'it's been about a month since I last checked in, my birthday is in a few days! 18 and only a few months left of high school! Both norman and gobby haven't been seen since Valentine's day, Harry's really been freaking out about that.'
That morning in mid March Peter parker wakes up heading downstairs to find what is clearly his aunt and his girlfriend planning a party for him but upon them noticing his presence they're just sitting there like a deer caught in headlights, gwen probably would have been like that all day if the aging parker women didn't usher them off to school before heading to work herself.
When they got to school they were all called into an assembly. "Allow me to introduce your new media arts teacher, coming in weekly, from the daily globe news network mister lance bannon!" The principal announced jestering to a very cantaloupe peach looking man with dark sandy blonde hair and a green polo shirt on, he also looks like he eats, sleeps and breaths the gym.
Besides MJ, who was the only one really interested in mister bannons' class, most students were mobbing her with questions about the prom this year. 'prom? I hadn't even thought about it. Between everything that happened with my parents, pete's secret, and everything else I completely forget about normal things like that but why is everyone mobbing just me about it? I may be the class president but there's a whole prom committee for this crap!' the blonde pondered to herself while in the middle of the schools inquisition.
When Peter, Harry and MJ made it to doctor martha connors bio class the doctor handed the young brunette boy a certificate announcing Peter Parker, you are hereby awarded the scientific scholarship for Empire State University. There will be a ceremony honoring your brilliance at fisk tower on March 18th at 8:30. 'I guess college won't be a problem but I can't believe I'm actually gonna have to swallow being in the same room as the kingpin. On my birthday no less!' he physically shuddered at the thought.
Later that day after school Peter and gwen were hanging out at harrys house, gwen all snuggled up sitting on the super powered boys lap when harry says "it's great that you two are just so in love but how bout keeping the P.D.A. to a minimum" with a twinge of resentment before changing priorities "seriously guys my crazy super villain dad has been off the grid for a month, what are we gonna do about this?" "I told you before Har we'll find him and we'll help him. There's no way I'm gonna let anything happen to him alright" Peter told the panicked and annoyed young osborn as he slid gwen off his lap.
About a minute later george called him up "I got some bad news for you kid, Caradine escaped. Apparently the scorpion broke him out this morning. I'm sorry" the webhead almost broke his phone in half in anger and despite the concerned questioning of two of the closet people in his life he could not talk to them, he just shut them out.
When Spider-man arrives at the roof of the police station to see george and Jean waiting he is one royally pissed off super hero. "How could this happen! How could that deadly mercenary have freed that murderous dick head! Why would he free him?!" 'oh no! He knows who I am now too' george is definitely understanding of the wall crawlers hatred for carodine after all he took the only father he knew from him, gunned down without concern simply for a quick getaway, but dewolff was a bit confused by the red and blue teens fixation with, what's to her, just some random street punk.
While they're up on that roof a building right in clear view erupts in a firing explosion, george immediately rushing off to help any civilians while jean stays to call it in. Unfortunately the chiefs voice came over the radio asking if Spider-man was in the area, he jumped off over to the building to give george a helping hand leaving jean standing on the rooftop alone.
Turns out the explosion was no accident, it was caused by the enforcers as part of an extortion ring. He webbed them up all neat and tidy as soon as they left the building now inflamed, together george and Spidey got all the buildings occupants out of harm's way:11. Once the last person was brought safely to the street, chief yuri watanabe was fast approaching to arrest Spider-man when dewolff called out in protest. "No disrespect here chief, you're an amazing cop but Spider-man is not our enemy." Before anything negative could come from this the web head calmly addressed the chief. "Look chief I've saved your lives a few times and you're both great cops but I'm just trying to help out here. Don't condemn captain dewolff for my actions." Before then swinging away while she was left pondering his words.
Over the next few days leading up to his birthday Peter has come across the scorpion 3 separate times, all of which resulted in him getting his spider ass kicked and scorpion escaping again. 'those training sessions with gwen sure aren't doing much to help, well except my hormones seeing gwen I pink short shorts and a very tight white tank top.'
It was now the afternoon of his 18th birthday and as he entered his home an hour before the ceremony at fisks he sees standing in his kitchen everyone from aunt may, gwen and her dad to flash thompson and jessica drew. They all were really having a good time and enjoying themselves, when it was time for the ceremony only the parkers, stacy's, and watsons attended. Harry went home to continue the search for his father while flash and all the others had felt they spent enough time around parker for the day.
"Good evening to the few individuals that have the privilege of knowing such a gifted young man. It is my pleasure to honor this year's ESU science scholarship to someone truly deserving. Peter Parker." The large bald man with a hint of stubble on his face and dressed in a white suit the man known to all as wilson fisk announced to the small audience. When the man handed Peter a plack he did his best to smile normally 'i can't reveal I know he's a criminal no matter how hard it is" but fisk being a very wealthy and widely known name in the city, the event had attracted some unwanted attention.
None other than dennis carodine had walked into the building gun toting and carrying a big ole empty sack. "Alright everyone just give me all the valuables and everything'll be just fine, especially you fisk!" The lowlife demanding while rapidly pointing his gun all over the place but when dennis zeroed in on both may and Peter, george stepped in the way. "Enough! You'll not gonna hurt these people again." Dennis just stood confused unable to remember what he'd done "Again….?(but suddenly it clicked like a bomb going off) the old man, who's car I swiped! That was you folks was it" the crook only got an even more pleasured grin upon this knowledge. "Attention all units carodine spotted at fisk tower, armed and taken hosta…." George began to speak over his radio but stopped suddenly after the low life shot him right in the shoulder "mister stacy!" "George!" "Dad!" Peter, may and gwen screamed out all at the exact same moment.
"Now listen here! Ima be getting outta here with a ton of cash but this doesn't have to go down like before! No more old men have to die this time!" The robber belted as he became more and more panicked by the moment but none of that compared to the panic caused by the sudden appearance of a man in a tactical navy blue jacket, maroon pants, a belt full of large stuffed pockets, and green boots and gloves. His most distinguished feature however was the comically oversized and thrown together green mask worn over the man's face, this was the notorious sin eater standing before them. "The only way you're getting out of here is in a body bag you poisoned filth" and before anyone could blink the sin eater had gunned down dennis carodine dead before turning to look at peter's horrified face "you're welcome kid." Before then rushing out the door.
Before george was loaded up in the ambulance to get his shoulder taken care of, gwen was desperately trying to console her boyfriend but he just wasn't letting her in and she was more than a little disappointed and more than a little frustrated when he wouldn't go to the hospital with her.
Spider-man swung straight to the station to meet with the captain. "Captain tonight the sin eater arrived minutes after detective stacy called about carodines location. We know sin eater is targeting criminals and there's no way he could have arrived so soon unless he heard the report over the police radio. Captain… I think the sin eater is someone inside the department."
A/N duhhnn duhhnn duhn….. ok yeah not really a lot here but pain killers, pain, and alcohol can really screw a person up I guess, plus I've kinda started basically just filling time until the first arc/seasons finale. Until next time true believers!
