A/N: Now that I've started this mini story, I have no idea how to start this chapter, naturally. This is how it normally goes. I find something I want to write about but feel the need to put all this filler in to make it flow better then I get so hung up on the filler that I lose the inspiration and drive to write.
Thx!

"Don't worry, Bruce, Gotham is taken care of. Just enjoy a weekend off! It's not like you won't be back. It's only a couple days." Clark attempts to assure me as I once again bemoan going to Bora Bora rather than being in Gotham. I had to leave my city to the boyscout and am not happy about it.
"Do lighten up, Master Bruce," Alfred says from across the table. He won't be staying in Bora Bora with me but he claimed he needed to come with me for the ride. I think he wanted to be sure I wouldn't find a way out of this supposed vacation.
The closer I get to my destination, the more upset I become that I was talked into this. I can only hope that Lia's friend that is flying out to participate for this absurdity isn't some bubble headed bimbo. I don't know if I'll survive the weekend if she is.
"Besides, maybe you can find yourself a nice lady friend to actually keep around." Clark teases through the laptop. My eyes snap to his and I level him with a glare. Clark tries to act unaffected but his eyes flit away. I fight the smirk that tugs at my lips.
"Goodbye Kent," I dismissed before closing the laptop.
"Really, Master Bruce. You're acting like you're on your way to certain doom. You promised Mistress Lia that you would help her and now you must follow through."
"I know, Alfred, but I don't like leaving Gotham and you know it."
"Your fellow superheroes can manage Gotham for three days. Perhaps Master Clark is right that you'll meet a lovely young lady. She may be a wonderful girl and you're already making her out to be someone unworthy of your time. Enjoy yourself Master Bruce. Spend some time with your old friend, meet some new people, relax on the beach for a little while. Get your mind off work and your nightly activities for a little while. It could do you some good to get some sun."
I hissed mockingly and Alfred chuckled. I finally crack a small smile before nodding as he continues to stare at me. "I will keep in touch with Mistress Lia to make sure you're actually relaxing. If I hear otherwise, I will not stress her away from annoying you and possibly making your weekend as miserable as you're making it out to be." I wouldn't put it past him. He used to send Lia to do that when we were younger. If I got too moody, he'd send her to annoy me to the point where I'd be more open to doing something other than mope. Not that I mope.
"If you say so, Al." Alfred only chuckles when the pilot announced we put our seat belts back on as we began our descent. I don't bother but watch out the window as the Bora Bora air strip grows closer before we touch down. I stand from my seat and wait for Alfred to head towards the exit before following, grabbing my suit jacket from the seat beside me, having removed it shortly after taking off from Gotham. I rolled up my sleeves and popped the top few buttons and am glad to have done so as I step out into the heat of Bora Bora.
"Bruce!" Lia squeals from the tarmac. "Alfred!" She squeals just as excitedly.
"Ah, Mistress Lia, wonderful to see you once more my dear." Alfred pulls Lia into a hug as I walk down the stairs. I notice Lia's lips moving against Alfred's ear, knowing they're most likely planning my demise as I step onto the airstrip.
Lia pulls back from Alfred before coming around to grab my arm and pull me into a hug of our own. I pat her back before pulling back watching as Alfred moves back towards the plane to begin the flight home. "Remember, Master Bruce. You are not having your teeth pulled but if you fight your relaxing weekend, I will insist Mistress Lia make it seem that way." Alfred gives me what is supposed to be a sincere smile but I see the mischievous glint in his eyes.
"Alright, alright, old man. Get back to dusting or something." I pat Alfred on the shoulder affectionately and he chuckles before ascending back up the stairs.
"Farewell, Master Bruce! See you in a few days!" Alfred calls from the doorway to the plane before it closes behind him.
"So, are we pulling teeth or relaxing?" Lia questions, jabbing a finger in my sore ribs. I fight a wince, pushing her jabbing fingers away.
"I'll be a good boy, promise, let's go." I usher Lia towards the convertible waiting for us.
She claps her hands before skipping to the car, throwing open the passenger seat and immediately flipping through the radio stations.
I rub my side before climbing into the car and pulling away from the airstrip.
"Make sure not to shave this weekend." Lia requests out of the blue while we sit at the little beachside cafe having lunch. I shoot her a confused look and she shrugs innocently. "What? It makes you look more rugged. Like a model they'd use for a cologne commercial." I roll my eyes before finishing my sandwich, tossing my napkin in the basket they'd served lunch in.
"I already put your outfits in your hotel room. We'll be taking the pictures at different times throughout the day over the weekend so I can get different lighting and weather."
"Weather?"
"Yeah, we're expecting rain tomorrow afternoon and there's going to be fireworks tonight that I'd like to snap a couple pics during."
"Of your friend and I or of just the fireworks?"
"You and her. You know, it's possible you might've met her before, even just in passing. She's gone to some of the high end parties you've been invited to before." Lia's phone dings and she picks it up, immediately smiling. "Perfect! She's settled into her cabana, the one beside yours, and is totally on board with getting some pics during the fireworks tonight!" She finishes her last few fries before pushing the basket away, quickly tapping out a message on her phone before looking back up at me.
"I'll follow you to your cabana to show you what outfit is for tonight then will text you later when it's time to meet up. You aren't allowed to meet her till the photoshoot later. I want some pics capturing your surprise!" Lia pushes away from the table after throwing money on the table for her bill. I learned a long time ago that Lia loathes when I try to pay for her things; too independent to want someone paying for things when she's capable of paying for herself. I stopped fighting her on it our junior year.
I stand as well, paying for my own meal and adding a tip before leading Lia towards my cabana, my curiosity getting the best of me as we pass the cabana beside mine, hoping to catch a glimpse of whoever I'm going to have to take pictures with but all of the blinds facing my cabana are closed. "I saw that, Bruce, but I told her to close her blinds so there's no chance you'll see each other before the shoot." I roll my eyes, though Lia doesn't see it from behind me. I wipe at my brow, annoyed I haven't been allowed to change into shorts while Lia has walked around in her shorts with a bikini top and lightweight cover up.
Letting herself into the little hut sitting over the water, Lia immediately goes to the bedroom before wheeling a costume stand out behind her with different shirts, shorts, and swim trunks on it.
At the sight of the trunks, I pause in the doorway. While it makes sense she'd want shots in the water, I'm not particularly comfortable being shirtless. Even the shorts and trunks could be a stretch if I sit a certain way or she catches my legs at certain angles.
"Before you post anything, I would like access to the images."
"Why? Trying to make yourself look more buff in photoshop?" Lia chuckles.
"No, I just was in an accident a couple years ago when studying abroad and I'm self conscious of the scars." I lied.
"What? When? What happened?" Abandoning the rack of clothes, Lia swarms into my personal space, pushing at my sleeves and the collar of my shirt aside to try and see. I carefully push her hands away.
"I'm okay, Lia, promise. Just would prefer the scars to not be obvious or anything. So if I could please have access at the end then send you the pictures back for you to post, I'd really appreciate it." Lia cups my cheeks to stare intensely into my eyes. I blink a couple times and look back.
"You better be fine, Bruce Wayne, or I will kick your ass myself and then kick my own ass for hurting you if there's anything that still affects you." I crack into a small smile as she releases my face and walks back to the clothing.
"I promise, I'm fine."
"Okay but I'll be watching you." She squints at me from over her shoulder before pulling a black button up shirt with white pineapples off the rack. She then grabs black boarding shorts and lays them across a chair.
"I want you to wear this tonight. Wear flip flops or come barefoot. I'll meet you down by the cafe around 8:30 as the fireworks start at 9 and we're doing the photos on the pier beside the cafe." Lia's phone beeps again, this time with an incoming call and she squeaks before letting herself out of the hut to answer the phone. I watch her walk up the small dock back onto the sand and up to the hotel she's staying in. Sighing, I change into the clothes Lia laid out in hopes to cool off. I debated going out to sit on the dock and put my feet in the water but figured the girl isn't allowed to see me either.
I turn the fan on in the bedroom and set an alarm on my phone before gently lying down on the bed, shucking the ridiculous pineapple shirt back off to speed up the cooling process, nodding off a couple minutes later to the sound of the waves outside the hut.
My phone goes off at 8 and I jolt awake, unsure where I am at first before remembering I fell asleep in my hut in Bora Bora. I relax back against the bed for a moment before reaching out to shut off the alarm. Yawning and stretching I climb off the bed, going into the bathroom to reapply deodorant, brush my teeth, and fix my bed head before redawning the pineapple shirt. I slide my wallet and phone in my shorts before slipping my flip flops on and leaving my hut, locking up the door behind me.
I once again try to peek into the hut beside mine but the shutters are still closed so I bury my hands in my pockets and take my time walking along the beach to the cafe. The pier beside the cafe is where I believe Lia intends to take the pictures and I must admit it's a very picturesque location. I take a chance to breathe as I walk, inhaling the sea air and enjoying the light breeze. While I'd never admit to Lia or Alfred, even if I end up being barely able to tolerate the girl for the pictures, I needed a couple days away from Gotham-away from Batman and Wayne Enterprises.
Once I'm nearly to the cafe, my phone dings with a text message. I pull it from my pocket, expecting a message from maybe Lia or Alfred but my eyes widen in surprise at the name glowing from my phone.
