It's a cool November this year for the most part, we got Xenoverse 2 dlc, God of war Ragnarok, and Sonic Frontiers all in the same week, these are all worth trying out if you can, I still can't believe we're already close to ending 2022, hopefully these last 2 months are very eventful.

Imperial Palace

General Budo opened the doors to the palace with a few soldiers accompanying him, he looked quite serious as he was about to approach the emperor himself, he kneeled looking at the floor "Great Emperor, I bring more troublesome news from the east".

The emperor was unexpectedly a young boy, with green hair, green eyes, and wearing attire befitting his position, beside him was a large elderly man with white hair, amber eyes, and a beard, "What is it, Great general Budo?" the young boy asked.

The general looks to face them "Just hours ago, the town of Kyoroch was destroyed by an enemy force, but from the looks of it...the invasion was more destructive than anything our enemy has done...", he spoke with great concern, thinking there could be more to this than a simple attack from the rebels.

The emperor was shocked to hear about this invasion, but he was curious "These mysterious attackers aren't the rebels?, we could be dealing with a third party", the boy turned to the older man "Minister Honest, what do you say about this?".

Prime Minister Honest stroked his beard as he thought about it, afterwards the man shook his head "This sounds bad, but perhaps the revolution partnered with this new army in hopes of taking us down, it wouldn't be a surprise to me".

Budo could get behind that, but at the same time it was very strange for an out of nowhere invasion by their foes, "I see, that sounds very smart sir" The emperor spoke, he turned his head back to the general, ready to give him a command.

"Budo, I want you to continue guarding our city as best you can, there is no telling what else this new army has in store for us" the boy commanded, the general nodded his head in submission, the emperor looks back at the old man "Honest, try informing the Jaegers and Wild Hunt about an investigation and search for Night Raid".

"Uh, about that sir" Budo spoke, this caught their attention, the blonde general didn't know how to say it, but he tried telling them "Wild Hunt were among the casualties, which includes your son...minister", they froze from the news.

Honest stared at the ceiling of the palace, very much in thought about the news, but he didn't seem to shed a tear, the young ruler stood up from his throne, this time changing his command "Honest, continue with telling the Jaegers about their task, but make sure to tell Esdeath about her own mission".

The Minister nodded his head, Budo watched as the emperor faced him again, this time giving him new orders "Change of plans General, you will leave half your forces guarding the city, but you will be accompanying Esdeath to Kyoroch".

"Yes sir" Budo replied, he stood up and gave a bow before turning to leave, he walked away with even more concerns, as if he had certain opinions on the infamous ice general, but he focused on his duty, wondering what he should expect.

Meanwhile, Night Raid

After long hours of traveling, Night Raid were back home, they completed their mission in finding out the mystery...but they still felt defeated, Akame had woken up from her unconsciousness, now sitting on a chair in the dining room...but not feeling very hungry.

"Hey Akame, you recovered?" Tatsumi asked after walking in, he sat next to her with a worried look, he could tell something is bothering her, she wasn't chowing down on any food this time, he sighed "Yeah, we're facing a terrifying enemy, but we can get through this, I know we can".

He watched as the red eyed girl looked back, her face more mournful this time "It's not just that, while you all were giving it your all...I felt useless...", he felt shocked to hear that coming from her, but he already knew she was more human than what others can see.

Akame looks out the window with her elbow on the table "You guys held your own against that robot, but because he was a machine Murasame wasn't effective, and to top it all off...it was a superior fighter anyways...".

Tatsumi would try to cheer her up, doing his best to help his friend in need "You're not useless, you're a way better assassin than I can ever dream to be, you saved me quite a lot", as much as she appreciates this...this isn't her only concern.

She slammed her fist on the table, making Tatsumi jolt up, the red eyed assassin turns to him again, this time her eyes were filled with tears, reminding him of the last time he saw her cry "I can't even convince my own sister to join me, I let her down, I'm letting everyone down by being weak!".

Akame shook from her sadness, she felt useless by not being able to persuade her sister, fight against these new terrifying threats, and of course...save her friends from certain death, she slams her fist on the table once again, her head flat on the table as she tried to hold it all in.

Tatsumi was frozen again, just like with their talk about Sheele's death, but this time...he isn't going to be letting this happen again, Tatsumi puts his hand on her head, she looked back as he comforts her "It's not too late to convince her, there's still a chance to connect with Kurome again, and also...we'll keep training till we are tough enough to take those guy down".

Akame's tears stopped, staring at a face of hope and determination, the brown-haired assassin nodded his head "We can win this together, with all of us together, we can beat that alien and create a better society...and reunite you with your sis".

There was a moment of silence, the room's melancholy air had healed up, Akame wipes her tears away, after all that talk, she formed a smile on her face, regaining hope in her goals "Thank you, Tatsumi", the friends kept their smiles as they walked out the room.

A couple hours later

"Do you think we can contact the rest of the army for help?" Lubbock asks Najenda, with Susanoo standing beside her "I don't think so, they seem to be too occupied with the rest of the war, and besides...pure numbers aren't going to save us".

Chelsea was reading a book as she sat on a couch listening to them, she closes it shut with a question "If they can't come to our aid, then they can at least give us another teigu user", she feels the group would be too large at this point, but there's no choice other than taking what they can get.

The leader sighed "We didn't plan on taking in anymore people, but we'll need more power against Bliz, that machine wasn't even his strongest warrior", this was a dire situation for them, and there's also the possibility of the Jaegers searching for them, which Chelsea could predict.

The detective crossed her arms, ready to tell them what she thought "There's a chance the Jaegers will be hunting us down as well, their Empire won't be forgetting about us after all", this made sense to the group, there must be a solution.

Lubbock had his hands behind his head, these thoughts of 2 enemy forces against them made him very uneasy, "Yeah, they have a guy that even Bulat had a hard time against, let alone Esdeath herself", Chelsea nods her head, she remembers Daikon's feats, he even saved her from the life under Merraid Oarburgh.

This gave her an idea, a crazy idea, her eyes were wide from thinking about it, "Uhh Chel, you good?" Lubb asked, noticing her intense expression, the others were also a bit concerned, but this stopped when the red head gave a smile.

"I have a plan" she said, Najenda leaned forward to listen, Susanoo stayed still, but he kept his eyes on her, the detective puts her hand on Gaea Foundation, she wasn't sure if this gamble could work out, but this didn't stop her from mentioning her big plan, she wore a grin "How about we capture Daikon".

Everyone jumped back, the green haired boy was stuttering "W-what, capture that guy?!", Najenda was equally as surprised, but she wanted to hear more about this plan, they calmed down so they can allow her to speak.

Chelsea tried to explain as best she can "You all know what he's capable of, I even saw him for myself, he has strange abilities unlike anything we have ever seen", she stood from her couch, her confidence shot up "Someone like him can grow strong enough to defeat that big alien!".

The leader of Night Raid thought about it, this idea was a good one, but also just as risky "Good thinking Chelsea, but the problem is trying to capture the likes of him", everyone else could agree to that, they would have to be very careful.

"That's right mam, but I think I can think of a way to better get his attention, first...we'll need to allow the Jaegers to find us at a different location" she replied, the 3 of them spent a few minutes brainstorming her plan, but afterwards it was approved by Najenda.

"Chelsea, inform the others about our plan, I'll be finding a location for us to head to" their leader spoke before leaving the room, the red head nods with certainty, she grabs her teigu before leaving as well, she only hopes it all goes according to plan.

Jaeger base

Esdeath has been informed by Honest about her own orders while the rest of the team will do their mission, she sat on her seat after telling everyone what was going on "I'm sorry I won't be with you all for this mission, but it's the emperor's orders".

Daikon leaned forward after listening, he was looking forward to meeting the rest of Night Raid "It's ok mam, we'll make you proud", he smiled with enthusiasm, the rest of the team was eager to prove themselves again for their leader, which she was glad for.

"It'll be a challenge trying to look for them, maybe we should wait for signs of their presence" Run predicts with his fingers on his chin, for now looking for them will be a challenge, so waiting for Night Raids footprints will be crucial for their hunt.

Seryu nodded her head, with Koro barking as a response, Daikon was already ready for their search, hoping he can have a proper talk with Akame before their inevitable battle, Kurome was just as eager to meet her again, but she spoke with herself in her head.

"She betrayed me, and I want to kill her...but I still love her as my sister" the black-eyed girl thought, there was confliction in her goal, she can't stop thinking about the good times they had together...despite Akame's defection.

The ice queen rose from her seat, turning to face Run "You will temporarily be in command for your mission, I expect you to do well", the blonde gave her a respectful bow, she also gives her team a suggestion "Also, make sure you keep Tatsumi alive and bring him back for me if you can".

This caught most off guard, but they were reminded of her sudden love for an enemy, which didn't really make much sense beyond liking his power, Bols scratched his head after she made that comment "If you say so general, we'll keep a lookout".

Esdeath appreciates the answer, another thing on her mind was she had learned of certain reports of Night Raid going after Daikon, more specifically before joining the Jaegers, but she had confidence that he would pull through, his power displayed as much.

The general rested her fist on her hip, she kept her eyes on her strongest member "You all have permission to leave, Daikon...I'll have a word with you", he was confused, at the same time worried if he did anything wrong.

The rest of the team left the meeting room, leaving the spiky haired assassin alone with Esdeath, "Uh...did I do anything wrong mam?" he asked nervously, she shook her head, he could see she didn't have a face of disappointment, which calmed his nerves.

"Of course not, I just wanted to talk to you about something" she responds, the ice queen crossed her arms as she looked at him "I've seen reports of the revolution issuing a bounty against you, I ask for you to not be reckless".

Daikon nods his head "I'll be careful, but I can't help the thought of fighting another strong enemy, it's just how I feel", she already knew that much about him, reminding her of her own combat instincts, but she doesn't feel any bloodlust from his aura.

"Kind of like me huh" she laughed, Esdeath would remember bounties against Kurome and Bols by the rebels, which she felt she needed to address, she looks out the window as she spoke "I also learned about them coming after Kurome and Bols, did you know?".

Daikon lets out a sigh, showing his worry "Yeah, but I don't care how difficult it is...I will keep my friends alive", not only is it his main goal, but it reminds him to keep improving, the general never knew she would have someone pure hearted in her team.

Esdeath turned back with a smile as she fixed her hat "If that's makes you stronger and motivates you to do better...then don't give it up", Daikon scratched his head again, never expecting to hear this from his leader, but he smiled back "Yes mam, I'll give it my all!".

The ice queen nods in agreement, the cold general felt a little closer to her spiky haired subordinate, even taking note of his values "Good luck on your mission, I'll be seeing you all when I return", she walks out the door, leaving Daikon with a better feeling about her.

She roamed the halls of the palace, talking to herself with no one around her "You're quite an interesting person, you hold great power within yourself...but also show compassion, something I always lacked", she now made her way to the throne room, wondering about further details of her investigation.

The next day

Night raid has traveled farther away from their base, they are currently near a vast landscape with a large lake, having hope that the Jaegers are able to track their location, everyone else was doing their own thing as they waited, Akame was tasked with meeting 2 people the rebels sent their way.

She cautiously looked around a nearby town that supported their cause, looking ahead with a blank stare "They should be here" she thought, from what she heard from Najenda, the rebels hired an assassin to stay in their group, the other person was one of their soldiers from a fortress Daikon attacked.

Akame eventually found an inn, which gave her nostalgia, remembering her times with the seven, she enters inside, telling the owner she was visiting someone and makes her way to the assassin's room, "It's me" she knocked on the door, waiting for a response.

"Come in" someone responded, Akame felt something in her gut, that voice sounded familiar, she remembers hearing it a while back but can't quite figure out when, she would slowly open the door, and once she looks inside...she was in shock.

Taeko was sitting on her bed with a calm expression, beside her was the woman with long brown hair and green eyes, "Taeko?" Akame couldn't believe she was seeing her again, even though they were enemies at the time, she helped her escape from the Oarburghs.

"Been a while Akame, it's fortunate we meet again" Taeko responds calmly, she now wore a more eastern style outfit, she had a tight sleeveless black shirt with a red scarf, a black short skirt, red gauntlets and black armored boots.

Akame would notice she had a new weapon, a black bladed scythe that radiated power, Taeko turns to her partner "And this is my partner, her commander was killed by an assassin", the red eyed girl noticed the woman's cold expression, she seems just as reserved as her.

The woman would bow to Akame politely with her fist on her chest "Pleasure to meet you, Night Raid", she sat back down with her arms crossed, she simply watched as the 2 former enemies catch up on things briefly, but something would catch her attention.

"So, you guys are after Daikon, I can only imagine how tough it'll be dealing with him now" Taeko mentioned about their mission, a plan thought up by Chelsea, the green-eyed soldier stared at them with wide eyes, as if the name triggered something.

Akame nods her head in confirmation "Yes, there's a chance Esdeath could be with them", but in her heart...she felt the general is the least of their problems surprisingly, she looks down with some worry, unable to think about anything else but the coming threat.

Taeko was worried about that possibility, but she held hopes that the general would not be present, she felt she wasn't that strong to face her, she was also nervous about fighting Daikon "Is there a reason you want to keep him alive?".

The red eyed girl remained silent for a few seconds, but she answered truthfully "He was a friend...and I don't want to push my sister away even further, the other reason is we need him to face another strong enemy for us", Taeko was confused with the last part, but understood the first point.

After the 2 assassins caught up with each other, they and the woman leave the inn, Akame didn't expect to meet her former enemy again, but she's glad they don't have to kill each other anymore, all that's left is the daunting mission.

Hours later

There was a slightly crashed spaceship near the canyons of Kyoroch, similar in design to the ships the Frieza force use, but it was sleeker and with darker colors, it had its own icon, a bloody fist with spikes on its knuckles, this was the ship all those sightings talked about.

Inside the ship was extremely advanced technology, Bliz sat on his chair, watching a large computer screen, it displayed multiple events happening, Planet Vegeta's destruction, Frieza laughing at the genocide he caused, and mysterious green planet.

"Lord Bliz, I have returned with news" a voice spoke out, he makes his chair turn around to face someone, a slim man with dark red skin, blue eyes, no eyebrows or a nose, and long black dreadlocks, he wore an advanced version of the Saiyan armor with a black and red color scheme, and armored gauntlets and boots.

He kneeled to his leader with respect "The Empire is sending 2 generals to investigate the town we have raided, and their elite group is in search for Night Raid", he reveals a blue screen from his data pad, it showed what looked like Esdeath.

Bliz was in thought, but he congratulated him "Excellent Cinder, you will accompany me in dealing with them, as for their team...I'll send someone else", he stood from his seat, looking to his left "You, come here" he called out to someone else.

A female figure approached and kneeled to him, she wore dark grey armor that covered her entire body, her helmet was large and round, with a thin golden visor and a black metal that covered the nose, her master gave her a mission "Follow Night Raid's trail".
