"Hurry Wally!" Brendan said, as Swampert dove through another wave.
"Easy for you to say." Wally said, spitting up sea water. "Swampert has something to grab onto."
"Look, Jessie just took the power of three aura users, and my magic." Brendan said. "If I had to guess, she's going after the closest powerful trainer she can find."
"Are you saying what I think you're saying?" Wally asked.
"That she wants Ash to go to Seven Island, exactly." Brendan said. "Think about it, with his aura powers boosted by the Primal Force, she'd be set for life probably."
"But what about those markings she has, what do they mean?" Wally asked.
"If I had to guess, and this is just a guess, the dots are from the Regi trio. I recognize the patterns from an old book, as for the lines they look similar to the ones Ash had in Sootopolis. So I'd have to say maybe she got her hands on the blue orb and absorbed that already."
"And you really think we can take her out on our own?" Wally asked.
"No, not in the slightest, but we don't have any other options." Brendan said. "We need to try before Ash can get to her."
"If he hasn't already." Wally gulped.
On Seven Island
"James is it ready yet!" Jessie demanded.
"Finishing it up right now Jessie." James said worridley.
"Good, and once the twerp gets here, I'll feed on his power and be unstoppable." Jessie cackled.
"You mean Team Rocket, right?" Meowth asked.
"Right, of course. All for the glory of Team Rocket." Jessie said. "On the other hand, I'm more powerful than any one Pokemon now."
"Not if I have anything to say about it!" A man exclaimed.
"Really, how many people are on these islands, we chose here for a reason!" Jessie exclaimed. "James take care of this!"
"Right Jessie." James gulped. "Dusknoir let's go."
"Come on out Rapidash!"
"Dusknoir use Shadow Punch!"
"Rapidash use Fire Blast!"
Dusknoir charged forward, dissipating the Fire Blast before striking the Rapidash for massive damage.
"Rapidash use Bounce!"
"Dusknoir use Thunder Punch!"
Rapidash leapt into the air with Dusknoir fast behind it, only for the fire type to rapidly descend, taking the ghost type with it as they crashed into the ground.
"It is my duty as a former champion to stop you at all costs." The man said, pulling back his hood.
"He looks just like the twerp, cept older." Meowth exclaimed.
"Perfect." Jessie said. "We will use him to lure the son in."
"Son?" James asked. "Jessie it's a big world, its probably just a coincidence."
"Nooo, weee seee alll. This man is the father of the oneeee." Jessie groaned, as ice formed around the man.
"Pinsir use Superpower!" Brendan shouted.
Pinsir rushed forward, breaking the man out of the ice with no hesitation.
"Gallade use Teleport!" Wally called out.
In an instant Gallade was next to the man and Pinsir, and then right back next to Brendan and Wally with both of them.
"Are you okay sir?" Brendan asked.
"Yes, but who are you two?" The man asked.
"Brendan Birch, son of Professor Birch, and last seasons Hoenn Champion of the minor league, nice to meet you." Brendan said.
"Walter West, friend of Brendan." Wally said.
"You can call me Rich." The man said. "Lance informed me of Team Rocket's movements and I got here as soon as I could, and by the looks of it, I made it just in time."
"Wait Lance, you're the former champion!" Brendan exclaimed.
"Yes, and I don't think my training was enough." Rich said.
"Training means nothing, we need to take out Jessie." Brendan said. "We think she's going to try and absorb the powers of our friend."
"Any ideas on how to hit her?" Rich asked.
"I have an idea." Wally said, flexing his wrists, as his remaining four Pokemon popped out of their Pokeballs.
"Fancy, but whats your plan?" Rich asked.
"Gallade take everyone behind Jessie, Cacturne you're with me." Wally said.
"Wally." Brendan said worridley.
"Hold on, you two attack from behind. I'd never forgive myself if you two were hurt when I could take the hit." Rich said.
"But your Rapidash is in bad shape." Wally pointed out.
"She's not my only Pokemon. Raichu old friend, let's go." Rich said. "On my signal go."
"Okay." Brendan said, as Rich snuck around the rubble.
"Are we not going to address the fact that he looks exactly like Ash?" Wally asked.
"Another time." Brendan said, swiping his hands over his Pokeballs as Shiftry, Aggron, Rhyperior, and Hypno came out.
"Raichu use Volt Tackle!" Rich called out.
Raichu was surrounded in electricity as it shot forward at Jessie, slamming into her deformed body and causing her to double back.
"I think that was our cue." Brendan said.
"Gallade now!" Wally called out.
In an instant the group disappeared, before reappearing in a destroyed building a bit behind Jessie.
"There she is, let's do this. Swampert use Hydro Cannon! Shiftry use Leaf Storm! Rhyperior use Rock Blast!" Brendan called out.
"Gallade use Psycho Cut! Cacturne use Pin Missile! Flygon use Dragon Breath!" Wally called out.
The six ranged attacks launched at Jessie, causing her to fall ever so slightly.
"NEED MORE POWER!" Jessie screamed, as energy began draining from all over.
"Meowth whats happening to you?" James asked in fear.
"I don't Meow." Meowth cried out as he fell to the ground. The Pokemon given to the trio by Giovanni were loosing their will to stand as well.
"Aggron now use Double Edge!" Brendan called out.
"Quagsire use Rock Smash!" Wally shouted.
In the confusion, Aggron and Quagsire had made it to the strange machine, both slamming into it, causing it to release a large cloud of smoke before going up in flames.
"YOU TWERPS ALWAY RUINING OUR PLANS! WE NEED TO FEED AND NOW YOU DESTROY OUR SEPARATOR! WE DESTROY YOU NOW!" Jessie exclaimed.
"Raichu get her attention with a Thunderbolt! Nidoking use Sludge Bomb!" Rich called out.
The two attacks did little but ping off of Jessie's body as she turned, launching a chunk of the island at him.
"Gallade save him!" Wally called out in fear.
Gallade disappeared for a moment as the island crashed around their one ally. Gallade came back empty handed.
"Nooo!" Brendan shouted. "Pinsir use Guillotine!"
Pinsir leapt forward slamming it's two horns around one of Jessie's arms, before slicing right through it, causing both to fall to the ground.
"GRAHHH!" Jessie exclaimed, as a strange blue gel came out of the remainder of her arm, reconnecting the two pieces. "DIDN'T YOUR MOTHERS EVER TO TEACH YOU NOT TO HIT A LADY!"
"Lady? I don't know what you are, but it's no lady." Brendan joked, as he dodged a beam fired at him. "Okay, taunting is a bad idea. Got any others?"
"We've fired our strongest attacks at her, and nothing has worked. I don't think there are any more options." Wally said, as explosions went off behind them. "Let's at least not die hiding."
"I think I liked it when you were the sensible one and had the fear to run away." Brendan said.
"It's because of you that I'm like this." Wally said, as the two stood up, as a series of cries was heard coming closer.
