This is the first fanfic I've wrote in years. :3 I've never wrote a Inuyasha fanfic before, but I am confident I kept them all in character.
Style : One Shot
Pairing : Inuyasha/Kagome.
Characters : Kouga, Inuyasha, Kagome
Summary : Kouga gives Kagome a gift, which completely ticks Inuyasha off, so Kagome gives Inuyasha a reason not to be so jelous.
Sometimes she just didn't understand why he got so angry. After all, it's just like he said...
"It's only a flower... Nothing to be excited over..."
She agreed. It's only a flower. Honestly, she wasn't excited at all over it. The first few days she kept the flower because it was a gift, but she kept it from then on because it annoyed him. He was jelous. She would laugh to herself at his flustered face.
"Stupid wolf..." He would say to himself, not too sure himself why he'd say it every time she'd look at the flower.
And she would smile and dismiss it, because every time he got jelous it was a sign of how much he really cared.
Then, when Kouga would reappear, seemingly from nowhere, him and Inuyasha would fight.
"Bwaaaaaaaaka!" Inuyasha would shout, growing angry.
"Bahh-kahh!" Kouga would pout, crossing his arms, growing cocky.
This would go on for moments, sometimes hours, depending on how long Kouga decided to stay... and Kagome would watch.
Kagome was sometimes annoyed by Inuyasha and Kouga's fighting, but that was fine. Kouga would finish his fight with Inuyasha, then run to Kagome. He would grab her hands, stare into her eyes.. Smiling a hopeful smile, filled with the denial. She only looked past him to Inuyasha, who would always be angry, shocked. There was even a tint of his sad-puppy face showing.
"So are you ready to leave mutt-face and come live with me?" he would ask, growing more hopeful every time he asked. Then there was Inuyasha, growing more angry everytime he asked.
She would smile brightly, shake her head and say 'no'. He would just sigh, dropping her hands and look back up at her with a smile. He would tell her he would be back to ask again. He always was and he always did.
This time when he left, as they continued walking, Inuyasha looked to Kagome. "Keh!" he sighed, "Why do you keep that flower!" he asked her. The flower, a tulip threaded into her backpack, had never seemed to wilt.
She looked to him and smiled as she approched him. He jumped slightly.
Why he she smiling? he asked himself, a little uneasy.
"Inuyasha-kun..." slowly escaped her mouth.
Inuyasha... kun? He was thrown off by the name. She'd never used it on him before. Then she wrapped her arms around him. He was confused, but didn't question her. He put his arms around her.
Inuyasha decided that day, that Kouga didn't matter and was no threat anymore. Kouga could give Kagome anything he wanted. Inuyasha knew he had Kagome.
Keh! You stupid wolf! It's only a flower!
