Chapter 64.

Louis was there for some reason. Mike didn't know why. He was pretty sure no one had told him, but maybe Harvey had told him when he wasn't listening. Sometimes he just drifted off. It wasn't his fault; it was just so hard to concentrate. It felt like everything was just slipping away from him.

Louis sat down in front of him now.

"So, Mike. I understand that you and Harvey are having some troubles here." He said.

Mike didn't know what that might be. They had troubles? He didn't bother to deny or confirm since he didn't see a point doing so. He didn't know how to fix this.

"I'm just here to help out a bit." Louis paused as if he waited for Mike to say something. He didn't know what that would be so he didn't speak. He kind of wished a bit that he could go back to sleep.

"You don't have to speak if you don't want to." Louis said then so Mike made the effort to look into the other man's eyes then. Louis smiled wide at him.

"You know I'm happy to be here Mike, I was glad when Harvey asked me to come and stay with you for a bit. I never thought he would ask. I want to help. I don't know if Harvey realizes that or not."

Louis really talked a whole lot. He didn't seem to mind that Mike never answered him.

"Mike, did I ever tell you about this case me and Harvey had together after we had known each other for a year?"

Mike shook his head a little. He had never heard about that before, so Louis told him. After that Louis told him about another case he and Harvey had worked, and then another. Mike listened. He laid there and just listened to Louis' story, he didn't even know for how long. Suddenly Louis stopped talking mid-story. Mike waited a while, but he didn't continue, Mike realized that he wanted to hear the rest. He slowly turned his head to look at Louis. Louis was on his phone and looked surprised to find Mike looking at him when he was done.

"What happened?" Mike found himself asking.

"What?" Louis looked surprised.

"With the case."

"What?" Louis said again. "Oh, that case. I'll tell you." And then he finished the story while Mike listened.

Louis was quiet for a while after he had finished. Mike didn't look at him, he just waited.

"It was Harvey that texted me earlier Mike. "Louis said next. "He asked me how you were doing. He worries a lot about you right now, you know. I know that you can't really help this, but I think that Harvey needs you to get better Mike. You need to come back to him, he needs you to."

Mike looked at him then. He wasn't sure if he understood what Louis meant.

"How?" He asked.

"Just talk to him." Louis said then. Mike had more questions, but he didn't bother asking them. Talk to Harvey. Harvey needed him. Mike didn't know what to think about that. He knew that something was wrong here. He was wrong. He was hurting Harvey right now, that was what Louis was telling him, but Mike had a hard time understanding how that could be. He hadn't done anything.

Louis kept talking but Mike found it hard to keep his focus on him now. Louis didn't seem to notice that.

Harvey showed up a bit later. Mike did his best later that night to be better, but it was hard because he wasn't sure on what to do. It left him confused and unsure and he wished he could go back to not caring at all. He managed to fall asleep after a while and woke up from Harvey shaking him and telling him to go to bed, so he did. Harvey followed him into the bathroom and then to the bedroom. Harvey kept talking to him and Mike wasn't sure if he was supposed to answer or not. For some reason Harvey still wanted that they slept in the same bed. Mike didn't know why, but he didn't care anyway.

They were going to sleep now, he knew that.

"Good night." He said out into the room. It was the right thing to say. Harvey seemed surprised though, and for a moment it made Mike unsure, but it was too late to take it back, so he just closed his eyes.

"Good night Mike, sleep well." Harvey said then. "I'll be here."

"Okay." Mike whispered.

Louis came the next day as well, and the day after. He spoke a lot and told Mike about different cases and events that had taken place at the firm. One day after Mike had been to the hospital Louis was there again. Mike felt really bad but he appreciated that Louis was there. He had brought a book that he read from. It was some sort of law book, but Mike didn't recognize it. It wasn't that long because Louis read through after just one visit. He came back the day after and started to read it again. Mike didn't know why he did that, but he didn't bother asking. Maybe Louis really liked this book. Mike just kept listening.

Then something happened. Louis read it wrong. Mike noticed right away, but he didn't say anything. Then Louis did it again. And again.

"It's wrong." Mike told him, causing Louis to stop reading.

"Is it? What is wrong, Mike?" He asked, but Mike didn't bother answering, he just had felt that he needed to point out to Louis that he had read it wrong.

"Mike? What was wrong?" Louis asked again, but Mike kept quiet.

Louis went downhill from there. He started to misquote lines from the book or mixed up years and names. It bothered Mike.

"Stop." Mike said eventually. "You are reading it wrong." He told Louis and looked over at him.

"What was it that was wrong then?"

Mike glared at him.

"You better tell me, or I'll read it all wrong again." Louis said.

So Mike decided to tell him. He didn't know where the need to tell Louis the correct facts came from, but he told him each and every mistake Louis had made, and Louis didn't interrupt him once. After telling Louis all the correct facts he got quiet again.

"That's good work Mike." Louis said and smiled. Then he continued to read as if nothing had happened. Then it happened again, Louis read it wrong, and Mike couldn't help to feel a small flare of annoyance. What was he doing? He wanted to say something again, but he was so tired, and he suspected that maybe Louis did this on purpose now. Mike didn't know why he would do that, he wished he could just fall asleep again.

That night Harvey wouldn't leave him alone, he kept asking questions and would shake Mike's arm until they had eye contact. Eventually Mike asked him to stop and Harvey did immediately. He didn't look happy about it at all though and he didn't say anything else that night. He just helped Mike in silence and Mike was pretty sure that he had done something wrong.

"Louis in coming today as well." Harvey said the next morning. Harvey had practically dragged him out of bed and led him to the table. He was watching Mike eat now.

"Okay." Mike said.

"Take your meds." Harvey left a while later when Louis showed up again.

"What did you do now?" Louis said as he sat down opposite of Mike on a chair.

Mike just looked at him. He hadn't done anything today, had he?

"Harvey can't handle this." Louis said next. "He just too weak. He has gotten soft."

Mike looked at the other man again. What was he saying? He opened his mouth but wasn't sure on what to answer. What was wrong with him? It was like he had some kind of lock on the connection between his brain and his mouth. Louis spoke again.

"You know Mike, if you keep this up for a while longer you will most certainly break Harvey. He begged me last night to just come back, because he can't do this anymore. He's just not mentally strong enough."

Every word Louis was saying right now bore into Mike with a clarity that he hadn't experienced in a long time.

"No. That's not true." He said.

"Yes, it is. I knew Harvey was going to break sooner or later. He's begging me to help him, because he knows he is too weak. You should have seen him, it was pathetic."

Mike sat up then. "Shut up Louis!" He exclaimed. "That's not true. Harvey's not pathetic."

"What is he then? Frankly Mike, I think it's a miracle that you are still alive after living here, I would have thought that Harvey would have…"

"Shut up!" Mike screamed now. He surprised himself ate the volume of his voice. He was panting and shaking, his arms not used to support the weight of his body as he sat up.

Louis didn't say anything else. He just waited.

"Don't talk about him like that. You don't get to do that! You don't know what he does for me. You don't know."

Louis nodded now. "I think I have an idea though Mike."

"He is…he is…" Mike swallowed and noticed that his eyes were starting to tear up suddenly. A wave of emotions hit him, and he wasn't prepared for it. "He is everything to me." He finished, barely aware of what he said, just that it was true, it came from inside him.

"I'm sorry." Louis said then and Mike turned his focus back to him. "I obviously didn't mean any of that Mike, of course I didn't. I just wanted to provoke you. I thought it would be worth a try."

"What do you mean?" Mike felt confused now because Louis seemed sincere.

Louis stood up and then sat down next to him, he put an arm around Mike's back and Mike allowed himself to relax a little.

"You were not here. And that is destroying Harvey." Louis gently said.

Mike stared at him.

"I know that things are hard for you Mike, I can't even imagine what you are going through with your illness and everything around it, but the way you are handling it now isn't good. It's not good for you and not good for Harvey."

Mike's mind was in chaos. He didn't know what was happening right now. He heard what Louis was saying and it was starting to sink in. It was just one thing he wanted to know.

"What am I doing?"

"You are not here."

"But I don't know what…" Mike mumbled. A few tears appeared in the corner of his eyes, but he didn't care.

"I know it must be hard to get out of this, but you need to try harder Mike. You can do it." Louis was stroking his back now. Just like Harvey used to do. Harvey.

Harvey wasn't here right now. Mike suddenly didn't know why that hadn't bothered him until now. Louis was there with him but not Harvey. Was that his fault? Louis had said that Harvey couldn't stand it, that Mike was making it difficult for Harvey to be around him. He hadn't meant for that to happen.

"I'll try." He whispered now. He sank down onto the pillows on the couch. Louis straightened up and looked at him.

"I know you have it in you Mike. Since the first day I met you, I knew there was something special with you, something that Harvey saw as well. You two need each other. I care about Harvey, Mike. He is my friend, and right now you are hurting him. I know it's not your intention, but you do. And you need to try a little bit harder now. It's the least you can do for him."

Mike just nodded. He didn't know what else to do. He had never heard Louis speak like this before. Louis had changed as well.

"I didn't mean to." He said quietly.

"I know." Louis said. "And I'm not blaming you here. I'm just trying to get you a bit more awake."

"Okay."

"Good…good." Louis smiled. "Okay. That was a good talk Mike. I'm glad we had it. How about I make us both a smoothie now, huh?"

Mike watched him go and then closed his eyes. He felt weird. He had listened to every word Louis had said. He didn't really feel that affected by them, but something had stirred in him. Something was happening.

-SUITS-

"Hi." Mike looked up at Harvey from the couch when Harvey came back from the office. Harvey found himself stopping and looking at the kid. Something was different with him. His eyes looked a bit more alert; it wasn't that distant glaze Mike had had for nearly two weeks now. Mike had actually initiated a conversation with him.

"Hi Mike. How are you doing?" Harvey carefully said. He sat down close to Mike, to be able to look into his eyes. He didn't want to ruin this moment.

"Okay." Mike said and for a while it looked like he wanted to say something else, but nothing came, and Mike's expression started to change again.

"What did you and Louis do today then? Is the place still intact?" He hurriedly asked.

"Yes." Mike said.

"Yeah, I can see that? Were you here the entire day then?"

"Pretty much."

He answered with two words!

"Hi Harvey, you are back." Louis came out from Mike's room with a sweater in hand that he tried to hand over to Mike.

"Hey, yes I am." He looked at Mike again, but the younger man had adverted his eyes. Harvey stopped himself from sighing as he stood up.

Louis ended up staying for dinner, Harvey bought them take out. They got to talk when Mike had fallen asleep. Louis claimed that it had been a good day, and that he had made some progress with Mike. Harvey wasn't so sure about that.

"I might have upset him a bit, but I think he got my point later on." Louis explained.

"That's good. Thanks for doing this Louis." Harvey absentmindedly answered.

"You are welcome Harvey. Hang in there, it'll get better." He left two minutes later.

Harvey had a hard time believing that anything had changed when he helped Mike to bed a while later. Sure, the kid looked at him now and again. Sometimes it looked like he wanted to say something, but nothing came across his lips.

If Harvey hadn't been worried about something happening and that Mike wouldn't care enough to tell him, he would have placed Mike in the kids own room. He just had such a hard time with this. He didn't want to be around Mike when he was like this. He didn't know how to act around him, what to say. Louis and Donna didn't seem to be bothered about it, but Harvey really was. He felt unequipped and almost like he was making things worse. He was afraid that he would snap at Mike and he wanted to avoid that, which meant that he kind of wanted to avoid Mike as well, it just felt like a precaution. He couldn't flip out on Mike, it was out of the question, but this was for some reason so difficult to handle so he was afraid that he might.

There had been a few days now when Louis had stayed with Mike during the day. Adam had been by as well, but the nurse had never reported any progress in Mike's state of mind during his time there. Adam said that it was just the normal routine, with breakfast, meds, sleeping, lunch and then more sleeping. But now Louis said that Mike was talking to him and everything. He was talking to Louis but not to Harvey. That hurt a bit.

Now Harvey was sitting on his bed next to a sleeping Mike. He was laying on his back, his mouth slightly open. He looked relaxed in his sleep. Harvey had his laptop in with him and had the intention of reading through a few documents before he would sleep. He did try to do just that, but it was hard to concentrate.

"Harvey."

Harvey jerked a bit and looked down at Mike. He had his eyes opened and met Harvey's.

"Hey Mike. How are you?" Harvey asked, glad for the interaction.

Mike hesitated and Harvey felt how his hope started to fade.

"I'm sorry." He said then. Harvey stared at him.

"For what?"

"Being like this. I'm sorry."

Harvey nodded and put a hand on Mike's shoulder. "I know you are. But you will get better soon, right?"

"I'll try."

"That's all I'm asking Mike."

Mike nodded and smiled a little. He then closed his eyes and went back to sleep in a matter of a minute, leaving Harvey surprised but also a bit hopeful.

He was a bit bothered by the way Mike always apologized for things that he couldn't really help, but this was absolutely some progress. Louis had been right then, imagine that.

Over the next few days Harvey started to see small changes in Mike much to his relief. Louis came over again as well as Adam and Donna. Donna claimed that she had a full conversation with Mike, but Harvey wasn't sure what she counted as a conversation, or if he would have thought it the same as her. Mike did speak a bit more now though, he held eye contact more too. He still zoned out and slept a lot, but Harvey couldn't blame him for that. What bothered him though was that Mike still didn't tell him when he was in pain or needed something.

Harvey found him on the couch shivering an hour after getting back from the office.

"Are you cold?" He asked stopping in front of the kid. Mike nodded and Harvey stopped himself from asking why Mike hadn't mentioned that to him, he just went for a blanket.

Mike went on treatments as well. Harvey came with him to them. They also had a meeting with Dr. Jansson about the progress of the trial drug. She seemed to be satisfied with Mike's latest tests which was a huge relief. She wanted to wait with increasing Mike's doze of it though, until Mike got a bit more stable as she put it.

The real change in Mike's behavior came after a slight setback in Mike's health which led to him getting admitted. Mike had trouble breathing and had a pretty high fever. They also worried about his blood pressure so they had admitted him to be able to monitor his values and keep an eye on his heart, so that nothing would get worse.

Harvey thought about staying the night at the hospital, but Mike didn't really answer much when Harvey tried to talk to him about it. So, Harvey had made the decision to go home and sleep. Mike had barely reacted when he said goodbye and it made Harvey want to run away from there.

It felt so strange when he got back to the condo though. It was almost worse than the feeling he had had at the hospital. Mike's absence was taking over the entire apartment. It just felt wrong being there, and Harvey didn't know what to do with himself. It made him realize though how much of his everyday life that revolved around Mike. So much that he barely knew how to not have the kid there. He found himself missing Mike. He debated if he should just go back to the hospital, but he knew that Mike probably didn't feel the same right now. He decided to go to bed early instead and then see if he could go early to the hospital.

That plan didn't really work out like he had planned. Instead he had trouble falling asleep and when he did he woke up confused and he had, half sleeping went to look for Mike in his room when he woke and saw that the other side of his bed was empty. For a couple of seconds, he had panicked when he saw that Mike's bed was empty as well, but then he remembered and at once he was wide awake again. He found himself sitting down on the edge of Mike's bed for a couple of minutes. This room was so familiar, but still it felt wrong when it was empty. He knew that he wouldn't be able to go back to sleep unless he placed a phone call to the hospital first. He just needed to know that Mike was okay. The nurse who answered told him that Mike was sleeping and before Harvey even asked, not that he was planning on doing so, she told him that she wouldn't wake Mike up so that they could speak. Harvey was able to fall asleep about an hour later though.

He wasn't at the hospital as early as he had thought initially, so Mike was awake when he arrived. The younger man looked up at him when Harvey stepped inside the room. It worried Harvey somewhat to see that he was wearing a mask to help him breath. Harvey was surprised when Mike started to try and remove it as he saw Harvey.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Harvey placed the mask back over his face and as he did Mike managed to grab his hand. He mumbled something Harvey couldn't make out.

"What was that? Relax Mike."

This was something new, Mike spoke again but Harvey still couldn't hear him. He made another attempt at freeing himself from the mask, he seemed agitated. Harvey looked towards the nurse in the room and she gave her consent to that Mike could try and take it off. He helped Mike to remove it then and sat down on a chair.

"Hey Mike…Shh." Harvey placed a hand on his shoulder. "Calm down."

Mike nodded a bit then. He was looking into Harvey's eyes, and he did Harvey felt how his pulse started to speed up. The look in Mike's eyes were different now, he looked afraid and worried. It made Harvey want to smile himself, however he managed to stop himself from doing it. It wasn't really the right thing to do right, but he just felt so relieved that Mike finally was showing some emotions.

"Are you okay?" Harvey asked to see if he could get a conversation going.

"Better." Mike said and then paused. He paused long enough for Harvey to get disappointed, but he did continue. "Now when you are here."

Harvey did smile then. "That's good to hear." He said.

"Harvey, Harvey…"

"Yeah. I'm here." He tried to calm Mike down.

"I'm…I'm…I wanted…"

"Just take a deep breath."

Mike nodded and did so.

"I wanted to tell you that I'm really sorry. I'm sorry."

Harvey shook his head a bit. "What are you sorry about?"

"Just how I've been acting, you know. I'm sorry."

Harvey nodded this time. "Okay." He said.

"I know it's been hard for you. I didn't mean for that to happen. I just… it was just…I don't know. It felt easier."

Harvey, not really having a clue what Mike was talking about nodded again. "Okay."

"I mean, me being like that. Zoned off. I didn't mean for it."

"Oh, okay Mike. That's good to hear."

"Harvey… I'm…. I think I'm over it now."

"Okay. That's even better to hear."

"Yeah, so maybe I could go with you home again?" Mike looked at him with wide eyes, and Harvey just smiled at him again. Mike was back. Harvey found himself letting out a laugh.

"Of course you can." He leaned over Mike and pulled him up to sitting. "Come here. Of course, you can come home." He pulled a surprised Mike in for a hug. He could feel how Mike weakly hugged him back, so he just tightened his grip on Mike. He was really back.

"Ugh… Harvey…" Mike panted then. "I can't breathe."

"Shut up, sure you can." Harvey patted his back a little but didn't let go.

"No…" Mike pushed at him a little and then started coughing. He didn't stop even when Harvey let him go and the nurse from before returned and efficiently put the mask back over Mike's face. Harvey just laughed, even a bit more after getting an annoyed look from the nurse.

"Don't remove it again until your doctor gets here." She told Mike and glared at Harvey until he raised his hands a bit, then she left.

"Heh. Alright. I'll guess we'll just wait for your doctor then."

Mike shrugged a bit, but Harvey was pretty sure that Mike too was smiling.

The next few hours went by quickly. Mike had a doctor there, they talked, and he was examined and then deemed well enough to be let out of the hospital. Harvey was told to look out for any more breathing difficulties and to bring Mike back if they occurred. After that they got to leave.

Mike kept looking over to him in the cab on their way home. Harvey looked back and raised an eyebrow after the fourth time that Mike had looked at him but hadn't said anything.

Mike smiled a little then. "Are you pissed?" He asked then.

"What? Why would I be pissed?"

Mike shrugged a little. "I just thought you were, since you didn't… you know, you didn't stay with me at the hospital last night."

Harvey nodded slowly. "I wasn't angry. I just thought you wouldn't notice whether I was there or not."

"Yeah, okay." Mike looked out the window.

"Hey? Is that all?"

Mike looked back at him. "I noticed." He said. "I noticed and I cared." He shrugged his shoulders a bit.

"Okay." Harvey reached over and patted Mike's leg a bit. The rest of the car ride was spent in silence, but this was a chosen silence from both of their parts, nothing else.

-SUITS-

Harvey was acting weird and Mike didn't know why. It seemed like Harvey was overly happy about something that Mike had missed. He didn't know what is was and he wasn't going to ask. He didn't really feel all that good. It was easier to breath now at least, so that was something. He wanted to sleep.

His night at the hospital hadn't been a pleasant one. At first, he had been so confused, he hadn't really known what was going on, but then it started to clear. By then it was late at night and neither Harvey nor Adam had been there anymore, they had both been there at one point. But not anymore, and suddenly he wished they were. He was actually wishing for something then. He had a hard time falling asleep. They had him on some kind of drug, he didn't know what it was, but it made him feel pretty alert.

He had asked a nurse if she knew where Harvey was, but she hadn't even known who he was. It upset him. She should know who Harvey was. That was important. He had started to think about stuff after that. Why wasn't Harvey there? He was always there, why not now?

Thoughts that he hadn't had for some time now started to pop up in his head. Thoughts that he had tried to avoid, or that he had pushed away. He thought about things that Louis had told him. Mike had done wrong by Harvey. It was his fault that he was alone right now, he had done things to push Harvey away, things that made Harvey not want to be around him. That had hurt in him. He needed to make a change he understood then. He needed to get Harvey to forgive him. He needed to start fighting again. He couldn't just hide behind this veil of numbness anymore. What had he been doing really? He needed to get a grip.

He had asked a nurse for a phone but hadn't been given one. She also said that it was three AM and that he shouldn't be calling people at that time of night. He had gotten annoyed at her then and told her to leave.

When he woke the next morning, he had trouble breathing. Then Harvey shoved up and he felt so relieved. And now they were going home. Hopefully he would manage to stay more afloat now, more aware. He thought that he would. He thought the numbness had faded. Actually, he was kind of glad that it had. He felt more like himself now. And Harvey seemed to be happy. The older man smiled a whole lot at him, and Mike found himself smiling back then.

When he asked Harvey if they could watch a movie Harvey had given him a high five. It was a nice evening that day. Donna came over for dinner too. It got a bit awkward when it was time for them to go to bed. Harvey asked if Mike wanted to sleep in his own bed or next to Harvey. Mike felt himself blushing straight away.

"I think that we maybe have shared a bed enough?" He said but couldn't look at Harvey. He remembered.

"I don't mind Mike." Harvey sounded so sincere that Mike snapped his head up to look at him. He could see in Harvey's eyes that he was serious.

"I'm fine." He said.

Harvey still stayed in the room with him until he fell asleep. Mike didn't complain about that though, he didn't mind.

His breathing had improved too, he almost felt normal. Adam came over even though Harvey stayed at home with him the next day. He had Mike do different breathing exercises. Louis came over for a while as well. He didn't say anything as he walked over to Mike where he was on the couch, and then hugged him for a long time. When Mike shared a look with Harvey that was standing next to the couch it looked like Harvey wanted to burst into a laugh.

"Eh…Louis?" Mike said eventually and it was like the man woke up or something because then he let go.

"I'm so glad you are doing better. I know you would."

"Okay, thanks Louis."

"No, thank you Mike. You did a great job."

"You did too." Mike told him. "I remember everything you told me."

Louis eyes looked a bit watery by now. He swallowed and nodded. "I hope I helped somehow."

"You did."

Then Louis asked if Mike wanted to be read to, and when Mike yet again looked at Harvey, behind Louis the man nodded, so Mike agreed. He didn't mind being read to. It was nice of Louis to take the time. Mike dozed off though in the middle of a review that Louis was reading about a pretty remarkable law case from 1973. Mike missed the final verdict of the case, because when he woke up again Harvey was in the kitchen making dinner and Louis was gone.

Mike slowly sat up and put his feet on the floor.

"Careful!" Harvey called from the kitchen and Mike rolled his eyes as he slowly stood up and walked to the kitchen island.

"Do you want any help?" Mike asked and he smirked a bit when Harvey just shook his head at him.

Harvey seemed to be satisfied when he managed to eat almost haft of the portion put in front of him. The older man didn't even say anything about him having to eat more.

"When did Louis leave?" Mike asked when Harvey started with cleaning up.

"After you fell asleep."

"Yeah, I knew that much. Are you two friends now then?"

"I wouldn't call him a friend." Harvey grimaced.

"Maybe you should." Mike suggested. "He has really been here for us, hasn't he?"

Harvey nodded. "I know that. Louis is a good man." He seemed to think on it for a while. "At least as long as you are sick. Let's not tell him when you're well again."

"Harvey…"

"What? Fine. I admit it then. He is a good friend. Are you happy now?"

"Very. But I didn't even say anything!"

"Whatever. He told me to call him as soon as you wanted to be red to again."

Mike groaned a bit. "You make it sound like I am a five-year-old or something."

"And you aren't?" Harvey faked shock. Mike rolled his eyes at him and went back to the couch. He heard Harvey chuckle behind him and ten minutes later he was joined by the older man. They were halfway into their first movie of that night when Harvey suddenly put a hand on his shoulder, he didn't look at Mike when he spoke.

"I'm glad to have you back." Was all he said. Mike didn't know what to answer so he chose to tip over to Harvey's side and ended up leaning against him. Harvey didn't move or say anything else during the rest of the film. Harvey stayed with him that night as well.

A couple of days passed of pretty much the same. He felt better, more aware and even a bit satisfied. He and Harvey watched movies at night, he played card games with Donna, had a few interesting conversations with Adam. Things were going okay for a while there, but then he had to go back to the hospital again. He got told about some bad results on recent tests and had treatment. They wanted him to talk to a psychiatrist and he said that he would think about it. Harvey had mentioned the group therapy he had been to once. Maybe he could go there again?

Things sucked again when he got back home and had to deal with the side effects. It felt like it was a long time ago since he felt like this and it was strange that he had seemed to have forgotten just how bad he could feel. He just wanted it over with and his mood just was all over.

He noticed how Harvey looked at him with a weird expression on his face after Mike swore heavily after throwing up for a third time.

"What?!" Mike almost yelled.

"Nothing." Harvey said, but looked like it was something. Mike made an effort in turning his back against him. He had an urge to scream a bit at Harvey but didn't want to fight with the older man. So, he better just be quiet.

-SUITS-

He had wished for this. He had wished for emotions, hell, he had even wanted Mike to cry and rage. He had thought that it would be better than apathy. Now, when Mike swore at him for the third time, he wasn't so sure anymore. He felt how he clenched his jaw as he picked up the blanket Mike had thrown on the floor.

At first it had seemed like Mike was trying to hold back, but as time passed and Mike wasn't feeling any better, he started to let go a bit more. Maybe he was also testing Harvey a bit at first, or maybe Mike wasn't even aware that he was doing something different.

Mike was in quiet a lot of pain and squirmed weakly where he was on the couch, as if trying to get away from it. When nothing worked the anger and frustration came. Harvey did his best in trying to keep calm and to be supportive.

"I hate this. It sucks." Mike mumbled and massaged his chest. He had pushed the hot water bottle Harvey had provided down onto the floor. He claimed that it did shit to ease his pain. Harvey sighed and picked that up as well.

"It will get better soon Mike, you know it will. You just have to ride it out."

"I don't want to ride it out. I want it gone. I don't…" He trailed off and swallowed hard. Harvey studied him closely.

"This is a part of it Mike, I know it sucks, but it is a part of the fight."

"Yeah, well I'm pretty lousy at fighting apparently. You heard them at the hospital."

"You don't have to care about that so much, it's just a small setback Mike. Those numbers will go up again."

"I do care." Mike muttered. "I just wish I didn't."

"Okay." Harvey didn't know what else to answer. Mike groaned and rubbed hard at his eyes.

"I just want to go back to before. That was so much better. It was so much better when I didn't care about all of this! I don't want to care." Mike's eyes were shiny when he removed his hands from his face and Harvey knew he was fighting tears.

"You know what Mike?" He paused until Mike looked at him. He needed to get Mike on other thoughts. "I thought that it was absolutely awful. It messed me up more than you know, I didn't know what to do, how to handle you. I felt totally lost. I get that it was more convenient for you, but I rather have you like this, then for you to go back to that. I'm not ashamed of saying that I wished for you to be an emotional wreck rather than to have you just lay there like you did."

"I guess I'm happy for you then. You got what you wished for!" Mike said angrily.

"All I wished was for you to get out of the apathy."

"And I am. I am out of it now and I feel like shit again." His voice broke a little.

"And you didn't when you… before?" Harvey had lowered his voice and moved a bit closer to Mike.

"No, everything was just…numb."

Harvey nodded next to him. "And maybe that was good for you for a while, but Mike, I don't think that is was that healthy for you."

Mike glanced at him. "What do you mean?"

"I don't know if you remember, but I was told to watch you 24/7 Mike. They told me to do that because they said you wouldn't let me know if you were hungry or in pain. That you wouldn't tell me if something was wrong with your heart. You know what that means."

Mike blinked a couple of times and shook his head a little. "Yeah, I know." He said. "And I know I shouldn't wish for it back, it's just that it felt so much easier like that. Time just passed. But okay, I get your point."

"That's good. Here." Again Harvey handed him the hot water bottle and this time Mike pressed it against his chest. He sighed.

"I'm sorry about what I put you through Harvey. I am. I don't know if I told you that yet."

"You did. And again, it's fine." Harvey patted his arm a bit and returned Mike's hesitant smile.

They fell into a routine that both of them were familiar with. Mike slept a lot and went to the hospital a few days a week. Harvey alternated between staying home and keeping Mike company with going to the office when Adam came over. The nurse managed to convince Mike to go back to the therapy sessions. Mike didn't tell Harvey much about it, just said that he hadn't talked much and that it had been fine.

Harvey enjoyed most of the evenings they had together. They would sit, or lay in Mike's case, on the couch and watch movies or TV shows. Sometimes Harvey would sit with his laptop while Mike listened to some book, or they would just talk. During those days Mike was slowly starting to get back to himself again, before the apathy that was. Harvey had noticed that he smiled more. He was in a better mood and wasn't as anxious either as he had once been.

Sure, sometimes he had bad days, usually after hospital visits. The other day Harvey had woken in the middle of the night of that Mike called for him. He had had a terrible nightmare and was close to tears. He refused to go back to sleep for four hours after that, leaving Harvey exhausted the next day. Mike had the luxury of staying home and sleep much of the day, but Harvey had a few meetings and had to head to the office.

"Should you really be here Harvey?" Donna asked him when he showed up.

"I work here Donna." Harvey said and went to his desk, she followed him.

"Stand up." She told him and went up to him. Confused he stood, unsure of what she wanted. Was she going to hug him? But before he embarrassed himself with stretching out his arms, she took a hold of his tie.

"You forgot to tie it?" She asked as she did it for him. For a moment he closed his eyes. He had walked all the way up here with his tie undone?

He thanked her and sat down and rubbed his face a bit. When he looked up again Donna was still standing in front of him.

"Are you doing okay Harvey?"

He leaned back in his chair. "Yeah, just tired. Mike was up between one and five last night."

"And so was you." She stated and Harvey just shrugged.

She smiled at him. "You look exhausted, maybe you should go back home."

"I can't."

"You know I can reschedule for you."

"I know Donna, but I'm fine. Besides Adam is with Mike today."

"The more reason for you to get home and get some sleep. You don't have to worry about him then. You need rest too Harvey, otherwise you will work yourself to the ground."

Harvey politely declined again and ushered her out of the room. Later he would regret the fact that he didn't listen to her though.

He didn't slow down, went to his meetings and ended up staying late at the office. Mike was asleep for the night when he got back home just before ten. Harvey did his best to not feel guilty as he checked on the kid after Adam had left. Harvey didn't go to sleep until late that evening too, although it wasn't Mike's fault this time.

He woke up confused the next morning. What the hell was that sound? Mike! He rushed out of bed so quickly that he tripped on a blanket that got tangled in his feet. He almost fell over and had to steady himself against the wall for a moment, he felt a bit dizzy. Then he hurried over towards Mike's room, however he stood there and stared in surprise for a while then. Mike was asleep, snoring lightly.

What was going on with him? He could have sworn that something had woken him up. He jerked when the doorbell rang a few seconds later. Okay.

He walked over to the front door and opened it, then he immediately regretted that he hadn't gotten dressed first because Donna and Rachel was standing there.

"Oh." He said.

Rachel and Donna shared a look with each other before Donna spoke.

"Good morning, did we wake you?"

"Well…just come in." Harvey turned around and walked back to his bedroom to get dressed. He couldn't show himself like this. When he got back into the living room Rachel and Donna was on their way of putting things into his fridge.

"What are you doing?" He asked.

"We are staying here today, so that you can get some rest. It really looks like you need it."

"Donna…"

"Harvey."

"Fine."

He gave up then and just sat down on a chair. He actually didn't feel all that well. Maybe he actually should do what Donna suggested.

"Do you want me to make you some breakfast?" Donna was standing in front of him suddenly.

"What? Eh… no I'm…"

"I'll make you some toast." Donna decided before he could finish. Harvey just sat there in silence and after a few minutes he had a cup of coffee and a plate with toast in front of him. Rachel explained that they had plans on taking Mike outside so that Harvey could get some peace and quiet.

"You know he mostly sleeps right?" Harvey asked her. "And I don't think that is such a good idea."

"We'll figure something out." Donna said. After that she went to wake up Mike. The younger man stumbled out into the living room a few minutes later and looked at Rachel with wide eyes. He weakly hugged her back as he looked in surprise at Harvey.

Donna bullied Harvey back into his bedroom and told him to not come out for at least a couple of hours.

"What if I need to use the bathroom?" Harvey grumbled but was shushed and pushed inside the room. He shook his head at her but then decided to just do what he had been told. He was kind of tired and had a slight headache.

He was able to sleep for about two hours, after that he thought he had enough and decided to head to the office now when Mike was being cared for. He found the three of them by the table involved in what looked like a complicated card game.

Donna wasn't happy when he announced his plans but didn't try to stop him. He didn't get much done due to the damn headache that wouldn't go away. He still stayed until evening.

Mike was asleep on the couch next to Rachel when he got back home. She was holding his hand. The two women left shortly after and Harvey had thanked them both more than once.

Harvey planted himself in a chair in front of Mike and turned on the TV. He didn't have the energy to do anything else.

Mike woke with a start an hour later. He sat up and looked around.

"Did they leave?" He asked and looked at Harvey.

"No, they are both in the bathroom." Harvey answered.

"What?" Mike leaned back to look towards the bathroom. Harvey just waited and watched him with a smirk on his face.

Mike turned his head back. "They are not in the bathroom, are they?"

Harvey laughed a bit. "They left an hour ago."

Mike rolled his eyes and slumped back down. "They always leave when I'm sleeping. I wish they would wake me up, so I could say goodbye."

"They thought you were too cute to wake up."

"Oh, shut up." Mike glared a bit at him, but he was smiling.

"So what did you do today?" Harvey asked.

"We actually had a picnic." Mike smiled wider. "On the balcony."

During the next twenty minutes Mike told him about his day, Harvey found himself zooning out after just a few. He had to force himself to listen and hummed once in a while, so Mike didn't notice.

"Well, I'm going to bed." Mike suddenly said and stood up.

"Okay. Yeah. Good night."

Harvey closed his eyes a bit. He was really tired.

"Harvey?"

He jerked awake. Mike was standing in front of him.

"What?"

"Are you okay?" Mike asked. He looked worried.

"What?" Harvey asked again.

"I was asking if you are okay. You don't look so good. Do you need some help?"

"What? No, I don't need help. What are you talking about? Have you taken your meds?" Harvey stood up and pushed Mike a bit to the side.

"Yes." Mike said.

"Well, go to bed then." Harvey stared to usher him towards Mike's bedroom.

"So do you want me to stay with you for a while?" He asked when Mike was in bed. The younger man looked up at him and shook his head.

"No, I'm good. You should go to bed too Harvey."

"Alright. Fine. See you tomorrow." He stumbled out of Mike's room and didn't bother to turn around even when Mike called good night after him. He really needed to lay down. His head was killing him. He didn't bother brushing his teeth, he just went straight to bed and fell asleep immediately.

He woke up from someone shaking him. He blinked a few times and saw that Mike was standing next to his bed with a worried expression on his face.

"Wha… what?" He pushed Mike's hand to the side and sat up. He had to keep his eyes closed for some time because the room was spinning.

"Are you okay?" Mike asked and then continued before Harvey had time to answer. "You don't look so good and I was going to let you sleep, it's just that I have an appointment today and then treatment. And I think you should go with me to the appointment, just that. You can leave after if you want."

"Mike. Can you just be quiet?" Harvey interrupted him. "What time is it?"

"Quarter past nine."

"When is the appointment?"

"At ten."

"Shit. I overslept. Why didn't you wake me earlier?" He pushed past Mike.

"You look like you needed sleep. Are you okay man?"

"I'm fine. I just overslept. Did you take your meds?"

"Yes Harvey." Mike followed close behind him into the kitchen. Harvey stopped for a while as he saw that breakfast was set up on the kitchen island. On his spot stood a cup of coffee.

"You didn't have to do this." He sat down and Mike did the same in front of him. He still wore a worried expression. He was already dressed to go, Harvey noticed, while Harvey himself still had his sleeping wear one.

"I have to go and change." He announced and did just that. He ignored Mike's protests about him not having had breakfast. They left without him eating. He wasn't hungry anyway. He regretted not having time to shower either, he felt all sweaty and gross. He was just a bit too warm and had a pretty bad headache. He had taken a pill for it, but it didn't really work.

"This way Harvey." Mike said when they arrived at the hospital.

"I know." Harvey grumbled but followed behind Mike.

They arrived at Dr. Lundin's office and took a seat in front of the desk.

"So, what did you want to discuss Mike?" The doctor said after greeting them. "Is there any problem?"

"Well, yes. But not with me. I was wondering if you could have Harvey checked out. I think he is sick." Harvey glared at the kid.

"What are you talking about?" He said.

The other two men ignored him. Dr. Lundin stood up and came to stand next to Harvey.

"I see." He said. "When did this start?" He was talking to Mike and Harvey felt his annoyance grow. What was this?

"I don't know, but he wasn't feeling well yesterday."

"Okay. Do you mind Harvey?" The man obviously thought that Harvey was going to let him examine him. Harvey pushed him to the side.

"Yes, I do mind. What do you think you are doing?"

"You're flushed. It looks like you have a fever. Mike would you sit over there, please?"

Harvey stared at Mike as he quietly walked over to a chair in the corner.

"What's going on? What are you doing Mike?" Harvey wanted to know. Mike didn't answer him.

"Harvey, listen. This is what we are going to do. We are going to have you examined just to be sure. Wait!" He held up a hand as Harvey was going to interrupt. "We are doing this for the sake of Mike. You know how an infection can effect him. We don't want that." Harvey looked at Mike again. He still looked worried.

"I'm not sick!" Harvey exclaimed.

"Then you won't mind just a quick examination just to be sure."

Harvey realized that he was beaten. "Fine." He grumbled. It turned out that this was the only thing the appointment had been about. Mike had asked for it and Harvey didn't know what to think about that. He didn't get to talk to Mike about it either because he soon disappeared off to his treatment. A nurse came and led Harvey to some other room. After that the wanted to take his temperature, draw his blood and what else. He had to stop himself from complaining. He was shown into another room after that to wait. He felt pretty lousy by now. All he wanted to do was sleep, and since not much else was going on he leaned back against the wall and closed his eyes.

-SUITS-

Harvey hadn't looked happy when Mike left the room while the older man was forced to stay back and wait for a nurse of his own.

It was this morning when Harvey hadn't woken up from his alarm that Mike had decided to make a call to his doctor and make an appointment. He knew something was wrong with the older man, but Harvey refused to admit it. Mike was sure that Harvey had a fever and probably a pretty high one. He had stumbled and seemed confused which was bad signs. And Mike felt like he needed a professional's word for it, otherwise Harvey would never admit it and it would just get worse. He knew Harvey, he would go on pretending that everything was fine until he collapsed. He had done it before, so Mike wasn't taking any chances even if it meant that he had to trick Harvey. Hopefully Harvey's fever was so high that he wouldn't remember that. But what if it was that high? What would they do then? Mike had chemo now and would feel like shit today. They needed help he realized. He fished his phone out of his pocket and dialed Donna's number. She answered after just one signal.

"Mike? Is something wrong?" She asked.

"Hi Donna. So, you just assume that something is wrong when I call?"

"Well, isn't it?"

"I'll promise I'll start calling you just to chat from now on."

He heard how she laughed a bit. "Sure sweetie. But what's happened?"

"I think Harvey is sick. It's not that bad, but we are at the hospital right now. I kind of tricked him into getting examined. And if he is as sick as he seemed…" He trailed off.

"You did the right thing Mike. And you are getting treatment right now, aren't you?"

He said that he was, and she then promised to come to the hospital as soon as she could. He thanked her twice before they hung up. He felt relieved to ouch the responsibility over to Donna. It would also be good it she was there if Harvey in fact was sick.

Donna arrived while he still had some time left for treatment, she hadn't heard anything from Harvey.

"I came straight to see you first." She said and then promised to try and localize Harvey while Mike finished up.

When he was finished, he went in search of both Harvey and Donna and soon found the two of them in a small waiting room.

"Oh, there you are Mike." Donna came up to him while Harvey continued staring out in the room without acknowledging him. "How are you?" Donna asked.

"How is he?" Mike countered.

"Sick of course, but not admitting it. We have been waiting for a while now, but a nurse was just here and said that the doctor is on his way."

She had barely finished the sentence when the door opened, and Dr. Lundin stepped inside.

"Oh, Mike. You are here. I'll make this quick then." He looked at Harvey who had noticed the presence of the doctor and sat up a bit straighter.

"Harvey, your test results are back and I'm afraid that you indeed are sick. I can tell you more if you want but right now, I would like to make arrangements for Mike here."

"What? What about me?" Mike said. "Is he going to be okay?"

"With rest and some medication, he will be all right in a couple of days. You have the flu Harvey. But what I am concerned about right now, Mike is you." The doctor had placed himself between Mike and Harvey.

"Me? But I'm not sick."

"I think you know what I'm talking about."

Mike nodded once. "You don't want him to infect me."

"That's right. We cannot have that happening. As I see it, we have two options here. Either we admit you here for a couple of days while Harvey gets better, or if you can find somewhere else to stay."

"What?" Harvey said suddenly. "No, it's fine. He can come home with me; he doesn't like being at the hospital." Harvey spoke like Mike wasn't there and it was a testament to how bad he must be feeling when he didn't even get up from his chair.

The doctor seemed to want to resolve this quickly because he turned towards Harvey now.

"Harvey, this is the situation. You are sick and in risk of infecting Mike with the flu. That can be deadly for a person in Mike's situation. Do you understand that Harvey?"

Now was the first time Harvey looked towards Mike, and he could see how the older man deflated as he nodded.

"I understand." He said in a small voice. "I'm sorry Mike."

Mike shook his head. "No, Harvey. It's okay. I'll be okay. Don't worry. I'll be fine here for a few nights."

"No, you won't." Harvey argued. "It's my fault, you shouldn't have to stay away. I know you don't like staying at the hospital. I'll…I'll go away. I'll stay somewhere else. You go home."

Mike watched how he had to lean his head towards the wall, and he shook his head again.

"You need to be at home more than I do right now." He said.

"How about this?" Donna interjected suddenly. "Harvey, you go home, and I'll take Mike over to my place."

Harvey blinked slowly a few times, he looked like he was going to argue again, but then he nodded.

"Is that okay?" He looked so uncertain as Mike had seen him, and he wished he could just go over to the man to reassure him physically. Harvey could use a hug. But instead he forced himself to smile and nod.

"That will be perfect." He said. "Thank you, Donna."

"Okay…okay…" Harvey whispered and closed his eyes.

"Is he really okay? Shouldn't he stay here?" Mike asked the doctor. He had never seen Harvey like this before, and he really was worried.

"What he needs the most right now is rest." The doctor smiled at them. "Rest, lots of fluids and some medication towards the fever and he will be fine in a few days."

Mike nodded unhappily and looked towards Harvey. He didn't feel that reassured. Who was going to look after Harvey then if he himself wasn't allowed near him?

After that they were given a lecture of the risk of infection and steps they should take to make sure that Mike was protected. That was the word the doctor used. Mike was to be given surgical face masks to wear in Harvey's presence. In fact, he was given one right away that he reluctantly put on.

"I look ridiculous." He complained when they were left alone. Donna just shushed him and then told him to wait and keep an eye on Harvey, from a safe distance, as she went to the pharmacy.

Mike sat down one the opposite side of the room. Harvey still had his eyes closed, maybe he was sleeping. Mike decided to let him be. He was starting to feel a bit worse himself. Usually after treatment they always went straight home.

Donna came after a few minutes and Harvey was still in the same position. She stopped in the doorway and looked between the two men. She shook her head.

"What am I going to do with the two of you?" She asked. Mike shrugged helplessly.

"Ehm… I kind of need to lay down soon Donna." He said.

She nodded and went over to Harvey. She gently shook him awake. He looked up her in confusion.

"What's going on?"

"We are leaving Harvey. This is for you." She pressed a plastic bag in his hands. He took it, looked inside it and nodded.

"Okay." He said and started to stand up. Donna had to support him. Harvey didn't even shrug away when she felt his forehead.

"You should take two pills as soon as you get home, drink something and get straight to bed. Do you understand?"

"Sure." Harvey mumbled.

"You walk in front of us." Donna pointed at Mike as she took a hold of Harvey's elbow. Mike did what he said and led the way out of the hospital towards the parking lot. Mike found himself a bench and sat down as he let Donna take charge. She got Harvey into a cab and if Mike had felt better than he did right now, he would have walked up to it, to at least say goodbye to Harvey. As it was now, he just watched the car drive away. He wished it didn't affect him as much as it did to see Harvey leave without him.

"Now it's your turn." Donna came up to him and helped him stand. "How are you feeling?"

"Nauseated."

She stroked his arm without saying anything else and led him to an available cab.

"I don't have my things." Mike said as he pulled down the mask that he still had over his nose and mouth.

"Don't worry. I have your medication."

"But…"

"What did I just tell you?" Donna asked.

"Okay." Mike muttered. He tried to sleep during the rest of the ride. If he had his eyes closed, he felt slightly better.

He wasn't feeling good at all when they were in the elevator up to Donna's floor. He had never been to her place before, but right now he couldn't feel any kind of interest about that. The only thing he wanted to see was her bathroom. Shit. He swallowed convulsively. He couldn't throw up in Donna's elevator. She was way to slow in unlocking the door and felt how sweat broke out all over his body.

"Donna…"

"Okay, here we go. Do you need the bathroom? This way." She took him by the arm and led him straight to it. He threw up in her sink.

"Oh shit. Sorry." He said when he was done as he hung over it.

She stroked his back a little. "It's okay Mike. I'm sorry you feel this way. You need to sit?" She had a small bench with white pillows placed in the bathroom and Mike heavily sat down on it as she started cleaning up after him.

"It's nice here. You have a nice…ehm…bathroom."

She laughed a little and thanked him. Mike spent three more hours in there. When the worst was over, she led him out into the living room to a gray couch with a lot of pillows on it. She had made it ready for him with sheets and a blanket.

"I found some clothes for you to change into if you like." She said.

"Okay." Mike said weakly. He felt unsteady on his feet and just wanted to lay down, but maybe she didn't like that he wore the same clothes in the couch as he had on the bathroom floor. He didn't know what to think when the clothes she had laid out for him, fit.

"Oh, you look cute." She said when she saw him, coming back from the kitchen.

"Does this only come in pink?" He asked.

"That's purple Mike." She smirked.

Mike decided to take a nap. His stomach was hurting quite a lot. He was confused and didn't know where he was when he woke up again. He moaned a bit when he sat up and almost felt like crying for a moment. It had taken him far too long than it should to realize that he was at Donna's place.

"Mike?" She then called from somewhere.

"How are you?" She sat down next to him and placed an arm around him. He let himself lean against her.

"I don't know." He whispered. "I didn't know where I was."

She hugged him a bit closer.

"Did you talk to Harvey?" He asked.

"I did. He said that he was okay, and that he had taken his meds and was resting. And I assured him that I was taking care of you."

"Okay. Good."

"He'll be fine Mike."

"But it's not right that he is by himself. You should go over there."

"He is fine Mike."

"But he is alone." Mike said and suddenly that urge to cry came over him again. Harvey was alone and that was his fault. "You should go."

"No, Mike. I'm needed more here with you."

"No, I'll be fine."

"I know, but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving you alone."

Mike bit his lips, hard, and didn't say anything.

"Don't worry Mike." She kissed his cheek and started to get up. "I'll get you something light to eat."

He had a nice evening at Donna's, they curled up together in her couch and watched movies. Donna chose and didn't care when he complained. They ended up being really good, even though him and Harvey never would have watched it together.

Mike tried to call Harvey, shortly before he was going to sleep. But he didn't answer. He sent him a few texts.

"He is probably just sleeping." Donna kept telling him and refused to listen when Mike tried to convince her to head over there and check on him.

"I promised Harvey to look after you. He can take care of himself." Donna didn't let him argue back and Mike had to give up. He did try to call again though after she had left, but still didn't get a reply.

He slept restlessly and had nightmares. After a particularly bad one he woke up in panic and noticed that he had tears in his eyes. He had been crying in his sleep. He shook his head to himself and searched for his phone. He had been laying on it. No missed calls. He dialed Harvey's number. He waited about five signals longer than normal people would and then stumbled over to Donna's bedroom.

"Donna?" He whispered. She jerked a bit when she woke and he knew that he had scared her, but he didn't care when he sat down on her bed, as to not fall over.

"You need to go to Harvey, he is not answering and…"

"Mike, honey, please." She interrupted him. "Harvey is sleeping. He is sick. You need to let him be."

"But he is not answering!"

"I know Mike." She said. "But he is a grown man with the flu. He is not dying!"

"What, like I am?" He threw out. He could see that it affected her.

"That was not what I was saying."

"Since when do you chose me in front of him?"

"I'm not." She said and her eyes widened a bit when she looked at him.

Mike stared back at her. It wasn't what he had expected at all. He wasn't prepared and now he felt that her words cut a bit too hard in him. Without another word he got up and made his way back to the couch. He ignored it when she called for him. He laid down with his front towards the back of the couch. He ignored her again when she came into the living room and sat down behind him. She stroked his back a few times.

"I'm sorry Mike." She said quietly. He didn't answer.

"You know that I love you." She said next and left her hand over his shoulder. He couldn't remain quiet then and turned to look at her.

"I love you too." He whispered.

She smiled sadly at him. "I know what a strong bond you and Harvey have, Mike. I know that you would do anything for each other. You know what Harvey said when I spoke to him?"

"No."

"He told me to stay with you, no matter what you said. I promised I would."

"Oh." Mike said. "I'm just worried, Donna."

"I know. I'll make sure he is okay tomorrow. But right now, we should go back to sleep. Harvey had a high fever; he is sleeping right now. We should let him."

Mike nodded. "I just can't stop thinking about the fact that he is alone. When I have fever that the last thing I want to be."

"I understand." Donna said.

Suddenly he felt pathetic. "I'm sorry I woke you." He mumbled.

"It's okay. Do you want me to stay until you can fall back asleep?" She asked and Mike accepted.

When he woke up the next morning, he had gotten a text from Harvey. It was just one word.

Hej guys! Thanks for still reading! I'll be happy about reviews. What do you think, is it going too slow? Do you want to see something more happen before I finally start to wrap this story up. I have a few ideas still :) So there will be a few more chapters. But we are slowly starting to come to an end..
