Warframe Beyond the Origin
ESKK: Well, here it is folks we now begin the second arc of this fic. I hope you all will enjoy it because this will be a major thing for me. Anyway, let's get this chapter started so Tenno and Jedi enjoy the chapter.
(Start Star Forge)
A month had passed since the decisive battle against Somnus and so far, all was a bit quiet for the Tenno. After taking several days to rest the Tenno had spent most of it working on their new relay. The Syndicates from the Origin System had already sent reps over to help the Tenno where they can. Mission Navigation has already been built as are the Drydocks for the Landing Crafts and Railjack. The varying Syndicates were handling the construction of their own rooms in the Relay. The yet to be named Relay was proving to be beneficial to the Tenno due to its ability to construct just about anything they needed.
Of course, keeping it hidden was also a key in all of this due to the fact that a Sith Spirit had apparently haunted the place prior. But they did run into a few setbacks. One of them was the fact that a huge portion of the station was unexplored and thus they had to send parties out to map out the rest of it. They were making progress but there were dangers here that could not be so easily bested. Speaking of dangers another problem was a personal one a conflict of designs.
"I'm telling you we need a jacuzzi!" Mari called out as she and Akin were at it again.
"Why would we need one if we're hardly going to use it!?" Akin yelled back as both he and Mari were arguing over what to use a newly discovered room for. "We need something practical a Mechanic Room would be more useful than a spa room because we'd be using it constantly!" Akin yelled back as the two were deep in their conflict.
"You mean you'll be using it to make just about anything and everything that comes to mind!" Mari countered as the two went back and forth on their argument.
Zed walked in as he found Titus and Aya just sitting back and letting the two burn themselves out. "Arguing again?" Zed asked as he looked to Titus.
"Yeap." Titus responded while watching the argument.
"Reason?" Zed asked as he looked to the pair.
"Mari want's a spa room and Akin want's a room to tinker with machines in." Aya said as clearly these two have argued plenty of times before.
"Ahh got it." Zed said as he now understood what the problem here was.
"You should stop them before they trade blows." Titus said as Zed nodded to this and was already on it.
"Way ahead of you." Zed said as he went to break up the brewing fight. "Ok guys break it up." Zed said as he pushed the two Tenno apart from each other. "Akin is right a place to tinker with new tech is a much more favorable idea at the moment." Zed said as Akin then cheered to this.
"HA in your face!" Akin cheered but Zed then went on.
"However! Mari has a point that as Tenno if we don't take time to rest and relax, we'll likely not be able to perform as efficiently in the field." Zed said as Akin sighed to this remembering something Tenshin would say.
"A blade shall dull when it is used too often as much as it is not used at all." Akin said knowing how Tenshin words things a lot of the time.
"For now, let's be practical first and then we can squeeze in something to relax in." Zed said and thus the two pouted but agreed none the less.
"Fine." The pair said and thus Akin used his schematics for the workshop he planned to use this room for.
"You never cease to amaze." Titus praised happy that a crisis was averted for now.
"I know." Zed said as he walked past Titus and Ava so see any other sector of the Relay that may need help in constructions. Quite frankly Zed did not think construction will be completed in this lifetime but the benefit of being a Tenno is the Immortality the Void had granted them.
(Meanwhile with the Lotus)
The Lotus was on her throne back on Lua going over every bit of data she can acquire. With the new Relay it extended her reach to the Fa'ar-Awa System, the new name for the galaxy across the Void. This allowed her access to the Holo-Net and thus allowed her easier access to any mission that might require the Tenno's unique abilities and skillsets. So far what she had found was both concerning and at the same time a possible opportunity for certain parties in the Origin System. The Kaminoians method of cloning from what the Lotus could discern was more stable than what the Grineer had been using. No doubt using the same genetic template led to the Grineer's bodies being as they were. If the Queens and those loyal to them like Tyl Regor acquire these secrets, chances are the Grineer will be stronger then every before.
In the case of the Corpus their War Profiteering will be eternally filled with the Clone Wars. The Corpus would no doubt take advantage of the Clone Wars escalate it to line their own pockets with endless amounts of Credits. This could not stand and the best way to stop these outcomes was to end the Clone Wars immediately which was easier said than done. From what she gathered neither side is able to find the middle ground ever since the First Battle of Geonosis. Strange it seems that as the war progress emergency power has been granted to the Chancellor perhaps it might garner investigation. Looking at the picture of the man though... for but a brief moment Lotus was wide eyed when she saw Ballas in his place.
Clearing her mind Lotus calmed herself reminding herself that Ballas was gone dead and never coming back. Changing the view, she saw something of interest of a warrior cast not dissimilar to the Tenno. A warrior group known as the Mandalorians who in the past had given the Jedi trouble in wars. Perhaps it would be best to send a grapevine to Mandalore especially if what she read on Beskar is to be trusted.
"Ordis send word to Zed and his squad I have a mission for them." Lotus said and thus it was time for Zed and his squad to get back out on to the field.
(Scene Break Zed a day later)
The Orbiters were translating into Mandalore Space as they were on their way to meet with these Mandalorians. Apparently in the past they were known to be warriors of great repute and honor. Needless to say, once the squad arrived, they went through the data on the planet of Mandalore.
"So that's Mandalore... looks like someone glassed it." Titus said as Aya was reading the data.
"Because someone did, during the previous Mandalorian Civil War the Republic had bombed the planet's surface so horribly that this became the result." Aya said as they saw the data involved on Mandalore. "The war was between the new Mandalorians the ones who seek to transition from their warrior ways to a peaceful existence and the old Mandalorians the Warrior Caste Lotus told us about." Aya said as she kept reading with her face showing concern. "After which the ownership and acquisition of Beskar had been heavily restricted to the point that not even they can get it." Aya said as Mari found this strange.
"Oh, why would they do that to their own people? Isn't Beskar their chief metal?" Mari asked as she crossed her arms.
"Normally yes but the current leader Duchess Satine Kryste was with the pacifist faction and well..." Aya trailed off as Akin had to ask.
"Well, what?" Akin asked with concern over what Aya won't say.
"Her political stance had been noted as pro pacifist and pro neutral she has every intention of keeping Mandalore out of the war." Aya said as she went over the data on her. "She had the Beskar mines shut down viewing the mineral as part of her peoples blood-soaked history best left forgotten." Aya said as clearly the Tenno did not like this. "For me it seems that the Duchess has been making an effort to erasing the old ways going as far as banishing the Mandalorian Warriors to Concordia it's common belief that they had died off there." Aya said and thus it did not take long for Zed to put the pieces together.
"Should we scrub the mission?" Titus asked as he looked to Zed.
"No... let's get down there and do some recon." Zed said and thus the squad agreed on what to do before they split up for recon.
(Scene Break planet's surface)
The Tenno had used their Landing Crafts to enter the city undetected noting that it was basically a techno dome. The dome city of Sundari was situated in the middle of the desert of what might have been lush green fields long ago. Once inside they managed to acquire cloaks to cover their Warframe forms and opted to stay out of sight as best they could.
Zed was using Umbra of course while Aya was using Gara Prime and Mari using Valkyr Prime. Titus was making use of Chroma Prime while Akin was making use of his newly built Revenant Prime Warframe. "Ok our mission starts here, split up and get as much information as you can." Zed said as he looked to his team. "Don't draw attention to yourselves and most of all don't go causing a scene." Zed said and thus they all had their tasks given to them.
"Right!" They all nodded and thus the squad split up to search for what information they could. Making sure to stick to the shadows they each went to varying locations to dig up what information they could.
(Later with Aya)
Aya was seen entering the library as she had her cloak on. Entering the location, she noted that mostly students and the like were here. Going to the Librarian she put a hand on the table to get her attention. "Pardon me I was hoping you could direct me to any information on Mandalorian history." Aya requested as she looked to the woman before her. Taking note of Aya she gulped in shock at seeing her seeing something she thought to be a droid or a bounty hunter standing before her.
"Oh, um yes just head to that data terminal over there." The woman said and thus Aya nodded to her.
"Thank you miss." Aya responded and thus went to the terminal she pointed out to her but then stopped. "Sorry... if my appearance disturbs you its why I'm wearing this cloak." Aya apologized surprising the woman for a moment which Aya took to go to the terminal. Once there she typed in the information she was looking for and started her research. But when she did, she had her right hand out activating her Parazon to bypass any firewalls, defenses, and censorships to get the full scoop. Going over the data she made it seem like she was studying for a school project of some kind. Some of the people looked at her strangely but when they saw her doing nothing but studying, they began to go about their own business.
"This is a lot of censorship." Aya said as she saw what was going on from her end. Thankfully while she was jacked into the system, she can go through it all and get the nitty gritty stuff.
(Meanwhile with Zed)
Walking around all Zed saw was how peaceful everything is, the dome city seemed to be Prospering. At the very least, better than most planets that were war torn or stripped of their resources and become either very polluted by the Grineer or overrun by the Infestation. Or just about any major mess the Tenno had seen and tried to clean up and heal the area the best they can and hopefully the world can heal on its own afterwards. There were only a few places unaffected by the factions and thus became safe havens for many. They were places such as Cetus and Fortuna have been great safe havens to those who seek a shelter away from the dangers such as Grineer and Corpus.
But they were smaller and easier to manage, a place like this would take some serious labor work, time, and money. But then again when the queen decided to make this world a more peaceful place. This meant anything of combat and war were dismantled, warriors were sent away or imprisoned, and no doubt those without work quickly found new work and created places such as these dome cities.
It wasn't bad, but nothing on the Orokin building, heck they created living towers that you could peel off the wall like flesh and make food from it, as disturbing as that sounded. But it was sure as the Void better than food that was rotten, toxic, and outright ruined by the different enemy factions back home.
As People going about their day and mostly minding their own business but they could not help but look in Zed direction. The cloak that he wore helped hide his Warframe's figure it seem the bits of gold and black of his Warframe that is sticking out, stuck out like a sore thumb. Thankfully, no one had confronted him at all which made his recon a bit easy to deal with, but he cannot shake this feeling he had.
As Peaceful as everything looks Zed cannot help but feel something is out of place. Maybe due to the years of fighting he was always on guard with a slight paranoia. But it wasn't just him that feels that way as he felt Umbra emotion as well, as they both wondered if there was something hidden behind this peaceful scenery.
Suddenly to everyone shock and surprise a sudden explosion had erupted from a building. No doubt it had caused a lot of damage and casualties that sprang Zed into action. Zed could not help himself but rush towards the danger and see what had happened.
Getting a good look at the situation, he saw that there was a lot of people around the blast area who were hurt, heavily injured, or dead. Either way it wasn't looking good, and it just made Zed's blood boil. What was more surprising was the fact that it seemed the culprit had left a calling card behind. In response Zed used his scanner on said calling card and saved it onto memory to a later research topic.
Suddenly he heard and saw a familiar person, as he sees Obi-Wan in the area with a woman of nobility next to him, to the look of her, as he told the guards around the area, "I want to interview everyone here, nobody leaves this scene."
After that someone from the crowd of people started running as Zed saw this. The Tenno then leaped off from where he was and started to follow after the guy. and plan on cutting him off, while Obi-wan saw the man too and decided to chase after him as well as he called out, "You there!"
The man ran as fast as he could but obi-wan was hot on his tail and wasn't going to let the man out of his site anytime soon, as Obi-wan chase the man to a dead end with no way to escape but jumping off the ledge, as the man halted in his running as he reach the edge of the building he was on before turning around, seeing Obi-wan was before him as he held out his hand as he said to the man, "I only want to talk."
The man didn't seem interested in talking or be taken into custody as he pull out a blaster of some sort and started blasting at Obi-wan, while the jedi dodge and roll out of way of the blast bolts before pulling out his lightsaber and deflecting his shots before sending one back to hit the man's blaster out of his hand.
After that, the man just charged at Obi-wan while he put away his lightsaber quickly before the man was upon him before he threw the man over him with ease as the suspect landed a bit hard on the ground while Obi-wan gotten to his feet quickly and said, "I don't want to hurt you."
Suddenly that same noble woman that was with Obi-wan earlier had follow them to observe of what is happen as Obi-wan said to her, "Stay back!"
The man saw this as he took a chance to run over to the edge of the building platform he was on. The man then climbed up on to the safety rail before he started speaking something as he said, "Calhava Bru'chun dralshye'ran!"
After the man had said his piece, he then fell back to what should be his death. As Obi-wan and the woman saw this the pair were shocked by such an action and quickly rushed over to stop him from falling. But they were unable to get to him in time only to see the man falling to his doom. That was until a black blur was seen rushing on the side of the walls of the building before leaping out to the man, catching him in midair. He then landed on the ground safely and gracefully with the man in his arms after he rescued him.
The man struggle to break free of the person grip who was holding him, when he was release, the man accidentally ripping off the cloak from the person was wearing it and to his and everyone else's shock to see Umbra Excalibur Warframe before them, as Obi-wan and the woman saw this and were surprise as well as the woman and Obi-wan said at the same time, "A Tenno/Zed?"
Down below as all the people backed away from Zed while the man remained frozen in fear as he knew who stood before him, as their stories was told all over the Fa'ar-Awa galaxy System at this point everyone knew who they were at this point as Zed saw his cloak was off as he said, "Great, just great. I wanted to be anonymous, but I guess it can't be helped at this point."
Staring down at the man as he just remained in his spot for a moment before coming to his senses as he tried to get up and run away, only for Zed to jump over the person and grab him before he could get away as Zed said, "And where did you think you're going?"
A Little later as Obi-wan and the woman came out from an elevator and saw the scene before them as Zed was cuffing the man while taking him prisoner, as he would have transported him away but sense this was supposed to be a peaceful place, he didn't want to make a bigger scene than he already had by his appearance alone, as the man struggle to break free only to find zed was stronger than him as he held him in place while he said, "Struggle all you want, you can't get out of my grip."
"Zed... what a pleasant surprise to see you here," Obi-wan said getting Zed's attention as he said to the Jedi. "Hey Obi-wan, what a strange coincidence seeing you here on this world."
Zed nodded as he held the guy for a moment before passing him over to the guards. "Make sure he doesn't escape." Zed said and thus the guards took the man away. "Duchess." Zed greeted as he looked to the woman, he knew was duchess Satine, her pictures was just about everywhere in the city. "Sorry we had to meet like this I was hoping it would have been under better circumstances." Zed said in a neutral tone to the Duchess while offering his hand to the leader of Mandalore.
"A pleasure." She said in an equally neutral tone to Zed.
"So, if you don't mine me asking what language did, he speak earlier?" Zed asked as he looked to the man who was being taken away.
"It's a dialect used on our moon of Concordia." Satine explained as Zed looked and saw the neutral tone, she spoke to Zed in. Clearly her anti-violence sentiments did not halt at the old ways of Mandalore.
"I see." Zed said as he looked to the group and knew he had to make a call. "Pardon me but I fear I'll have to call my squad before they get themselves into trouble." Zed said and thus opted to make the call.
(Scene Break Duchess Castle)
"HAHAHAHA!" Titus jeered as he heard what happened. "Big bad ass Zed told us not to make a scene and here he comes making a scene instead!" Titus laughed as he found this to be hilarious.
"Jeez I expected more from you." Mari joined in as Akin was so not going to let Zed hear the end of this.
"No kidding." Akin said with a few chuckles but Zed then growled a bit.
"Focus!" Zed snapped as he got his team to focus on the situation at hand. "Anyway, their interrogating the prisoner as we speak so the, more we learn the faster we can deal with this Death Watch." Zed said as they met with the Duchess.
"Now then since we are all here and had our... laughs." Satine began as she looked to the Tenno. "What brings the 'illustrious,' Tenno to Mandalore?" Satine asked as she looked to the Tenno.
"We want to talk about trades for your Beskar." Aya began as clear that Satine did not want to perform any such trade considering the bloody history behind Beskar.
"Absolutely not." Satine said as this caught the Tenno off guard since they were ready to negotiate.
"Can... I ask why?" Aya asked as Obi-Wan was concerned as well.
"My people are no longer warriors, Beskar was a cruel part of our old ways." Satine spoke as the Tenno heard her out. "All mining operations for the metal have since been shut down after the level of damage the planets endured for it." Satine said as she knew what the mining operations had done to Concordia in years past.
"Now wait a second you can't just." Titus began but then Zed put his hand on his shoulder to stop him.
"Very well it seems we will have to look elsewhere for resources." Zed said making it clear they would not force Satine to open such trade operations.
Just then the door opened and from it a Guard came in clearly having run all the way here. "Duchess, we have a situation." The guard said and thus Satine felt a sinking feeling about it.
(Later in the Jails)
The group arrived and saw the man they captured was here and horrifyingly he had slit his own throat using a hidden blade. Aya checked for a pulse and got none as she turned to the others and turned her head silently to signal that he was gone. Satine was horrified over what she saw as clearly this man chose death over ratting out his allies among Death Watch.
"By the Void/Kriff!" Both Mari and Akin cursed as they saw the dead man in his own cell.
"Well, this certainly complicates things." Zed said as he saw the dead body and knew they had to do something about it.
"Agreed." Obi-Wan said as Zed looked to the dead man.
"Where are the warriors located exactly?" Zed asked as he looked to Satine.
"They are on our moon of Concordia they died out." Satine said but Zed would beg to differ.
"Died out? No seems more like they took the time to lick their wounds and laid in wait." Zed said as he knew such a strategy. "Concordia is where the mining operations were located and with someone who knows how to construct weapons, Death Watch was always waiting for the moment to strike." Zed said as he saw what this was and then stood up to look to the Jedi and Duchess. "If you want to find Death Watch you'll need us, we're a warrior caste and can probably anticipate their mindset." Zed said making it clear they were coming. "And seeing as we were the ones to capture this man to begin with." Zed trailed off as Satine saw what the Tenno were saying as did Obi-Wan.
"I too feel that I should accompany you." Obi-Wan said as just then Satine opted to step in.
"That won't be possible without my aid." Satine said as she looked to the group. "Concordia is its own province with its own governor you will need me to accompany you since this involves a Concordian." Satine said as she looked to the group.
"Now wait a moment." Obi-Wan began but then Zed cut him off.
"Very well." Zed said as he knew that despite his distaste for politicians they still had uses while on missions.
"Do we have to?" Titus asked and thus Zed just glared at Titus which shut him up quick. "Ok you're the boss." Titus said as he knew how Zed can get when he's ticked off enough, just ask Ballas and the Grineer Queens.
(Scene Break Enroute to Concordia)
The Tenno, the Jedi, and the Duchess all sat inside a Mandalorian ship that was on the way to Concordia. As they travelled the Tenno took to one side while Satine, dressed in more appropriate wear for travel, took the other with Obi-Wan seemingly caught in the middle of it. While he could not sense the Tenno due to their Void abilities, he could sense that Satine was uneasy being around the Tenno. Zed kept calm but he knew the Tenno did not like Duchess Satine for some of her pacifistic reasonings. Yes, the Tenno wanted peace, but they also knew that to gain peace they needed to be willing to fight for it.
They knew that they can only negotiate with those who are also willing to negotiate and stick to it. The key was to find the middle ground but as the Clone Wars have shown neither side wish to meet at the middle ground to ensure peace. Thus, warriors and soldiers were needed to fight in order to bring peace the hard way. "Well, this is awkward." Obi-Wan spoke as the tension was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
"No kidding." Aya said as she agreed with him. While she might not agree with Satine's no violent views, she still respected her desire for Mandalore to embrace a nonviolent existence. But her methods of bringing that about are questionable since trying to censor so much of their past would not sit well with those who seek to remember their past. Her father once said before the Zariman that those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it. Erasing history does not erase the fact that it had happened and censoring it makes one look to be hiding something in said history tracks.
"I sense the Duchess seems to have something against us Tenno." Zed said as he then looked on over to Satine. "Do you, Duchess?" Zed asked as he opted to be the opening dialogue for this talk now.
"Is this really something to discuss now?" Satine asked wanting to avoid the topic.
"Yes, because quite frankly it seems you had unintentionally created Death Watch." Zed said causing Satine to go wide eyed and glare at Zed.
"How dare you I would never take any sort of role in the creation of an extremist group!" Satine yelled as Zed then sighed a bit.
"Hence why I said unintentionally." Zed said as this was the signal for Satine to calm down a bit.
"Explain." Satine ordered as she wanted to hear what argument Zed had to give.
"You have been erasing Mandalore's past trying to censor and outright erase it." Zed said as this got Obi-Wan by surprise there. "Death Watch follow the old ways and the fact you're forcing them to cast it off caused them to lash out." Zed said as Satine was surprised by the accusation there. "More so you had given them all the equipment and tools they needed in the form of the old mining facilities on Concordia the fact they know how to use said tools shows that banishing them to that planet was a severe mistake." Zed said showing Satine had basically given Death Watch the tactical advantage to arm and prepare themselves.
"I'm sure I can reason with these extremists." Satine said as she wanted a peaceful solution to Death Watch.
"Warriors." Zed began as he then looked to Satine. "Their Warriors not Extremists. Warriors whose honor and identity you've been stripping them of." Zed said as he looked to Satine. "You keep trying to force them to your ideology that they are lashing out because they don't want to be made to forget who they were and where they came from." Zed said as he knew he would do the same if ever in that situation.
"They're demands are simple, give them back their warriors pride and honor and they'll back off." Zed said as he then looked back to the view of hyperspace. "The only way to do that is to play by their rules find the best fighter you have and issue a warriors challenge to them so by the ancient laws of Mandalore they're leader will have to answer it." Zed said making it clear that if Satine wants to stamp out Death Watch she had to compromise and play by their rules.
This caused Satine to grow silent for a moment as she had only one retort to give. "Then perhaps you should look to the damages you Tenno leave behind." Satine spoke as she glared at Zed for this. "I've seen the images and heard the tales how you Tenno had slaughtered and entire Separatist base staining the walls in their blood and entrails." Satine said which surprised Obi-Wan with that tidbit of information having also gotten out as well. He had also seen the aftermath of what the Tenno can do and had at times been hesitant to request the aid of the Tenno. He may not show it but some of the things he saw made him feel quite unwell in his stomach.
"I will not deny this, we had spilled the blood of all the enemies we had face, the Separatist included, but that is the price of winning wars, it's not clean, it's not beautiful, its messy and horrible but we do what we must do," Zed said to her as Satine said to him, "Maybe but how you go about in your war is too much a person could bare to see. If anything, you and your fellow Tenno don't really care who you face, just craving violence and cause more destruction than a solution."
"Don't get us wrong, we try to settle thing better but not everything ends as peacefully as we may like, maybe there are better way to deal with situations, but not everyone in interested in negotiating, but if you're calling us out of being monsters… then you don't know a thing about us." Zed said as his team opted to stay out of this argument. "So don't dare judge us without knowing the pain and burden we bare." Ven said as Obi-Wan chose now to step in.
"Perhaps we should spend the rest of this trip in silence." Obi-Wan said as he looked between the two sides. "It would be best to meet with the Governor with cooler heads." Obi-Wan added and thus they all agreed to disagree.
"Very well." Zed said easing back knowing full well that letting emotions flare would only cause more problems than solutions.
(Scene Break Concordia)
Eventually they arrived on Concordia and upon arriving the Tenno noted that there were varying patches of greenery on it. From their research and Satine's confirmations the planet had become a mining colony and only now are the forests growing back. Landing was no problem for them as once they did, they were met with a greeting party outside.
"Duchess Satine, you are most welcomed." The man said as the group approached him welcoming them to Concordia.
"Thank you, Governor, Vizsla." Satine responded to the man who welcomed them onto the moon. "May I present, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, representing the Jedi Council and the Tenno of the... Tenno Order." Satine said as her introduction had a bit of a bite when presenting the Tenno. "Governor Vizsla is one of the officials I spoke of he's been working to find the members of the Death Watch." Satine said as Vizsla heard this as well as the rumors involving Satine.
"I take it you've heard the rumors about Satine, about how she is supposedly leading Mandalore into an alliance with the Separatists." Vizsla said as he spoke it in a sad tone.
"My instruction were to seek the truth." Obi-Wan said as he looked to the Governor.
"We were just in the wrong place at the wrong time." Akin said shrugging showing they were only here because they were witnesses and/or involved in this. Well technically speaking it was Zed who was there they were all in varying part of the city doing research.
Vizsla then saw the casket being carried off and put the pieces together. "This was the man who bombed the memorial shrine?" Vizsla asked as he looked to the scene before him.
"Yes. He was apparently part of Death Watch." Obi-Wan said which caused concern for Vizsla.
"A worrisome prospect." Vizsla said before getting back to the task at hand. "If you'll pardon me, General, we must attend to the body." Vizsla said before taking his leave of the group. But as they left Zed had some things he wanted looked into as he then looked to Akin.
"I have a favor to ask of you." Obi-Wan spoke as he looked to Satine. "Please keep Governor Vizsla occupied at dinner." Obi-Wan requested as Zed heard this as well.
"Where are you going?" Satine asked and thus Zed spoke up next.
"Obi-Wan and Akin are heading out to make sure these mines are in fact shut down." Zed said as he knew if the mines were still active it would explain how Death Watch armed themselves as well as give them a clearer understanding of the situation. "WE need to determine if they are operational or not and if they are then we have a suspect of where Death Watch is hiding out at." Zed said as his accusation was subtle but clear since most of the Warriors of Mandalore were sent off to this world.
Obi-wan then took out an earpiece and handed it over to Satine. "I want you to wear this earpiece so we can stay in contact in case any of you run into trouble while we're gone." Obi-Wan said as he then looked over to Akin.
"Akin Obi-Wan can you two try not to cause problems, Akin is bad enough to worry about but seeing as you work with Anakin a lot." Zed trailed off and thus Obi-Wan chuckled a bit.
"If they are anything a like then problems may be unavoidable." Obi-Wan said as he had experience with Skywalkers.
"Hey as long as it leads to a solution no point complaining." Akin said not at all bothered over the fact he might just be breaking several laws in one evening.
"I am so sorry." Mari apologized as she knew they were going to have problems thanks to Akin.
In turn Akin summoned his K-Drive while Obi-Wan got onto a speeder bike ready to go. "Just so you know I'm against all of this." Satine said making it clear she did not approve any of this.
"Take it up with a committee." Akin countered as Obi-Wan face palmed himself feeling like Anakin was his Padawan all over again... he should probably expect early grey hairs from this. The two then sped off to perform their mission to see if Death Watch was in fact active on Concordia.
(Scene Break later with Vizsla)
The group arrived in the dining room to find Vizsla working on a data pad. "Forgive me I'm writing a condolence letter to the dead man's family and making arrangements for them to retrieve his body." Vizsla said as he continued to work.
"Of course, Governor, very proper." Satine said just before Zed spoke up.
"The General and Akin will join us later the Jedi had gone off to meditate while Akin went off to explore this place." Zed said with an apologetic tone. "If he's not back soon I'll probably have to send a search party for him." Zed said making it sound like Akin was a tourist now.
(Meanwhile with Obi-Wan and Akin)
The two soon arrived outside of the mines of Concordia as Akin jump off his k-board while Obi-wan slowly breaks his speeder right outside the mine as Akin said to Obi-wan, "Got here first their Obi-wan
"You know it wasn't a race to get here, right?" Obi-wan said as he gotten off the speeder while Akin said, "Maybe but doesn't hurt of try to make it a little fun along way, not everything should be gloom or stiff."
Akin soon headed over to the doors of the mines while Obi-wan just shakes his head a bit as he follow Akin into the mines, and as expected there were lights shining down the tunnels of the mine and fresh dirt on the ground with foot prints as Akin takes notice of, no doubt about it the mines were still operational as the two travel down the tunnel to the main area Obi-wan soon commits, "Doesn't look abandoned to me."
"What was the first clue beside the lights and the wet soil on the ground back in the tunnel area?" Akin said as Obi-wan just sighed as he look over to the rack area where he saw similar packs that Death Watch has been using, while Akin look over on the conveyor belt seeing some ores on there as he look over to Obi-wan who was looking at something else, Akin takes one of the big ores as a sample to test the metal property, no doubt it could be Beskar he put it in his pocket storage so he wasn't caught with it as he said, "You would think they could try and hide the fact this mine is still being used?"
"I have no idea why that is, but we should be careful as there no telling who could be still around," Obi-wan said as walk over to the racks and pick up one of the Mandalorian helmet, no doubt it was similar to the bounty hunter he had face before, then suddenly he saw something in the reflection of the helmet with a battle cry as a Death Watch member came out of nowhere with a blaster and started shooting at Obi-wan and Akin.
Akin just dodge the shot with ease while Obi-wan held up the helmet to block the shot, as it seemed the helmet was blaster resistant before the Death Watch member tackle him down to the ground before running off out of site as Akin and Obi-wan recover from that surprise attack as Akin said, "Well that was a bit unexpected."
Obi-wan quickly went for his lightsaber and ignite it as he stood guard while Akin keep his hand on his weapon but didn't draw it. No doubt remembering what Zed said back on the ship as he kept thing cool while Obi-wan spoken out saying, "I am here on a diplomatic mission, under the protection of Duchess Satine."
"And I just came along for the ride," Akin said speaking out his peace as suddenly the same Death Watch member came out with another one above as the first one said, "We do not recognize her rule."
The guy fired at Obi-wan while charging, as the old Jedi just deflect his shot and kicks the guy back while about to strike down at him, only for the other guy to shot at his lightsaber before he could out of his hands
Soon enough Obi-wan engage the Death Watch member that was close to him into close combat with his bare hands as he knocks the blaster out of his hands and hit him a few time before the guy grab his arm with Obi-wan giving another hit to the guy, only for the guy's friend to join and help his fellow Death Watch member as he grab Obi-Wan's other arm putting it in a lock hold before punching him hard.
The two soon double punch Obi-wan as he flew back and hit the ground on his hands and knees, as before he could recover the first guy came in and kick him in the face, knocking him out as Akin wrench a bit to that as he said, "Glad I'm in my Warframe."
The Death Watch member soon turned to Akin as it seemed to him, they were about to fight him as well until Akin held up his hand and quickly said, "Hold! I am not here on Duchess Satine order, nor do I follow her rule either."
"We know who you are already Tenno, we were order not to attack you at all, instead we were order to take you in and meet our leader," the first Death Watch member said as Akin is surprised by this, as wasn't expecting the Death Watch wanting to meet the Tenno.
As things are with the two Death Watch member were near obi-wan, they had all the cards at the moment as they could kill him at any time, he just wish he could have help before, but Akin knew zed wanted to make a point that Tenno aren't just battle seeking nut jobs as he soon said, "Alright I'll come in peacefully, but the Jedi is under my protecting, as any more harm that leads to great injury or death to him then all bets are off first and only warning I am giving."
The Death Watch members looked at each other for a moment as the second one asked, "What should we do?" as the first member soon said to him, "We'll secure the Jedi here and bring this one to the leader, there nothing much else we can do."
The other guy nodded as they turn back to akin as the first guy said, "Very well." As soon enough the first member picks up obi-wans lightsaber and put it on his belt as he looked to Akin and said, "Follow me."
Akin nodded and left Obi-wan where he is at for the time being as he whispered, "Don't worry help will be on the way."
(With the others)
Within a dining room area as the governor, the duchess, and the Tenno were all sitting at the table as Pre Vizsla was surviving a drink to Satine while the Tenno refuse the offer drink giving the excuse that alcoholic Drinks was forbidden for them as they want to keep their body untouched by such thing, but it was only an excuse of not showing who they are and didn't know any other way to refuse without seeming to be rude, with Pre Vizsla accepted it and only pour Satine a drink to her as she said, "Someone is feeding misinformation directly to the republic Senate, saying that Death Watch is taking over Mandalore. Who stands to gain from these lies?"
"Death Watch, of course," the Governor said to her as the duchess went on saying, "They could not engineer all this. The problem has clearly grown much larger than we thought, and I suspect some external force helped it along."
"Hard to believe, it would have to be someone at the highest level of influence among the Separatists," Pre Vizsla said as Satine soon ask, "But why target me?"
"You lead the Council of the Neutral Systems, thus you threaten the Separatist goals," the Governor said as he picked up his own cup as he was about to say something else until Zed spoken up saying, "Not to mention you did indirectly help with creation Death Watch, if you acknowledge this or not.
In response Satine just glared at the Tenno for saying that. Even now she refuses her part in Death Watch's creation which the Tenno seem convinced was true. "General Kenobi's meditation is taking a rather long time." Pre Vizsla said as he sounded suspicious.
"Probably trying to find our fellow make sure he hasn't gotten to any trouble." Ven said calmly before he picked up a communication link.
"Duchess, Tenno please acknowledge." Obi-Wan spoke through the communications as the Tenno heard this.
Muting his Warframe Zed proceeded to respond letting Satine deal with Vizsla. "We hear you, General Kenobi." Zed spoke keeping his voice down to talk to him.
"I'm in a bit of an awkward spot. I'm being held by the Death Watch and your friend Akin is nowhere to be seen." Obi-Wan spoke no doubt he was being held elsewhere.
"Probably doing something reckless again, we can track you down via you commlink." Zed said as he nodded to his fellows.
"Good I'm do east from your current position." Obi-Wan said making it clear where to find him.
"Affirmative." Zed said and thus he unmuted himself.
"Sorry my allies and I need a bit of time to clear our minds, can never be distracted if Death Watch is about." Zed said using a lie so they can get out of the room.
"Do you require an escort?" Vizsla asked as he looked to the group.
"No, we'll probably find General Kenobi and our fellow Tenno on the way as well." Zed said and in turn Satine stood up.
"I shall join you; I am in need of a bit of fresh air after all." Satine said using the chance to get out and aid with the rescue operation for Obi-Wan.
(Scene Break over with Akin)
Akin was sitting in one of the tents Death Watch had provided him for his stay here. Of course, it came as a shock that he was here to challenge their boss to a fight of all things. The Jedi would be left unharmed for the time being but Akin had his suspicions on this. He had kept his ears open for any news from outside the tent and so far, it was not much to go off of for him But as Tenshin once said one who does not seek knowledge finds himself lacking when knowledge is needed. Or something along those lines, Akin honestly never paid much attention to Tenshins proverbs unless it was something really important.
Back to the matter at hand Akin suspected the Death Watch might just kill the Jedi regardless of his challenge hence why he was ready to call his team for an extraction should the need ever arrive. Hence why he had his beacon activated for his friends to come for him in case of emergencies. Even if he did not always think his plans through, he was still a Tenno at the end of the day. But one thing he was truly terrible at was waiting and no thousands of years of stasis did not count for patience.
(Scene Break with the Tenno and Satine)
The group arrived at the destination in which the locator beacon of Obi-Wan's communicator had led them to. "This the place?" Titus asked as he looked around the still active mines.
"Yeah, the signal leads here." Mari said with a nod and thus they knew what needed to be done.
"Just like any rescue mission, get in, avoid enemy sensors, find the hostage, and get out." Zed said making clear what needed to be done here.
"Right!" The group agreed and thus they entered but that was until something caught their attention.
"Wait does anyone hear the sound of smashing metal?" Aya asked and in turn the group all went wide eyed as this only meant one thing.
"We need to move now!" Zed called out and thus they all entered the mine with the hopes of finding Obi-Wan and rescuing him from whatever situation he had wound up in.
"I may have an idea." Satine said and thus she took off the comm links and placed it on the machine next to her. Once she did so she then pressed a few buttons and from it alarms began to go off.
"What are you doing?!" Mari asked shocked to see Satine do this.
"Providing a distraction." Satine defended and thus the Tenno looked to each other and figured they had no better idea and more, so she already did it.
"Let's move." Zed said and thus the Tenno went on the move for battle.
(Meanwhile in the mines)
As the two Death Watch members hears the alarm, the one near Oni-wan said, "there's some kind of disturbance at the entrance. Let's check it out."
The second member left the control post as he and the other Mandalorian went out to the tunnels to check out the disturbance, unaware to them as the Duchess and the Tenno squad ducking on the other side of the converter belt as the two went by, the Tenno move in fast.
Obi-wan saw them as he said, "Well it certainly took you long enough."
"Sorry about that Duchess here was a bit slow driving a speeder," Titus said as Duchess said to him, "Excuse me of not wanting to crash, and we haven't saved him yet."
"Yes, no need to remind me of that," Obi-wan said as the Duchess responded to him while climbing up a ladder to the controls, "Be patience." AS Obi-wan quickly responded to that while hanging upside down, "I happen to be a bit short on patience right now."
"Then let's stop this machine already, Titus, Ava you two to find a release switch somewhere for Obi-wan, Mari kept an eye for any surprises," Ven said as everyone soon did as they were told as Titus and Ava looked around for a release control around the machine as Titus said, "Hang tight Obi."
"I'm hanging upside down if you haven't notice," Obi-wan said as while that's happen the two Death Watch members came back and saw what was happening as one said, "More Tenno!"
"And they are trying to save the jedi! Get them!" the other said as they charge at them while sending a signal to others around as a few more started to appear while Mari said, "More Death Watch coming our way!"
"Disarmed and take them down!" Zed said knowing the Duchess would be watching, it best not to give her anymore excuses about the Tenno as Mari sighed a bit as she put away her claws and pull out her pistol and start shooting out to the other Death Watch members that was coming towards them while zip lining up in the air with her Valkyr's grappler while Zed engage the two members as he drew his sword and deflect the blaster shots coming at him, unlike a lightsaber Zed pull the sword out half way while the golden blade itself stops the shot dead in their tracks.
They keep coming upon Zed as he just stood still blocking the shots with ease unlike Obi-wan who had his lightsaber shot out of his hand Zed was careful and fast with his reflexes, soon enough the two were upon Zed as he block and counter their tactics as once tries to tackle him, Zed spin around them while knocking him upside the head with the sheath of his weapon, making the Death Watch member fall down a bit rough while making a groin sound while the other guy tries to engage him with hand to hand combat, but Zed was ahead of him as he block the strike from coming before grabbing the guy's arm and putting in a lock hold.
while Obi-wan was getting closer to the machine he turned to the Duchess and said, "Satine, turn the machine off!"
"I'm trying!" she said while trying to find the right controls while Mari taking down her group of Death Watch as they came at her, she used her Paralysis ability once they got in close and stun them for a moment before using her speed to knock them all out with a few hits with the butt of her gun or a kick around their bodies taking them down fast.
The one Death Watch member Zed hit with his sword stood up with a dent in his helmet as he felt it and said, "You'll pay for that!"
zed kick the one guy he was holding away while turn his attention to the other guy as he came at Zed fast, but he was able to dodge him yet again and give him a strike across his body while sending him across the room.
"Satine!" Obi-wan yelled out as he was upon the crusher of the machine. Ava groaned to this as she quickly rushed up to the control and push the Duchess out of the way and said," Here let me!"
bringing forth her Parazon as she connected herself to the machine itself and by-pass all control as she basically commanded the machine to stop crushing rocks, as when Obi-wan was upon it, the crusher stopped dead in its tracks before Obi-wan was crush as he gave a sigh of relief.
Ava smile under her Warframe as she turned to the Duchess as she said, "Can't do that, can ya Duchess."
"Quite you!" Satine said as she hated how one of the Tenno show her up as she was about to get it, with Ava quickly found the release as the energy field around Obi-wan soon faded as he fell onto the belt before jumping off onto his feet as he said, "Thank you Ava for the save."
"Not a problem," Ava said with Ven and Mari knocking out the last of Death Watch members that was there as Ven said, "Let's secure these guys and find Akin, no telling what he is doing."
"You're not worry about him being captured?" Satine said as Mari said to her, "Please, these guys are just push overs, no way Akin got caught by these guys so easily."
"So that means he went with them voluntarily, so we need to locate him now," Titus said as Zed call out to his orbiter as he called out, "Ordis, do you have a lock on Akin's location?"
"I do operator, I'm sending the pathway coordinates," Order said as he marked Akin's location as Zed saw it as he said, "Thanks Ordis, let move."
They in turn made their way to the Elevator to start making their way out of the mines. "See Satine we don't have to kill our foes to get a victory." Mari boasted causing Satine to roll her eyes.
"You guys do know this might come back to bite us in the ass, right?" Titus asked as he looked to Zed speaking on a muted channel.
"I know but we can't afford to make enemies out of the neutral worlds especially now." Zed responded while they rode elevator upward.
"Tenno just as violent as the old ways." Satine growled a bit as Mari clenched her fist to this no doubt holding herself back from lashing out at Satine.
Just then the Elevators opened up and they were in turn met with two, armed Death Watch Members. Acting fast Titus grabbed the two by their heads and smashed them into each other. The two went wide eyed but were knocked out when Titus did this as he then dusted his hands off to this.
"This is not the way we came in." Obi-Wan said and in turn they noticed something from afar.
"Meh I wouldn't worry." Mari said as there were signs of a battle going on no doubt Akin decided to act.
"Looks like Akin is out and about." Zed said as Obi-Wan felt Anakin learned the actions of Aggressive Negotiation no matter what version of him there was. "Come on let's go help him!" Zed said and thus with a nod they got moving knowing how Akin tended to get when he's in the middle of a fight.
(Meanwhile over with Akin)
Akin was seen going to town on the Death Watch as he swung Tatsu Prime about taking out as many of them as he could. As he swung his blade Akin made sure that they made sure to stay down either by knock out or death. Akin walked about dragging the Tatsu Prime across the ground creating sparks as he did so. Just then more gun fire was heard opting to look and saw his squad joining the battle causing Akin to smirk to this.
Akin then drew Phantasma Prime and began firing the weapons off at the enemy making sure they each felt the weapons power drew from the wrath of an Eidolon. Once he did this he jumped over to his team and slammed Tatsu Prime down taking out several foes at once with this. "What took you guys so long?" Akin asked as he looked to his friends with a smirk on his face.
"We got held up by the married couple's shenanigans." Zed said showing he did NOT like Satine at all in fact none of the Tenno did. "I see you got down to aggressive negotiation." Zed added as Akin shrugged before both began firing their weapons off at the Death Watch.
"Was I that obvious?" Akin asked as the two fought together showing just how deep their brotherhood went.
"Yeap." Zed said as they began to fight their way through the Death Watch Members.
"Score!" Mari called out taking a Death Watch jetpack and putting it on her back to take back to her Orbiter.
The fighting went on for a bit longer until they took note to something. "The Hell their running!?" Akin called out as he saw the Mandalorians were getting on their ships to run away. Just then he was met Obi-Wan, and Satine arrived as they saw the Mandalorians fleeing. "Is this normal on Mandalore?" Akin asked looking to the pair.
"No not truly." Satine said as soon the Tenno and lone Jedi felt movement.
Looking to the source the group saw a Death Watch member, probably one of the leaders judging by his cape, approaching them. "Failure." The man said before shooting one of the warriors who were getting back up killing him instantly.
"Here it comes the big face reveal." Akin said which annoyed the leader who began to remove his helmet. Once his helmet was removed the leader was revealed to be none other than Pre Vizsla. "Called it." Akin said only to be elbowed by Aya who was standing next to him.
"For generations, my ancestors fought proudly as warriors against the Jedi." Vizsla began as Zed chuckled a bit. "Now that woman tarnishes the very name Mandalorian." He said but Akin sighed a bit.
"Trust me we don't like her either but your no better then she is." Akin said surprising Vizsla. "I challenged you for the right to command Death Watch because you guys are literally pushing each other towards civil war." Akin said as he then walked to the side and pointed Tatsu Prime at Vizsla. "I get it Ms. Close Minded Pacifist here is tearing down your history but at the same time you keep giving her reason to tear it down." Akin said as he then stopped for a moment to glare at his opponent. "More so I can get her reasons, after all seen the state Mandalore's surface is?" Akin asked which got some of the Death Watch members to look to each other with concern.
"The Tenno are warriors to are they not?" Vizsla asked as he looked to Akin. "If so, why use your power to protect Mandalorians were conquerors we take what we want by right of conquest." Vizsla said and in turn Akin rolled his eyes to this.
"Tell me this which is better to be feared and respected or to be loved and adored?" Akin asked as he looked to the man. "My answer is this, can't you have both?" Akin asked as he looked to Vizsla. "You might not get it, but people don't like living in fear, but they also respect strength as well." Akin said as he then chuckled a bit. "Then again I don't expect you to understand the balance of it." Akin said and thus took a battle stance. "So how about we get down to it, winner becomes the new leader of Death Watch the loser walks away in shame or dies." Akin said making it clear he was using the old ways to get Vizsla to see it.
Vizsla then drew forth a handle and ignited a black lightsaber with an ivory white edge to it as it was clearly a Lightsaber of an older design but with a curve to it. Akin whistled a bit impressed by the weapon no doubt wanting one for himself. "This Lightsaber was stolen from a Jedi Temple by my ancestors during the fall of the Old Republic." Vizsla said as Akin looked to it taking a picture for research later as did Aya. "Since then, many Jedi have died before it's blade. Prepare to have the honor of being the first Tenno to fall before its blade." Vizsla said before he charged at Akin with a roar to which he raised Tatsu Prime to block the attack.
The two began to trade blows the Orokin Gold of the weapon Akin used proving itself a rival to Beskar. Trading blows Akin knew this was a ritual-based challenge since Akin was the one to issue it. Winner walks away with the Dark Saber and leader of Death Watch the loser either gets a shallow grave dug or a lifetime of Mandalorian Shame.
Their weapon clash with sparks flaring out between them with Vizsla was giving his all to fight Akin but it seems to be easily out match by the Tenno, the skills they have learn over the many battles, the lesson they learn from Teshin before his passing, and all the powers they hold within their Warframes itself, they are called God warriors for a reason.
Akin push Vizsla back before the man went in for a hard slash, but before he could do so Akin close the gap between the both of them and grab the man's arm as he said, "Your fast but your skills are lacking."
Vizsla tries to punch him with little success as Akin dodge it before letting go of him as Vizsla try again but Akin keep on dodging his strikes before akin counter against him as he slashed at him with a heavy strike, the man blocked it with the dark saber but only to get push back by that attack that his men had to catch him.
Akin ready himself as he held up his sword with one hand and did a "Come on" wave with the other as he said to the guy, "Come on, this is hardly even a warmup for me."
Vizsla got angry as he stood back up while pushing the others off him of him as he charged at Akin again but with a spin attack, Akin avoided it with ease and kick the guy dropping both his dark saber and Obi-Wan's lightsaber that was on his belt which Zed quickly caught it in the air and handed it back to the Jedi master as he said, "I believe this is yours."
"Thank you," Obi-wan said as he took back his weapon, with Akin stood there waiting as he said to the man, "Lost your weapon? Let me make it fair then."
Akin throw his sword to the side as the blade stuck into the ground while it gave a wiggle movement, with Vizsla came at him with his fist with Akin block or dodge his strike, knowing they won't hurt him regardless he wanted to show how powerless Vizsla was compared to a Tenno.
Vizsla was getting pissed off as he kneel down a bit as it seem he was about to go for a running charge while also picking up a handful of dirt and came at Akin as it seem he was about to punch at him only for him to throw the small hand full of dirt at him, covering his vision for a moment before getting tackle hard as he skid back while keeping straight up as well as Titus said, "Seem like the guy playing dirty."
"No kidding," Mari said while Akin was wiping the dirt from his Warframe's optics, Vizsla ran for his dark saber as he grab it while igniting it again ready to fight again as he charged at Akin, he duck and roll out of the way before the man could strike him while grabbing his weapon in the process before standing up and turning back to the guy as he came at him again with their weapon clashing once more.
Vizsla jump back while activating his jetpack to fly in the air, while Akin saw this, he soon did a bullet jump into the air leaping over and strike the man back down to the ground as he groaned to that just as Akin said, "This just feel like one sided really, not any more tricks? Rocket launcher, or heavy-duty blaster of some sort?"
Vizsla gotten pissed as he gotten back up once again as he turned to Akin while pointing his dark saber at him as he said, "Warriors finish him!"
As the three Death Watch members were about to do so, Zed quickly spoken up in a loud voice as he spoken to them, "Those who intervene in this duel cannot be called a warrior!"
This made all the Death Watch members stop in their tracks surprising Vizsla by this as he wonder why are they doing as Zed step up while saying, "This duel was only one on one, and we Tenno leave it be for this honorary duel, but to those who dare come in between in fight by order or otherwise during such times cannot be called a warrior of honor. If your master cannot fight for himself in this match, then it clearly, he is not worthy of leading the Death Watch at all, let alone be called a warrior himself!"
After that, all the Death Watch member looked at each other for that, knowing what he said was true as they walk away from the area of the duel, with Satine surprise seeing the three Mandalorian step back away from their leader, looking to him and expect him to finish the duel or lose in shame as Vizsla was a bit in disbelief as he said, "Don't listen to them! I order you to kill them!"
"Hey, you accepted this duel and to its agreement, if you back away now, then my friend was right, you won't be worthy to be the leader of Death Watch," Akin said as he stood ready waiting a bit while he said, "If you cannot finish this fight, then surrender now or else."
Zed had his hand on his sword ready to draw it to cut down anyone including Vizsla himself if needed as the man clearly angry by this, he turned to face Akin, put both hands on his saber as he said, "Fine then, then I will have to cut you down where you stand!"
Soon enough they were at it again as they clash their weapons again, with Akin now putting the pressure on Vizsla due to his disrespectful nature and push him back.
It did not take long for Vizsla to realize that he was at a disadvantage here. The Tenno were winning and thus had no other choice but to act quickly. They clashed blades a few more times causing some of the warriors to grow curious as to what sort of metal the Tenno were using to match up to the Dark Saber. Pressing a few buttons on his gauntlet the leader of Death Watch fired off his jetpacks rocket and in turn Akin easily dodged. But then he looked around and saw that the rocket was not gunning for him but the others.
"Oh crap." Akin said and thus he acted fast and moved to help his friends. He then fired Phantasma Prime at it which turned out to be a direct shot which caused it to blow up. But this resulted in a chain reaction that caused the explosion to hit several barrels of volatile materials. the blasts that followed proved to be the ideal smokescreen for Vizsla to make his escape from the area. Knowing he had to act fast he fired his lasers at the three Mandalorians with him and then made his escape. The three fell most likely dead from the shots as Vizsla boarded a ship.
"Is everyone ok?" Akin asked just before boosters were heard. Looking to the source everyone saw Vizsla making his escape on a ship.
"Well, there goes our main lead to Death Watch." Titus said as he saw Vizsla made his escape from the area. "Now we can't learn anything else from him such as how far spread Death Watch really is." Titus said and thus it was clear that this mission was a bust.
"We best head back to Mandalore to drop off the Duchess." Zed said as he knew it was time to go.
"You all go on ahead... I'll catch up." Mari said looking to the wreckage of what was the Death Watch Camp. It did not take long for the Tenno to realize that Mari had a plan in the works right now.
(Scene Break the Star Forge)
The Tenno did not stay long after dropping off Obi-Wan and Satine. It was clear that they would not be able to acquire any Beskar at this time so long as Duchess Satine was in charge without stealing it. With this in mind the Tenno had returned to the base and saw that construction had been met with varying success. But that was not why they had come back as they entered a room with many Death Watch Members who were left behind.
They glared at the Tenno promising them pain, but the Tenno would not give in. "Your leader abandoned you all." Zed said as he looked to them. "One of you was shot for, 'failure,' and three of you were killed as, 'witnesses,' to his cowardly acts of fleeing." Zed said as Akin pulled up the images to show what had happened. "We rescued you all from Republic and Satine's security and thus we invoke the Mandalorian code of debts." Zed said and thus the Mandalorians were all surprised by this.
"So, what do you want?" One of them asked as Zed then sighed to this.
"You guys have two options we give you a ship with enough supplies to last you guys long enough to make enough credits on your own and you leave knowing you won't have the resources of Death Watch." Zed said as the Mandalorians heard this. "Or you can join us and have the right to truly call yourselves warriors of honor." Zed said and in turn made it clear they only get one chance at this.
"A Warriors way should be about honor not conquest without cause." Zed said as he looked to the Mandalorians. "A shield to defend your people and a sword to use against your enemies." Zed said as he looked to them all. "Mandalore is lost and so long as Satine remained, she will do all she can to erase the warrior's way." Zed said and thus sighed to himself. "Hence why you are here, you all still remember and so long as she cannot reach you, you will continue to remember and live for those no longer here." Zed said as he looked to the Death Watch Members they had basically abducted here.
"So, we leave, and we are on our own even if you give us a ship and supplies." He began considering his options. "Or we stay, and we help you Tenno and continue to live as warriors." He added considering both options on the path to take. "You saved and spared us, and we owe you all a debt in that regard... this is the way." The one said as he sounded like the leader here and thus Zed drew his sword and held it towards the warrior.
"Then welcome aboard." Zed said and thus the Mandalorian took out his blaster and tapped it against Zed's sword.
"Thank you." He said and thus the Tenno now had allies from this new clan of Mandalorian warriors.
"We'll get you guys set up in the base and give you the information on how things are run." Akin said but then made another bit clear. "But since your new you guys will be on a bit of a probation period just to make sure you're not going to stab us in the back." Akin added which was understandable for them. Thankfully, they had another side project going on that would prove to be most beneficial for them in the long run. After all they needed to remove Death Watch from the field and have a Mandalorian sect devoted as warriors to protect not kill and with this in mind Satine would lose sway as well. The Tenno were not petty, but they also sympathized with the old Mandalorians who were losing their history under Satine's rule. But until then they had to continued doing what they do to secure the future for the Origin System.
