A/N: Hello. Going straight to business, enjoy this little update that I bring you today. Thanks.

OOOOOOOOOOOOO

Scarlet sat in a wheelchair outside, looking irritated. She wouldn't have been so irritated if her goddamn sister would leave her the fuck alone. Because for the past hour and a half, Addison had been rambling about things she'd heard about Scarlet.

"Does it look like I want to talk about it?" Scarlet demanded when Addison brought up the attack by Pyro. "Because if you haven't noticed, Aqua, I've been plotting your murder since you opened your big mouth."

Addison blinked. "But aren't you worried now that your secret is out? Because for once, I didn't do it. Pyro found out on his own. And if he escapes, he's going to want revenge."

"Pyro can go suck a fucking egg up his ass and barf up a chicken," Scarlet muttered, crossing her arms. "I could care less if he escapes."

"I'm just saying if he does, you're in trouble."

Scarlet rolled her eyes. "Because I'm stuck in this thing for the moment? Please. I could take Pyro down with my pinky if I wanted to."

Addison cocked her blonde head to the side. "Then why haven't you?"

The copy mutant narrowed her eyes at her sister. "Fuck you."

Addison shook her head and offered a tiny smirk. "Sorry. Have a fiancé for that." She leaned forward on one elbow. "So, tell me, little sis. Who's the guy?"

"What are you going on about now?" Scarlet asked wearily.

"You know, the guy. The one that you've been sleeping in the same room as. There's a rumor going around that you're sneaking into a guy's room and spending the night there every now and then."

Scarlet rolled her eyes. I'm going to murder my roommates. No one will find their bodies. Heads, maybe. But not their bodies.

"There is no guy. I don't spend the night in guys' rooms, Aqua." Scarlet folded her arms across her chest. "You know I can't stand to be touched and that's all that guys do."

"Then where do you go at night when you're not in your room?"

"Why does it matter?"

"I'm curious."

"Go be curious somewhere else. I'm not doing anything when I'm not in that room filled with estrogen and happiness. You may be able to endure giggles and shit, but I can't stand to be in a room filled with gossip and teenage vibes." Scarlet shuddered. "Gives me the willies."

It was Addison's turn to roll her eyes. "Like it's that horrible to live with people your own age. You're a teenager, Maria."

"Doesn't feel like it."

"Well, you are. And you're stuck in that room until another one becomes available." Addison glanced around them and then back at Scarlet. "I heard another rumor too."

Scarlet groaned. "You and your stupid rumors. No wonder no one talks to you."

A look of annoyance flashed over Addison's face. "You don't have to be so rude."

"Sorry not sorry. It's in my nature to be a bitch. Especially to family members that had the perfect life because hey, Daddy loved them and not me." Scarlet picked at a spot on her shirt. "I wonder how our half siblings are doing. Dad sure loved them."

"Don't go there, Maria. Dad made mistakes."

"You're looking at one of them," Scarlet muttered, glaring at her hand. "I'm looking at another."

"If you were such a mistake, why are people trying to help you get control of your powers? Why is everyone putting so much effort into making sure you're okay and making it through the trauma?" Addison leaned forward more. "Why is Logan trying to show you his heart?"

Scarlet's world turned black and white for a moment. There was no way that Addison could know what had been going on between her and Logan. No one could have known but the professor and Jean. Well, maybe Scooter too because Jean probably told that jerk everything, but hopefully he didn't blab. Scarlet glared at her sister and pointed a finger at her.

"Nothing is going on between me and any adult in this school," she ground out slowly. "Chuck put Logan on baby sitting duty for me and all I'm doing is getting lessons on how to kick his ass in 300 different ways. That's it." She let out a growl and looked away. "God, what kind of idiot do you take me for? I'm sixteen, he's who knows how old? That's illegal on so many levels."

"The law has never stopped you from doing something before," Addison pointed out, watching her with iridescent blue eyes. "And I have noticed the way that you interact with him. The way that he looks at you. Sis, you've got to tell me if something is happening between the two of you."

"I don't have to tell you shit because there's nothing to tell," Scarlet lied, glaring at her. "I'm a student. He's a fucking reluctant teacher. Don't you think he'd rather be chasing Red's skirts than going after a bitchy teenager? Think, you dumb blonde."

"Like I said," Addison commented, shrugging a shoulder. "Rude."

Scarlet rolled her eyes and looked out at the common grounds. I could really use a drink right now.

OOOOOOOOOOOO

Logan was working on his motorcycle in the garages when a familiar scent wafted to him from the open doors. He growled and tightened his hand into a fist, ready to strike if need be.

"Relax James," Viktor's voice said from across from him. "If I came to fight, you'd be further on the ground than you are now with my hand around your throat."

"Viktor, good to see things never change," Logan muttered, casting the mutant a look. "Why are you here?"

"Thought I'd make myself at home with all the little pipsqueaks and their puny adult counterparts," Viktor declared with a smirk. "The old man let me have a place to stay here. Probably going a bit senile. I would watch him if I were you."

"Thank God you're not," Logan said, throwing aside his tools as he stood up. "And I'm going to give you one warning. Step a toe out of line with any of these kids, I'll make you regret it."

Viktor rolled his eyes. "I'm shaking in my boots."

Logan would have said something else, but he caught the scent of Scarlet. She rolled into the garage and popped a wheelie on her wheelchair. A smirk was on her face.

"I'm getting the hang of it," she announced, looking triumphant. "Not that I'm going to be in here long. So ha!" She rocked back and forth. "I'm so kicking your ass in a couple of days."

"Who's the pistol?" Viktor asked, glancing between Logan and Scarlet.

"Maria," Logan said, looking at her. "Shouldn't you be in class?"

"Hell no," Scarlet told him, shaking her head. "It's the weekend, you muscle bound idiot."

"With your group of kids, Maria," Logan prompted, wanting her to be away from Viktor.

"Oh." Scarlet looked thoughtful for a moment. "Class was cancelled." She spun her chair around and looked at Viktor. "Hi. You look familiar." She tilted her head to the side. "Have we fought before?"

"I'm sure we have," Viktor said, smirking at her. "Used to be on old man Magneto's crew."

Scarlet rolled her eyes. "Okay. Now I have a solid reason not to like you." She looked back at Logan. "Can I kill him?"

"Do you know how to do it without using your powers or getting out of that chair?" Logan challenged, crossing his arms over his chest.

The girl lifted a finger and opened her mouth to say something. Logan gave her a look, waiting. She lowered her finger and frowned.

"I hate you," she grumbled, crossing her arms. She glowered at the floor for a moment. "You kill him."

Viktor chuckled. "He's tried that several times, sweetheart. Failed every single time."

"You're a hard man to kill, Viktor," Logan said, giving Viktor a warning look. I know what game you're playing, asshole.

"As are you," Viktor said, giving him an even warning look. "But I could do it if I wanted to."

Logan growled.

"So why haven't one of you stupid Alphas taken the other out if you're so manly and tough?" Scarlet demanded, looking between them. "Maybe because you're secretly in love with each other and can't bear to see the other one go?" She snickered at the looks on their faces. "Bromance from the past."

Viktor pointed at Scarlet. "Quite a mouth on this one, eh?"

"Everyone is trying to tame that about her," Logan stated, looking down at Scarlet. "No one has been successful. Not even me."

Scarlet smirked at him and popped another wheelie. "What do you say we take this to the Danger Room? Make some chaos."

Logan pointed at her. "You're not supposed to go anywhere near the Danger Room until you're all healed up, Maria. And that's after you get Chuck's and my approval. So forget it. Go do your group session with the munchkins. And stay out of trouble."

Scarlet made a face. "Spoil all my fun, why don't you?" She glanced at Viktor as she turned her chair. "See what I have to deal with?"

"He's always been the downer of a good time," Viktor told her, shaking his head.

"Yeah, I can see that," Scarlet said before pointing at the mutant. "I've got my eye on you. Don't make lasers come out of it."

She made one last vague gesture before rolling out of the garages and back into the sunlight. Logan shook his head and looked at Viktor. He didn't like what he saw.

"You've got feelings for that little minx," Viktor commented, smirking devilishly. "My, my, James. Aren't you a naughty boy? Playing with the kiddies and breaking hearts."

Logan pointed at Viktor. "Drop it. Nothing is happening between me and Maria. She's a student and I'm whatever Chuck needs me to be for these kids. Leave it at that, you overgrown housecat."

Viktor growled. "Then you won't mind if I cut in."

Logan had his fist wrapped in Viktor's wifebeater and his teeth bared before he realized it. "You stay away from her. She doesn't need you in her life and I swear to God if I find out you did anything to her, you're going to regret stepping foot on these grounds."

Viktor's eyes challenged him, but he held his hands up in surrender. "Calm yourself, James. I wouldn't go after a girl that's still in her leading strings." He grinned when Logan let him go. "Give her a few more years, then let her decide who she chooses."

Logan's eyes darkened, but he walked away from Viktor before he did something that he'd regret.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Scarlet had been ordered to spend the night with Logan again – there was even a message on her phone telling her to do so, one that she deleted immediately. She hated to admit that she didn't mind spending nights in his room. She certainly got more sleep that way. And it was cozy. But she didn't like the thought that she was falling for him. There was no way that could be happening.

I'll take a nap, Scarlet thought, gliding silently down the hall in wheelchair. Maybe the more I sleep, the faster my body will heal and I can get back to living life the way I want to. Yeah.

The girl paused outside the door to Logan's room and looked around her. The coast was clear. She took a deep breath and phased through the door.

Sitting on the bed, Logan was pumping his fist around his…

"Oops," Scarlet said, staring.
