"Owww. What happened?" Brendan asked, as he sat up, and looked around. "Wait, I remember Team Rocket kidnapping me, and then Wally came to get me, and his Pokemon used Teleport." Brendan recalled. "Wally!"
"Kts!"
"Who's there?!" Brendan shouted, looking around the dense woods.
"Kts. Kts."
"Shiftry be at the ready." Brendan said. "We aren't alone."
"Breeeee." A wild Caterpie said, wriggling by.
"Maybe I'm just tense from what's been happening." Brendan sighed.
"Shift." Shiftry said, looking off into the distance.
"What is it Shiftry?" Brendan asked.
Shiftry leapt forwards, taking the hit of an incoming Pinsir and throwing it to the ground.
"Good catch Shiftry." Brendan said. "Now use Extrasensory!"
Shiftry's nose twitched, as he lifted Pinsir into the air, spinning the bug type around.
"Now use Feint Attack!"
Shiftry leapt into the air, striking Pinsir from its suspension, sending the big type flying.
"Come on we still have to find out if Wally's here and if he's okay." Brendan said.
"Shift!" Shiftry said, pointing past some trees.
"You saw Wally that way?" Brendan asked.
"Shift." Shiftry replied.
"Then let's go!" Brendan exclaimed, rushing off.
A bit of a ways off
"Wally!" Brendan exclaimed, seeing Wally passed out with his Pokemon around him.
"Brendan?" Wally asked groggily. "What happened, where are we?"
"I was hoping you could tell me, you gave the command for teleport." Brendan reminded.
"I remember wanting to get us all out of there and to someplace safe, away from Team Rocket." Wally groaned.
"Well, I think it worked, from what I've seen there's only bug Pokemon here." Brendan commented.
"Well, let's see if we can find out where we are now. I mean we can't have gone too far, could we?" Wally asked.
"I really don't know the limits of Teleport." Brendan said. "The exact recorded distance has never been fully tested."
"Maybe we can see something from higher up." Wally said. "Another island or a town or something."
"Kts. Kts."
"Great he's back." Brendan said.
"What's back?" Wally asked.
"Pinsir." Brendan said.
"Tststststststs."
"And that would be?" Wally asked, seeing flowers and grass flying into the air in the distance.
"If I had to guess, trouble." Brendan said. "Be ready for a fight."
"Gallade be ready." Wally said, getting ready.
"Shiftry let's stop it this time. Use Feint Attack!" Brendan shouted.
Shiftry leapt forward, slicing Pinsir with one of its fans as the big type clamped its pincers on Shiftry.
"Shiftry get out of there and use Leaf Storm!"
Shiftry spun around, freeing himself before Pinsir could finish the attack, bombarding the bug type with leaves.
Pinsir rushed forward, slamming into Shiftry with the bulk of its body, sending the grass type flying with massive damage.
"Shiftry use Razor Wind!"
Shiftry flapped it's fans regaining control of its airborne body as the grass type flew back at Pinsir, knocking it out.
On the other side of the field
"Gallade use Psycho Cut!" Wally called out, as he scrambled for his Pokédex.
'Gallade, the Blade Pokemon, a psychic and…'
"Not what I need ." Wally admitted.
'Scyther, the Mantis Pokemon, a bug and flying type.'
"Still no." Wally said scrambling. "Here we are moves! Gallade use Night Slash!"
Gallade spun in places striking Scyther's scythes and sending it back a few feet.
"Uhh, use Aerial Ace!" Wally called out.
Gallade got a smirk on his face as he ducked down before rushing forward, slicing through Scyther with ease.
"Look out, it's coming back with an attack. Use Teleport!" Wally called out.
Scyther launched back down at Gallade, readying an X Scissor, only for Gallade to disappear for but a moment, ending up right above the Scyther, and striking it with his foot.
"Gallade use Psycho Cut!"
Gallade leapt off of Scyther's back, sending a psychic blast from each of his blades, causing Scyther to come crashing to the ground.
"Now, Pokeball go!" Both trainers said in unison as their opponents fell.
'Ding ding. Ding ding. Ding ding.'
"That was too close." Wally said with a sigh of relief.
"Hey at least you're figuring out your Pokédex." Brendan said. "Shiftry did you happen to see anything while you were in the air?"
"Shift." Shiftry said, pointing south.
"Think that's a good direction?" Wally asked.
"He lead me to you, so yeah." Brendan said. "Besides we're making no progress standing here."
"Can't argue with that logic." Wally said.
Outside the woods
"Wally we need to hurry!" Brendan said, seeing Team Rocket's air ship nearing the islands.
"Where?" Wally asked.
"Town! We've got reinforcements let's do this!" Brendan said. "Swampert full speed!"
"Can I just say this is a really dumb idea! Quagsire let's hurry!" Wally said, still following Brendan.
"Hahahaha!" Jessie cackled, as she blasted another building.
"Hault vile creature!" A man said.
"Vile?! Creature?! I am a beautiful woman!" Jessie said, as her arm formed into a metallic scythe, swinging at the man who made an aura construct in response.
"I won't ask again, hault this madness!" The man said, wielding an aura staff.
"Powerrrr." Jessie groaned, as dots appeared on her body before a vacuum was formed.
"What in the?" The man exclaimed as his aura construct faded.
"Swampert use Hydro Cannon!" Brendan called out.
Jessie was blasted from behind by the powerful water attack as she fell to her knees.
"Twerps!" Jessie exclaimed. "But not the one we want."
"Get out of here, get to safety!" Brendan shouted to the man, as two others in matching robes ran up to him.
"No as the last of the aura warriors of our tribe we must protect this island!" The first man said, summoning his aura staff once more.
The two beside him summoned a sword, and began floating with their respective aura powers.
"How nice of you to bring usss a snack." Jessie said, as her head turned around 180 degrees.
"Monster!" The man with the sword shouted, throwing it at Jessie only for it to be absorbed.
"We must feeed." Jessie said, as the dots on her body began blinking rapidly as the three men fell to the ground.
"Gallade use Psycho Cut!" Wally called out.
"Scutum Ambiente!" Brendan shouted, looking at his magic book.
The draining was paused as three men collapsed and Jessie was struck from behind.
"You two are getting on our nervesss." Jessie slurred, her body twisting around. "But those three were just a snack for us. You, you are a meal." Jessie said, as Brendan was frozen in place. "Your power, weee neeeed your power."
"Wally, any time!" Brendan said.
"Gallade use Psycho Cut!" Wally called out.
Gallade rushed forward, striking Jessie's metallic body to no avail as a strange energy was pulled from Brendan's body.
"Brendan!" Wally shouted, as a large mass of blue energy was ripped from Brendan's body, as he went limp.
"POWER!" Jessie's broken voice cried out, as she was actually glowing. The once light blinking dots now solid, and connected by red lines, her body now standing at a frightening size, and her eyes glowing with energy. "We mussst prepare, we neeed all the energy to succeeed." Jessie said, dropping Brendan as she went towards the next island.
"Brendan!" Wally shouted, running over to him.
"Quit shouting, I'm fine." Brendan said, shakily getting onto his feet.
"Are you sure, Jessie took something from you." Wally said.
"I don't have harnessable aura, or anything like that. What would she want?" Brendan asked.
"She kept going on about power." Wally said. "Your magic!"
"No, no that's impossible right?" Brendan asked.
"Tell it to the mummy monks and destroyed island." Wally said. "You know we have to go after her, right?"
"Yeah, let me just take a second, I'm a little light headed." Brendan said, almost falling over.
