Chapter Two
Many of the fans had been sitting in the front of the Barnes and Noble bookstore with two brown tables having been set up for the author and one employee of the store to be helping out. Castle had been listening to the manager Margaret on the different aspects of the chat he was going to be having with his readers.
"Just be sure Castle to be charming your fans with the latest Nikki Heat novel "Crimson"." she alluded to have said to the mystery writer.
"Always, Margaret! Black Pawn Publishing had advised me as well before coming here today with the start of the tour for the next two weeks. "Is there anything else I should know about?" he says calmly with his nerves on edge.
And in the meantime, the killer of the body found in the Ice Rink locker room was standing first before he was able to find a seat after writing down the information on his next victim to be happening soon.
He was able to be sitting next to a blacked hair male in his forties with a copy of "Crimson" in his hand having purchased it Online in the Black Pawn Publishing ordering section. Smelling the cologne that the male was wearing was driving him crazy for the moment. When he was in Sing Sing prison years ago after serving 15 years for the murder of a police officer in Danbury, Ct. He was living with a prisoner named John that had the same type of Wildwood cologne.
It was at this particular moment when Margaret came out from the back to introduce the writer Richard Castle with 20 questions to be asked by his fans and right now the first one will be a blonde woman named Maggie Walls age 32 a writer for the New York Post.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, I would like to introduce the top ten mystery writers besides Patterson. I like to say that Richard Castle is here to promote his latest book for the Nikki Heat series "Crimson", his name is Richard Castle."
There was thunder applause when the writer came out from the back with a copy of Crimson in his hand to be sitting down at one of the two tables with three chapters to be read to his fans. But first, he had a list of those names to be asking him the questions.
"Okay, I am here and I like to have the first question by Maggie Walls stand up to ask me the question." he cried out to say with a slight cough as his nervousness was showing.
She will stand up exhaling first with her lungs expanded. "Mr. Castle are you planning on writing any other Nikki Heat series of novels?" she will stay standing until he was finished answering the question.
Thinking about it for a brief moment. Castle will say the following to her. "Yes, I plan to Maggie in the coming months. However there is some good news that a local film producer for the New York studio will be starting up preproduction on the novel with choosing the main actresses and actors to be playing the roles mentioned in the novel. A contract needs to be signed as I don't wish to take the chance that the story will be misused by the studio," he said calmly with Maggie to be sitting down in her seat as she had the employee to be handing her a copy of the book.
"Thanks," she said to the young man handing her the novel.
Next was Lewis Marts a part-time college student that loves to write himself and is trying to make it into the business of writing SCI-FI for the most part.
Castle looked at the next name on the list as the killer listened and watched the entire scene with his next victim reading a chapter from another Nikki Heat novel from way back.
"Lewis Marts please stand with your question." Castle posed with his comment to the next in line as Lewis stands up, to begin with, his question. " Richard Castle are you still with the 12th precinct as a consultant?" he stayed in place waiting for the writer to answer his question.
"I am even though the detectives working for the murder division had called me earlier seeking help on a case of a murder at the Manhattan Ice Rink. I am hoping to find out later on what exactly is going on with the case Lewis." he pointed out with the information given.
"And what about your wife Captain Kate Beckett?" Lewis responded by hoping that Castle will answer the question.
"She is currently on six-month maternity leave. I have no idea at this point whether or not she will be coming back as the Captain. Meanwhile, Inspector Victor Gates and two others will be working the position until she is able to make a proper decision on the state of her job as captain." Castle tells him with another deep breath with Lewis to be sitting down.

AUTOPSY BAY Manhattan
Doctor Perlmutter and his assistant Jake Dobs age 45 years old had been working with the Coroner's office for the past six months.
Perlmutter had been finishing up the autopsy on the body found in the ice rink to be Richard Miller a lawyer of all things to be shot and killed by a handgun they were able to tell. Richard Miller had been dead some six hours at the time his body was found. His sister Anna had come down earlier to confirm the death of her brother and the permission for the autopsy on her brother wishing to be cremated when it was finished.
She had been working on a special case as well as a lawyer for the Bronx involving the Gambino family. She and the firm had been trying to get the proper evidence against one of the Gambino members for years.
Doctor Perlmutter had found that her brother died on the first shot to the head. Though he had finished, he needed to write up his report to the office, 12th precinct, Mayor, and most of all the firm for which Richard Miller had been killed.
