I have compiled a entire list of the Hisuian 'pantheon.' Of course, the Hisuians were fiercely monotheistic, but they had long attributed religious undertones to various legendary Pokémon. From what we can glean of it, these so-called 'elohim' were spirits that descended to Earth in the Elder Days or earlier, and assumed the forms of Pokémon. I am quite intrigued by the description of the entity known as the 'Evil Djinn.' Look through this, sincerly,

-Professor Rowan.

Rayquaza: He was appointed, in the mind of Arceus, to be the brother of the Evil Djinn, and the ruler of the Airs. In Earth his delight is in the winds and the clouds, and in all the regions of the sky, from the heights to the depths, from the utmost border of the atmosphere to the breezes that blow in the grass. Lord of the Breath of Earth, he commands strong birds that come and go at his bidding.

When the Firstborn awoke, some of them saw Rayquaza's might and wished to be as him, and soar through the Airs. From that day, many Pokémon have flown into the heights to inmite the birds that fly in the vast sky.

Groudon: Groudon has might equal to Kyogre. His lordship is over the Deeps of Earth and the substances of which the Earth is made. In the beginning he wrought much, for he is a smith and master of all crafts, and he delights in works of skill, however small, from the rearing of a mountain to the formation of a running brook. His are the gems that lie deep in the Earth and the gold and silver that is fair to the eye, no less than the mountains and great fire-hills.

When the Firstborn awoke, many saw his lordship and wished to imitate his splendour. They ever after dwelt in the ground, with some Pokémon delving ever deeper and becoming as of rock and stone.

Kyogre: He is alone. He dwells nowhere long, but moves as he will in all the deep waters which he has mastery over. He is next in might to Groudon. He keeps the doings of the Children of Arceus ever in his thought, and he has no need of any resting place except for times of long slumber. When the Followers awoke, Kyogre spoke to them in the streams and flows of water, yet they did not understand his messages, yet ever after Men loved water, and did not understand why.

The Firstborn perceived his words, and some went into the deeps of the sea to become the Ulumuri, the Water-types.

Celebi: Celebi is the Doomswoman of Arceus. She is the keeper of the Fates of Earth, and forgets nothing save what is reserved to the Mind of Arceus. She pronounces Dooms only at the bidding of Arceus, and with great reluctance, for she is not vengeful or delights in judgement or the knowledge of the eras, save only to further the will of the Original One.

Jirachi: He has might little less than Celebi. When the Enemy descended into the Earth in a tempest of fire and wrath, Celebi consulted with the Mind of Arceus.

"If all is lost for the Children, and there remains no other option for the Firstborn or the Followers to end the dark power of Mbelekoro outside of the actions of the Powers, than what may be done? For was it not appointed that it would be the Son of Man to crush the Black Foe, and not the elohim that dwell in Deep Heaven?"

"Let the hopeless be given hope!" Arceus answered. "I shall craft a elohim of such majesty and authority, ere as it was seen in Deep Heaven in the Depths of Time, that the Children shall amend the Evil to a suffered extent, and once a period of one thousand years hath passed, Jirachi, who is named the Giver, shall awake for the hope of the Children."

And thus was Jirachi made.

Solgaleo: The Lord of Light, he delights in the brightness of the Sun, and rides no steed, for he can outrun any living thing that go on feet, and he is tireless. His mane is white and golden, and his flesh pale and ruddy, his weapons are his jaws. He has little heed for the Enemy, and gives no mercy to him. He is of no avail of counsel, but is a hardy friend. His spouse is Lunala, the Lady of Night, who had mastery over the Moon and Stars, and kindled them in the Deeps of Time, one of the greatest labours ever undertaken by the Powers.

Xerneas: Xerneas is a mighty lord, and a spirit of great hardihood. If he is less strong than Rayquaza, he is more jovial in anger, and he laughs ever when contending with Yveltal. Even in the face of the Evil Djinn he laughed in battles in Deep Heaven before the Earth was forged. He loves the lands of Earth, and is a hunter of fell beasts and monsters, broodlings of the Enemy. If he is slow to wrath, he is yet fearsome in battle, and may still give life. The Valaroma is the name of his horns, the shining of which is the setting of the sun in rainbow hues, or the sheer lightning cleaving the clouds.

Zygarde: Zygarde is the spouse of Groudon in the mind of Arceus. She is Giver of Fruits and the Lady of the Earth. She is the lover of all things that grow in the Earth, and in her mind she holds all their countless forms, from trees and small flowers in great forests long ago, to the moss upon stones. She is slow to wrath, but terrible in battle, and Yveltal hates her more than Xerneas, and fears her as well. She restrains Xerneas in his anger, for he is not mindful to what devastation may be caused by his great battles with the Lord of Decay.

When she first heard of the coming of the Followers from Arceus, she grew in fear, for she knew that Men would have need of food and lumber, and would cut the forests with their armaments. She pleaded with Groudon, saying that she wished for the Firstborn to be arrianged in such a way that they should fight to protect the fields and forests.

Arceus granted such a plea once Groudon appealed, and from then on many Pokémon became the Olvaruni, the Grass-types. "Now," Zygarde said."The Followers will not wantonly hew the things of the Earth, and woe to he who does not take caution when felling a tree or slay a beast of the wild!"

"Nevertheless," Groudon said. "They shall have need of wood." Then he returned to his labours.

Palkia: Greatest in strength or deeds is Palkia, named Astaldo, the Master of Space. Ever by his unceasing vigilance is the Fabric of What Is held in place, and his weapon is a great blade, Ringlo, the War-cleaver of Arceus. He takes the likeness of a warrior clad in Pearl, and is ever friendly to those who make use of the space available to them. He is as terrible as a advancing mountain of hewn rock, with helm crowned in light, and a mantle of armor as shining as the Pearls of Kyogre. He scores the expanses of Space for the servants of the Enemy

Dialga: Dialga is the Master of Time, and is grimmer than Palkia, both in mannerisms and wrath. He wields the Spear Angrist, before which none may stand. He safeguards the Abyss and the Deeps of Time, yet has less knowledge of it than Celebi, and has lesser authority to act upon what he may know. He has much heed for the past and future, and is the Counselor of the Powers. He appears in the raiment of a mighty lord clad in armor of Diamond, and those who mind their idleness are ever in his favor.

Regigigas: He is a craftsman second only to Groudon. The fashioning and shaping of all lands along with Groudon was his labour, in the beginning. He grows weary of repairing the Harms that the Enemy has done to the Earth, and suffers to mend the tulmults and disorders of the Evil Djinn.

In a time, Regigigas crafted the Titans within his smithy, desiring to have children of his own. Yet they had no life, and only acted when the Will of Regigigas was on them, and were dead.

Arceus perceived this, and said: "Why doth thou with to create thy own Children, with the foreknowledge that without the Flame of Creation, with resides only within me, they are as dumb beasts? I essay thee to smite thy creations with thy hammer, as I hath not allowed the Titans to be of What Is."

Regigigas raised his great hammer as he wept, and bade to destroy the Titans. Yet they shrank from his blow, and pled for peace and pardon.

"Do not harm thee Children!" Said Arceus. "Since thou hath desired Love, I breath my Flame of Creation into the lungs of the Titans, so that they may know life. Yet I shall not suffer them to walk the Earth unless in times of most dire need, when the Children have much desire to prevent the wiles of Mbelekoro."

And so Regigigas shut his Titans away in the deeps places of the Earth.

Ho-Oh: He is the Lord of Many Colors. Never has such brilliance been revealed in any but Arceus Himself. Too great is his beauty to be fully declared in the speech of Pokémon or Men, for the Light of Arceus still dwells in his feathers. Little is told of his deeds, and he and his spouse Lugia seldom take part in the actions of the Powers. They dwell in the peaks of cliffs, and the basins by the sea.

Cresselia: She is the mistress of dreams and visions. Bright is her raiment, and rest is her gift. From the blessing of her all those who pay homage to Arceus find refreshment, and often the Powers themselves come to her, and find repose and easing of the Burden of the war against the Enemy.

Of the Others:

Many spirits of lesser stature exist, and they are known to the Hisuians as the Ilmare, the Minor Ones.

Manaphy is a vassal of Kyogre. He is the master of the seas that wash by the shores of the Earth, but loves the coasts and isles, and rejoices in the winds of Rayquaza, for in storm he delights, and laughs amid the roaring of the waves. His spouse in Phione, the Lady of the Seas, whose body spreads through all the waters under the sky. The Enemy ever hated the Sea, for he could not subdue it for the constant vigilance of Manaphy.

Of The Swords of Justice, much is told. They love all of the Firstborn, and pass swift judgement down upon the Followers. In early days they took pity in the suffering of all, and were some of most fearsome foes of the Dark Powers. Wisest of all the Ilmare was Cobalion, Master of Iron Will, and he taught many the arts of pity and patience.

Heatran: He is a vassal of Groudon. It is said that the Enemy, desiring to have dominion over the Earth, endeavored to draw Heatran to his allegiance, to which he remained faithful. So long ago it was that there arose great tumults in the Earth that wrought ruin to the ands. But Rayquaza, at the Will of Groudon, restrained Heatran and brought him to Arceus, and he was pardoned and returned to his former allegiance, to which he has remained faithful. Yet he is not suffered to step out of the bounds of a little lands, and Stark Mountain is his abode.

Meloetta: Meloetta was the name of a elohim that walked among the Firstborn, tending the forests of the Earth with her songs, and healing the marring of Mbelekoro in the woodlands. Nightingales sang about her wherever she went, and her songs are of such surpassing strength and beauty that Darkrai was subdued for a time, in fear of her music

Many other spirits of great concern follow, but the writing is mostly illegible in the text, especially around Zekrom and Reshiram. Mew appears to not be mentioned. The following section is wholly intact, although it appears to have been written at a later date.

Of the Enemies:

Giratina: Only the Lord of Antimatter has strength comparable to the Black Foe. He is the Prince and Power of the Other Side of the World, and is constrained there by the mercy of Arceus. He is the most bitter for of Dialga and Palkia, and he thinks of other things than their defeat seldom. He was only less evil than his master in that he served another and not himself, but after years of service he was a ghost of his former malice, and walked the same ruinous path as his Master into the Void. Still, he is not beyond the mercy of Arceus, and only his own folly prevents him from pardon.

Darkrai: He is the least of the Four Enemies. He is the master of terror and illusions, and one of the greatest of the elohim drawn to the splendor of the Evil Djinn in the days of his full greatness, and remained in that allegiance for a time. Won to the service of the Enemy by lies and treacherous gifts, long Darkrai presided over the land of Nuria. Cresselia is mightier than him, and may put him into a state of dreamless slumber, a brief respite from his tormented bondage. He hates the Black Foe as he hates most things, yet cannot escape his own folly and endless webs of entrapment and allegiance to the Dark Power.

Yveltal: Gloomweaver, Lord of Decay, Oblivionare, Master of Destruction, Yveltal is neither Lord or Lady. It loves itself and hates itself, and descended out of the Void in the Deeps of Time, and lived in the servitude of the Enemy for a season. But it disowned its master, being only the slave of its own lust, and it is the Commander of the Darkness that lies in the Deeps of Space. It hungered for Light and hated it, and only loved destruction. Xerneas and Zygarde are its most hated foes, hating only the Original One to a greater degree. What shall become of Yveltal, none can tell. But the Wise say, that in its everlasting hunger, it shall finally devour itself.

Of the Evil Djinn:

Mbelekoro, the Evil Djinn, began with the desire for Light, but in his splendor he fell to arrogance to contempt for all things save himself, a spirit horrific and pitiless. He could tolerate the existence of other life, but only if they were under his complete dominion, and he hated them nonetheless. When he could not possess the Light for himself alone, he descended into Darkness. And darkness he used most in his evil works, and filled it with fear for all living things.

Originally, his power was equal to Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina at the height of their power, and even greater in cunning or efficiency. But he turned his abundant gifts to tools for evil purposes, and squandered his natural strength in darkness and tyranny. For he coveted the World and all that was in it, desiring the lordship of Arceus and to exult himself over his peers. And thus he was named the Mbelekoro.

His wisdom and understanding he would turn to subtly and treachery, and developed a great skill in perverting to his own will all that he used, until he became a liar without shame, effortlessly lying to even himself. To others he would weave webs of dread and deceit, and spoke so softly and eloquently that one who heard him would think that they had thought whatever lie he had told them of their own accord.

Before his great imprisonment, he had convinced himself that the Powers had deserted the Earth, being content in their own bliss and security. This was false, and it led to his own downfall. Although the Evil Djinn could not be daunted by righteousness or the spoken word of Arceus, yet he could not endure to be mocked. For the Devil, that proud spirit, if he is not repelled by the Holy Word, cannot suffer to be insulted.

And yet he remains beyond redemption, and is still unvaliant. Whether the future holds another part for the Black Foe to play, only the Powers see.

I found this moldering at the bottom of a old Rorian archive. Cypress let me take a look at it, but some parts of it he kept for himself under the grounds of the Treaty of Terramist. The prick. Anyway, it seems to be related to the 'Evil Djinn.' -Roxanne

-and Men and Pokémon had been deceived by the Mbelekoro, and life was forever (?fleeting?) And Yveltal Gloomweaver consumed the Two Trees of Life and Knowledge of Good and Evil, and it grew to such a monstrous size that the Mbelekoro began to become afraid. And their radiance was lost forever, and only the Sun and Moon still retain a memory of their holy light. And Yveltal and the Terrible Foe fled to the southern wastes-

Not sure what this is. Could be related to this:

And Yveltal Gloomweaver and the Mbelekoro came to rest in the South, for the Powers could not find them and exact revenge. And Yveltal said to the Mbelekoro thus: "Blackheart, I have done thee bidding! Now give me what thou promised!" And the Mbelekoro said: "Doest thou desire the whole world for thy belly? Nay, for I cannot seize light and give it to thou as a meal, and the Sun and Moon are yet to be crafted, and even they are Imperfect, for thou hath tainted the Light that they shall bear."

Then Yveltal entrapped the Mbelekoro with its pillars of stone, for it wished for him to give the Gloomweaver all the light of the Sun. And the Mbelekoro screamed such a scream that the Earth was sorely shaken, and demons that had long hidden themselves at the Roots of the Earth came with whips of fire and shade, and Yveltal quailed, and was driven to the Uttermost West of Kalosi Togarmah in the Land of the Rumhoth.

Something about a Hisuian fall legend. Judging from oral tradition, the Evil Djinn basically made the Duo of Destruction with Yveltal and taught Men and Pokémon about Good and Evil, and then destroyed the Two Trees in Beulah. The Sun and Moon were made with Solgaleo and Lunala's tears upon the hills that the Two Trees stood upon. Very similar to the Logarian myth of the Fall, but it may have had Hisuian influence. -Blaine

-Had anyone noticed this? Looks like it relate to the Evil Djinn at the End of the World, or Dagor Dagorath. Yes, I read Cypress' other letter. Strangely, I found this at a Draconid ruin in Hoenn, near the Grand Meteor Delta warning site. -Steven Stone

And when the world grows old and the Powers weary, the Dread Foe Mbelekoro shall escape his Prison again, and march with all his hordes and wicked dead to Beulah, where the Last Battle shall be decided upon the very plains of Paradise. And Rayquaza and Groudon shall smite him down, and Rei Berlitz will drive a sword through the heart of the Mbelekoro, and his life will depart from the world for ever. Yveltal Gloomweaver and Xerneas Valaroma will slay each other, and Giratina has a fate unknown, for the Dooms of Celebi have not concerned his allegiance in the Last Battle. And then a Second Great Dance shall begin-

I found another copy of this, but it has a change. Rei Berlitz doesn't kill the Evil Djinn, it's Kyogre. This may be a early draft of the War of Wrath, which may or may not have happened in some form. More findings will shed light on this. -Sycamore
