In the days after Tartaros attacked Fiore there was no sense of normalcy. Large chunks of Magnolia laid in ruin. The strange Face bombs hovered on the horizon and even in the middle of nearly every city in Fiore. But most importantly to Lucy the Fairy Tail guild hall was gone, and Natsu was in the wind.

Lucy was lucky enough to have a home to return to after all the destruction that had hit Magnolia. Many of her guildmates were either staying in temporary shelters around Magnolia or they were bunking with those whose houses weren't destroyed for the time being. It didn't matter much how long it took to rebuild the guild member's houses. They would all drift away in the end.

Makarov had announced that the guild would be disbanding. Lucy didn't think anyone had seen it coming. Lucy stared dejectedly at the letter Natsu had left her. It felt surreal. She never would have guessed that after everything she'd been through with Fairy Tail that it would end like this. A letter from Natsu and a surprise disband from the people who'd told her over and over again that the guild was supposed to be like family.

"Is this seat taken?"

Lucy startled and without waiting for an answer Harry plopped down beside her holding out a strange drink she'd never seen before. She took it gingerly, giving him a curious look. He was holding a mug of what looked like tea. Her own drink was frothy and had a weird pink hue to it.

"It's called milk tea." He said gesturing to it. "A friend made me try it once. I wasn't a fan, but I thought you might like it."

Lucy took a small sip and was surprised to find it did indeed agree with her. He seemed amused over the rim of his mug.

"Saw you out here yesterday." He offered after a long minute in which she simply enjoyed the sweet beverage. "It's about Natsu?"

Lucy felt herself warm up immediately and she fumbled to deny before she caught his expression. He wasn't teasing her. He knew she liked Natsu, but he was genuinely asking and he looked concerned behind the casually pleasant demeanor. Some of the embarrassment receded and she nodded. "Yeah." She admitted. "I figured if he was gonna run off to train and get stronger at least he would've invited me, you know?"

Harry nodded knowingly. Everyone knew that Natsu had run off by now. He'd done it before the guild was even formally disbanded by Makarov. He didn't even know that Fairy Tail HAD disbanded. It was going to be a shock for him when he finally got back.

"So, what now?" Harry had leaned back to prop his elbow against the stair behind him. He was looking at Lucy expectantly and for a long minute she didn't know what to say to that. What did come next? Her entire life had just been torn apart.

"Maybe I'll join another guild." She murmured setting her empty cup down so she could wrap her arms around her knees and stare at Natsu's letter again. Her guild mark flashed on top of her hand and gave her pause. She didn't think she could join another guild. Not now at least. Fairy Tail was still too fresh a wound. It would feel like a betrayal. "Or maybe I'll go try to write again."

"Mm.." Harry hummed as he finished his own mug of tea. "That one does sound more like you. I can't imagine Lucy Heartfilia in any guild but Fairy Tail."

Lucy gave half a laugh. It was weird considering how short his time had been all things considered, but she strangely felt the same about him. "What about you?"

He shrugged. "There's a whole world of possibilities." He said with a smile. "Maybe I'll be your competition. What do you think? Harry, the writer! It's got a nice ring to it."

Lucy was full out laughing by the time he'd stopped. He grinned down at her.

"Not really though. I take it from your laughing that you've seen samples of my writing."

She nodded, wiping a tears away.

"Not nearly as bad as the poem a friend wrote about me in school. I assure you." He seemed relaxed. "I won't be winning any awards though. Hermione always used to say-"

"That you made trolls look intelligent when it came to essay writing." Lucy finished for him. She wasn't sure why it was one of his favorite memories, but she'd gotten that impression from the strength with which he remembered it and the strength with which it had been seared into her psyche from his. His friend had said it off handedly once when she pointed out that he'd written three paragraphs that essentially all said the same thing.

Harry's grin turned a little wistful. "Yup. So maybe I'll leave that to you." He laughed. Their cups disappeared. "I'll be around a while longer anyway. I want to help Magnolia rebuild. I'm uniquely qualified."

He was. His repairing spells were able to rebuild a home in a single day that would've taken weeks of labor otherwise.

"As I understand it the town rebuilt the guild hall for you guys. So this is kind of like Fairy Tail paying them back in a way even if I'm no longer technically Fairy Tail."

He was standing, apparently drawing his self appointed break time to a close.

"Oh, Wendy wanted me to ask if your spirit that does the hair cuts could help her out." He said, turning back from the top of the stairs. "She's rocking the half cut look right now. It's very punk rock, but I think she wanted it evened out."

Lucy laughed. "I'll find her."

"And Lucy…"

She paused, halfway between standing and sitting. She glanced back at him again. His face looked a little less cheerful, a little more serious.

"Keep in touch, okay?"

Minerva had been antsy about what to do once Tartaros had fallen. It turned out not to be much of an issue at all. Harry and the Fairy Tail healer had offered to help with her demon conversion issue. They hadn't been able to remove whatever Kyoka had done to her completely, but she was mostly back to being a basic human. By the time that they'd finished she'd been confronted by the very odd sight of Sting and Rogue.

She hadn't known what to say. The last time Minerva had seen them she'd still been convinced that her father's ideals were correct. She felt like a different person and her past actions were embarrassing to say the least. It had been a non-issue as well. Sting and Rogue welcomed her back to Saber Tooth like she hadn't behaved like a raging sociopath. She hadn't cried. If anyone asked she would deny it.

She got much the same reception when she walked through the doors of Saber Tooth. Her guild welcomed her with open arms and smiles. It was like looking at Fairy Tail all over again, but these were faces she knew. Faces she'd always hoped she could greet without fear of being seen as weak.

Minerva might've cried that time, but only a little.

The water danced in the setting sun. Gentle ripples distorted the light as Erza watched it. This was the same place she'd once had a conversation about armor with Harry at. It was his favorite spot to come to in the evenings and Erza wondered if she'd wished he was there. She didn't know if she wanted to talk or if she just wanted to sit next to someone and feel some sense of security for a few minutes.

Her mind kept flashing back to the torture chamber on the Tartaros base and blurring the images with ones of her childhood. Stripped bare and humiliated. She wished she could bury those memories forever and never have them resurface. She could still feel her arms trembling at the mere thought of it all.

"Fancy meeting you here."

Harry had strolled up and leaned against the edge of the bridge. He gave her a smile. She wasn't sure what that statement meant.

"It's almost like you knew where I hang out in the evenings." He gave a huff of laughter as he pulled himself onto the banister of the bridge. And settled a box in his hand against his lap. "Something on your mind?"

How would she even being to explain what was on her mind? She shivered.

"I was hoping to run into you actually." He said, shifting his box. "You've been elusive lately."

"Have I?" she hadn't meant to be. She hadn't made up her mind about what she'd be doing now the Mast… now that Makarov had disbanded Fairy Tail, but she hadn't meant to give the illusion that she was avoided her former guild mates. He just laughed again and stretched out far enough that she could take the box without having to get down from his seat. "What is it?"

He motioned for her to open the box with an amused look. She lifted the lid and stared down at the soft, silky fabric in red and gold. Confused, she lifted it from the box. It almost looked like an elegant evening gown, but the cut was more open at the bottom to accommodate leg movement and the top was fastened off to the side and sleeveless.

"They were called qipao, if I remember correctly." He said as she stared at the clothing, fascinated and mildly confused. "I actually asked a shop in town to make it a while back. They… uh… weirdly already had your measurements on file."

Erza nodded distractedly, prodding at one of the fancy fastenings. She had accounts with most of the clothing vendors in Magnolia. She was constantly looking for new armors or just new outfits. This seemed to fall under the latter which was probably why she was as confused as she was. It was beautiful, but Harry didn't strike her as the type to walk around gifting women dresses for no reason.

"I enchanted it, a lot like the other one I did for you. I tried a few new ideas and I was able to get more creative this time." He explained. She felt a flurry of warmth in her chest. It WAS armor. That was much more exciting. "Consider it at least a little bit of pay back for all the swords I destroyed during the trials."

Erza glanced up. Ah, there was that wasn't there. Harry had literally just made S class in a now defunct guild. The had to be upsetting. He didn't seem particularly perturbed though. He was swinging his feet and smiling casually like they both hadn't just lost their employment and home. His feet did slowly come to a stop and he was looking behind her.

Erza glanced backward and felt her heart leap into her throat. Jellal was standing there looking between the two of them with confusion and a bit of some other emotion Erza was having a hard time identifying. In the distance, but coming up slowly behind him were several other figures sporting cloaks that matched Jellal's.

"Jellal…" she breathed his name, eyes wide and hands clutched in the soft fabric like it was her tether to this moment.

"Erza." He nodded.

"Harry." Harry said his own name seriously in the background and then chuckled like it was the height of humor. "Glad to see you're not dead, Jellal."

"And the same to you." Jellal offered warily. "You seemed about to do something reckless when we parted."

Erza turned so she could see both men in her line of vision. Harry shrugged. "Who says I didn't?"

Erza smiled. She knew what he'd gotten up to that night. Reckless was certainly one word for it. When she glanced back at Jellal he was giving both of them a measuring look, but his eyes came to a rest on Erza as the rest of his group caught up.

"I came to make sure you were okay." He offered, nodding in her direction.

"I will be."

Jellal nodded like he knew what she meant, and Erza was certain after a second that he did. They'd known each other too long. She was certain he could see the pain in her expression even as she tried to hide it. "Good." He offered at last, eyes darting to Harry once more then back. "Move forward Erza, along the path of light. And never waver."

Jellal gestured to his group and Erza was shocked to see the Oraceon Seis trailing behind Meredy. Her eyes flew to Harry who was watching the group with false ease. Erza could just read the tension in his shoulders.

"Keep them in line Jellal." Harry said, eyes snapping to Jellal's. "I'll be watching." With the last statement Harry's eyes flashed back to the group with an almost predatory gleam in them. The group gave him a wide berth as they passed.

When they'd disappeared around the corner Erza turned back to Harry. All the tension had leaked out of his stance and he was giving her an easy smile again. It was almost disconcerting how quickly he snapped from serious to not. It was her only clue that his demeanor in that moment might not be entirely genuine.

"You knew they were with him?"

Harry nodded. "They're the reason I was delayed in returning to the guild. They were very intent on killing Jellal when I showed up." He shrugged. "Jellal assures me they've seen the error of their ways and are ready to fight the good fight and all that other nonsense people say when they've decided to stop intentionally being an arsehole."

A surprised laugh forced its way out of Erza's mouth. She hadn't really ever heard the man swear before and he'd done it with the weirdest accent she'd ever heard.

"Your accent just there, what was that?" she'd heard snippets of it here and there but usually the moments it slipped out were not moments to ask idle questions.

He hummed as he looked up. Then seemed to catch what she meant. "Oh, I spent a lot of time around Americans later in my life. Their accents were strangely similar to the one here in Fiore. When you're exposed to something long enough you sort of adapt to fit in." he shrugged. "It's not the accent I was raised with though."

"Oh…" that almost sounded like gibberish to her. Erza hadn't heard too many foreigners talk, but the ones she had met hadn't had particularly outlandish accents.

He laughed. "Have enough Americans say 'bottle of water' in an English accent around you and you'll do anything to make it stop." His head cocked to the side with a grin. "My normal accent sounds more like this."

He was still speaking the same language, but the words rolled differently. It was so strange. "Fascinating." She found herself saying in response.

Harry snorted. "Sure." He hopped off the banister and fixed her with another grin. The sun had set and the last rays of twilight were all that lit the night sky. "Same time tomorrow?"

Erza was certain his tone was playfully mocking, but she couldn't understand why. She also wasn't sure why he was inviting her back to his spot tomorrow. She'd assumed he enjoyed the time to sit alone and think. Maybe they'd all done enough thinking alone lately. He was waving as he walked away, and even though she couldn't place a finger on why, somehow the conversation had eased the tension in her mind and driven back the horrible memories of her past.

The house was dark and empty. Kosmos twirled the spoon in her mug idly, staring out the window. The sun was setting and she hadn't seen Harry all day. She wondered what he was planning on doing now that their plans of staying with Fairy Tail had fallen through. She'd started to grow attached to the guild, but she suspected that he was more upset than she was in the end.

They'd been hosting Bisca, Alzack, and Asuna since the Tartaros incident. They'd taken Harry's room at his insistence. He'd even made them a wider bed and threw together a smaller bed next to it much to the little girl's delight. She was treating the predicament like an extended sleepover. It was probably for the best that she wasn't taking it too seriously. Hopefully her memory of this whole thing would fade as she got older.

Kosmos glanced at the folded blanket sitting on the couch. Harry had been sleeping in the living room. Even with him being displaced Kosmos had started to notice things going missing. No, not missing. Personal items of his were being packed away one by one.

Harry was helping rebuild Magnolia, but it was obvious that he intended to leave once he'd wrapped up here. Where he wanted to go was the mystery, and surprisingly Kosmos wasn't sure if she wanted to follow regardless of what the answer might be.

She considered seeking out Mermaid Heel. She'd heard it was an all female guild and that they had a plant specialist. She wasn't sure another guild was the right call though. Something about the disbanding of Fairy Tail felt… incomplete. She stared at her guild mark. Maybe it was just lingering hope.

No, she knew what she wanted to do. She was just afraid to admit it out loud.

The door opened and Harry wandered in looking rather chipper and escorting a rather down looking Mira. Well, Kosmos assumed she was down. She didn't have that usual smile in place that was a near constant fixture since they'd met.

"Good day?" she asked, leaning back a bit in her chair to more easily make eye contact.

"Hmm?" he glanced up. "I suppose so. What've you been up to? Anything good?"

She shrugged. She'd been helping reorganize the crops outside of Magnolia that had been uprooted. Magnolia had a lot of fields. It was taking a fair amount of time to get through. "Just replanting again." She picked up her mug and walked it to the sink. "I can probably have the fields finished by next week with all the help I've been getting."

"That's about when I'm expecting to finish town repairs." He said taking a seat across from the one she'd abandoned. He stretched over the back of the chair until she heard a pop from his back. He let out a sigh of contentment. He cracked his eyes open, still stretched out in the awkward pose as he surveyed Kosmos and then Mira who'd taken the seat next to him.

"It must be nice having magic that can actually help in situations like this." Mira frown deepened just the slightest bit. "I don't feel very useful now that the guild's bar is gone."

Harry blinked in surprise and his face did a funny sort of flip between expressions before he settled into a more sedate looking smile. It was gentler than his previous expression had been. "You're plenty useful Mira." He denied and was it Kosmos' imagination or did Mira blush?

Something ugly reared back, ready to complain. Then she took a deep breath and let the feeling go. She'd been with Harry for nearly a year. If he was going to reciprocate her feelings he would have by now. She was better off letting that attachment go. Neither of them deserved the hurt that hanging on would cause. A knot of tension in her chest loosened.

"So, any plans for what to do?" Harry asked eying them both curiously. Kosmos was actually kind of surprised he'd included her. Maybe he'd sensed her reticence about going with him.

"Nothing solid yet." Mira shook her head. "It's only been a few days though."

Harry nodded knowingly and turned his gaze on Kosmos. She crossed her arms and retook her seat. "Maybe." She admitted.

"Oh? Good." Harry smiled, genuine and bright. "It's nice to have a direction you want to go." He didn't ask what it was she wanted to do.

"What about you?" she asked.

He hummed in thought. "I've got a few ideas in mind." He said cryptically and then continued on in a more conversational manner. "Laxus woke up today. The others were thrilled."

Their conversation took a more upbeat turn. They talked about how well the restoration efforts were going and how everyone who'd been injured was recovering. Kosmos remembered seeing Harry that day and realizing that if he were a normal person she likely would have lost a friend. Whoever he fought with had tried to gut him. They'd sliced him from the center of his ribcage to his hip. Even partially healed it had been horrific to look at and because he'd taken so long to see to it properly he'd ended creating the first scar on this new body of his. Maybe it was weirdly poetic that his first scar was a permanent reminder of Fairy Tail.

"What do you think, Kosmos?"

She startled out of her thoughts and gave Mira a confused look. It had been her that asked. "About what?"

Mira smiled, it a was a shadow of her normal cheer. Kosmos couldn't help but wonder how long it would take her to feel truly happy again. "Keeping in touch."

"Oh." She glanced at Harry who just looked amused. "That sounds fine to me."

"A promise then!" Mira said, sounding much better than she had. Kosmos let out a startled laugh at the intensity. Then she nodded.

"A promise."

Wendy found Harry leaning against the railing of one of the many bridges that dotted Magnolia. He was staring at the water vacantly, obviously lost in thought with one hand supporting his chin and the other holding something she couldn't quite see.

"Good afternoon."

He startled and dropped whatever he'd been holding into the waters of the canal. He stared after it for a moment almost forlornly before he acknowledged her. "Good afternoon, Wendy. I hope you're having a better day than my sandwich." He glanced back at the canal. Oops. Not the most promising start to their conversation. She flushed and ran a hand through her hair distractedly.

"I am… or I guess I will be…" she rambled, shifting back and forth nervously. She had a request, but she hadn't seen him much since the Tartaros incident. He'd seemed a bit melancholy since it concluded. He'd been smiling more, but Wendy could tell it wasn't quite honest. She suspected he was putting on a show for the other guild members. It would be very much like him to put his own emotions on the back burner so everyone else could think about theirs.

Sure enough, her flustering seemed to bring the cheery façade sliding back into place. "Is everything alright, Wendy?" he said, smile settling almost naturally on his face. It was just a bit too wide. His eyes just a bit too distant. She frowned.

"I should be asking you that."

He gave her a confused look, but she forced herself not to fidget. She was determined to stop being the little girl from Fairy Tail who was nervous and agreeable. She'd changed since she met everyone at Fairy Tail, but she'd changed most since she met him. Soon everyone would be going their separate ways, but she wasn't ready for that.

After a long moment of just staring at each other Harry let out a huff that might have been laughter. He gestured for her to join him in looking out over the canal and Wendy moved to the railing. She could see over it just fine, but she couldn't lean against it the way he was doing. She settled for resting her arms on it and her head on them.

"Have you decided where you want to go now that Fairy Tail is disbanding?" he asked after she'd settled. Wendy glanced sideways at him. It was just past midday and the light refracting off the water was unpleasant to look at anyway. She had no idea how he could stare at it without hurting his eyes.

"I have." She said firmly.

He nodded distractedly. "That's good."

"It is." Her eyebrows furrowed a bit. He nodded, resting his hand on his chin again. "I want to stay with you."

Harry blinked and seemed to draw back to the moment, polite happiness slipping out of his demeanor. "With me?"

She nodded. She'd thought about it a lot. She had options. She'd met many other guilds during her time with Fairy Tail and it wasn't like it was the first time she'd switched guilds. Cait Shelter still felt like a second home to her. One she could never return to, but home in her own heart. Wendy wasn't sure she wanted a third home. "I want to get stronger. I want to be better at healing and fighting and I think you can help me."

He seemed to consider that for a moment before shaking his head. Her heart dropped. She couldn't force him to take her. She was certain no one could force Harry to do anything he didn't want to do.

"I had a lead to follow about something. I'll be on the road, not stationary in Magnolia."

Some of the tension in her chest loosened. He wasn't telling her she couldn't. He just thought she wouldn't want to. "That's fine!" she said, loudly. She clapped her hands over her mouth in embarrassment, but when she met his eyes she saw the first glimmer of his normal self in the week since everything had happened.

"What does Carla have to say about it?" he was clearly amused by her outburst.

Wendy's brow pinched. "Carla will follow me where ever I go."

He nodded like he'd expected that answer. "Kosmos won't be coming." He said and she felt a bit of surprise at that. The two had wandered into Fairy Tail together. She'd expected they'd wander away together as well. "So, I suppose I do have a travel companion spot opened up."

Wendy felt her heart soar. She beamed at the words. She'd expected to have to plead her case, but she should have expected that he wouldn't make her do that.

"The town renovations are nearing completion sooner than we'd expected." He said, melancholy slipping back into his tone. "I was planning on leaving once they're done. Another few days at most."

She nodded along. He paused and gave her a lingering look. "We should probably let Porlyusica know." He said with a sad smile. "You called her Grandeeny the first time we met, right?"

Wendy's eyes shot wide. His green eyes shined with amusement. Sometimes he could remember things with such clarity that seemed mundane and forgettable. How had he remembered the slip of a name months ago and realized it was significant.

"When we first met I would've been hard pressed to say the two were similar in any way." He said thoughtfully. "But Porlyusica's kinder than she lets on."

Wendy nodded enthusiastically. No one else ever seemed to see Porlyusica the way Wendy did. Maybe it helped that Wendy had known her Grandeeny first.

"The first time we met she fed me when I wandered out of a forest half naked." He mused.

Wendy couldn't picture it.

Harry meandered toward the spot where the guild hall once stood. It was the only thing he hadn't rebuilt. Its destruction seemed to mean something to the people from Fairy Tail. The crater where it once stood was symbolic to them, a message of endings and new beginnings. Harry didn't need that symbol. This was a process he was intimately familiar with even if he wished he wasn't. He could leave this chapter of his life behind if that was what was necessary. He'd learned how to cut ties more than once in his life.

Harry hadn't seen Makarov since the day after the Tartaros incident had concluded. The old man had disappeared and strangely, so had Mavis. He'd come back each day hoping to talk to them at least once more, but thus far he'd had no luck. He paused outside the crater for a moment. Memories of the first time he'd seen it like this filtered through his mind. The hurt, the emptiness, the cold rage. They'd hit him as hard now as they had when he was a young man staring at the destruction of his world.

He kicked a rock into the crater, watching it tumble until it came to a rest as the base of a mound of rubble. Rubble which was sporting the unmoving figure of Mavis. They watched each other for a few long minutes, unmoving and unspeaking. Eventually she gave him a weak smile and waved for him to follow.

She led him to the familiar staircase and down to her lacrima, still safely hidden from the world by some strange mechanism and most people's lack of knowledge of its existence.

"I was wondering if I'd get to see any of the Fairy Tail members again before they wandered off to start their new lives." She mused with half a smile that felt entirely forced. "Makarov was hopeful that you'd all be able to move on quickly."

He shrugged, exhausted. His guild mates, or perhaps former guild mates now, had indeed started to drift from Magnolia. With reparations done there was nothing holding them here any longer. Work had dried up without a guild to receive jobs through and many of them hadn't had savings to fall back on. Especially with their home destroyed and personal effects in the wind.

"You both disappeared." He said, perhaps not accusatorily but certainly close. "Even if the guild was disbanding there are still people who were looking for Makarov… and you."

"Me?" she gave him a startled look for a moment. Then she met his eyes and a gentle smile was filling her face. "You?"

He nodded, trying to match it on instinct. He was certain it fell short. "I wanted you to know I ran into Zeref."

"Oh…" the word came out of her mouth like she'd been punched in the gut.

"You might have been right." His head tilted to the side. "He seemed inordinately interested in my magic. I could feel him reach out to it."

Mavis wasn't smiling anymore. She looked concerned. "What did he do?"

"Nothing really." Harry shrugged. "It was like he was testing it. I knew he could tell I sensed him doing it. So, he stopped. He asked me a strange question and then he left and took the book he was after with him."

"The book he was after?" Mavis' eyes narrowed.

"I didn't get much look at it. Pretty sure it said 'end' on it."

"E.N.D."

When she said the letters like that it rang a bell in the back of his mind, but he couldn't puzzle out why.

"What question did he ask you?"

"If I'd found an answer to his question… I think that was how he worded it." Harry supplied, still as confused now as he'd been standing on that hill. "He implied we'd met before, but I'm certain we never have."

Mavis nodded, concern pinching her brow. She was obviously thinking the weird statement over as well.

"Did he say anything else?"

Harry shrugged. "He made a comment about ending things with Natsu, but apparently Acnologia interfered by being there or something along those lines. I asked what Natsu had to do with any of it and he said everything. Very cryptic."

Mavis shook her head. "Not cryptic." She said sadly. "Zeref's demons have something called the etherious form. It is their strongest and most primal form, full of rage and power. E.N.D. stands for Etherious Natsu Dragneel."

Shock was an understatement. Harry was certain his eyebrows had disappeared into his hairline. "Natsu? Our Natsu?" He couldn't picture Natsu viciously attacking people like Tartaros had done. He seemed human by most accounts, save the weird dragonish senses and… oh. Harry had felt something off about them when they'd met. It was small though. Like a seed at the very center of a pot of soil. Completely unnoticeable until its potential was tapped. Was Natsu a ticking time bomb planted in Fairy Tail? Mavis said she had history with Zeref. Was this somehow a targeted thing?

"Whatever you're thinking, you're wrong." Mavis cut through his spiraling thoughts.

Harry glanced down. "Maybe." He relented with a sigh. "Hopefully."

"Everyone is drifting away from Magnolia." Mavis' statement had nothing to do with the Natsu's situation, but he found himself pulled away from the topic effectively. "What have you decided to do?"

Harry slipped a small piece of paper from his vest pocket. It was worn from the number of times he'd opened it to look at the short message. He flipped it open again now and showed it to Mavis.

"Coordinates?"

"It's supposed to be where the group who kidnapped me got their information. Apparently, there is still more there." He said turning the paper back toward himself. He folded it along the worn lines and slid it away again. "I want to see what's left of my people… even if it's little more than books in a library."

"Having something from back then can be important." She said smile as melancholy as he felt. "I understand."

Harry felt like she really might.

"Keep in touch." Mavis' voice was serious.

He laughed. "Concerned Zeref might snatch me in the middle of the night?"

She just stared back. He sighed.

"Magnolia is just an apparation trip away and I've already promised to keep in touch with Mira." He said with a small smile. "I'll let you know what we find."

"Harry..." he raised an eyebrow. Mavis was shifting like she wasn't sure how to say something. "Whatever happens... keep in touch."

He left her there with a second promise, but pondering the strange way she'd made the request.

"Do you have everything?" Harry asked, double checking that Wendy and Carla were both in tow beside him.

"More than is logical to travel with." The cat shot back.

"Good, only way to travel." He replied with a grin. "Over prepared."

Carla scoffed and Wendy laughed.

"Let's get going!"
