What If?
Disclaimer: Don't own Naruto but I do own the plot.
She asked herself that so many times. What if? What if?
She never did answer any of the questions with 'what if?' in them.
She didn't dare ask anyone, they'd think she was stupid, asking 'What if? What if?' all the time.
But she's going to explode if she doesn't find out this one question. What if he didn't leave?
She always wanted to blurt it out, but she was such a coward she couldn't.
Sometimes she'd murmur it, but no one heard.
She always wanted to track him down and ask him. What if?
But she didn't, he never came back. He never will.
Haruno Sakura is lying in her bed dying from an illness. She will never ask, nor get an answer to that question unless she finally asks one of her closest friends.
"Naruto," Sakura murmured.
"What?"
"What if Sasuke didn't leave?"
Naruto looked away from her pale face.
"I don't know. We never figured that out did we?"
Sakura smiled a sad smile; just then her hand went limp in Naruto's hand.
Haruno Sakura died on January 12th with a smile on her face, no one knew why, except Naruto, but he never told he respected Sakura's wish for no one to know except for him. She finally got the answer to her question.
