Immigrant Song!
(Chapter Twenty-Six)
The Impala parked in front of the hotel at an angle.
As another clap of thunder rolled overhead Beck squeaked and ducked her head into Sam's chest.
"Hey Becks, it's okay." Sam soothed.
"What's up?" asked Dean turning his head in concern.
"Dude, do you remember how we met?" Sam countered, inclining his head to Beck.
"I've been afraid of storms like this since I was three." Beck stated into Sam's chest.
"C'mon, let's go see if we can get a room for the night." Dean proposed.
Beck sat up and looked out the windshield. It was pouring. They were going to be drenched the moment they got out of the Impala. Beck sighed, leaned over the front seat to the back, and grabbed their bags. Beck handed Sam his, plopped Dean's on his lap, and put her own on her shoulder. The Winchesters opened their respective doors, and Beck chose to get out with Sam.
"Ack! I'm melting!" yelled Beck and ran for the hotel entrance.
"You? I'm going to look like a giant drowned rat!" Sam cried racing after her.
"Hey wait up you two." called Dean running to catch up with his brother and girlfriend.
Beck stopped at the door and read the name of the hotel "The Elysian Fields Hotel."
Uh-oh. This "vacation" was probably not going to be as relaxing as Dean had planned.
Beck pushed open the door with Sam and Dean right behind her.
Beck quickly turned around, once they all were properly inside. And accidentally whipped Dean in the face with her soaking wet hair.
"Heh heh, oops, sorry Dean." Beck giggled.
Dean took both his hands and wiped his face from the inside out. He gave Becky a playful glare and then looked around at their surroundings.
"Whew. Nice digs, for once." Dean said looking around.
Beck smirked and walked up to the front desk.
The desk clerk whose name tag read "Chad." smiled at her.
"How many miss?" Chad asked her.
"One room two queens please." Beck replied holding out her bank card.
"Certainly." Chad said taking her card and typing in her information.
"Busy night." Dean said conversationally.
"Any port in a storm, I guess. Sir, I think... Shaving nick there." Chad replied handing Dean a tissue.
"Sign this please." Chad instructed Beck.
"Okay." Beck replied.
"Your key and your bank card." Chad said with a smile.
"Thank you." Beck said politely.
"Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a coffee shop, would you?" Dean asked.
"Buffet. All you can eat. Best pie in the tri-state area." Chad informed him.
"You don't say?" Dean grinned.
"So, pie?" Beck asked rhetorically.
Beck and Dean went to the buffet. Dean, obviously, got pie. Beck got a cup of coffee. They sat down at the table with Sam.
"Sam, unpucker man. Eat something." Dean told his brother.
"I think we should leave." Sam stated.
"In this storm? I-it's…" Dean protested.
"It's biblical. Exactly. I-it's friggin' Noah's Ark out there and we're eating pie." Sam interrupted.
"I don't care if the animals start lining up two by two. We have a room and I'm stayin'. You're not getting me back out in that, Sam-I-Am." Beck said firmly.
"How many hours of sleep have you and Becky gotten this week? What? Three? Four? Look we need to trust our girl more here man. She will tell us what we need to know. Bobby's got feelers out for whatever holes Becky can't fill." Dean informed his brother.
"Yeah, well, I'm not giving up." Sam said stubbornly.
"No one is giving up, Sam. All three of us are exhausted. We will be dealing with Pestilence and Death very soon. A time out will do us all some good." Beck admonished.
"Alright, Becks." Sam conceded.
"Come on you two, we've actually got the night off for once. Let's try to enjoy it." Dean encouraged.
The Winchesters and Beck ate a little more and drank a few more cups of coffee.
"I think we should head up to the room. I could use a hot shower." Beck said eventually.
"Sounds good." Dean replied with a seductive grin.
Beck smiled, shook her head, and rolled her eyes.
"T.M.I. Dude." Sam laughed.
The three of them went upstairs to their room. In the hallway Dean noticed a couple making out in front of their hotel room door. He pointed it out to Sam and Beck with a smile.
"Oh, what are you, twelve?" Sam asked.
Beck swatted Sam's arm.
"What's with the grumpy old man attitude lately?" Beck asked Sam.
Dean opened the door to the hotel room. He looked around, whistled, and said, "Wow. Look at this. We're like the Rockerfellers. Look Becky-baby, chocolates. Want yours, Sammy?"
"Knock yourself out." Sam told him.
"Enjoying yourself, Dean-love." Beck teased.
"Why not babe this place is awesome." Dean responded.
Beck walked over to Dean and planted a quick smacky kiss on his lips and put her things down next to his. She, then, went into the bathroom. Sam scoffed.
"What?" Dean inquired.
"This place...it's in the middle of nowhere." Sam told him.
"So?" Dean replied.
"So what's a four-star hotel doing on a no-star highway?" Sam wanted to know.
Beck came out of the bathroom after freshening up. Both men looked at her.
"What?" Beck demanded.
"Sam thinks that a four-star hotel in the middle of nowhere is weird." Dean answered.
"Yup." Beck agreed.
Threw the wall next door Beck and the guys heard the couple, they had passed in the hallway, enjoying their night. Then came the sound of a loud "THUMP!" against the wall of the other room. It nearly knocked the tv off the wall of the hunter's room.
"That can't be good." Dean stated.
The Winchesters decided to investigate. Beck trailed behind them.
The guys knocked on their neighbor's door. No answer.
Beck rolled her eyes, shook her head, pushed past her two men, and opened the unlocked door. The room was dark. The three of them entered, on the floor was a rather large diamond engagement ring that caught Dean's eye. He bent over, picked it up, and stood back up.
"Hello?" Sam called out.
No answer.
Dean turned to Beck and showed her the ring.
"Nice rock. Diamonds are not this girl's best friend though." Beck commented.
Sam turned around, looked at the pair, and said, "Maybe we can get some answers at the front desk."
Beck took the ring from Dean and headed to the front desk. The guys looked at each other and quickly jogged to catch up with her.
Once at the front desk Beck cleared her throat and said, "Excuse me."
"Can I help you with anything, Miss Singer." Chad responded.
"Yes, the couple in the room next to ours. I think the lady dropped this." Beck explained holding out the engagement ring.
"Oh dear, Mr and Mrs, Logan just checked out. They were in the honeymoon suite." Chad replied.
"Impulsive newlyweds." Beck commented.
"Don't worry hun. I'll put it the lost and found." Chad said taking the ring from her.
"Thanks." Beck replied and rejoined her men.
"That was creepy." Sam said.
"Broke the needle. All right, well, I'll scope out the joint with Becky. You keep an eye on Mr. Creepy." Dean told Sam.
"Be careful, Sam." Beck said then walked off with Dean.
"You too, Becks." Sam called.
Dean and Beck exited the elevator. Dean pulled out an EMF detector. Beck and Dean passed a room with its door open. An elephant held a towel. Beck gasped. Dean took a few steps back realizing what they had just seen due to Beck's gasp. He looked back into the room again and saw a man with a towel wrapped around his torso.
"This ain't no peep show!" the man yelled at them and slammed his door shut.
"Ganesh." Beck breathed.
"What babe?" Dean asked.
"Let's go back to the lobby and find Sam." Beck answered.
"Yeah, alright." Dean agreed.
They found Sam in the hallway near the lobby. Dean told Sam about seeing an elephant as the three of them entered the lobby.
"An elephant?" Sam questioned in disbelief.
"Yeah." Dean confirmed.
"Like, an elephant?" Sam repeated incredulously.
"Full-on Babar." Dean clarified.
"What the hell is…" Sam trailed off.
He looked first at Beck and then at the lobby entrance doors.
Sam went to the lobby doors and tried to open them.
They wouldn't budge.
Beck watched him and waited.
"Let me guess...it's locked." Dean said.
He and Sam looked at Beck.
"Ganesh." Beck stated.
"Ganesh." Sam repeated confused.
"The elephant-man Dean and I saw earlier." Beck explained.
"Rats in a maze."Sam groaned.
"Shall we go find the creators of this maze?" Beck inquired
"Where to?" Dean asked.
"The kitchen, perhaps. Just don't look in the stock pot." Beck instructed.
Dean, Sam, and Beck entered the kitchen. Nearby in the stock pot, a red liquid bubbled.
"Please be tomato soup. Please be tomato soup. Please be tomato soup." Dean chanted.
Sam and Dean looked into the stock pot. Dean picked up the ladle and eyes were in the ladle.
"Nope, eyeball stew. Told ya not to look." Beck crowed.
Sam walked to the freezer and looked in the window.
A hand slammed against the other side of the glass, causing Sam to jump back startled.
A man appeared in the window and shouted, "Help us! Get us out!
Sam reached into his pocket and pulled out his lock picking tool kit.
Beck gasped and was led, by the hand, out of the kitchen by an old "friend" while the Winchesters were distracted.
"Where are we going, Gabe?" Beck hissed at the archangel.
"To freshen you up before our grand entrance, darling." Gabriel told her.
Gabriel led Beck to a nearby abandoned room. Once inside he stood her in the middle of the room and used his powers.
Beck's golden curly came down from its messy bun combed and a silver band with crystal flowers appeared on her head. She looked in a small mirror on the wall and expertly done makeup appeared on her face. Beck turned back to Gabriel and tilted her head slightly to the right trying to what he was up to.
"Nearly done, gorgeous." Gabe told her.
Beck looked down and her clothes transformed into an ivory chiffon lace halter dress.
She looked in the same mirror again and believe she was the woman looking back at her.
"Hold on, Cinderella! Just one thing left." Gabe exclaimed.
Beck looked down at her weather-beaten shoes and watched them transform into ivory leather stiletto heel sandals with rhinestones on the ankle wrap. Gabe took Beck's hand, again, and led her over to the full-length mirror across the room.
"Oh!" Beck said softly in surprise.
"Don't sell yourself short Becky-doll. The delicious cake that is you was already baked I just added the frosting." Gabe complimented.
"And you're going in that?" Beck asked observing his casual attire.
"I'm good at making a grand entrance without the frosting. I just wanted you to see how that idiot you're in love with sees you." Gabe replied.
"If you say so, Gabe. Let's make that grand entrance and help my men." Beck said deciding that Gabe was spouting nonsense.
Gabriel held out his arm to her. Beck placed her hand in the crook of his arm and the two of them left the hotel room. They made their way through the hallway to the hotel ballroom where the pagan gods were gathered and Beck's men were being held.
Gabriel used his powers and the double doors of the ballroom flung wide open.
"Can't we all just get along?" Gabe said merrily, with Beck still on his arm.
Dean attempted to say "Gabriel", but a quick gesture from said archangel made the choke in Dean's throat.
"Sam! Dean...It's always the wrong place, worse time with you two, huh? Thankfully this little beauty on my arm (he turned his head to Beck) can take care of herself." Gabriel admonished.
"Loki." Baldur greeted.
"Baldur. Good to see you too. I guess my invitation got lost in the mail." Gabriel/Loki returned the greeting.
"Why are you here?" Baldur asked calmly.
"To talk about the elephant in the room." Gabriel/Loki replied.
Ganesh attempted to stand in indignation.
"Not you., Gabriel/Loki told him and continued on with, The Apocolypse. We can't stop it. But first things first."
Gabriel disengaged his arm from Beck's hand and wordlessly indicated for her to join Sam and Dean.
He look at the Winchesters and said, "The adults need to have a little conversation. Keep an eye on them, gorgeous." This last part to Beck.
Gabriel/Loki snapped his fingers and the three humans were back in their hotel room.
"Okay. Did that...Holy Crap!" Dean exclaimed.
"Yeah, tell me about it." Sam agreed.
"We need to get out of here, Soon." Beck told the two men practically.
"Alright, so what's our next move?" Sam wanted to know.
"We wait for Gabe." Beck replied calmly.
"Wait for Gabriel? Becky, are you nuts?!" Dean demanded indignantly.
"She's right, ya know. I'm here to save your asses." Gabriel said suddenly appearing.
"You want to pull us outta the fire?" Dean asked skeptically.
"Bingo! Those guys are going to dust you or use you as bait." Gabriel replied.
"Do they have a chance?" Sam questioned.
"Really Sam?" Dean admonished.
"You got a better idea, Dean?" Sam argued.
"Can you zap us outta here like you did earlier?" Beck asked, choosing to ignore Sam and Dean's bickering.
"You princess, yes. Them, no." Gabe answered her.
"Why not them?" Beck asked.
"Kali's gotta blood spell on them. Short leash deal." Gabe explained.
"But not on me? So why am I not in the freezer?" Beck questioned confused.
"You're protected. They can't touch you." Gabe replied.
"Okay, if we're doing this we're taking the hors d'oeuvers in the freezer with us." Dean stated.
"Forget it. It's gonna be hard enough getting you two out." Gabe disagreed.
"Gabe is right Dean. It's too late for them." Beck said tiredly.
"Becks, we can't just leave them there."Sam said turning to look at her surprised.
"If you say so, Sam." Beck conceded.
Gabriel rolled his eyes and said to Beck, "Whatever. I'll leave you to handle these two."
"Right. Just get the blood from Kali and don't get caught. She's on to you." Beck warned Gabe.
"Don't worry, doll. I got this, time to go work that ole' black magic." Gabe replied confidently.
Gabe disappeared, leaving Beck, Sam, and Dean to figure out how to raid the freezer without getting caught.
"Well, this should be fun." Dean grumbled.
"Says the man, not in stilettos and a dress." Beck playfully commented.
Sam looked at Beck and gave a sheepish smile.
"You look stunning, Becks." Sam complimented.
"Gabe decided I needed a makeover." Beck admitted.
"You don't need a makeover. You already looked good without all that." Dean stated waving his hand at Gabe's "frosting".
"Thank you, Dean." Beck smiled.
The boys gathered what they needed to get the people out of the freezer.
While Beck grabbed a couple of weapons she could easily conceal.
When they were ready, the boys and Beck quietly left their room.
They made their way quickly and quietly to the hotel kitchen.
As they entered the lobby, they heard a man screaming.
The three of them hid as two men or gods dragged the screaming man out into the lobby.
"No! N-No! No! Please! Gah!" the man yelled until his head was severed from his neck with a meat cleaver.
"It's too late." Sam whispered.
"For him! Do you still want to try and free the others or not!" Beck countered in a whisper back.
The three of them snuck into the kitchen. The screaming of the people still trapped in the freezer masked the sound of their footsteps.
"Give me the lock pick." Beck whispered urgently to Sam.
"Why?" Sam whispered back.
"Did you hear Gabe at all? They can't touch me! If something happens and we get caught I have a better chance of getting them out." Beck hissed impatiently.
Sam pulled the lock pick out of his pocket and gave it to Beck.
Beck took the lock pick and strode over to the freezer.
She crouched down to the freezer lock and tried hurriedly to unlock the freezer door.
Behind Beck, Dean was thrown across the room by Zao Shen, who next grabbed Sam by the neck, pinning him to the freezer door next to Beck.
The slam of Sam against the freezer door startled Beck from her task.
Sam gasped, making Beck stop what she was doing. She turned and saw Dean as he struggled to move after landing on top of a metal shelving unit.
Beck stood up and screamed at Zao Shen, "Let go of him!"
Zao Shen released Sam startled by Beck's scream. Dean took advantage of the distraction and stabbed him in the back with a wooden stake, killing him.
Sam let out a strangled gasp of air and relief.
"Where the hell is Gabriel?!" Dean demanded loudly.
Two men or gods in suits burst into the kitchen and grabbed the Winchesters.
Sam and Dean were wrested into the ballroom, Beck walked calmly and quickly ahead of them. The boys were thrust into chairs near Gabriel/Loki. Beck stood behind Gabriel/Loki's chair and stared at Kali.
"How's that rescue going?" Dean asked sarcastically.
"Well, surprise, surprise. The Trickster has tricked us." Kali said.
"Kali, don't." Gabriel pleaded.
"You're mine now. And you have something I want." Kali told him.
As Kali said this Beck quickly stepped in front of Gabe.
Beck had decided that Gabe belonged to her now too.
One of her men. Beck protected her men.
"Don't touch him." Beck commanded.
"Becks!" Sam yelled.
"Shut up, Sam." Gabe told him.
"Get out of my way girl! Do you know who I am?!" Kali snarled.
"Kali, daughter of Shiva. The Hindu goddess of Time and Death." Beck replied not backing down.
"An archeologist. I have their blood little one, they are bound to me." Kali taunted.
"Give me their blood and I'll ask Lucifer to not turn you into finger paint." Beck told Kali calmly.
"Enough!" Kali roared and swung her arm using her magic to throw Beck against the wall.
Kali reached her hand into Gabriel's coat and took the archangel blade from him.
"I'm sorry." Kali said without remorse.
She, then, thrust the angel blade into his chest.
Gabriel screamed, burst into light, and was dead.
The body turned to ash.
"This is crazy. Mercury said quickly striding over to Beck's crumpled form, Lucifer will kill us all because you injured his protected one."
"They can die. We can kill Lucifer." Kali said dismissing Mercury.
Dean stood up and said, "Alright you primitive screw-heads, listen up."
"Are you outta your mind?" Sam hissed before joining Mercury at Beck's side.
Dean began making a deal with the pagan gods, while Sam turned his attention to Beck.
"Uugh. Sam, why are there two of you?" Beck groaned trying to sit up.
"I'll leave her in your care." Mercury said, Sam.
Sam nodded and turned his attention to Beck, "Easy Becks. You were just thrown like a ragdoll."
"Kali. Is Dean done making a deal with them?" Beck asked.
Sam looked over at Dean, then replied, "Yeah, I think so."
"Good help get those people outta the freezer. I need to tell Dean something." Beck said.
"Becks you were hit by a powerful Hindu goddess. I'm worried about you." Sam told her, helping her to stand.
"That's sweet. Worry about me later." Beck responded and kissed Sam gently on the lips.
Beck wobbled her way to Dean. She whimpered out his name in pain.
Dean turned at the sound of his Becky crying out for him.
He took in the sight of his lover limping toward him, one side of her face turning purple from being thrown against the wall and her plaintive cry for him.
Oh, he was gonna gank that pagan bitch, Kali when this was over if Lucifer didn't do it first!
Beck took a few more stumbling steps and fell into Dean's arms.
Once in his arms, Beck rested against him and said, "Gabriel is alive, he's waiting for you in the Impala. Don't waste time arguing with him. He'll help, but don't ask him to kill either of his brothers. You can't kill Sam, so asking him to do what you can't is pointless. I'll be waiting by the entrance doors."
"I'm just supposed to leave you like this?" Dean asked incredulously.
"Yes, Lucifer is coming. If we survive this you can fuss and worry about me then." Beck replied insistently.
Dean let go of his Becky and ran to the lobby entrance to get everyone else out.
Sam reentered the ballroom as Beck limped out of it. She made her way to the lobby entrance. She passed Mercury at the front desk, stopped, and nodded at him.
Beck met Dean at the lobby door as she promised. Once by her side Dean pulled her into his arms. Beck tilted her head up and kissed his lips passionately, despite the immense pain in her face.
Dean unwillingly pulled his lips away from hers and said, "As soon as we're outta here I'm all yours."
Beck tried to smile, but it was too painful.
Instead, she said, "Go to Sam. Tell those idiot pagan gods whatever you need to. I'll meet you in the Impala when this is over."
"You want me to leave you on your own, again?" Dean asked his voice laced with worry.
"You told Sam when we first got here to trust me. So trust me." Beck responded.
"You better be waiting for me in that car, woman." Dean growled passionately.
"Yes, love." Beck replied pretending to be obedient.
Dean frowned at her, then grinned at the impish look on her half-purple face. He then let go of his girl and jogged off to join Sam.
Beck watched Dean's retreat and took a moment to admire his ass.
Lord that man was good-looking.
Controlling as shit, stubborn as hell, and a royal pain in her ass.
But he was also brave, loving, loyal, and funny.
A girl could do way worse than Dean Winchester.
Beck went back to their hotel room as quickly as she was able, grabbed the guy's stuff and her own. She took it all back to the Impala and threw it in the backseat. Beck returned to the hotel lobby, went over to one of the armchairs, and sat down to wait. She didn't wait long.
The front desk bell went "DING".
"Checking in." said Lucifer.
"Lucifer, thanks for coming." Mercury simpered.
"Oh, you did right calling me." Lucifer patronized.
"It's just...The way the talk is heading in there, it's...it's insane. And what Kali did to the girl, knowingly putting us all at risk." Mercury complained.
"The girl? You mean you pagans dared to touch one under our protection!" Lucifer raged.
Mercury sputtered and tried to say it was Kali, but it made no difference. Lucifer twisted his fingers and snapped Mercury's neck, killing him.
"And they call me prideful." Lucifer said.
"Hello, Luc." Beck said standing up, after having witnessed Lucifer's little tantrum.
Lucifer turned around and looked at Beck.
"Hello, Beck. I see the pagans thought it would be a good idea to turn you into a vestal virgin plum." Lucifer greeted.
"The bruised fruit looked is courtesy of Kali. I haven't been a virgin since I was sixteen, thanks." Beck informed him.
"Have you given any consideration to the message I sent through "The Whore of Babylon?" Lucifer inquired.
"I got your message. You'll have your answer before the next time we meet." Beck answered.
"Wonderful. Now if you'll excuse me I have a previous engagement." Lucifer excused himself genially.
Beck tipped her head and watched Lucifer walk to the ballroom. She then limped out to the Impala, opened the passenger's side door, flipped up the front seat, climbed in the back seat, leaned over closed the car door, flipped the front seat back upright, and leaned back. Beck waited for the guys with her eyes shut. She was in a lot of pain and starting to wonder if Kali had done some internal damage.
Without knowing how much time had passed Beck suddenly heard, "I'm not getting in that thing."
"Just get in the car, princess." came Dean's voice.
Beck opened her eyes to see Sam opening the passenger's side door and Kali getting in. Dean opened the driver's side door, got in, and closed it while Sam slid in his side and closed his door. Dean started the car and the four of them drove off.
"Please tell me we're dropping her somewhere."Beck groaned looking at Kali.
"The sooner the better, darling. You think I want to be in this heap with you insects." Kali snarled back.
"Bitch, you insult my man's car again I"ll gank you right here and now!" Beck snapped in retort.
"Ladies, please." Sam said trying to defuse the two cat-fighting females.
After what felt like an eternity Kali had Dean pull over to let her out.
"Blood first. All of it!" Beck demanded.
"What makes you think I won't kill you instead?" Kali retorted waspishly.
"Bad odds." Beck ground out.
Kali gave Beck Sam, Dean, and Gabriel's blood. Sam let Kali out. She walked off down the highway and disappeared.
"You still got that DVD Gabriel gave you?" Sam asked his brother.
"Right here." Dean said.
"I got our stuff outta hotel hell before we left." Beck let them know.
"Nice." Sam said.
"Here, Sam." Beck said handing Sam his laptop.
"Thanks, you want help out?" Sam asked her.
"Yes, please." Beck replied gratefully.
Sam opened the passenger's side door, got out, flipped the seat forward, and assisted Beck out of the backseat. Dean watched to make sure his girl got out ok and then exited the car from the driver's side door.
Sam set up his laptop on the roof of the car. Dean walked around and joined the other two.
"Ooo, look honey your favorite porn." Beck sarcastically ribbed Dean.
"Gabriel wanted you to guard this with your life?" Sam asked incredulously.
"Maybe he's a fan it's a good one." Dean replied.
Beck snorted and rolled her eyes.
The three of them continued to watch, hoping there was actual information on the DVD. Instead, things looked like they were going to start getting "hot n heavy".
Sam, Dean, and Beck looked slightly disturbed. The scene continued to get more heavy.
"What the hell is going on?" Sam asked disgustedly.
Gabriel turned to the camera and said, "If you two chuckleheads and our princess are watching this then I'm dead. Please sweetheart no tears (to Beck) without me you have zero chance of killing Luc, sorry! But you can trap him. The cage you sprang Lucifer from is still there. First, you gotta get the cage open, then you can shove my brother back inside. Avoid Michael and the God Squad! Here's the secret Lucifer doesn't know the key is out there, actually it's four keys…four rings. The horsemen's rings. Get em and you got the cage. Can't say I'm betting on you boys, but you Miss Beck, you may just get 'em there. Dean, you were right. I was afraid to stand up to my brother, not anymore. So this is me standing up (Gabe stands) This is me lying down." (Gabe grabs the girl in the film.)
"Okay, we've all seen enough!" Beck exclaimed snapping Sam's laptop shut.
"Horsemen huh? Well, we got famine and war's rings. That's two down." Dean said sizing up their situation.
"We still need Pestilence and Death's." Beck reminded him.
"So any idea where we find Death and Pestilence?" Sam asked doubtfully.
"Yes and No." Beck told him.
"Seriously?" Dean asked surprised.
"I know the area of both, but not the time they will be there or the exact location." Beck explained.
"It's better than nothing." Dean said.
"Gee thanks, Winchester." Beck snapped.
"Dean didn't mean it like that Becks." Sam told her attempting to diffuse her anger.
"Let's get back to dad's so I don't have to explain more than once." Beck said tiredly.
"Sounds like a plan." Dean agreed.
Beck and Dean went back around the car to the open driver's door. Beck slid into the middle seat and Dean slid behind the wheel. Sam retrieved his laptop and got in on his side of the car. Dean started up the Impala and sped down the highway to Bobby's.
