Halloween Horrors

Chapter 11th

Richard Castle sleeping next to his wife Kate Beckett had been tossing and turning thinking about the new serial killer. Even though his mind was on the book tour as well with two more this late afternoon once he woke.

However, it's not going to be possible to think without the latest killer on the streets. Kate woke to feel her husband's body language. "What's going on Rick since you're able to get to bed?" she alluded to say to him with laying on her side.

Meanwhile the nanny and housekeeper Rosalie had gotten the three kids to school making their lunches. The three had understood that their father was exhausted from the book tour and with the police.

Exhausted as the dark circles were showing under his eyes from the lack of sleep. "I just don't know Kate with the lawyer having been killed as with the first one. Your department will need to step up Kate in order to catch this killer?" he cried out with a yawn.

Touching his face lightly with her hand to say the following. "I know Rick. Even Inspector Gates knows this fact with the funds to be added with the additional officers," she noted with a quick peck to his cheek.

"You do know that I am interested in this case no matter how busy I am with the book tour?" he paused for a moment.

"I know this Rick that it's important for you to be working the case as a consultant on the 12th. No doubt Inspector Gates and the others will certainly appreciate your help," she says laying back since she has things to be done in a few hours.

She was glad that her friends Esposito, Ryan, and others were on the job at this point. While she will let her husband sleep since the next bookstore will be at 4 'o clock in Manhattan.

Carolyn had taken four hours needing to get some sleep before heading on over to the Coroner's office. She had called everyone to let them know about her husband's death. Basically, the story had been on the TV early morning with all of the local channels.

She had calls from her husband's firm to give their best for her. While they had gotten a replacement for her in the main secretary's pool. She had called the Coroner's office letting them know that she was on her way over.

Even though Halloween will be arriving soon in a few days and she wasn't in the mood to celebrate at all. Though she and her husband Michael had brought Ghostbusters costumes. Now she will need to return them with the receipts that she still has in her brown wallet.

She started to cry again as she gathered her things for the trip to the autopsy bay to view her husband's body. She didn't know whether she was able to get through this with the plans for his burial.

He was going to be buried in a plot next to his parents, along with herself for when it does actually happens.

She walked out to her blue Volkswagon with the sun pushing through the clouds. She removed her keys from her coat pocket to get into the front and the driving wheel. How she hated doing this in the first place.

Meanwhile, at the Coroner's office, the body of Michael had been placed on the table after Doctor Perlmutter had prepared the body. Once the wife arrives and her permission. He will be able to begin the process of the autopsy on the latest victim.

Twenty minutes later she will be able to arrive at the Coroner's office parking her buggy in the back with the lot almost full of employees.

She takes in a deep breath as she parks the vehicle to head inside with the security officer to direct her to the sixth floor to view her husband's body. She walked inside the slow-moving elevator making her cringe at times with each and every stop with employees moving inside.

Finally reaching the sixth floor. She is able to find her way to see an older gentleman standing outside the viewing area. He will introduce himself to Doctor Syndey Perlmutter explaining the situation to her along with having to be difficult.

"Doctor Perlmutter, you have my permission to do the autopsy on my husband's body. Now can I see my husband's body?" she alluded to say to him and tapping on the window. The assistant has to be inside to raise the blind to have Carolyn see Michael's body on the table with his body covered except for his face for the most part.

She will begin to cry as her emotions were overwhelmed. "Are you alright?" he noted with the question.

"Yes, I am, Doctor. It's Michael laying down on the table. Just be sure to let me know if anything else had been found with Michael?" she pointed out with her question.

"Of course!" Perlmutter cried out with his response.
