"Thank you for that Karma, but I could have handled myself and that student from 3-E."

"What, I can't stand up for my friend and someone else?"

"But you just beat up the class 3-B's star pupil."

"Tch. The teacher said he'd stand with me if what I'd do is justified," Karma says as we head off-campus.

"Yeah, but you know how people are. Only saying what fits their interests at the time."

"Guess we'll just see tomorrow."

The next day before class, Karma gets called into the teacher's office. I wait outside for Karma. After a couple of minutes, the star pupil of 3-B comes out and he's all bandaged up. Then I hear crashes coming from in the office. Karma then comes out.

"So, let me guess. Suspension?"

"Yeah, and they're transferring me to E class."

"So, you're heading home?"

"The principal wants to see me. I'll leave him waiting though."

"Nice. I always hated that dude," I say as I enter the office. Taking in the broken desk, I say, "Can you transfer me to E class?"

"Why? You are one of our top students," the teacher says from the floor.

"Thought it'd be fun."

"No."

"Fine," I say heading out.

"What did you want in there?" Karma asks me when I close the door.

"I was trying to see if he would transfer me to E class also."

"Why?"

"So I can be with you of course. Also, Nagisa is in that class."

"Oh. That dude. You've been friends since you were young. He and I never really became friends during first year."

"Yup. Let's head to the principles. Guess I have to resort to violence."

Karma and I arrive at the principal's office and I head in first.

"Good morning Principal Asano."

"Good morning Miss. Kanei. What brings you here on this fine morning?"

"Can you transfer me to E class?"

"No. You're the best student here along with my son. Why would you even want to go there?"

"My friends are in that class."

"Then I suggest getting better friends. Those friends will just pull you down with them."

"Your right Principle Asano," I say turning my back. "Is what I'd say if I were a bitch!" I shout turning back around and punching my fist into the desk, breaking it. "Your persuasiveness won't work on me. Now, will you let me into E class?"

"Fine. You're suspended for two weeks."

"Thank you," I say as Karma strides in like he owns the place.

"As you two know you will be in class 3-E for the next school year."

"Okay and?" Karma and I ask at the same time.

"I don't want you dragging Miss. Kanei down with you. Understood?"

"Don't worry. We'll still get top scores," Karma says.

"You will be missing your first two weeks of the new school year."

"Cool. I get a small break," I say.

"Leave. Your suspension starts today."

As soon as Karma and I leave the office and get out of earshot, I start laughing.

"I just got my first suspension! Do you want to barge in on our class?"

"Sure."

"Come on then. Let's go."

We rush down to our classroom and as the teacher leaves, I rush in, running straight to Nagisa as Karma stands at the door.

"Nagisa, guess what?"

"What is it Sunako?"

"Guess who you'll be seeing in your class next year!"

"Karma?"

"Yes, but guess who else."

"I don't know."

"Me!"

"What? But you're a perfect student!"

"Oh. I won't be there for the first two weeks. Bye!" I say as I rush out of the room, the teacher looking at me confused.

Karma and I rush off the school grounds.

"Roofs?" Karma asks.

"Yeah. Come on," I say grabbing Karma's hand as we jump onto a wall and then onto the roof.

"Ice cream to celebrate your first suspension?"

"Sure," I say as we run and jump over the roofs.

When we get to the ice cream store, we jump off the roofs and head in. Once we get our ice cream, we sit down outside.

"To getting your first suspension!"

"To getting my first suspension. I wonder how next year will be?"

"It'll be fun."
