Don't Go Breaking My Heart!

(Chapter Twenty-Five)

"Dean! What the hell? What are you doing? Why are we leaving Sam behind?!" Beck demanded. She turned around and watched Sam yell and chase after them through the back window.

Dean did not answer and continued to drive.

"Dean talk to me. What's going on? Baby, I'm worried about you." Beck said trying to convince Dean to speak to her.

"What you said back there. You called me your boyfriend. You mean that?" Dean asked finally speaking.

"Yes." Beck replied confused.

"I meant what I said too. I can't live through you dying again. I can't." Dean told her.

Beck pressed her lips together to stop the tears forming in her eyes. She took a breath and scooted next to Dean. She curled up on the seat and rested her head on his shoulder, putting her bandaged arm, wrist, and hand on his lap.

Dean shifted his body and wrapped his arm around her.

After two hours of driving, Dean parked the Impala in a parking lot outside a hotel.

"C'mon, how bout we have a little alone time?" Dean asked his voice dripping with suggestive meaning.

"If you wanted to get me alone to have sex you didn't have to ditch Sam ya know. I would have paid for a separate motel room and spoken to Sam." Beck replied with a roll of her eyes.

"Yeah well, maybe it's more than that." Dean told Beck.

The pair went into the hotel, Beck look around the lobby as Dean went to the front desk to see about a room. Dean walked back over to Beck with a room key and nodded his head for her to follow. The lovers found the elevator. Dean pressed the up button and the car doors opened. They got in the elevator and when the door had shut, Dean pressed the button for the top floor. Beck and Dean exited the elevator on the top floor. Beck followed Dean to their room, once he got the door open he held up his hand for her to wait.

"C'mere." Dean said.

Beck gave him a confused smile and walked to him.

Dean swooped her up and carried her bridal style into the hotel room.

"Dean, what the heck are you doing? Put me down." Beck laughed.

"In a minute darlin'." Dean replied before sitting her on the bed.

"Dean, is this the Honeymoon Suite?" Beck asked looking around the room from the bed.

"Yup." Dean replied.

"Look at you, suddenly you're Mister Romance." Beck teased.

"Oh, you're gonna be funny now huh?" Dean grinned and playfully attacked Beck.

Beck squealed and laughed, and scrambled to the top of the bed. Dean crawled up to her, Beck flopped on the bed being mindful of her left hand, and watched as Dean hovered over her.

"'Ur wrist doin' okay?" Dean asked.

"I'm fine, baby." Beck replied reaching up with her good hand to stroke Dean's cheek.

Loving him was so easy.

Dean lowered himself to kiss Beck and she responded in kind.

Beck arched her hips up to Dean's while they kissed and moaned.

She wanted him. Dean broke their kiss and gently helped Becky take off her clothes.

Beck lay on the bed naked, watched her boyfriend get up, hurriedly take off his own clothes and rejoin her in bed.

Beck and Dean spent what was left of the night making love and sleeping.

Beck yawned and sat up the next day at about noon to find the other side of the bed empty.

"No. No. No. No. No." Beck repeated softly to herself, praying that she was wrong and Dean had not left her.

Beck scrambled out of bed, found her clothes, and quickly got dressed.

She searched the Honeymoon Suite for any sign of Dean and found none.

Beck raced over to the window, looked out it, and realized she was in Sioux Falls.

She went back to the nightstand, picked up the phone, and rang the front desk.

"Front desk." the lady on the other end of the phone said.

"Yes this is the Honeymoon suite would it be possible for you to ring me a taxi please." Beck asked the woman politely.

"Certainly ma'am do you have a preferred cab company?" the front desk lady asked,

"No, whichever company is the easiest for you will be fine." Beck replied.

"Alright, ma'am we will ring you when your cab has arrived is that alright?" the front desk lady requested.

"Perfect. Thank you so much for your help." Beck responded.

"Your welcome and have a nice day." the front desk lady said pleasantly.

"You too." Beck replied and hung up the phone.

Beck sat on the bed, alternating between being fuming mad and trying not to burst into tears. Twenty minutes later the bedside table rang.

"Hello." Beck answered the phone.

"Your cab is here ma'am." the front desk lady said.

"Thank you, I'll be right down." Beck responded.

Beck hung up the phone, walked to the door, and exited the Honeymoon Suite. She walked to the elevator and pushed the down button. The doors opened, Beck stepped into the car, and once the doors were shut she pushed the lobby button. When the elevator had reached the lobby the door opened and Beck exited the car. Beck crossed the lobby floor, waved her thanks to the front desk, and head out the hotel door.

Beck saw her cab, opened the backseat door, climbed in, and shut the door.

"Where to miss?" the cab driver asked.

"Do you know where "Singer Salvage" is?" Beck asked.

"Sure do." the cabbie responded.

"There please." Beck instructed.

"Alright." the cabbie cheerfully agreed and drove to "Singer Salvage".

Once they arrived at "Singer Salvage" Beck asked, "How much do I owe? I'll send my dad out to pay you."

"You're Bobby's little girl?" the cabby asked.

"Yes, I am." Beck said with a little pride.

"Then this one is on me. Bobby's an old friend. Just tell him "Al," said hi and will call it even." Al told Beck.

"Thank you, Al. I will." Beck thanked Al and exited the cab.

Beck ran up to the front door of the house, opened it, turned around and waved to "Al" and went inside the house.

Beck closed the front door and called out, "Dad, where you at?"

"In the kitchen, little girl." came the gruff voice of Bobby Singer.

Beck walked down the hall and into the kitchen. She found her father over by the fridge having a beer.

"Al says hi." Beck told him, walked over, took his beer out of hand, and took a drink.

"Thirsty, girl? How'd you meet Al?" Bobby asked.

"He drove me over in his cab from the hotel." Beck answered.

"Okay, what the hell happened?" Bobby demanded.

"Stand up first and then I'll tell you." Beck told her father.

"My legs don't work remember." Bobby stated.

"Yes, they do. Just humor your daughter and try." Beck responded.

Bobby put both hands on the armrest of his chair and pushed himself up into the standing position. He stood there with his hand at his sides looking astonished and then took a few steps forward. He could walk.

"What did you do?!" Bobby demanded looking at Beck.

Beck walked around the back of the wheelchair, folded it up, and slid it against the fridge's side. She handed her father back his beer, opened the fridge, grabbed a fresh one for herself, and closed the door.

Beck walk around her father and went into the study.

Bobby watched her momentarily and then followed her.

Beck sat on the bed in front of the window seat and cracked open her beer.

Bobby came into the study, leaned slightly against his desk, and looked at his daughter.

"Which part do you want first. No more wheelchair or what happened that ended with me getting a cab ride from Al?" Beck requested.

"Let's start with my legs." Bobby replied.

"I'm sorry about that. I should've told you a lot sooner but I got caught up in a lot of crap with the guys. So short version is I made a deal with the demon Crowley for you to be able to walk again." Beck told him.

"You sold your soul so I could walk?! Bobby demanded.

"No, I mean I offered but Crowley didn't want it. He wanted something else in exchange. I agreed and ta-dah no more Ironsides." Beck explained.

"So what did he want Becks?" came the voice of Sam Winchester came from the study doorway.

"Sam!" Beck cried elated to see her best friend.

Beck put her beer down, jumped up from the bed, ran to Sam, and gave him a hug. Sam hugged Beck back, gingerly pulled her away from him, and examined her bandage.

"So Dean ditched you too, huh? Sam asked.

"Yeah but not here. I came here in a cab. Thankfully, my driver, is a friend of dad's so lucky me no cab fare needed to be paid." Beck told Sam.

"Alright, just what the hell is going on?!" Bobby yelled.

Beck sighed and returned to the bed with Sam.

Together Sam and Beck filled Bobby in on the events that took place in Blue Earth, Minnesota.

"So, Dean just took you for a romantic night and pull a one-night stand on you. He left you with no cash, clothes, or your phone." Sam confirmed disgustedly to Beck.

"He left in Sioux Falls knowing dad was nearby so he didn't really strand me." Beck tried weakly to excuse her boyfriend.

"Becks, he kidnapped you basically and left me with more than he left you." Sam told her.

"We can kick his ass when we find him. Sam, are you sure he's decided to say yes to Michael?" Bobby questioned Sam.

"Unfortunately yeah, I am Bobby." Sam replied.

"Okay so let's find him. We can start with tracking his cell phone." Bobby said practically.

It took a little bit but they were able to track Dean down. Sam and Beck loaded up into Beck's truck, where Cas joined them and drove to where Dean was. On the way there the three of them came up with a plan on how to deal with Dean. Beck had her own side plan that she did not intend to divulge to the other two. Beck pulled the truck up to the parking lot of the motel Dean was staying in. Sam went into the office, while Beck parked and bribed the person sitting at the desk for the room number Dean was staying in. Sam left the office and headed to Dean's room. Passing Beck's truck he nodded at pointed the way he was going to her.

"See you inside." Beck said to Cas, hopped out of the truck, and followed Sam.

"Sending someone a candy gram?" Sam asked from the doorway of Dean's hotel room.

"How'd you find me?" Dean demanded.

"You're going to kill yourself, right? It's not too hard to figure out the stops on the Farewell Tour." Sam explained.

"I'm not gonna kill myself." Dean replied.

"No? So Michael's not about to make you his Muppet? What the hell, man? This is how it ends? You just…walk out?" Sam wanted to know.

"Yeah, I guess." Dean replied.

"How could you do that?" Sam asked.

"How could I? All you've ever done is run away." Dean accused.

"That must be the biggest amount of horseshit, I have ever heard come out of your mouth, Dean Winchester! Sam has never run away. It's not running away to want a better life than the circus show John forced the two of you to grow up with!" Beck yelled at Dean as she walked around Sam and into the motel room.

"Becky...look I, uh." Dean tried to start to say as Beck walked toward him.

"Save it!" Beck snapped and * Crack * slapped Dean across the face with her good hand.

"You know I have to stop you." Sam told his brother.

"Yeah, well, you can try." Dean responded.

"Yeah, I know. But I brought help." Sam informed him.

"So, what you brought my girlfriend to slap me and guilt me into not doing this. When the main reason I am doing this is to protect her." Dean demanded.

"I don't need you to protect me, Dean. I love that you want to, but Sam's not talking about me." Beck informed her boyfriend looking over his shoulder.

Dean turned around to find Castiel standing behind him. Castiel touched his fingers to Dean's forehead, knocking him out.

"That worked. I can manage the box if you two can get Prince Charming to the truck." Beck said to Sam and Cas.

"We can manage Dean, Rebecca." Cas confirmed.

Beck opened the box addressed to her father and pulled out the keys to the Impala.

Beck closed the box, picked it up gingerly, and carried it out of the motel room to Dean's car. Sam jogged over to the Impala and help Beck put the box in the front seat.

"My keys are still in the ignition of the truck. You take it. Drive Dean and Cas back to Bobby's. I'll take the Impala and be right behind you. I'm handicapped (held up her left arm) if Dean wakes up or something goes wrong you will be able to handle it much better than me." Beck said to Sam expecting a fight.

"Okay, see you at home Becks." Sam replied and gave Beck a kiss on her forehead.

Beck drove Baby all the way back to her father's following Sam who was driving her truck. She felt severely guilty about slapping Dean. How could she really blame him for being ready to say yes to Michael when she was considering saying yes to Lucifer to take Sam's place. She knew that the angels would play dirty to get Dean's yes. Their next play should be coming up any time if she was honest. Lucifer on the other hand didn't want to coerce Sam or herself into a yes. He wanted them to say yes freely but knew that giving Beck the option to alternate herself for Sam was going to cause an internal battle and doubt. Beck parked the car next to her truck, got out, and went into the house.

"Hey dad, we're back!" Beck called out to her father.

"Yea, I saw little girl. Sam and Cas just dumped Dean on the bed in front of your window seat." Bobby told his daughter from his desk.

Beck went to the bed and checked on Dean. He looked like he was sleeping peacefully. She crouched down to him and stroked his forehead and hair.

"I love you, Dean Winchester." Beck said softly, stood up, and walked into the kitchen.

Bobby watched his daughter, smiled, and shook his head. He wondered how long it would take his daughter and the young man he loved like a son to realize that the other one was in love with them.

Dean woke up a few minutes after Beck left for the kitchen.

"Have a nice nap?" Bobby teased.

"Nap? Man, I got hijacked and apparently, you're one of my jailers." Dean snapped.

"Deal with it." Bobby told him with an eye roll.

"Yeah, no, this is good. Really. You know, eight months of turned pages and screwed pooches but tonight, tonight's when the magic happens." Dean said sarcastically.

"You ain't helpin'." Bobby said tiredly.

"Yeah, well, why don't you let me get out of your hair, then?" Dean asked.

"What the hell happened to you?" Bobby demanded.

"What happened? He's scared Dad. He doesn't know what to do so he thinks that this is the only option." Beck said entering the room with a couple of beers in her hand.

Beck walked over to Sam, who smiled in thanks. She, then, handed the other one to Bobby, who mumbled a quick thanks.

"We gotta think of something else." Bobby said.

"Yeah, well, that's easy for you to say. But if Lucifer burns this mother down, and I coulda done something about it, guess what? That's on me." Dean countered.

"You can't give up, son." Bobby said gently.

"You're not my father. And you ain't in my shoes." Dean responded nastily.

"No, I'm not your father, I love you like you're mine, but that's beside the point." Bobby told him, slightly hurt.

Bobby pulled a gun out of his desk and set it on the table. He took a bullet out of his pocket and looked at it.

"What is that?" Dean wanted to know.

"That's the round that I meant to put through my skull." Bobby remarked.

"Dad. Why would you even keep that." Beck admonished stunned.

Bobby set the bullet down on his desk in front of him.

"Every morning, I looked at it. I'd think, "Maybe today's the day I flip the lights out." But I didn't do it. I never did it. You know why? Because I promised you I wouldn't give up!" Bobby yelled at Dean.

"Both of you stop it. Dad, you promised me, that you wouldn't give up too. Long before either of us knew we were blood. Dean, no you're not his son. I'm his daughter and I know for a fact that my father had done more for you than John ever did. So watch ur damn mouth or the next time you get knocked out it will be me doing it and not Cas." Beck said first to Bobby evenly and then to Dean in a deadly quiet "don't fuck with me" voice.

Castiel grasped his head and hunched over in pain. Beck ran to him her eyes darting back and forth thinking madly.

"Cas, you okay?" Sam asked worriedly.

"No." Cas ground out.

Beck pulled the angel close to her and said, "They are bringing back, Adam Milligan. Don't ask me any questions. Just go. Bring him back here."

"I understand." Cas replied.

Castiel disappeared. Wind from his unseen wings threw papers around the room. Beck rubbed her forehead with her unbandaged hand. She then bent down and started retrieving the scattered papers.

"Becks, here let me help." Sam offered.

"Thank you, Sam. Cas will be back with company soon. I should make some food." Beck replied her voice cracking.

Beck walked into the kitchen and started gathering ingredients to cook with.

Sam walked into the kitchen after setting the papers on Bobby's desk.

Sam went over to Beck and made her stop for a moment. The minute Sam made her stop Beck allowed herself to collapse in his arms and sob against his chest. She got control of herself wiped her eyes and went back to making food.

"Thanks, Sam." Beck said feeling a little embarrassed.

"Anytime Becks, you gonna be okay?" Sam answered still feeling a little concerned.

Beck nodded her head and continued to make food for everyone.

Dean came into the kitchen, he looked from Sam to Beck and back to Sam again.

What the hell had just happened?

"I'm gonna get a beer, do you mind?" Dean asked his brother.

Sam moved out of the way of the fridge.

Beck heard the flutter of wings and felt the air start to stir.

"Cas is back. He's going to need some help." Beck mumbled to herself and wiped her hand on a kitchen towel.

Wind blew papers again and Castiel appeared with Adam's body.

Beck went to the sink with a washcloth and a metal bowl. She filled the bowl with warm soapy water.

"Help." Cas demanded slightly breathless.

"Boys! Becca!" Bobby shouted.

Castiel laid Adam down on the bed in Bobby's study.

"Who is it?" Bobby asked.

"That's our brother." Sam replied shocked.

"Cuse me." Beck said to the men.

The four men moved out of the way. Beck perched on the end of the bed and began to clean the grave dirt off of Adam.

"Wait a minute. Your brother? Adam?" Bobby interjected confused.

"Cas, what the hell?" Dean demanded.

"Rebbeca." Cas said.

"Huh, Becks? What do you mean?" Sam asked.

"Rebecca is the one who told me to got get Adam. She said she would explain after I brought Adam here. We need to hide him now." Castiel said and put his hand on Adam's chest and branded the Enochian symbols on his ribs to hide him from angels

Adam woke up gasping and confused.

"Where am I?" Adam cried.

"It's okay. Just relax, you're safe." Sam soothed.

"Who the hell are you?" Adam demanded.

"Here, give me your hand." Beck said holding out hers to Adam.

"You're Beck. They showed you to me. They said you would help me." Adam said giving Beck his hand.

"Yes, I'm Beck. The tall guy trying to be calm is Sam…." Beck started to say.

"Yeah, and that's Dean. I know who they are. I was warned about them." Adam interrupted.

"Did they also tell you that Sam and Dean are your brothers? They're also the sons of John Winchester." Beck continued as she finished cleaning the other hand.

"You mean the deadbeat who took me to a baseball game once a year before he died. Yea, I found that out before the ghoul ate me." Adam told her.

Beck snort-laughed, "Yeah him."

"Do you know where Zachariah is and who are they?" Adam asked, completely ignoring Sam and Dean and pointing to Bobby and Cas.

"The guy in the trench coat is Castiel, he's an angel too. The older gentleman by the desk is my dad Robert Singer, "Bobby." As to Zachariah, yeah, we need to talk about him, but you will probably be seeing him soon." Beck answered.

"They're not gonna let me leave here are they?" he asked looking over at Sam and Dean.

"No, but don't worry about that. Dean is on lockdown too."Beck said standing up.

"Great. They said you would help me." Adam said frustrated.

"And I will. Just chill for a little while. Get to know these two, it's something I've never regretted doing." Beck told him and went into the kitchen.

In the kitchen, Beck put the basin of dirty water and washcloth into the sink.

Beck went back to the cooking she was doing before Bobby had yelled for her and the guys. While she was arranging the food and cleaning up Sam, Dean, and Cas came into the kitchen.

"Well, this is insane. The kid has been told that he's Michael's vessel." Dean stated.

"Why would they tell him that?" Sam asked out loud.

Beck rolled her eyes. She then looked at Cas and said, "He's John's blood."

"It's not perfect, but it's possible." Cas said immediately understanding what Beck was telling him.

"What?" Sam asked.

"They're using Adam to lure Dean into saying "yes." It's a trap you yo-yos. It's also one that will get them what they want even if Dean still says no." Beck told the brothers tiredly.

"They're desperate. Maybe they wrongly assumed Dean would be brave enough to withstand them." Cas speculated.

"Alright, you know what? Blow me, Cas." Dean irritably told Cas.

"Well, there's a mental image no one needed." Beck commented.

"You know this has been a really moving family reunion, but uh, I got a thing, so—" Adam said coming into the kitchen with Bobby on his heels.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, no, no, no. Just listen, okay? Please. Adam…the angels are lying to you. They're full of crap." Sam interrupted Adam.

"Yeah, I don't think so." Adam disagreed.

"Really. Why not?" Sam asked evenly.

"Um, 'cause they're angels." Adam replied naively.

"Look, Adam…You don't know me from a hole in the wall, I know. But I'm begging you. Please, just trust me. Give me some time." Sam begged.

"Give me one good reason." Adam responded.

"How about I give you one instead. You do what they ask for a bit and I help you." Beck told Adam getting sick of the back and forth.

"But the angels already said that you would help me." Adam reminded her.

"Did they ever tell you I would do so without conditions?" Beck inquired with a wicked little smirk.

"We may be blood, but we are not family. My mom is my family. And if I do my job, I get to see her again. So no offense, but she's the one I give a rat's ass about, not you." Adam informed his brothers evenly.

"Well, now that we've all made nice, how bout some food." Beck said with sarcastic cheerfulness.

Adam played with his portion of the food Beck had made.

He saw Bobby distracted with some paper or books on his desk, and looked at the door in the kitchen to escape. Beck pretended not to notice and went down to the basement.

Beck threw some clothes into the washing machine, added soap, and turned it on.

She then went into the panic room and stood by Cas.

"Well, Cas, not for nothing, but the last person who looked at me like that…I got laid." Dean said trying to break the tension.

"Yeah, I remember. Then you ditched her in a hotel room. I might be rethinking the next time I get laid if I were you." Beck snapped.

"Uh, why don't you, uh, go keep an eye on Adam?" Sam suggested to Dean entering the "panic room".

"Is this really necessary?" Dean questioned.

"Well, I mean, we got our hands full, Dean... A house full of flight risks." Sam replied.

"I'm not letting him do it." Dean stated.

"Who, Adam? No, I'm... I'm not, either." Sam said.

"Heh, heh. Look at you two. You are so precious like you actually get a say. Sorry, to tell you this boys, but you two don't get a vote. If he wants to do it I'm helping him." Beck informed them walking to the door.

"Why would you do that?" Cas demanded, making Beck stop and turn.

"You want a list?" Beck asked incredulously.

Cas pulled his constipated bulldog face.

"How bout we just go for the big one then. It's exactly what I was sent here to do! Are you guys so self-absorbed and stupid not to have figured that out by now!" Beck yelled

storming out of the "panic room".

Beck stormed up the stairs and into the kitchen.

"Adam, c'mon. I think it's storytime." Beck said to Adam as she strode across the kitchen and out the backdoor to the junkyard.

Adam followed Beck around the junkyard for a few minutes.

"So is this the part where you make good and help me?" Adam asked.

"Not yet, first, you're going to climb up here. Second I'm going to tell you a story. When I am done if you still want to be Michael's vessel I will call Zachariah myself and go with you to the meeting place." Beck responded.

"No story you tell is going to change my mind." Adam told her.

"I'm not looking to change your mind, Adam. I want you to help me make up mine." Beck sighed.

"Make up your mind about what?" Adam asked sitting down on the top of an old truck with her.

"You'll know the answer to that by the end of my story." Beck replied.

"Becca! Is the boy out there with you!" Bobby yelled from the back door.

"Dean flew the coop and sent Cas away right!" Beck shouted back.

"Yup, Sam wants us to watch Adam." Bobby called to his daughter.

"Of course he does., Beck mumbled to Adam with a shake of her head and then yelled back to Bobby, I got him!"

"Alright here if you need me!" Bobby shouted.

"Must be nice to have a dad like that." Adam commented.

"I've only had him for a few months but yeah he's awesome." Beck replied.

"I never would have guessed you grew up without him." Adam said surprised.

"You'll understand by the end of my story. Beck said the continued, Anyway I was…"

"Sitting by a river with your cat?" Adam interrupted sassily.

"No, I wish this was that story but it's not. May I continue, smartass." Beck laughed.

Adam nodded and grinned. Beck was a cool chick and if she was going to help him like she said he might as well hear her story.

"I was heading to my car after a long day of work at the history museum, where I interned to earn college credits to get my Archaeology degree." Beck began the story coming to this reality.

"Wow." Adam said after a little time had passed.

"What?" Beck asked.

"You knew Dean for maybe a few hours and you fell for him. I thought that shit only happened in the movies." Adam said.

"Well, to be fair I had a crush on the character in my TV show long before I met the real Dean Winchester so that may have helped." Beck blushed.

Adam looked at Beck and raised an eyebrow.

"Now as I was saying. Y'all right there, girl?" Bobby called down to me." Beck continued with her narrative.

Adam listen for a short time longer before interrupting again with, "Wait a sec, so that angel friend of yours abducted you, interrogated you, and dumped you here in the house behind us?!"

"You got it. Are you going to do this the whole story?" Beck inquired.

"Sorry, I'll try not to but no promises." Adam apologized.

Beck look up rolled her eyes and went on.

Adam did his best not to interrupt until Beck came to the part of her story that involved the Lechi.

"So this thing made itself look like Paris Hilton and Sam just lopped off its head with dad's ax. That had to have been really messy and embarrassing for Dean since he got his ass kicked by it." Adam commented.

"It was glorious and so funny. But going back to the story please." Beck chuckled.

Adam nodded and Beck continued on.

Adam was quiet until Beck came to the point where she won her poker chip necklace.

"You played poker against a male witch who never lost and won! Go, Beck."

Beck smiled and blushed but continued on.

Adam piped up again when he found out that Beck sacrificed herself for Dean, Sam, Ellen, and Jo.

"You died? Keeping going I have to find out how you are here." Adam told her.

"You will." Beck assured him.

Beck continued for a while until she got to the part about the first time she and Dean made love.

"Umm, I'm just going to keep this part G rated. I'm not really comfortable giving other people the details of my sex life." Beck told Adam.

Adam chuckled and nodded as Beck continued.

"Whoa, so you really met my dad and time traveled." Adam said.

"It's nowhere near as cool as it sounds." Beck told him.

"We're coming to the end of your story aren't we?" Adam asked.

"We getting really close to the present, yes." Beck replied.

Beck took a deep breath and started to tell Adam about the most recent events that took place. Finally, Beck finished her story.

"So are you going to do it?" Adam asked.

"Become Lucifer's vessel?" Beck returned.

"Yea, that. I mean I get why you would. I become Michael's and you become Lucifer's and my brothers don't have to fight each other." Adam said following Beck's logic without her informing him.

"Yeah, that's about the idea." Beck agreed.

"You know I'm going to win right? I mean I'm on the side of the angels." Adam told her.

"Lucifer is an angel too, Adam. Fallen true, but still very powerful." Beck let Adam know.

"Would you be surprised if I said I want to do this?" Adam asked.

"No, but before I call Zachariah, I'd like to give my dad a hug." Beck said.

Adam nodded, the two of them hopped off the truck and made their way through the junkyard. Beck and Adam walked into the house. They found Bobby in the study reading some books. Beck strode over to her father leaned down and gave him a hug.

"Hey, little girl. What's all this about?" Bobby said doing his best to return his daughter's hug.

"I love you." Beck told him.

Beck walked back to Adam. Said a quick prayer to Zachariah and the two of them were whisked away before Bobby's eyes.

Beck shook her head clear and found she was in a beautifully decorated room. Adam was nearby eyeing the burgers and beer. Beck rolled her eyes, he was definitely Dean's little brother. It suddenly occurred to her that Adam was the same age as her, 24. Yet she felt years older and attributed it to everything that had happened over the past several months.

"This place is beautiful." Beck marveled.

"Glad to see you like it. It doesn't seem to impress the Winchesters or this one." Zachariah said nodding his head at Adam.

"Before I came here I was studying to be an archaeologist. I spent a lot of time in the art gallery in the Museum I worked at." Beck told the slimy angel.

"Would you like something to eat?" Zachariah offered.

"I'm not really feeling burgers and beer right now, thanks." Beck told him.

"How about something more like this." Zachariah replied gesturing to a table that had appeared nearby.

On it was champagne chilling in a silver bucket, beef wellington, stuffed mushrooms, strawberries, and a bowl of whipped cream.

"Oh wow. I haven't seen a meal like this since my 21st birthday." Beck exclaimed.

"Have a seat." Zachariah offered oily, pulling out a chair for her.

"Thank you." Beck replied, and sat in the offered seat.

Zachariah fixed Beck a plate of beef wellington and stuffed mushrooms. He then popped a bottle of champagne and filled a crystal flute for her.

"Go ahead and eat, Adam. We have plenty of time to kill while we wait." Beck called across the room to Adam taking her champagne flute from Zachariah.

Adam grabbed a burger and dug in.

"I see you and your brother share the same refined palate." Zachariah remarked to Adam.

Beck stood up with her champagne flute, grabbed a strawberry, and walked over to Zachariah and Adam.

"Ah. So, uh… We ready?" Adam asked.

"For what?" Zachariah inquired.

"What do you mean, for what? For Michael." Adam clarified.

"We're not waiting on Michael, hun. We're waiting on Dean and Sam. Their plan was to use you to lure Dean here to get him to say yes. The only thing they're willing to do for you is let you see your mom again." Beck explained gently.

"No…what about the stuff that you said? I'm supposed to fight the devil." Adam looked at Zachariah and demanded.

"Mmm, not so much. I'm afraid that she's correct. We just used you to get the guy we really care about." Zachariah confirmed.

"There's no need to be rude and rub his nose in it like a naughty puppy, ya know." Beck scolded.

"Yeah, I'm not gonna let you do this." Adam asserted.

"What I am hearing is, Zachariah said making a talking motion with his hand, and then continued, But what I want to be hearing is this". Zachariah closed his hand-mouth and caused Adam to fall on the table, spitting up blood.

"Yeah. That's better." Zachariah said approvingly.

"Fix whatever pain you caused him or you will regret it." Beck threatened.

Zachariah glared at Beck then waved his hand. He was under orders from Michael not to anger, distress, or interfere with Beck unless given explicit instructions to do so.

Beck looked at Adam. He appeared to be sleeping and undamaged. That would have to be good enough until Sam and Dean arrived. Beck narrowed her eyes at Zachariah, nodded, and took her champagne back to her seat to eat her meal. After eating Beck casually strolled about the room admiring the artwork, ignoring Zachariah.

Sometime later, it was hard to tell how long the room seemed to wash away any sense of time. Beck heard a lot of noise from outside the beautiful. She was sure it was Cas taking care of the guard angels. The boys were here and it was about to begin. Beck found a sturdy pedestal out of the way, pushed the vase on it out of the way with a grimace, climbed up, and sat down to watch the fireworks.

Dean entered the room, saw Adam, rushed to help him up, and get him out of there.

"Adam, hey. Hey." Dean said waking his baby brother.

"You came for me." Adam rasped gratefully.

"Yeah, well, you're family." Dean replied trying to be nonchalant.

"Dean, it's a trap." Adam told him.

"He already knew that, hun. I warned him earlier. He's also not stupid tho he likes to act like he is." Beck called from her pedestal.

"Becky-baby, what the hell are you doing up there?!" Dean demanded.

"Watching the show and waiting." Beck replied with a smile.

"Dean, please. Did you really think it would be that easy?" Zachariah asked popping in in front of Dean and Adam.

"Did you?" Dean countered.

Sam came at Zachariah from behind with an angel blade. Zachariah knocked it out of his hand and threw Sam against a screen.

"Sam!" both Dean and Beck yelled.

Beck hopped down from her pedestal and ran to Sam.

"Are you okay?" Sam asked her.

"Me? Sammy, I'm not the one who just got thrown across the room." Beck replied concerned.

Zachariah waved his hand and Adam fell to the floor, coughing up blood.

"Adam!" Dean cried.

"Zachariah!" Beck yelled in outrage.

Zachariah turned his fist in Sam's direction, causing him to cough up blood like Adam.

Beck turned her attention back to Sam upon hearing him start coughing up blood. Beck gulped her face turning white and worried. She whipped her head back to look at Dean and caught his eyes. She nodded, silently telling him to do whatever he had to save Sam. Beck then quietly took the angel blade from Sam.

"Okay, yes. The answer is yes." Dean told Zachariah.

"Dean!" Sam yelled.

"Sam, hush and watch our boy is done yet. Faith remember." Beck told Sam quietly.

"How do I know you're not lying?" Zachariah questioned suspicious.

"Do I look like I'm lying?" Dean retorted.

Zachariah turned and spoke in Enochian, summoning the archangel Michael, "Zodiredo…noco…aberamage…nazodpesade…He's coming."

Sam bounced a questioning look between Dean and Beck. Dean winked at his girlfriend and his brother. Beck broke out into a proud smile and gave him a quick nod.

"Of course, I have a condition." Dean informed Zachariah.

"What?" Zachariah asked rolling his eyes.

"Michael can't have me until he disintegrates you." Dean dictated.

"What did you say?" Zachariah growled.

"I said…before Michael gets one piece of this sweet ass...

"Which is mine and I don't share." Beck said to Sam.

"…he has to turn you into a piece of charcoal." Dean repeated without hearing Beck's interjection.

"You really think Michael's gonna go for that?" Zachariah scoffed.

"Who's more important to him now? You…or me?" Dean taunted.

"You listen to me. You are nothing but a maggot inside a worm's ass. Do you know who I am…after I deliver you to Michael?" Zachariah snarled.

"Expendable." Dean mocked.

"Michael's not gonna kill me." Zachariah asserted.

"No, but I am!" Beck said savagely as she thrust the angel blade into Zachariah's back.

White light and the ear-piercing noise indicated Michael was coming.

"Can you walk?" Dean asked Adam.

"Yeah." Adam replied.

"Okay, come on." Dean told him.

Dean helped Adam up and ran over to Sam and Beck.

"Come on, move it!" Dean yelled at them.

The beautiful room's door slammed shut behind Sam, Dean, and Beck, leaving Adam locked inside.

"No! Dean! Help! It won't open!" Adam yelled from the other side of the door.

Dean left Sam with Beck and attempted to open the beautiful room door from the outside. He was burned when he touched the knob.

"Dean, help! Dean!" Adam continued to yell.

"Dean-baby, stop it's too late." Beck called out to him.

The beautiful room is filled with white light. Outside, it faded, and Dean could touch the door. He opened it to find it an abandoned office.

"Adam?" He called for his baby brother.

"C'mon Sam let's get you to the car so I can check your ribs." Beck said tiredly.

Sam allowed Beck to lead him away. He looked back over his shoulder at Dean and the abandoned office.

Dean met them at the Impala as Beck was helping Sam in. She met Dean at the driver's side door, she slid onto the seat and climbed into the back.

The three of them were quiet for quite a while as Dean drove down the highway.

"You think Adam's okay?" Sam asked finally breaking the silence.

Beck sighed and said, "Only if your idea of ok is Michael's Muppet."

"Please tell me you're joking." Dean said.

Sam turned and looked at Beck. She shook her head "no". She wasn't joking.

"So, what changed your mind?" Sam asked his brother turning back around.

"Honestly? The world's ending. The walls are coming down on us. I look over to you and all I can think about is, "this stupid son of a bitch brought me here." I just didn't want to let you down." Dean replied.

"You didn't. You almost did. But you didn't." Sam said.

Beck sighed and looked out the window. She then found her voice and said, "We need to find the last two horsemen and get their rings. I think I know where to find death but I'm not sure if he's there yet. Pestilence too."

"You went with Adam because you knew this would happen. Why Becks?" Sam asked her.

"I already told you the answer to that in the "panic room", Sam." Beck responded.

"Ya know what, screw destiny, right in the face. I say we take the fight to them and do it our way." Dean said.

"Sounds good. Becks get up here." Sam replied to his brother and told Beck.

Beck climbed over the seat, sat between the two men, and unwrapped her left hand.

Whatever else had happened in that room her fractured wrist had been healed.
