Welcome to the Ben 10 story done in the style of the DC Injustice, Reflected Scars. Obviously, this is not going to follow the canon of the TV series, though all of the characters will be from one or more of the series. In Reflected Scars there will be villains that will be heroes, heroes that are villains, villains that remain villains, and heroes that remain heroes.
This story will not be an official Bwen story. By this, I mean that there won't be any obvert romance between the two. However, in the "Injustice" universe, Ben will have died, and Gwen will be rather possessive upon seeing Ben. Whether this is romantic or platonic will be up to the reader's preference. I don't plan on taking a side with this story.
My intention, unlike with The Ultra 10 Chronicles, is to post every other Monday, and the occasional Thursday. So be expecting updates starting this coming Monday, and every other week from then on!
This fiction is rated T for violence, death and the occasional mild language. Wanting to play it safe in the world of FanFiction, I do not entirely know if it is deserving of the T rating, and may change it to an M rating if I think it needs to change. The way I see it, its better to play it safe, than to be sorry I didn't!
I am very open to criticism, both good and bad, as it helps me improve and grow as a writer. My main series is The Ultra 10 Chronicles. If you haven't read Volume 1: The Beginning of Ultra 10, I highly recommend that you read that before reading Volume 2: A Hero Earth Needs, or the spin-off origin story Neb & Newg: The Heroes That Fell. The stories pick up right where the last ones leave off. However, Reflected Scars is not associated with The Ultra 10 Chronicles, so there is no need to read them to get this story.
This is an alternate universe of the Ben 10 TV show, in which Ben finds the Omnitrix after his summer road trip with his Grandpa Max, and cousin Gwen. He decides to become a superhero in order to fight crime and help people. Ben, a normal ten-year-old boy returns from spending all summer with his Grandpa Max and cousin Gwen. Upon returning home, he finds an alien watch, which allows him to change his form into one of 10 aliens, which he uses to fight crime under the alias Ultra 10. His friends Lukas, Julie, Cooper and Sam eventually join him as he fights his battles as Team Ultra. He also fights alongside Lucky Girl, who is Gwen, unknown to either of them.
Ben goes up against the villainous sorcerer Hex, the mad scientist Doctor Animo, the vampire Vlad Sclzensk, the alien warlord Vilgax, and the shape-shifting Alex Animal, a villain of his own making. Meanwhile, Lucky Girl discovers her magical abilities and builds her own team. All the while, a secretive government organization, known as the PLUMMERs, tasked with protecting the Earth from alien and magical threats, appear and occasionally help Ben, occasionally hindering him too. He confronts enemies from the TV show, such as Dr. Animo, Vilgax and others, as well as enemies new to The Ultra 10 Chronicles, such as Alex Animal, Neb, Vlad Sclzensk and others! Some classic villains, such as Zombozo, have gotten origin stories, while others have their origins a mystery!
Currently, I have written two volumes, Volume 1: The Beginning of Ultra 10, and Volume 2: A Hero Earth Needs, as well as a spin-off origin story for two villains Ben faces, Neb and Newg called The Heroes That Fell. I am planning on writing three additional volumes for The Ultra 10 Chronicles, for a total of six volumes, with possibly more spin-offs in the future!
In addition to The Ultra 10 Chronicles, there is at least one alternate universe story being written by another author, which is going to be an official part of the Ultra 10-verse. The U10-verse is expanding, and is very open to alternate timelines, alternate universes, side stories and the likes, so if you are interested in co-writing a chapter, or adding a side story, message me!
