"Ed, wait!" Winry yelled. It was raining quite heavily and the gusts of wind were really strong in Risembool today. She didn't want them to go just yet, especially with this terrible weather going on, but they had to or else they'd miss the train and would have to wait another three days or so until the next one. She hated this; the pain in her heart just gradually grew each time she watched them leave, and it only got worse and worse. She never really thought about it until now, but what really hurt her, is watching Ed leave. Ever since the incident with Scar, she's been more observant of him and noticed that he's grown up so much, and he's so much more mature about handling things now. That's when she realized that she fell for him, something she thought would never happen, but it did and now she certainly didn't want to lose him.

"Ed!" Winry shouted again, this time running to him. Her throat was sore from yelling at him earlier for breaking his automail, so she couldn't yell loud enough for him to hear. When she finally reached him she threw arms around his neck and nuzzled her head in his hair, trying to muffle her sobs. Ed knew perfectly who it was but didn't bother turning his head. He hated to see her cry, especially if he caused it, and he really didn't want to make her cry anymore so he just stood there, thinking of what to do.

"I-I don't want you to go, Ed. I really don't," She whispered, her breath tickling his neck. He shivered and his cheeks were starting to heat up a bit. He opened his mouth to say something, but then closed it again and simply smiled. He turned around, keeping the smile on his face, and Winry pounced on him, hugging him tightly. She buried her face into his chest and cried even more. Ed returned the hug and looked up at the sky, sighing heavily.

"Winry, don't cry. You know I hate seeing you like this," He said. Winry remained silent for a while, trying to stop her crying a little bit so she could look at Ed without bursting into tears. She doesn't like crying either, but she couldn't help it. She cared for him so much.

"Well I hate seeing you have to go," She muttered. Ed chuckled and leaned in, placing his forehead on top of hers. Winry blushed.

"I know. Al and I don't like doing this either, but we have to, so we get things back to normal. You understand, don't you?" Winry closed her eyes and let more tears fall down her cheeks, slowly nodding.

"Look, once we get the stone and everything settles down, we'll come back and stay with you." She looked up at him and slightly smiled, eyes shining bright with hope. "Really? You will?" He lightly chuckled and leaned in further, closing his eyes.

"Yes. I will," He breathed. When their lips met, Winry fluttered her eyes shut and shyly wrapped her arms around his neck. They stayed like that while they shared a kiss in the rain, never letting go of each other. This was surely a day Winry nor Ed would ever forget.
