DONT OWN! GAH!
III
Kairi's squeal could put a pig to shame as she carried the small bowl of chicken noodle soup. It wasn't for her. God knows she got over eating condensed soup a long time ago, but Riku was sick, and as a friend she was going to nurse him back to health with the help of the bowl in her hand.
Hearing the beep come from the kitchen made her smile grow even more, making her start to shake uncontrollably. There wasn't just one bowl of chicken soup. There were two.
One for Riku.
And one for the person that he got sick; Sora.
It wasn't just the flu or a cold or even a tummy ache.
No. It was much, much better.
For Kairi anyways.
When Riku's mom had called Kairi and asked if she would play nurse to the two boys, she agreed immediately, knowing that without them, her life would be eventless, thus becoming boring. But it wasn't until the silver haired boy's mother told her what the two had had her mind go on the fantasy cruse.
Riku had given Sora mono.
Kairi giggled. Yes, the big highly contagious disease that you can only get by the exchanging of saliva.
Which is why everyone at school and everywhere else called it the kissing disease.
As Kairi walked the three houses down to Riku's house, her mind went wild. Flashes of how the two contracted the disease from one another went mental on her mind.
Truth be told that she had never thought of either of the two 'swinging on that side of the plate' thoughts as such had never entered her mind before today. But now….
Images of the two said bodies on one another, making one beautiful form, lips locked on each others lips or the closest part of the body. Kairi's brain almost melted when the Sora inside her mind moaned the other boy's name when Riku bit his ear.
"Kai…ri?" Sora's raspy voice whispered, looking at the girl through the opened doorway. "What's wrong Kairi?"
Kairi jumped, almost spilling the chicken soup as she looked up to the spiky haired boy as if he had three heads. She shook it of and walked over to her best friend, sitting the chicken soup in his lap. "There you go, Riku you're will be out in a minute." She smiled.
The same smile gave Riku a sense of fear that he had not felt in years. Not since Sora told Riku that he was going to become an Olympic clog dancer.
"Kairi…what are you thinking about?"
"Oh! Nothing, nothing! Just thinking about sicknesses and diseases. Nothing more."
"GOD! YOU TOO?" Riku yelled as loud as he could. "I DID NOT KISS SORA!" at this Sora sprayed his chicken noodle soup in a comical way that, if Riku wasn't yelling, he would have laughed at. "HE DRANK SOME OF MY WATER WHEN HE CAME TO VISIT ME YESTERDAY! YOU SICK-" Riku thusly passed out from exhaustion.
"Kairi? How could you think that! I think you killed Riku!"
"No, he's just tired…" she grinned. "You KNOW! You two would make a-"
"KAIRI! SHUT UP!" the brown haired boy screamed as loud as his sickly throat would let him.
She grinned. "Alright alright, I'll go get Riku's soup so he can have some when he wakes up.
As Kairi walked down the hall, her mind once again ran wild, with different exciting things that Riku could have done to the smaller boy to give his the Kissing disease. Kairi giggled at one that included a Popsicle stick and a soccer ball. But as she rounded Riku's door way her daydreams went to the back of her mind, not wanting Riku to kill himself with the stress of her daydreams and silly grins.
Getting them better was the first thing on her list of things to do at that moment.
After they were well again, that was when she would remind them of what Mono truly was.
