JJ laughed as Emily fell backward and landed with a huff in the mud. The brunette rolled her eyes at the laughing blonde as she stumbled back to her feet.

"Yeah, yeah so funny," she complained jokingly,

"I'm sorry babe, are you alright?" she asked kindly, even with a broad smirk still on her face,

"Yep, lets just finish putting this tent up please," Emily said ambling back over to where the two were setting up their tent. On JJ's request the two had gone camping, this wasn't normally the kind of thing Emily would enjoy doing on her precious days off, but she found that any time she spent with the younger blonde she enjoyed, and she found it hard to say no the other woman, especially when those big blue eyes lit up in excitement over something.

JJ had been planning this trip for weeks, as soon as the brunette agreed to it the blonde had started to plan, getting all excited about being able to do something she hadn't done since she was a child. There wasn't anything flashy about what she had brought, only a tent, some old sleeping bags, sandwiches, flashlights, nothing really too technological or luxurious. That's how Jennifer liked it, she called it going back to nature, Emily called it medieval, still they both brought phones in case something happened, or the team needed to contact them, but they set the rule of only making phone calls on it, no using the internet. Not that they had a good connection out there anyway. Emily began to hum to herself as the two finished setting up the tent, her small fall forgotten about, The air smelt fresh and the sky was a brilliant blue and clear, which the brunette was thankful for, she didn't particularly want to camp in the rain. By about 6:30, the two had managed to set up the tent, unroll the sleeping bags, and have made some soup and hot chocolate with the help of a campfire. JJ had rolled her eyes when they laid out the two sleeping bags, Emily was a cuddler, there was no way she would last the whole night in her own sleeping bag, she was definitely going to end up in her one at some point during the night, not that it bothered JJ, she would never admit it, but she was also a cuddler.

"So, this is it?" Emily asked in between spoonful's of warm soup. "We spend the night surrounded by trees?" JJ laughed at the brunette's raised eyebrow,

"Yeah Em, this is it,"

"Oh cool," came the brunette's response, other than falling in the mud she was having a good time which was unexpected, the blonde's warm grin was contagious, and she couldn't help smiling back at her. Jayj laughed again at the brunette's short response, even though Emily hadn't directly said it she knew the other woman was having a good time,

"Come here Em," JJ extended her arm out offering up the small gap on the pop-up seat on which she was currently sat. The brunette basically had to sit on top of her but the two didn't care, drinking warm hot chocolate curled up in each other's arms around a campfire was everything.

At some point that night Emily woke up, her full bladder made itself known quickly and she nudged JJ with her shoulder trying to wake up the other woman. It worked as the blonde's eyes began to flutter open and she looked over at the brunette who was in her sleeping back. She had crawled in about twenty minutes after they had both settled down for the night, much to the blonde's amusement.

"Are you alright Em," the blonde asked rubbing at her eyes tiredly,

"I have to pee Jayj," the brunette replied her cheeks going slightly flushed,

"Take a flashlight," came the response, Emily rolled her eyes,

"Can you just stay awake until I come back," she asked trying to keep the nerves out of her voice, she didn't want to get lost in the dark woods overnight,

"Sure baby, but you'll be fine," JJ told her rubbing her shoulder softly before shoving her out of the sleeping bag, sighing Emily picked up a flashlight and the toilet paper and left the tent, deciding to make this bathroom trip the quickest of her life.

Surrounded in darkness Emily crouched down by a tree, the wind picked up around her and she began to get nervous, she should have asked the blonde to come with her. A rustle from the trees and Emily's heart jumped, the sound of a twig snapping, and she jumped, pee hitting her socks, "Ew," she whispered to herself. The nerves and the little accident began to make her feel incapable and she felt little Em beginning to push through. JJ had told her at the start of the trip it was fine if she felt small, which was reassuring to the brunette however, she really didn't want to feel small right now, alone. In the dark. That was a recipe for disaster, and she knew it. Pulling up her pants quickly she headed back in what she believed was the direction of the tent, when she didn't see it after a few moments, panic set in and to top it all off it began to rain. 'So much for clear skies,' the brunette thought to herself. Turning around she began to wander back the way she came, but the more she moved the more confused she got the darkness confusing her senses. Lost in the rain and having pee covered socks the brunette began to cry a little and once that had happened little Em showed up, Emily knew it was only a matter of time but she began to panic even more because little Emily definitely wouldn't find her way back to the tent, this panic ironically made little Em completely take over, resigning to the fact she was lost Emily sunk to the ground and began to sob.

JJ was tiredly waiting for Emily to return to the tent when she heard quiet cries, at first, she thought she was mistaken but the cries got louder, listening carefully JJ identified the sounds as the cries of her girlfriend. Shooting out od the sleeping back JJ grabbed a raincoat and shrugged it on before grabbing a torch and heading out of the tent. Only a few paces away JJ found a very damp Emily curled up on the ground against a tree crying,

"Lovebug," the blonde whispered softly not wanting to scare the brunette, Emily looked up from the hiding place between her legs and once her gaze landed on her mama she shot up into her arms,

"Mama," she whispered snuggling into her arms. Wanting to get her girl out of the rain as fast as possible the blonde pulled her into her arms and carried her back to the tent, once they were inside, she was quick to pull of the brunette's wet things and replace them with warm, dry clothes. JJ had even though far enough ahead to bring a pull up, which somewhat seemed to settle her girl and let her relax further into her little space. Handing a thermostat of warm hot chocolate over to her little one, JJ slipped off her raincoat and moved all their wet things onto a plastic bag in the corner of the tent to dry a little.

"I was scared mama, I got lost," Emily told her caregiver when she handed the thermostat back over to the blonde, "and the wind scared me, and I peed on my socks a little," Emily admitted a little bit embarrassed,

"It's alright sweet girl, you're okay I've done the same thing before honey," the blonde was quick to reassure her girl,

"You have?" the brunette asked,

"Yeah, peeing in the woods isn't easy for girls," she told her brunette holding her close and manoeuvring them both into her sleeping bag again,

"Yeah, boys have that easier," the brunette comment, rubbing her eyes slightly,

"Let's go back to sleep pumpkin," the blonde said, zipping g the bag up around them, it was tight but the two found themselves enjoying the close contact,

"What if I have to pee again?" Emily asked softly,

"Then I'll come with you baby," JJ reassured her without hesitation

"Promise?"

"Promise."
