Roof of Association Headquarters
Nadia and a few other Class S Heroes were now on top of the building and above their heads was a large spaceship of some sort.
But below them was the destruction that these invaders have caused. The very sight of its tires her so much that it reminded her of a certain memory.
The flames caused by the destruction, the deaths caused by certain people, and her being in the middle of them.
Due to this, Nadia's mind had been fixated to the point that she ignored the conversation from Child Emperor's analysis regarding the spaceship as well as Blackluster Superalloy asking for King's advice.
During a heated argument with Tatsumaki, that's when Child Emperor noticed the look on her face.
"Nadia-san?" Child Emperor called out, enough to snap her out from her fixation, "Is something wrong?"
"Huh? oh, it's nothing," Nadia said, then gazes up to the spaceship, "Do you think we could get up to that ship there?"
"That wouldn't be possible," Child Emperor explained, "The ship is heavily armed, and its armaments can shoot down any and all kinds of aircraft,"
"So it isn't a priority, then?" Nadia inquired,
"In a way, yes," Child Emperor stated,
"In that case, the priority now is to search for survivors," Nadia said, "Even with this kind of destruction, there has to be survivors beneath all this,"
"What are you suggesting?" Child Emperor questioned,
"Assassin," Nadia called out, and Assassin materializes beside her,
Child Emperor, Tatsumaki, Blackluster Superalloy, and King soon noticed her sudden arrival and Genos remained somewhat cautious around this person.
Assassin bends a knee to Nadia, and bows her head down, "What are your orders?"
"Spread out and search for survivors," Nadia ordered, "If they are able, escort them back to this building. If not, stay with them as to ensure their safety and condition. Am I understood,"
"Yes," Assassin responded, then they materialized into separate personas,
Soon afterward, Assassin scattered and Nadia watched them go to work.
"Huh, you're not as bad as I thought," Tatsumaki remarked,
"I'll take that as a compliment," Nadia said, then turns to Child Emperor, "Is there anything else on the ground?"
"Eh? Let me see," Child Emperor said and worked on his computer, "It appears that there's some sort of monster on the ground. It probably came from that alien spaceship,"
"Then I'd better go down there and investigate," Nadia declared, and materializes her sword on her waist,
"You're going down there?" Genos questioned,
"It's better to do something than nothing at all," Nadia said, and jumps down from the roof,
Tatsumaki stared for a while, then made a small smirk on her face...
Somewhere in City - A
As a battle beneath an alien and Class S Heroes, Nadia soon arrives at the scene and notices Iaian meters from the battle. She also noticed Iaian bleeding from his missing arm.
"Hey, that looks bad, don't you think?" Nadia inquired,
Iaian turns to her, and recognizes her, "You're..."
"Here, let me help you with that," Nadia insisted as she bends down next to him, and stretches her hands towards Iaian's injury,
With a simple spell, she had managed to seal the injury before he could lose any more blood from it.
"I'm amazed you've managed to stay conscious for this long," Nadia remarked, "But, you're no good in a fight. Not until you've recovered your strength,"
Nadia then turns to the alien, "Is that one of the invaders?"
"Yes," Iaian said, "And sadly, Physical attacks don't work on that thing. Regardless of how many times they've punched, battered, and sliced through its body. It keeps on regenerating,"
Nadia hums for a moment, then focuses her mana onto her eyes to temporality see through this invader.
As she focuses, she notices something small wandering around its massive body and they were at least four of them within this alien.
'Are those...' Nadia muttered, then comes up with the plan, "Archer,"
Archer then materializes next to her, "Yes?"
"There's a specific part that I want you to attack," Nadia stated, "Think you could do it?"
" I don't see why not," Archer said, "But you'll give something after this, right?"
"As long as it isn't expensive, then yes, I'll see what I can do," Nadia replied,
"Okay, just let me know when to begin," Archer said, then Nadia focuses on the alien's body,
After minutes of it fighting Class - S Heroes, Nadia soon spots something from the far corner of the alien's right arm and that's where she strikes.
"There!" Nadia pointed towards the arm,
Then Archer unleashes his chains with enough force to separate the alien's arm from its body. Before the alien could get the chance to regain this arm, Nadia changes her eyes to golden and dashes right through the alien's arm.
As soon as she stops herself, the alien and the other heroes momentarily turn toward her. When Nadia straightens herself up, she opens her fist and holds some sort of marble in the palm of her hand.
"What's this?" Nadia muttered,
The alien gasped as soon as it spotted the marble, then responds with fury as it stretches some parts of its body towards her, "Give that back!"
Before they reached her, Atomic Samurai intervenes and diced through the alien's attacks in seconds.
With this reaction, Nadia figures out the weakness of this alien, "I see now,"
Nadia then tosses the marble up in the air, then cuts it in two with a quick draw of her sword. The result of the marble's destruction cost the alien a pair of eyes and lets out a dying groan as it disappears from the alien's face.
"Looks like we found out what its weakness is," Nadia said,
"What do you mean?" Atomic Samurai inquired,
"This alien has some sort of marble roaming around its body," Nadia explained, loud enough for the other Class S Heroes to hear, "Without those marbles, this alien is as good as dead,"
"Oh..." Bang hummed in astonishment,
"Good work," Atomic Samurai praised, then fastly holds onto his sword, "In that case, all I have to do is to keep slicing until I hit a marble,"
"Do you mind if I help?" Nadia asked,
"Do you have to ask?" Atomic Samurai said, and Nadia smirked before holding her sword in hand.
With that, everyone presses the attack with knowledge of the alien's weakness. The alien retaliates as much as it can, especially after he had dealt with the head he was fighting.
The combined attacks of the heroes were proven too much to handle as the alien actually struggled to keep the remaining marbles from breaking.
But that wasn't the only problem for the alien...
As it sent another barrage of tendrils from its body, most of these attacks were handled by Class S Heroes on the scene while the rest attempted to reach Nadia.
However, she was prepared for this as she superheated the blade and cuts the tendrils to pieces. To ensure that those tendrils don't regenerate. The heated blade ignites the pieces and was reduced to ashes.
Sometime later, another marble was found and Puri Puri Prisoner took the luxury of destroying said marble with his teeth.
All that remained now were two heads of the alien.
"Two heads to go!" Metal Bat remarked, "I'm going to split them wide open!"
Then the alien started muttering towards the ship, which caught Nadia's attention. A few moments later, the bottom of the ship glows in purple light, and what came down upon them were large shells of the ship's artillery batteries.
"It's over!" The alien head declared,
"Evasion Impossible. Instant Death," The other head added,
However, the shells never reached the ground as they stopped dead in their tracks with a green glow around them.
"Then how about interference?" Nadia loudly questioned, as she recognized the glow of the shells,
The one who stopped these shells was none other than Tatsumak herself, and her usual demeanor of berating heroes was acting up again. Soon afterward, Tatsumaki sends the shells back at the ship and it resulted in severe damage as the shells explode beneath the spacecraft.
"Guess that's the end of that problem," Nadia stated, then everyone focuses back on the alien, "Now it's time we go back to you,"
"Impossible!" The alien exclaimed, "How could these inferior scum stop our unstoppable attack?!"
"Humanity has more to offer than you think, Space Stranger," Nadia said, "In faults, we adapt. In destruction, we endure. You can bring as many heads and shells as you want. We, humans, are far better than you all think!"
"Don't underestimate us!" The alien yelled and unleashes a barrage of tendrils at its enemies.
Metal Bat jump into the air, evading each and every one of the alien's tendrils, then follows up with an attack.
Puri Puri Prisoner then jumps in, catches the alien's tendrils, and holds them in place.
"Nice Catch," Bang praised then uses his martial arts to strike through the alien's second head,
As a result, Bang had managed to catch another marble from the alien's body, "Found it, Smush,"
The alien's second head lets out a dying groan and melts away from the alien's body.
"One left!" Bang said as he lands on a pillar,
Then, an unexpected turn of events came when the alien focused its attention on Bang.
Nadia took notice, but was too late when the alien throws a direct hit toward the old Martial Artist and knocks him through several debris, "Bang!"
"Silverfang!" Atomic Samurai followed,
"A-A direct hit," Iaian muttered in shock,
With that, Bang has been put out of commission while Nadia gaped at the sight of the Old Martial Artist.
As the alien mocked the humans for having weak bodies, Nadia only stared at Bang as the very sight brought about certain memories that she had hidden within her very mind...
Then...
...
...
...
Her grief turned to fury...
Before the alien or the remaining Class S Heroes could engage in another bout. They all stopped for a moment as an eerie presence suddenly emerged in the area.
The alien looks up while the Class S Heroes has shivers down their spines. And many of them have certain thoughts of this presence...
'What's with this aura...? It's so intense...' Atomic Samurai remarked, 'It's almost as if...'
...
...
...
'Death has come to collect...' Atomic Samurai finished while his hands slightly trembled from the handle,
but he wasn't the only one.
"What's with this feeling?! Is the alien doing something to us?" Metal Bat inquired as hands trembled as well,
"I may have faced a lot of monsters, and none of them had fazed me before," Puri Puri Prisoner remarked, "But this... This feels different..."
As Tatsumaki prepares her next attack on the ship, she hesitates when she felt an eerie presence in the area. Facing monsters much taller than her was not a problem to her, but this presence was enough to gain her attention, "What the heck's going on down there?"
Somewhere from the area, Child Emperor, Genos and a few other Class S Heroes were further away from the battlefield since a few Class - S Heroes were enough to handle this situation.
But they all soon felt something from afar, and this caught their utmost attention.
"What is this feeling? Black Luster Superalloy questioned, whose slightly affected by this presence, "Is there another enemy in the field?
"I doubt it, scanners show that there's only one enemy on the ground," Child Emperor said as he felt somewhat agitated, "What could possibly be there?"
'It's certainly not Sensei, and I doubt that Nadia has a hand in all this,' Genos doubted, 'It's probably another enemy...'
Back to the same location, The aura somehow dies down but remains present within the area. In fact, it narrows the source of this aura.
When the alien and the Class S Heroes turned to the source, they see Nadia with her eyes shadowed.
And what came next was something they didn't expect.
Shadows emerged from her feet, and coiled all over her body. Upon completion, the alien was confused while the Class S Heroes widened their eyes with recognition...
"No freaking way..." Metal Bat muttered,
"All this time..." Puri Puri Prisoner followed,
"She's the one..." Iaian followed,
"We were all looking for..." Atomic Samurai finished,
"Nadia..." Archer muttered a hint of concern in his tone,
As for Nadia, she stood tall as the form she took was the one person the Association was looking for...

That is it for this update, everyone. What comes next is two more parts of Chapter 12. Then the revision of older chapters for mistakes, then it's time for me to revise the Child of Nazarick.
For those who read the Announcement chapter of that story. I want to tell you all that I've changed my mind. Some of the chapters will be deleted since I don't want to mess up the timeline. The only exceptions are the Omake Series.
