Halloween Horrors

Chapter Eight

Heading on over to the Crow's feet bar with Castle following in his grey Mercedes. Taking a sip of his coffee sitting in front of him as he waited for Sergeant Anderson and Avevlez to arrive at the bar. He was able to see them pulling up with the traffic even though it was a late hour.

The Crow's feet bar was scheduled to close in one hour. "The place seems empty!" he will make the comment to his son-in-law and the Lt.

"Probably since it's late Castle." Lt. Alverez needed to say to the mystery writer.

Walking inside the front entrance of the bar. It had started to lightly rain at this particular time of the evening.

The two bartenders and one waitress standing at the bar will see the three gentlemen walking in and holding up badges all except for Richard Castle.

A blonde hair bartender standing behind the bar lifted his head to see them. "Can I help you out gentlemen, especially with those police badges?"

"I am Lt. Alverez of the 12th police station. This man has you seen him at all since his wife Carolyn is worried about him." Lt. Alverez noted.

Thinking about it for the moment. "Actually I saw this man I believe is a lawyer with another man having black hair and a brown briefcase. They left a few hours ago since he was somewhat mellowed out from the scotches he was having. The man helping him had mentioned that he was going to be dropping him off at his home."

"Strange to have one of the lawyers only a few blocks from this bar to be helped out by his client?" Sergeant Anderson remarked with his comment.

Looking over at the waitress and the other bartender. "I kinda felt it was strange as well since he seemed normal prior to going to the men's room. It was afterward he than seemed drunk after finishing up the one Scotch that was ordered by his client."

Castle will say the following to the group. "No doubt he was given a mickey to have this client to be taking him home or wind up killing him in the first place." he motions ...

"I wouldn't know." the bartender said with a hand through his salt & pepper hair.

Sergeant William Anderson says to Castle. "We will need to comb the area of his apartment complex. Maybe we will be able to see his body or I hope still alive after leaving the bar?" his son-in-law tells him the truth.
