Hello everyone! This is a new chapter! Chapter 13! I hope everyone will enjoy this story! Without further ado, let's start!
Normal POV
An hour after they all settled down, they had decided to take different rooms as it was getting crowded and had a goblina named Ririna, guide them to different rooms to rest in.
" If anyone else need anything else, please feel free to call the workers here. They'll be happy to serve you." Ririna said
" Thanks!"
She closed the door as they marveled at the room they were in.
" Wow! So broad!" Ren exclaimed
" Not as grand as your room in Foo Fighter's building but it really looks grand." Asaka said
" We can even have our own rooms! This easily fits our group of four people!" Ren exclaimed
" Yeah."
" Just don't break anything, okay?" Tetsu ask
" Okay!"
" I wonder what we'll be able to do now. Our world is still closing to the stake of destruction by Void and Link Joker. Can we even save it in time?" Suiko ask
" I'm sure we can. Everyone else must think the same by this point. That's why we're taking whatever chance we have right now." Ren said
" To rest?"
" Yeah. They want us to rest before the big battle." Ren said
" But we wouldn't know if we even have the time to be here resting..." Suiko said
" Me neither... But something about those two doing this, how should I say this? ... It's as if I feel like I can trust them enough to be able to rest." Ren said
Meanwhile, Miwa, Naoki and Shingo remained in Aichi and Kai's room to wait as they finally hear a groan and looked up to see Kai waking up, opening his eyes slightly.
" Kai!"
" ... Miwa...?"
He put a hand on his forehead to clear the ache as he finally remembered what had happened to him and got up, looking over to his side to see Aichi.
" What happened...?" Kai ask
" You guys got saved." Miwa replied
" ... Right... We got controlled by Void... What did we do...?" Kai ask
" Not sure. Apparently Aichi was taken here and got someone under Reverse, but that person is still resisting. Then others came and saved you guys. Then they made you make a new song with Aichi before we got dragged here." Miwa said
" And where is this 'here'?" Kai ask
" Uh... That's a little hard for us to know either. When we got here, the guide just told us to get some rest first while they settle a few things." Miwa said
" ... Damn that Void. He actually made a new song with that song I made Aichi create for Link Joker as a reference and got us controlled... I shouldn't have fallen to Link Joker..." Kai said
" Man, get over that already. We're all safe for now, so stop brooding. Right now, you need to get your strength back and we can try to help this person first." Miwa said
Kai sighed and plopped his head back down on the pillow as the other three decided to exit the room and relax in the living room.
" Why didn't you tell him who guided us here?" Naoki ask
" He's always having a headache thinking about Void and the other things, wouldn't want him to get another one knowing that we're in some other world with the same name and looks as them." Miwa said
" That's true..."
" When do you think they'll be coming back?" Naoki ask
" Not sure. They just said to get comfortable." Miwa replied
" Yeah..."
- A few hours later-
Aichi and Kai had finally woken up again, looking around the place that was unfamiliar to them. They got up and found Miwa and the others on the sofas and waited together with them. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door as they opened it, being greeted by Benimaru.
" You are..." Miwa exclaimed
" I'm Benimaru. I'm just here to guide you to the executives that'll be assisting you guys. Follow me, your other friends are also being guided." Benimaru said
" O... Okay."
They followed Benimaru and marveled at the sight of the buildings around them before they finally arrived at the central office. Benimaru led them to a door and knocked on it as a voice responded to allow him to open it.
" Thank you for bringing them here, Benimaru-san." 'Aichi' said
" No problem. You two have been busy for a few hours now. How is it?" Benimaru ask
" Nothing hard to handle. We've already assigned the ones that needs to do whatever they need to do." 'Kai' said
" You can return to his room now, as usual, just call if anything else happens. Also, has Milim-sama been contacted?" 'Aichi' ask
" I've asked Souei to contact her, she should be here any time soon." Benimaru replied
" Thank you."
Benimaru nodded and left, closing the door behind them as 'Aichi' set the last stack of documents aside on his desk before joining 'Kai' on the sofa.
" Have a seat." 'Aichi' said, motioning to the other sofas in the room
They settled down on the seats as Aichi and Kai looked uncomfortable at the doppelgangers in front of them.
" Oh, it's the usual reactions, don't worry about it. You'll get used to it. No one gets as surprised as they are once they know more about us." 'Aichi' said
" We should just start. So, you guys can find a way to take away the effects of Reverse?" 'Kai' ask
" That's what we believe, but as you've seen..." Ren said
" The song you had left with Rimuru-sama definitely helped out to ease the aura, quite significantly too. I'm guessing it's because you had gained a skill here, that's why the Reverse is stronger than the song." 'Aichi' said
" Skill?"
" Try concentrating, you might see or feel something." 'Aichi' said
Aichi looked down at his lap as he concentrated and finally heard a soft voice in his head.
" Huh? 'God of Music'?" Aichi ask
" That's it. You obtained it when you entered this world for the first time." 'Kai' said
" But I don't remember coming here..." Aichi said
" Void brought you here. Probably through the power of your Kirara." Ren said
" Huh? But not Akibastar? How...? I don't remember being able to go to other worlds like this other than to that place..." Aichi said
" ... Anyway, with your skill, you should be able to find a way to make a song that can overwhelm the aura." 'Aichi' said
" I should be able to... Maybe right now." Aichi said
" We can't be sure yet. You activated the skill when you were under Void's control. Whether you can generate the same amount of power depends on yourself. Learn and master that first before we progress. At least, we still have some time anyway." 'Kai' said
" Oh..."
Suddenly, the ground shook as they heard a crash outside. 'Aichi' and 'Kai' just sighed at this while the others panicked.
" An earthquake?!" Miwa exclaimed
" No..."
The doors were then swung open as the hinges broke upon impact and fell to the floor. A pink haired girl stepped inside afterwards.
" Milim-sama! We've reminded you time and again that the courtyard is not your landing ground! And open the doors gently!" 'Aichi' scolded
" But you said it was urgent! I hurried here!" The girl, Milim exclaimed
" I know, but think about Rigurd-san! He has to repair them again! ... Sit down and I'll get some snacks while we talk." 'Aichi' sighed
" Snacks?! Okay!"
Milim sat down on the sofa while 'Kai' made his way into another room. A few minutes later, 'Aichi' returned with a tray of snacks and drinks. Setting the tray down on the table, he laid them out and placed the tray at his desk while Milim gobbled down the snacks.
" Eat slowly." 'Aichi' said
" Okay!"
" You guys too. Must be exhausting from what happened back there." 'Aichi' said
" R-Right..."
" So, what was so urgent that I had to come alone?" Milim ask
" Well, it's about Rimuru-sama and we needed a small help." 'Aichi' explained
" Hm... Is that why these people are here?" Milim ask
" Yes. I'll show you to Rimuru-sama later. Just have your snacks first." 'Aichi' said
" ... Okay."
They silently had their drinks and snacks as 'Kai' finally came out from the room with the child from before in his arms.
" Hey."
" Oh, he woke up already?" 'Aichi' ask
" How couldn't he?" 'Kai' sighed
They sweat dropped and looked over to Milim, who was happily munching her snacks. 'Kai' glanced over to 'Aichi' to make sure he wasn't watching as he took a bite of a cookie before quietly giving the child the small part that he didn't eat.
" Kai-kun."
'Kai' flinched a little as he sweated while looking at 'Aichi' and his smile.
" What were you doing?" 'Aichi' ask
" Uh... Feeding him?" 'Kai' muttered
" What did you feed him?" 'Aichi' ask
" A... cookie...?" 'Kai' replied
'Aichi' took the child from his arms and handed him over to Miwa before dragging 'Kai' into the room, closing the door behind them.
" Uh..."
" Hey, buddy... So, what's your name?" Miwa ask, still awkwardly holding the child by his armpits
" Tasuku is Tasuku!"
" That's a nice name! My name is Ren!" Ren greeted
" I know!"
" Huh?"
" I have an Uncle Ren too! He looks just like you!" Tasuku said
" ... How old are you, buddy?" Miwa ask
" Three!"
" You're pretty fluent for one." Misaki said
" I read books with Mama and Papa a lot!" Tasuku said
" I see..."
" Those guys say this quite a bit." Milim said as she licked off the crumbs on her fingers, " They talk about how gifted and mysterious Tasuku is, even as a baby."
" I get the gifted part but mysterious?" Jillian wondered
" Well... Something about him dying as a newborn about hundreds and thousands of years ago and reincarnated along with them. Also something about how he seems to be able to perceive things at a few months old." Milim recalled
" It's true! I wanted to be with Mama and Papa, so I came with them!" Tasuku said
Suddenly, Tasuku was taken from Miwa as they looked over to see 'Aichi' as he patted Tasuku.
" And we're happy you did that, but please don't say it again. You might get people's attention if you talk like that." 'Aichi' said
" Mama!"
" You can have the cookies but limit yourself to three pieces a day for now, okay? We don't want to spoil your teeth from eating too much at once." 'Aichi' said
" Okay!"
While Tasuku was sat down and given another cookie, Milim finished her tea and set her cup down.
" Now then... What did you want to tell me about my best friend?" Milim ask
" ... I guess it's obvious, huh." 'Aichi' sighed
" Rimuru will always scold me first whenever I crash land, but today's too quiet and I sense a magicule concentration in one room. You two seem different too, there's been changes to your magicules." Milim said
" Well, I guess that makes sense. Our skills were sealed, after all." 'Aichi' said
" Sealed?"
" They'll be unlocked again sooner or later. We can manage without skills, but... You know where I'm getting at, Milim-sama?" 'Aichi' ask
" And Rimuru?"
" His condition's been stable, for now. We just need to unlock the seals over his skills. He'll be back to normal afterwards. That's why these people are here." 'Aichi' said
" They barely have magicules." Milim said
" But one of them gained a skill upon coming here, thankfully still human too. We need his skill, but while we're preparing him, we need someone powerful to watch over Rimuru-sama with the others. Some of the executives informed are still waiting for him to recover. That's where we need your strength, Milim-sama." 'Aichi' said
" Fine."
'Aichi' nodded and fed Tasuku the last cookie before getting up from the seat. 'Kai' came out of the room, rubbing his head, as they all headed out to Rimuru's room. After speaking to Diablo and Shion guarding the door, 'Aichi' then pushed open the door and they entered it.
" Milim-sama!"
" I've told her about the circumstances." 'Aichi' said
He turned his head to the bed, surprised to see that Rimuru was sitting up.
" Are you feeling better already?" 'Aichi' ask
" Yeah, thanks to this song..." Rimuru said, glancing at the earpieces still inserted in his ears, " I've gotten back enough strength to move again..."
" Outright resisting Reverse is reckless, but it's a miracle he could manage it and even move." Leon said
" Of course! Rimuru's really strong, after all!" Veldora let out a laugh
" Alright, Veldora. We get it." Rimuru sighed
" He's been using the aura of the Demon Lord to fight off the evil aura. Milim-sama, in event that he might falter, we need yours to stave off that aura too." 'Aichi' said
" I can help too!" Veldora exclaimed
" You can't control your aura once you spew it out, so you'll harm the city and the people. Just be here for him, Veldora-sama." 'Aichi' said
" Aw..."
" I'll do it, but I believe in Rimuru so I won't be seeing the need to use my own aura!" Milim exclaimed, puffing out her chest
" Thank you, Milim-sama. We might have found our solution to the problem, but we just need a little bit more time." 'Aichi' said
" I'll definitely do something about this! It was my fault that this happened..." Aichi said
" Don't worry about it. You were controlled so it wasn't you that did it." Rimuru assured
" Ru-nii..."
" I'm fine, Tasuku. Don't worry. Ru-nii is strong, after all." Rimuru assured
" We'll be back soon, Rimuru-sama." 'Kai' said
" Yeah."
As they were about to leave, Aichi's Kirara suddenly left his pocket and started to float towards Rimuru. Aichi turned his head just in time to see it.
" Kirara?"
He gasped when he felt something pulsating as his eyes widened.
" No!"
At a shocking speed, Kirara had removed the earpieces from Rimuru as they looked up at it floating around the ceiling, a red tint glowing.
" Hey. Glad I left a piece of me in this thing or I'd never be able to do what I have to." A voice said
" Void!"
" You thought you could stop me by just stopping me from teleporting him away. But it's futile." Void said
The red aura reappeared around Rimuru as he let out a pained gasp and quickly used his Demon Lord's Haki again. Shion and Diablo burst in through the door after feeling Void's presence.
" Rimuru-sama!"
" Not this time. You won't be able to stop me." Void said
" What do you think you're doing to my bestie?!" Milim shouted
" You're going to pay for this!" Shion shouted as she started drawing her weapon
" Your punishment will be the harshest one yet." Diablo said
" You've crossed the line this time!" Benimaru shouted
" Stop, all of you! You'll destroy this place if you attack it!" 'Aichi' exclaimed as he turned to Veldora, who immediately whistled to pretend he wasn't going to join in, " You too!"
" That's just some sort of medium Void is speaking through! It's not the real Void!" 'Kai' exclaimed
" Now do you understand? No matter how powerful one can be, they can't stand a chance against me!" Void laughed
" Void...!"
Aichi looked over to Rimuru as the two auras clashed and then back at Void as he clenched his eyes shut, thinking.
" If only I know how to use this skill, I can save him! Come on! Think of something before it's too late!" Aichi thought
" Don't bully Ru-nii!" Tasuku cried
A burst of light came from nowhere as it took on a dragon-like form and roared.
" What?! My hold over this thing...! It's fading...?!" Void exclaimed
Letting out a last yell, Void's presence seemed to have vanished from the Kirara as it blinked. Rimuru also dissipated the dark aura as Kirara floated down to return the earpieces.
" Oh, thanks..."
While he plugged his ears again, he looked at the dragon of light as Tasuku continued crying.
" ... What...?"
" Did Tasuku..." 'Kai' exclaimed
" He summoned a tiny dragon!" Veldora exclaimed
" Pretty amazing..." Miwa exclaimed
" He managed to get rid of Void by just crying..." Ren exclaimed
The dragon let out another roar before disappearing as it left behind a card in 'Aichi's' hand.
" A card...?"
'Aichi' comforted Tasuku and assured him before they quickly took their leave.
" Let's hurry. Void's getting restless." 'Aichi' said
" Yeah!"
" You have to teach me how I can utilize this skill. I'll do anything to save him." Aichi said
'Aichi' nodded as he and 'Kai' led them back to their office again. Kai got a cup of water for Tasuku as he drank from it to quench his thirst after crying.
" Onii-chan will be alright, Tasuku-kun. Don't worry, okay?" 'Aichi' assured
" Okay..."
" Seriously though... The gifted part of the kid is definitely seen clearly." Miwa said
" Yeah."
Tasuku yawned after drinking the water as 'Kai' leaned him on his stomach and he quickly drifted off to sleep.
" Now then, let's have a quick look at your skill. Actually, you'll have to look at it yourself since it's inside you. Write them down afterwards." 'Aichi' explained as he procured a pen and paper
Aichi nodded as he concentrated on the skill and wrote down what it seems to do and other skills that came with it. He then handed it over as 'Aichi' read it.
" The resistances are what we normally have. Physical Attack Resistance... Mental Attack Resistance..." 'Kai' read, having peeked over 'Aichi's' shoulder, " Thought Acceleration and Thought Communication..."
" Universal Sense... Thermal Resistance... The rest are the same for now. The problem is..." 'Aichi' said as he read further down the list, " ... Destiny Conductor and Apollo's Lyre."
" Isn't Apollo that? The God of Music from Greek and Roman mythology that everyone knows?" Ren ask
" Thus the name of the skill. But Lyre... It's an instrument but you can summon it?" 'Aichi' confirmed
" That's what I can tell from the skill." Aichi said
" ... I don't like this. Why is this even named Destiny Conductor...?" 'Kai' pointed out
" Conductor is someone that directs a tempo of a song score to an orchestra. But in this case... He's became more like a Concert Master." 'Aichi' said
" You mean, it's related to the Tatsunagi family?" 'Kai' ask
" At least from the description of the skill. But it's not an exact connection with Cray and Earth, like the real Concert Master." 'Aichi' said before putting down the list, " Looks like your PSYqualia has influenced one of your skills. Reading this tells me that you can potentially tune someone's destiny according to your will."
" Tune someone's destiny?" Aichi repeated
" ... That's it, Aichi! Isn't that the one?! Void could only seal our skills and yet he didn't try to Reverse us. Because he knows that we couldn't be controlled unless..." 'Kai' exclaimed
" ... Unless there was someone there that could alter the results of Reversing someone resistant." 'Aichi' said
" ... Me?"
" Yeah. That means your next song needs to be effective enough to overwrite the destiny you tuned for Rimuru-sama." 'Aichi' said
" Then let's hurry! We can get to Akibastar and make one new song! With enough dualium there, it'll be more effective than normal!" Ren said
" Yeah!"
However, 'Aichi' was soon interrupted by someone communicating with him.
" Aichi! You and Kai have to hurry here! Rimuru-sama is..."
