demons. She can easily transform into her Full Demon form and back to her Default form with little to no effort.
Flight: Both Charlie and her father have the ability to summon their wings and are capable of flight.(Wonder if she'll give us a flight?)
· Skillset
Multilingualism: Charlie speaks fluent English and is said to be able to speak the Demonic languages she grew up learning just as fluently as well.
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Charlie did say that the interview on the news ended badly when she engage in a battle of fisticuffs with the news lady Katie Killjoy.
Musical Talent: Similar to her father, Charlie excels at singing and can even do so in different speeds and tones.
Dancing: In addition to her musical abilities, Charlie is also a skillful dancer and a fast-learner.(She even picked up Alastor's dance steps when he, Niffty and Husk joined the hotel)
· Unique Abilities
Pyrokinesis: Charlie is able to summon fire in any form at her own will.
Vaggie
Vagatha, more commonly known as Vaggie,(Charlie told me) is Charlie's best friend and girlfriend. She is the manager of the Happy Hotel. Vaggie is shown to be the most sensible and prudent out of everyone, as she constantly tries keeping Charlie and the hotel out of as much trouble as possible. Vaggie told me that she is a Moth Demon, but I don't see anything, besides gray and white colors, that resembles as a moth.(Maybe it takes time to grow wings?)
She likes music mostly, Punk Rock Music, 80's Music, and Latino Music.
Being short of patience, her cautious and protective demeanor quickly shifts to an explosive temper as shown from her interactions with Angel Dust and Alastor (the former always putting the credibility of the Happy Hotel in jeopardy and Alastor's malicious tendencies(not so sure about that last part)). As per her short temper, she's quick to resort to violence whenever she gets too agitated, or someone else is making life hard for Charlie. (According to Angel Dust, Vaggie has a distrust towards men.)
Vaggie's real name "Vagatha" may be taken from the name "Agatha" which means "good woman" in Greek.
Vaggie and Charlie are a couple.(Note to self: Keep Mabel way from matchmaking them with other people. Because I see here looking at them with mischievous ideas of pairing Charlie with Alastor and Vaggie with Angel Dust. Or Vice Versa.)
She is Salvadorian and can speak Spanish.
Vaggie is in charge of the Hotel's Instagram account( hotel_magnement).
Vaggie's bow often reacts similarly to her emotions (it flares up when she does, it stays normal when she's calm, it droops when she is upset).
· Natural Abilities
Demon Transformation: Vaggie possesses this trait that is shared amongst all the other Demons. Although she has yet to be seen in her Full Demon form, it is hinted that her hair bow becomes horns, as the edges grow sharper and longer whenever she reveals her temper.
· Skillset
Hand-to-Hand Combat: Vaggie has shown to demonstrate above average strength when it comes to hand-to-hand combat as she was able to swiftly punch a cameran off his chair in one hit.
Weapon Proficiency: Vaggie has demonstrated her efficiency when it comes to handling weapons. This was first shown in the pilot wherein she brings around a harpoon for self-defense.
Bilingualism: Vaggie can fluently speak Spanish due to her being Salvadorian, as well as English.
Wide Intellect: Vaggie is shown to be knowledgeable regarding Hell and how its systems work despite only being sent there quite recently. She has shown to know about the Overlords, how they make their way to the top, as well as how Alastor became the first mortal soul to overpower a pre-existing Overlord.
· Weaponry
Vaggie's Harpoon: Vaggie's harpoon is the first weapon that she is shown to possess. She brings it around with her throughout the hotel scenes in the pilot.
Angel Dust
Angel Dust is a spider demon from hell, he died in 1947, (I don't know what or how he died, but I think it have something to do with his name) In life he was a mobster and his real name was Anthony and he has a middle name that starts with an "M" I wont say wat it is because I respect his wishes and I don't want to loose his trust with me.(I just that we both have a letter "A" name and a letter "M" name only in reverse. How cool is that!?) I've seen Angel flirting with Husk and Alastor, and I asked him why he flirted with them, he told me he is gay. Form what he I know and from what he had told me, people around back then or even farther weren't so kind to anyone who were gay and were listed as people with mental illness.(I'm afraid to ask if Angel was taken away or fought really hard to keep his sexuality hidden.)
Angel said that he's been in there for over 73 years. (In their world) He said that Hell is a pretty fun place, but his life in hell wasn't all that kind to him as time moves on. He's tired of the drugs and "adult fun in bed" he quoted, and his job isn't all that fun as he thought it would be, despite being a star. And his boss isn't one to mess with. He didn't tell me anything else about his time in hell, hopefully he will when he feels ready.
On a different note. His family is Italian which is pretty amazing. He can cook really good! I had one of his pizzas and they are the best pizzas I had ever tasted! He mention that he learned cooking from his mother, he went quiet when he talked a bit about his mother. My guess is that his mother must have died when he was young. He has a fraternal twin sister (like me and Mabel) and an older brother. And his father, well he doesn't like to talk about him, the only thing he can say is that he's tough man and isn't please when something is out of line.
From what Angel knows about the demon form he takes on, is that his family are spider demons because of their "web" of organized crime. Makes sense since because killing and illegal deals are sins of crimes committed. Also I found out that Angel can play both the trumpet and accordion.(I'll have to tell him that I play the Sousaphone)
He likes, Drugs,(Even though those are bad) Anything sexual,(Ew. Pretending I didn't write that) Pranks, Action, Aquariums, Cooking, Flirting with others, The color pink, Money,(I can think of him and Grunkle Stan getting along) Drinking, Italian Food, and Animals.
Angel didn't tell me what he doesn't like, but I can guess that he doesn't change his choice of shoes. What is he hiding? He did admit that he doesn't like storms and despite being a spider he can sense when a storm is coming from a mile away.(Cool.)
· Natural Abilities
Demon Transformation: Like every other Demon, Angel possesses the ability to turn into his Full Demon form at his own will.
· Skillset
Bilingualism: Angel is fluent in both Italian and English.
Weapon Proficiency: Angel can handle weapons with ease, specifically firearms and explosives. His knowledge regarding weapons was taught to him by Cherri Bomb.
Sensitivity: Angel can sense incoming storms from a mile away.
Flexibility: Angel's body is proven to be quite flexible as he was able to remove the chains that were restraining him with ease.
Athleticism: Since Angel is based on the jumping spider, he is able to jump incredible heights!
· Unique Abilities
Retractable Arms: Angel has a third set of arms that he keeps hidden and only uses them as his last resort.
Venomous Bite: Angel's bite can poison his victim, making them fall ill. (He bit a gnome and said that their blood tastes like Strawberries)
· Weaponry
Firearms: Angel has a vast collection of firearms that he uses throughout his battles. He has a Thompson gun and can handle six other guns in each of his six hands.
"Dipper! It's time to shift!" Charlie called out. Snapping out of his focus, Dipper pauses his entry and puts the Journal away and stars to head back to work.
And that's the end of the first of the journal entries and the second out of episode storylines. Don't worry, I'll be adding Niffty, Husk and Alastor in the next Journal Entry same with Baxter. And I have to ask because it just popped into my head, does anyone wants to see the sinners doing a stand up performance at Gideon's ten of telepathy? Or have them do their own at their hotel?
