A Dream of Soulmates
The Alphas of Percy Jackson / Writer's Month 2022
There were not many things Octavian and Reyna agreed on. The praetor and the augur argued a lot, they both had very dominant personalities, both alphas liked to take charge. There was only one thing they really agreed on – and that was their shared omega.
Their little spitfire son of Jupiter, hero of New Rome. Cute, strong, sweet. Perfect.
That. That was the only thing they could agree on. And it was enough. Because they shared a soulmate. Which was peculiar, because both Reyna and Octavian bore two soul-marks, yet they were not each other's soulmates. However, they knew they shared another soulmate. One they had not yet been privy to meet. It irritated both alphas immensely and perhaps, that was another thing they agreed on. Somewhere out there was another omega – of that, Octavian and Reyna were also both sure of – and they were supposed to be theirs. Here. Safe.
There was only one thing Octavian and Reyna agreed on and it were their soulmates.

Percy's whole everything ached. He'd been on the run for as long as he remembered. Which, he supposed, was what happened when one had amnesia. The only thing he remembered was his name. Before he'd woken up in this nightmare, he had been happy. He was in a lodge, a quaint little wooden place in the forest, really pretty and comfortable.
"Good morning, carino," someone whispered into his ear.
He could smell alpha and feel lips press against his shoulder. A girl leaned over him, kissing her way along his shoulder. With a happy smile did he roll over to let her kiss her way to his mouth. He didn't know her name, but in that moment, this didn't even register as a problem or something strange. He just enjoyed her kisses and her delicious scent. Alpha. His alpha.
"He—ey, stop hoarding our omega," someone else complained.
Lips pressed against his other shoulder and when he turned his head, he came face to face with two blondes. One was pouting, the one who had spoken and was now nuzzling into Percy. Omega, too. Smelled like thunder storms. Nice. The other one was laying behind the omega, one arm leisurely around the blonde omega's waist. Taller, from what Percy could see.
"Did you sleep well, Perseus?" asked the tall blonde alpha.
"Mhmh..." Percy leaned closer, trying to get a kiss from that alpha too.
The tall alpha chuckled and leaned over the blonde omega to kiss Percy. Appeased did Percy snuggle back into the comfortable sheets. Nice. Warm and comfortable and smelling like his mates. Like safety and comfort. His eyelids felt heavy and they closed nearly on their own again.
When he woke up again, he realized it had all just been a dream. He was on the streets, all alone, with no memories aside from his own name. Nobody was with him, none of the three people who had seemed so eager to be with him in this nice little dream.

Jason got dumped in Camp Half-Blood with fake memories. Before he woke up on the school bus with Leo and Piper, he had a beautiful dream of being asleep in a pretty little lodge, with two alphas and a cute omega whom he got to kiss. Warm arms making him feel comforted. And then he got torn out of that dream, dumped into a new reality that quickly fell apart too as he realized that his memories of Leo and Piper were all fake. Slowly, over the course of his quest with his two new friends, he regained his real memories. The confusing part was that with his memories, he could place names to only two of the faces in his dream. Octavian and Reyna. His alphas. The augur and his co-praetor in New Rome. His mates. But... the fourth one in their bed? He was sure he'd never seen his face before. But that scent of ocean and strawberries was so comforting too and so yummy, he'd just wanted to kiss the other omega. His omega. That had been his missing soulmate. Why had he been allowed this dream-vision of his still missing soulmate...?
A question he'd only see answered when the Argo II landed in New Rome and he came face to face with his alphas again, standing on either side of Percy Jackson. Their omega.

Both Octavian and Reyna had been equally agitated when Jason went missing. Only natural, for two alphas missing their omega. And beyond that, their city was missing one of its leaders. It was a struggle and despite any animosity between Octavian and Reyna, the two worked together well. Nobody else understood what it was like to miss Jason the way they did.
And then the unimaginable happened. An omega arrived. Not Jason. Still theirs though. Their missing fourth. A beautiful omega with eyes like the wild ocean. Another one. Reyna and Octavian had managed to find not one but two incredibly powerful omega children of one of the Big Three. Also, two praetors – as Perseus Jackson quickly claimed Jason's vacant position.
"Sh, it's okay," Reyna's voice was gentle as she kissed down the length of Percy's nose until he reached Percy's mouth. "You did good. You freed Death. And now you're home."
"Home?" Percy asked curiously, doubtful. "I don't belong here."
"You do," argued Octavian with narrowed eyes. "You are our omega. As such, you belong with us. You're home here, from now on this is your home."
His long, elegant fingers were tracing Percy's stomach as he hugged the omega from behind. Percy's eyes fluttered shut as he was finally allowed to relax. He'd been wound so tight ever since he woke up without memories. Always on the edge, constantly in need of protecting himself. Yes, he was strong, yes he could fight any opponent. But that didn't mean he always wanted to fight, always wanted to be ready to defend himself. Sometimes, he just wanted to lean back and relax.
"Where's our fourth?" Percy asked with a frown. "There's a fourth. He's also blonde, right?"
"He... is," Reyna frowned too and lifted her head to look at Octavian.
"How do you know that?" Octavian asked curiously.
"I don't know," Percy tilted his head. "I had a dream. Before I woke up without memories, I had a dream. Of you two and of that other blonde."
Mh. How very strange. Had the Gods granted Percy one last act of kindness before taking his memories? Not that they had any answer for that. For now, they had very few answers.
"Jason must be at your camp, if you're here," offered Reyna after a beat. "And I'm sure he'll come back to us as soon as possible. For now... Can we enjoy you...?"
She buried her face in his neck, inhaling his sweet, alluring scent. She'd always been drawn to strength, as a daughter of Bellona. Jason was the strongest in New Rome and even without knowing any of the Greeks, Reyna already knew that Percy was the strongest among them. Her gorgeous spitfire omegas, ready to kick even the Gods' asses. She smiled as she kissed him again.

Octavian was utterly pleased with the omegas fate had given him. Strong heroes of the war. However, they were also utterly exhausting. So stubborn, so strong-willed, so unwilling to listen. A cause for early gray hair, that much Octavian was sure of. It made him feel relieved that he had Reyna at his side, though he would never admit that aloud. These two spitfires were demanding and it was good there were two alphas ready to be with them.
After the war ended, Octavian thought their omegas deserved a treat. Since it had been a dream of a lodge that had gotten them through their time without memories, Octavian had gone ahead and rented a lodge in the Hamptons for the four of them. Shall the senate figure out what to do with the damages in New Rome, their praetors and their augur were on leave. They earned a vacation.
"Not entirely like in my dream, but it'll suffice," declared Percy after inspecting the lodge.
"It'll suffice," Octavian snorted softly. "How gracious of you, Perseus."
"Shut up, Tavy," Percy narrowed his eyes at the alpha.
Reyna smiled amused as she watched them. The strangest kind of petnames, but there was a certain sense of fondness to the way both said them. Ignoring them, Reyna walked over toward the large bed and sat down on it. Her eyes were on Jason. She'd missed him terribly, worried about him so much. Yes, she knew how capable he was, but all alone out there was dangerous for anyone. And he'd been gone for so, so long. Opening her arms, Reyna accepted Jason into a tight hug and a gentle kiss. Slowly, the two of them laid down on the bed and curled together. Both facing the large window, looking out at the snowy mountains. It was beautiful and serene.
"Hey. Look. They're cuddling. Without me. Scoot over, make some room."
Reyna smiled amused and pulled Jason with her to make room on the bed for her other demanding omega. Percy was quick to cuddle up to Jason, tucking his head beneath the blonde's chin. The two omegas nuzzled each other for a little bit, rubbing each other with their scents. The soothing scent of content omegas soon started to fill the small cabin.
"You lot," Octavian sounded irritated. "First unpack, then do nothing."
"Why?" Reyna lifted her head to look at him with a smug smirk. "The way I see this, it's working quite well. You unpack, I do nothing with my omegas."
Octavian muttered beneath his breath as he put all perishables away first and then went to the bed to join them. He nudged Percy and Jason over so he could lay on Percy's other side and pull the omega's head onto his chest. Percy purred softly and got more comfortable, with Jason pressed against his back. Yes. This was good. After months on the run, all alone, haunted by the loss of his own identity, he finally found a place where he could belong. Where he could feel safe, cherished and like he could let down his guard. Something he was in dire need of.
"How long are we staying here?" Percy asked and craned his neck to look at Jason and Reyna.
"However long the two of you want to," replied Reyna.
Her fingers carded through Percy's hair in a soothing manner, while Octavian grunted his confirmation. Yes. That sounded good. That sounded exactly like what Percy needed.
~*~ The End ~*~
Author's note: Bit trickier poly ship for me, because Octavian is just... gay to me, there is no way him and Reyna could be romantically or sexually involved. So basically two threesomes overlapping by two people. Buuut I had fun with it xD
