Sup guys? Lighting Wolf here, back with another story, this one about Pokémon. Enjoy the 800-word chapter. I don't own Pokémon, Nintendo and a few others.
At no point did Cynthia worry about things. She was after all the champion, someone who had conquered the Sinnoh region and climbed to the top of the ladder. She knew more then anything that she was the biggest fish in the pond.
"Hmm..." Cynthia said before she turned to greet her Garchomp who leaned down to greet her owner. "What, you thinking about him?" Cynthia asked as she turned to pat the Pokémon on the head.
She was well aware of the battle. It was not something that she had forgotten once more. Cynthia had not forgotten that fight.
"Yes, he was quite interesting, wasn't he?" Cynthia asked which got a nod from the Pokémon as well. "Hmm…" Cynthia hummed once more with a small smirk gracing her face.
Cynthia had known dozens of warriors at the end of the day while she knew for a fact that she had beaten the majority of them. Some had come close, but in the end? Cynthia had always overcome them at the sun's set.
"He had come closer than others." Cynthia stated while she cracked her fingers and shook her head and then looked around once more.
Cynthia knew her friend had equaled her. it had been a battle for the ages. Was he there to defeat her for her title? No, he didn't really care and used it as an excuse to fight her. Cynthia could read people the more she had battled them… But him? He had equaled her. It was an interesting clash; he had wanted to fight her for the thrill of the clash.
"I want to point out that there's few people like him, Gar." Cynthia stated while she started to think as she started to walk around the room once more.
Cynthia watched Garchomp walk around the room. Cynthia was quite interested in this trainer. They had tied in the battle; he had left with his last Pokémon. Cynthia could tell he was eager to heal them and he was concerned for the Pokémon who had been under his command.
"Do you want to battle him again?" Cynthia asked her Garchomp nodded as she patted its head once more and hummed.
Garchomp wanted to face the boy again. His signature Pokémon was something hers had NEVER forgotten when Garchomp down to it. She was quite happy around her master as well, but fighting someone. Cynthia smiled as she thought about how things had been during that battle. It was far more exciting than the rest of the battles.
Cynthia sighed as she rubbed at his eyes and thought about how bad things could have been. That fight was something, but tracking someone down for ANOTHER fight? That would and could lead to issues since she barely knew the man who had almost defeated her. Showing up was fine, but challenging him out of the blue? That would certainly raise questioned Cynthia didn't know if she could answer.
She decided it was worth it. It wasn't like the champion of the region was someone who had to worry about duties or such. Cynthia turned and recalled Garchomp into its Pokeball before tucking the ball into her coat as she turned and started her walk.
"I remember he told me his hometown if I wanted a rematch… I'm sure it will be quite fun." Cynthia said as she cracked while she shook her head with a smile. "You better not do something crazy, Gar." Cynthia stated and then clicked her teeth against the roof of her mouth.
"I wonder what he's thinking at the moment." Cynthia said as she spun the Pokeball in the palm of her hand while she paced back and forth. "Well, he did talk about battling me once more, but I'm sure he'll have some questions." Cynthia said before gazing up at the stars above while she started on her path.
Cynthia was happy about the upcoming fight; it was something that she remembered when she was a child… Still? She was not going to be very discreet when she arrived, but she was beginning to not care much about that.
"This battle is going to be interesting, but why am I so invested in it?" Cynthia asked as she pondered her next maneuver.
