Normal POV

The teenagers stop after they hear Tracy's books hit the floor. Olive fixes her hair. She turns around to face her. Tracy is tempted to use some of her karate skills to beat the snot out of her. She knows that wasn't the right way to use her skills.

"Hey new girl, I'm Olive. Have you met my new boyfriend?" Olive asks.

"First of all Olive, I have a name, it's Tracy. Second, Mike isn't your boyfriend." Tracy says.

"Yes, he is. Mike kissed me after all." Olive argues.

"I know Mike better than you. Olive, you kissed him. I should say that you tried to eat his face." Tracy snaps.

Olive rolls her eyes and leaves. She stays close enough to hear Tracy and Mike's conversation. Mike pushes himself off the wall. He slowly walks over to her. He picks up her books and hands them to her. Tracy doesn't say thank you.

"Mike, you said that you would have my back. How could you let some random girl make out with you?" Tracy asks.

"Tracy, angel, please let me explain. We were talking about our project for Anatomy and Physiology class." Mike answers.

"Let me guess you started talking about the project. Then it turned in practicing a new form of CPR." Tracy snaps.

A few tears start to roll down Tracy's cheeks. She sees Mike about to use his right hand to dry her tears and swats his hand away.

"Mike, don't touch me. I'm never talking to you again." Tracy says through her tears.

She turns around and runs to her locker. Mike calls after her. Olive walks up and sets her head on his shoulder.

"Forget about her Mike. I don't know what you see in that girl. Come on we need to head to Economics. Mr. Schultz is a great teacher. He hates it when his students are late." Olive says.

Mike pushes her head off his shoulder. He tells Olive to go ahead. She links her arm around his. He pushes her off again, then he heads to his locker. The warning bell rings a few minutes later.
He heads to class.

Meanwhile, Tracy finds Mrs. Acevedo's classroom. She walks inside and finds an empty desk in the back of the room. She sits down and hears the bell ring again. Back in Mr. Schultz's class Mike is sitting in the third desk in the second row from the window.

"Alright, class today we're starting our unit on financial markets," Mr. Schultz says.

The class takes out their notebooks. A few minutes later Mr. Schultz starts his lecture. Mike tries to stay focused on what Mr. Schultz is saying, but the only thing on his mind is Tracy.

A couple of hours later the bell rings again, signaling the end of their third hour class. Tracy leaves Mr. Rowland's Sociology class. They started going over the chapter on culture. She finds it very interesting when she isn't thinking about Mike and Enrique. Meanwhile, Mike leaves Mr. Knight's government class. He is thinking about Tracy and Olive. He knew that Olive is jealous of Tracy. He slowly walks to his locker.

Back on the ground floor Tracy gets to her locker. She puts her books away and heads to the cafeteria. Enrique walks up behind her. He places his hand on her shoulder. Tracy's karate instincts activate. She quickly grabs hold of his wrist. The next thing Enrique knows he is on his back with a scared look on his face.

"Wow, it looks like my beautiful princess knows karate." He says.

Tracy apologizes as she let's go of his wrist. She helps him back to his feet and Enrique apologise for sneaking up on her. Tracy tries to keep a straight face and not burst out laughing.

"What's wrong?" He asks.

"Nothing, but you looked so scared," Tracy says holding back a snicker.

"I wasn't scared." He whines.

A ray of the sun hits her two seconds later. He gets lost in Tracy's eyes as they sparkle in the sunlight. Tracy tries not to blush as Enrique tells her how he loves the way her dazzling blue eyes look now. A few seconds later she starts to blush and smile like a cheerleader.

"You look even cuter when you blush. You have a beautiful smile too." Enrique says.

Tracy thanks him. After the sun goes behind a cloud and the light disappears, they continue their walk to the cafeteria. Jason and the others walk up to them as they enter the room.

" Kimberly, I still need some advice. Can we talk privately?" Tracy says.

Tracy's POV

Kimberly nods.

"I'll save a spot for her in line," Enrique says.

"Thanks," I say.

They walk over to the lunch line.

"Enrique is the boy you were trying to tell me about earlier, right?" Kimberly asks.

"Yes, please help me I think he might have a crush on me," I answer.

"Has Enrique been flirting with you or constantly complimenting you?" She asks.

"Both, he even gave me a shoulder massage. Does he do that a lot?" I say.

"No, he hasn't done it before. Please don't freak ou, but Enrique doesn't have a crush on you. He might be in love with you." Kimberly says.

"Kimberly, you can't be serious. What makes you think so sure that he's in love with me?" I ask.

"I've been friends with Enrique for a year and half. He told her that he only gave a shoulder massage to one really special girl." Kimberly says.

Wow, I can't believe that Enrique thinks that I'm really special.

I start to daydream about the two of us going out on a date. Kimberly snaps her fingers in front of my face. I come back to reality a few seconds later.

"Sorry for spacing out like that," I say.

"Do you have feelings for Enrique?" Kimberly asks.

"Maybe, I mean he is super cute and he complimented me on things that Mike never noticed. How am I supposed to stop myself from acting like a babbling fool or even blushing when he compliments me?" I answer.

"Remember, you're not staying here long. Try to stay focused on your mission of finding a way back to your time." Kimberly says.

I nod. Then we go get our lunch. After we eat our lunch we head to our fourth hour class. I check my schedule and head to Mr. O'Neil's Precalculus class. When I get there I see Mike standing next to the door. He walks up to me.

"Hey angel, we have Precalculus together just like at Reefside," Mike says.

I ignore him and walk in the room. After the bell rings Mr. O'Neil introduces us to the class. We sit down at our desks. The only desks left are next to each other. Mr. O'Neil starts his lesson on exponential and logarithmic functions and writes down a few examples on the board.

"Hey Tracy, it looks like we don't need a magnifying glass to read what he wrote on the board." Mike whispers.

I give him the silent treatment and keep on taking notes. Twenty minutes later Mr. O'Neil finishes his lecture. He asks the class is they have any questions. A girl in the back with long red hair slowly raises her hand. The class groans. I realize why they reacted that way when she asks a long drawn out question. After Mr. O'Neil answers her question he tells us our homework assignment. We have the rest of the class period to work on it.

Mike's POV

I place my hand on Tracy's desk. She looks over at me. I can tell from the expression in her eyes that she's will mad at me. I flash my I'm sorry smile. She remains silent.

"Come on Tracy, please talk to me. Anything is better than the silent treatment." I say.

She gives me a few more nonverbal cues telling me to leave her alone. I know that math brings out her frustrated side. I also know that she would be even more frustrated since the graphing calculator we use here isn't as advanced as the one we use in 2004. I ask her if she wants my help in case she gets stuck on a problem. She continues to ignore me and starts working on her homework.

"I miss hearing the sound of her beautiful voice. I hate it when she is mad at me." I think to myself.

I decide to try again later to get her to talk to me. I turn back around and start on my homework. I finish ten problems before the bell rings again. I look up to see Tracy power walking out of the room. I do the same to try to catch up with her. I get halfway down the hallway. Olive jumps in front of me.

"Olive, I can't talk now. I need to catch up with Tracy to clear up what happened earlier." I say.

"Forget about her Mike, and go out with me. I heard that Enrique Cruz has fallen in love with her." Olive says.

"Where did you hear this information?" I ask.

Olive says that she is friends with Edwin. He told her that Enrique told him that he was going to ask her out at the end of the day. My blood starts to boil after I hear those words. I can't believe that another boy is flirting with my girl. I politely ask her to move. She moves to her left and I walk past her. She links arms with me again.

"Olive, can you let go of my arm, please?" I ask.

I look over at her. Olive bats her eyes and says that she doesn't want to. I yank my arm away and leave to see if I still can catch Tracy. I turn the corner to see a crowded hallway and I let out a long sigh going to my locker.

Normal POV

Tracy gets to her locker. She is so upset that she accidentally uses a bit of her Dino power to open it. Tracy tosses her things inside and slams the door shut. She slamms it so hard that it's dangling off its hinges. She turns around to see Enrique walk up.

"What happened to your locker?" He asks.

"Let's just say that math brings out my dark side. So what's up?" Tracy answer

"Nothing much, I'm off to study hall with Ms. Larson. What about you?" He says.

Tracy says that is her next class too. Enrique tells her that all you do in study hall is work on homework from other classes. Tracy is happy to hear this. She turns around and carefully opens her locker. She takes out her Spanish and Precalcus books, her creative writing folder, three notebooks and her calculator. She closes her locker the same way that she opened it and turns back around.

"Are you sure that you can carry all that? I could take a couple of things to lighten the load." He says.

Tracy says she's got it. She reminds him that she flipped him earlier. They stop by the janitor's office to see if he can fix her locker door. He said that he'll have it fixed by the time class ends. Tracy thanks him and they head to class. The bell rings just as they sit down at the round table near the window. After Ms. Larson finishes taking attendance Tracy starts her math homework. Twenty minutes later she finishes her math homework, without erasing a hole in the paper or throwing her calculator across the room. She put them aside and starts her creative writing homework. Ten minutes later she finishes that assignment. She finishes copying down her Spanish vocabulary words in five minutes. She spends the next fifteen minutes translating her song into Spanish.

"Man I'm glad that's done." Tracy says.

Tracy sets her pencil down and rolls her tired wrist. Enrique says that he has a better way to help ease the pain. She stops rolling her wrist and sets her left hand on the table.

"What exactly do you have in mind?" Tracy asks.

He leans in close. He whispers to her that it's a surprise and that she has to close her eyes. He backs away and Tracy gets goose bumps form Enrique's warm breath as she feels it touch her skin. She closes her eyes to stop the butterflies in her stomach from fluttering. Enrique takes hold of her hand. He starts to gently massage her wrist. Tracy tries not to melt as she feels Enrique's fingers walking across her wrist. The pain seems to disappear instantly. He tells her to open her eyes two minutes later. When she does Tracy notices how close Enrique is. If she move an inch in the wrong direction, she and Enrique would kiss. The bell rings a few seconds later.

I finally understand the phrase saved by the bell. Tracy thinks.

Enrique backs away. Tracy gets out of her chair. She pushes it in and picks up her books and they walk to her locker. Tracy puts her books away. She puts her Spanish notebook and the folder with her song in it inside her bag. She zips it up and closes the locker door. She turns around to face Enrique.

"Thanks again for everything you did for me today." Tracy says.

"De nada Bella, there is one more thing I wanted to ask you." He says.

Tracy starts to get really nervous. Enrique takes her left hand again. He looks into her eyes.

"Tracy, will you go out with me?" He asks.
