Before I start this story I have an announcement to make.
First off I'm putting the SHG Spider-Man story up for adoption. It's not that I don't like the story but I can't focus on it, no matter what I try I can't get anywhere on it. I've thought about it long and hard as I kept rereading it for the last few months before coming to this decision. I'm sorry for those who enjoyed the story but please respect my decision on that front.
Now as for Lands of Termina, don't worry I'm not giving that sucker up because that story is one of my all time favorites and I love that story to death with how far it's come. I know it's been a year since it's been updated and I apologize for that. But throughout this year, I've only had motivation to type two stories, my Pokemon and my Miraculous story, the latter has become quite a favorite of mine to update considering how long it is with it only being a year that I posted it. I will get back to Land of Termina eventually, I'm currently rereading it and making some slight corrections to past chapters that I haven't updated to the story yet and I had to rework what I do have for the next chapter because a lot of what I did have planned originally wasn't working out then I lost a good portion of what I did have leaving me annoyed and worn out along with how this year has been due to some personal reasons, so I had to take a step back to think this next one out a bit more.
Alright that's enough out of me, let's get this chapter on the road!
Disclaimer: I don't own Pokemon, I only own Violet Hawke as my OC.
Summary: Violet Hawke wanted nothing more than to be a Bug Pokemon Trainer, but with how people viewed those types all she got was ridicule until the day she bumped into the local Professor. Now on a journey, she tries to make her goal a reality, but with an Organization coming out of the shadows she has to decide just how much she's willing to risk to realize her goal.
Chapter 26: The Road to Celadon Part 2
"Nice job Parasite." Violet had a grin on her face as the mushroom Pokemon just won another battle, the trainer grumbling as they left.
It's only been a single day since she and Green started traveling together and they were running into trainers who were out on the road right now, both of them taking turns in who would battle.
Parasite made a small noise that almost sounded like she was happy and Violet beamed at her.
Green kept quiet, instead looking at the town map he had to see how long it would be to Celadon City.
If they couldn't find Eevee there he would leave immediately to check Fuschia City regardless of there being a Gym there.
He'll focus on Gyms when he has his starter back.
Glancing up, he saw Violet returning Parasite before walking towards him with a grin on her face.
"So what Pokemon are you going to use for the next battle?" She asked curiously as Green has been switching it up with each battle.
He kept Pidgeot and Gyarados rested in case they ran into trouble, but he's been switching between Sandslash, Vulpix and Kadabra with each trainer.
It was rather interesting to see Green battle up close without being the opponent for once.
"I'd rather not waste anymore time." Green answered immediately.
But he knew that the battles helped a lot with the training and with getting money to restock supplies.
Putting the map up, Green got back to walking with Violet frowning before following after.
Hearing her catch up, Green kept his eyes on the road, hands in his pocket as he walked.
It was… Strange to be travelling with someone else right now.
For the longest time it's always been just him and his Pokemon whenever he was on the road.
Catching Pokemon to help with Gramps research.
Moving from one challenge to the next with the Gyms.
Doing whatever it took to build the best possible team he could make.
Those were the three things he set out to do despite Gramps trying to get him to slow down at times.
As usual he would ignore it, wanting to get strong enough to win the Indigo Tournament.
So to have a human companion, even for a short time, was new territory for him and Green wasn't sure what to make of it.
Or of Violet.
The girl he immediately thought of as weak upon their first meeting when she only had a Kakuna and a Caterpie. The one he defeated with no effort on Nugget Bridge despite the surprise Bide on her Paras.
Yet since then she became strong enough to tie with him on the Ship, to take on the likes of Team Rocket and even take his Pokemon down in the Tower.
Even if Green didn't count the tower battle, technically she still won.
It was baffling.
Even more so when he saw that she didn't train like he did, instead she just made friends with and coddled them.
This whole time he thought she pushed them as hard as he did with his team.
Hearing a noise, Green turned to see that Violet let her Butterfree out, watching as it landed on her hat as its antenna began to emit a soft blue glow as if it was using Confusion.
Yet nothing was happening.
"What are you doing?"
The question caught Violet off guard as Silk looked at him. "Oh it's um… How do I explain?" She crossed her arms as they walked. "The last few weeks I've been working on Silk's psychic abilities and tried to form a psychic connection with her so I could silently give orders during a battle."
Green raised a brow in surprise.
It was something he himself had worked on with his Kadabra, but he didn't think a Butterfree could be trained that way too.
"But instead somehow whenever the connection activates I'm actually seeing through Silk's eyes." Violet grinned, seeing the dumbfounded look on Green's face from Silk's point of view. "It's not that stable or good in the middle of a battle, but it's getting better and with it I was able to get through the darkest parts of Rock Tunnel."
"I didn't know that could happen." Green muttered, remembering how he would always look inside of the Pokedex for countless info on various Pokemon.
Not once did something like that come up.
"I know, it was weird at first, but it's amazing."
Violet then tripped over a rock that was in the path, not seeing it due to the connection and fell forward with Silk breaking the connection to use Confusion to catch her before she did a faceplant.
"But it still has its downsides." Violet gave an awkward chuckle. "Thanks for the catch, Silk."
"Fweh."
Green just stared in silent contemplation as Silk placed Violet back on her feet.
"Come on Sapphire, at least give it a try." Violet was frowning at her newest team member that night, wanting to get some training in to help her catch up with the others.
Right now she had them working on their moves with Stinger still attempting to master Rage and Silk was alternating between Teleport and Psybeam to help do hit and run tactics.
Parasite was focusing on gathering energy for SolarBeam despite it being evening wanting to work on how fast she can gather the energy for it.
She wanted to have Sapphire practice how much she could carry with Confusion and to work on how fast she can use Disable to have her be useful for support until she does catch up.
But the shiny kept turning away, absolutely refusing to even train.
Green kept his attention on his team, having Pidgeot and Gyarados battle each other so they could keep their skills sharp, but he had the other three working on their individual strengths due to the number of battles they've been in earlier.
He was trying to have his Sandslash work on that Quicksand technique Violet has had Parasite do, thinking it would be useful to know, or at least know how to counter it effectively for their next battle once they were done traveling together.
Kadabra was meditating, wanting to increase its mental state to allow its psychic attacks to be even more effective against opponents which would make it even stronger when he finally evolves.
Vulpix was using Quick Attack to move around, hitting targets he had set up for her with Ember, keeping an eye out in case he needed to have Sandslash use Sand Attack to put out a stray flame before a fire would break out.
He'll have to see about buying a Fire Stone in Celadon to evolve Vulpix once she learns all she can.
Finally he turned to see Violet looking frustrated at Sapphire who sat down and began to groom herself.
That made him frown.
"Vulpix." He called out, catching the fire vixen's attention before nodding in Sapphire's direction. "Quick Attack."
Vulpix listened immediately, slamming into Sapphire causing the Insect Pokemon to squeal in surprise.
Violet jumped before whirling around to glare. "What the heck, Green?!" She asked in anger. "That was uncalled for."
Green crossed his arms as Vulpix backed off, leaving for Sapphire to glare her way. "The way I see it, it was completely necessary." He said, not bothered at all. "Your Venonat is wasting time that we don't have, if she won't listen to you to train, then we'll battle until she does."
"But-." Violet went to protest before Green cut her off, his impatience getting the best of him.
"Venonat is your weak link right now," He said in a harsh tone. "Your other bugs are strong, but Venonat will only drag them down if we let this continue and that could lead to her death as well as ours."
Violet hesitated at that before her shoulders sagged.
He was right.
If they were still just doing Gyms only then she would take her time to help adjust Sapphire to being on the team like she did with the others.
But with what they were doing, how dangerous it would be, she couldn't afford that luxury.
She glanced towards the others who saw the action but they didn't intervene.
Even though they looked just as hesitant.
It seemed they agreed with Green on this one.
Taking a deep breath, Violet focused. "Don't hold back." She said, getting ready to battle.
Sapphire gave a protest at hearing that while Green smirked. "I already know not to underestimate you by now." He then got ready. "Flamethrower!"
Vulpix reared her head back before firing the flames at Sapphire who understandably panicked, quickly running out of the way using her special ability to move quicker.
"Disable." Violet called out, wanting to lock the move away.
Sapphire however used Confusion instead, not listening to the trainer because right now she was trying to get out of this fight.
Vulpix easily ignored it due to the training with Kadabra who was much stronger with that move and ran in, hitting Sapphire with another Quick Attack before firing a close ranged Confuse Ray.
Sapphire stumbled around, attempting to use Confusion again only to use it on herself, making her cry out before an Ember took her down.
Now laying on the ground with messy, scorched fur, Sapphire made noises of pain while Green shook his head in annoyance of the easy battle.
He knew that it could fight better, but the Pokemon needed to listen to its trainer rather than panic and use moves that obviously weren't going to work.
Violet meanwhile ran and gently picked Sapphire up with a sad expression.
She obviously didn't like this solution.
Green turned back to his team while Violet began to heal Sapphire with both a Burn Heal and a Revive before returning the Pokemon to give her some rest.
"Until she decides to join your team in training we're going to do this every night." Green warned his rival. "I'll use Sandslash to give her a fighting chance though."
After all, using Vulpix right off the bat was a little much.
He'll admit that much.
But it did send a message to the shiny.
Violet looked like she wanted to argue, but kept silent knowing that it was necessary.
Instead, she turned back to the others, seeing Stinger erupt in a fit of rage before Silk and Parasite knocked some sense into him once more.
He was definitely lasting longer before he lost it.
Taking a deep breath, Violet came to a decision. "Stinger! Silk! Parasite!" She called out, getting their attention. "I want you three to battle each other to train up."
Much like how Green did with his team the other night.
Stinger actually perked up at that, finding the idea interesting while Silk flapped her wings with eagerness, wanting to throw down a bit.
Parasite tilted her head in interest, her eyes showing some more emotion before they got ready.
Without a word they all launched at each other with Stinger using Agility to outspeed them while Silk fired a Gust at the two to immediately cause some damage, Parasite grumbling at that before using Dig to dodge, setting up some spores to launch.
Easily flying around the makeshift twister, Stinger began to jab at Silk with a Fury Attack, the Butterfly Pokemon being pressed to dodge them as she used Harden to try and make her skin tougher to tank the hits, before firing a Psybeam that Stinger tried to block with his Stingers, sending him back.
As he went flying back, Parasite struck, lunging out of the ground with a Body Slam, hitting Stinger before using Stun Spore to paralyze him and then going back into the ground, seeing him as the big threat compared to Silk.
Stinger grunted in annoyance at that, feeling his limbs lock up before Silk slammed into him with a Tackle.
She then used Teleport to appear above the Poison Bee, forming a Psybeam to fire but Stinger broke through the Paralysis and returned fire with a Twineedle, hitting the psychic energy before it could be complete, causing a small explosion that damaged Silk, sending her to the ground.
That was when Parasite struck again, doing the same tactic against her with Body Slam and Stun Spore, hindering both opponents.
But before she could go back underground, Stinger used Twineedle again, causing some major damage to the Mushroom Pokemon, leaving her to go back underground to keep in the fight.
Silk then fired multiple String Shots at the ground, in an effort to trap Parasite should she come out again.
Violet began to take notes of how the team fought by themselves without her giving orders and she was rather intrigued.
Parasite was obviously the strategist between them, doing whatever she could to hinder her opponents, giving her the advantage she would need to win while Stinger would be the one to set himself up before going into the thick of things.
Silk didn't do either, instead being the first one to cause damage while using her psychic energy to keep her distance before setting traps.
Late that night, both trainers sat at the campfire, their Pokemon out and about resting after the training session, exhausted beyond belief.
Except for Sapphire who was now paranoid that she was going to be attacked again, despite how everyone was eating.
Violet meanwhile was looking through her Pokedex, trying to use the tracker to see if Green's was in range.
Sadly, there was still nothing.
Frowning, she checked to see that Celadon was another eight days away showing that they'll be on the road for awhile.
Putting the Pokedex up, Violet lightly tapped her knee as she glanced over at Green who was silently eating a sandwich he had out.
The silence was really getting to her but she had no idea what to say.
Back with her other-.
Do Brock, Misty, Samurai and Bill count as friends?
She didn't really know much about them despite how friendly they were to each other, but the only time they really interacted were greeting one another or to battle.
That was it.
Heck, she only met Bill once, so he was more of an acquaintance at this point.
All of them were now that she thought about it.
Pushing those thoughts away, Violet realized that despite being a little more social now compared to her school day, she was still awkward around people unless it was a quick meet and greet.
That was kind of sad now that she thought about it.
"What?" Green asked in annoyance and Violet realized she was staring, making her wince.
"Nothing… Just-I'm not really used to traveling with someone, so this is new for me." She admitted, hoping he would accept that explanation.
Green kept silent at that as she fidgeted.
Finally after a bit, he actually continued the conversation. "Why did Gramps give you the Pokedex?"
He wasn't trying to be insulting, he was genuinely curious about the reason.
Violet blinked at that, not expecting for him to keep the conversation going, but she took to it without much thought, not wanting the awkward silence to be back.
"Oh um, I bumped into him back in Route 1, Stinger was just a Weedle then and I was-."
She stopped remembering how she was crying after being picked on in school.
There was no way she was admitting that to him.
"I was trying to train." Violet lied despite how Green seemed to notice her hesitance but didn't call her out on it. "When I bumped into him, I didn't know who he was and apologized, but when he left I realized he dropped the Pokedex when that happened, not that I knew what it was at the time."
She then smiled.
"It surprised the heck out of me when it turned on and scanned Stinger."
Green twitched at that, a bit in disbelief at the fact that she got hers by accident.
"I remembered him saying he was heading back to Pallet Town so I went to go and return it and I guess that made the impression with him."
She left out the first run in with Team Rocket and Mew, thinking Green wouldn't believe the latter even though she could prove it by showing the data in the Pokedex.
She didn't want to sound like she was bragging about it.
Reaching up to mess with her hat, tracing the edge with her finger, Violet glanced at Green. "Can I ask you something?"
Green raised a brow but braced himself.
"Why do you want to be strong?"
The question surprised Green.
He figured she was finally going to ask what his problem with Agatha was.
He's been waiting for that question ever since they left Lavender Town, but so far she hasn't brought it up once.
Truth be told, he appreciated that.
Still he thought about her question and if he truly wanted to answer before sighing.
It wouldn't be fair to not answer after she answered his question.
"You know how strong my family is right?"
Violet blinked before giving a nod.
His Grandfather was Professor Oak, a former Champion and the Regional Professor, who put Pallet Town on the Map as it were while his Grandmother was a current member of the Elite Four along with being the oldest member showing how strong she was despite her age.
Pretty big shoes to fill-oh.
Understanding dawned on Violet as Green continued. "Even though people don't know about my relation to Agatha," He spat that name out in anger before he took a deep breath, calming himself. "Whenever I grew up, they only saw me as Oak's Grandson and how I'm expected to be as strong as him. Most of the time they never even knew my first name."
Even in the Fame Checker, it mostly spoke about his relation to Gramps, something that annoyed him greatly.
So he wanted to win the Indigo League in his first year, proving his own strength because Gramps didn't win until he was fifteen.
And then try to work his way through the Elite Four
By winning at his age he would prove himself to be stronger and be out of his grandfather's shadow.
Violet kept quiet at hearing that, now understanding her rival a bit.
Green then gave a low curse. "Tch, why am I telling you this?" He muttered, not meaning to let that much out.
Not waiting for an answer, Green stood up and headed for his tent showing that he didn't wish to talk anymore.
As he left, Violet pursed her lips in thought, looking at the fire.
'Bugs can be strong too.'
The words she said before her journey began went through her head.
In a way, they were the same but for vastly different reasons.
Green wanted to be strong to escape his family's shadow while Violet wanted to be strong to prove something.
"I never saw you as his Grandson." Violet whispered, thinking back to when she first met Green.
When they first met she thought he was a jerk because of how he was annoyed about her having Bug Pokemon along with the Pokedex.
The next few times they met, she wanted to do nothing but beat him in a battle despite how much stronger he was each time they met.
To Violet, he was a rival that she wanted to overcome.
Then he began to confuse her ever since the SS. Anne where he not only finally accepted her as a rival but even saved her life from Surge.
It got to the point where she had no idea what to think of him.
Three more days have passed as they continued on their way to Celadon City, the two rookies were starting to get used to one another's presence as they moved forward.
So far it was good progress to Celadon with them being five days out and they spent each moment when they weren't traveling, training their teams up.
Though Sapphire has still kept being difficult, having lost every fight against Sandslash the last few days due to refusing to listen to Violet, especially after being 'forced' into these fights by both trainers.
It was rather frustrating to the Bug Catcher but in a way, Sapphire was starting to get a little stronger having learned Leech Life in the midst of the battles.
But it wouldn't be enough.
Right now however she was carrying Sapphire, hoping to find some common ground during the day, but the bug refused to even look at her despite allowing herself to be carried.
"Hm." Green hummed in thought, eliciting for Violet to glance his way.
"What's wrong?"
"It's pretty quiet… We haven't run into a single trainer in a few hours." Green muttered, having one hand on his belt, around Pidgeot's Pokeball. "Why is that?"
They knew that the route to Celadon was long, but they usually ran into a trainer by now.
Violet frowned, remembering the last few times this happened to her and she kept an eye out for another ambush on the off chance that Team Rocket would continue what they tried before Rock Tunnel.
A few minutes later however, the two paused as they heard a rumbling noise.
One that was slowly getting louder.
Frowning, Green sent Pidgeot out to take to the air on the off chance they needed the support and after a second of hesitation, Violet did the same with Silk.
As the two went into the air, they saw a few specks in the distance with dust being kicked up behind them.
The specks were getting closer along with the rumbling getting louder as Green huffed.
Bikers.
That's right, he forgot that Route 8 was considered Biker territory by a few trainers.
So far he could count at least four Bikers that began to circle the two, the dust being kicked up made Violet cough while Sapphire gave a low cry of annoyance-.
Just like that, Green tensed up.
Violet had her Shiny Pokemon out in the open.
In plain view of the Bikers who were known to exact tolls on Trainers making their way through Route 8.
Eventually they all came to a stop, each of them holding various Pokeballs while the fourth Biker got off his bike, showing himself to be the leader who had a cleanly shaved head wearing a sleeveless brown jacket over a black shirt and blue jeans.
"Well isn't this a surprise, two kids walking through our turf." Paxton, the leader of the self-proclaimed Kanto Pokemon Federation commented with a smug grin. "Now we can't have that, now can we?"
He looked the two over, but his eyes lingered on the Shiny Venonat the longest, his grin turning into a greedy smirk.
"Now I'm sure kids like you don't want any trouble, so hand that Venonat over and we'll be on our way." Paxton offered, giving the kids an easy way out.
He wasn't going to bother mugging them because the dough they could get for a Shiny alone would be more than whatever these kids were carrying.
Violet took a step back, tightening her hold on Sapphire, leveling a glare at Paxton. "Not happening." She told the Biker.
Instead of being angry, Paxton just looked amused. "Aw look at that, the little girl thinks that she's tough." He commented, his goons breaking out in chuckles. "It's cute how you think you can play with the big boys kid, but that wasn't a request."
To follow up on that threat, he let out a Muk.
Violet tensed up at seeing that, taking another step back, this time in fear.
'Suffocate her.'
Koga's words went through her head, but Violet ignored it despite the fear on her face.
"Are you quite done?" Green asked in a bored tone, watching how the other Bikers let out their Pokemon.
Koffings, Marowaks, Haunters, Lickitung, Magmar and-.
One of them had a Flareon.
Green's boredom and annoyance turned into anger at seeing another reminder of his failure in keeping his starter safe.
Now Paxton was frowning, his patience already being tested. "You kids aren't the smartest bunch are you?" He asked, thinking that they didn't understand their situation. "There's no way you can let a Pokemon out now."
Just like that, Green smirked. "Who said we haven't?"
Furrowing his brow in confusion, Paxton was caught off guard as Pidgeot shot down with a cry, using Gust to blow their Pokemon back followed by Silk coming down to fire a Psybeam at the Poison Pokemon that were out, causing significant damage.
That was followed by Green and Violet releasing the rest of their team.
Seeing Gyarados made some of the Bikers hesitate, but Paxton snarled. "Hmph, so be it." He said, deciding to hell with giving them an easy way out. "Dwayne. Harris. Zeke. You take the small fry Pokemon, I'll handle the Pidgeot and Gyarados."
And once they're down, he'll take them along with the Shiny.
With that plan in motion, Paxton let his Weezing out to fight alongside his Muk.
Not giving them a chance to call a move, Green got to work. "Sand Attack!" He called out with Pidgeot and Sandslash immediately getting to work.
Violet followed up on that. "Gust!"
Silk gave a cry, using the wind from her move to make the sand twister, quickly irritating the Biker's Pokemon while Gyarados launched a Dragon Rage at the group with the Bikers having to dodge only for their bikes to be destroyed.
"You brats." Paxton snarled at that. "That tears it, you both are getting a beating of a lifetime here."
Parasite quickly dove underground to begin her strategy while Stinger was both firing String Shot with shards of Poison Sting mixed in and using Harden to make himself durable.
Kadabra used Psybeam in tandem with Silk while the Sand Twister was going on to take most of the Poison Type Pokemon down before the Flareon shot in with a Fire Spin on the Bug Pokemon.
Silk grimaced in pain as the flames flickered around her, trapping her in place before the Haunters unleashed multiple Night Shades to injure her.
With her trapped, Flareon went to use Flamethrower but Vulpix leapt in, taking the hit before doing a Quick Attack to knock the eeveelution off balance, allowing for Sandslash to rush in with a Slash before dodging a lick from the Lickitung.
The Muk roared as it unleashed a Thunderbolt, clipping Pidgeot while Gyarados quickly swerved to avoid it, treating the Muk with more caution than before right when the Weezing unleashed a Toxic, badly poisoning the Gyarados who began to grimace as the poison quickly surged through his veins.
"Tch." Green looked very annoyed by that before Parasite lunged out of the ground, hitting the Muk and Weezing with a Stun Spore before diving back in.
Stinger shot in after using an Agility to make himself faster, began to unleash an assault of Fury Attacks on the Weezing, wearing it down while ensuring to back off every now and then in case it used Self-Destruct.
While Weezing was focused on him however, Pidgeot swooped in despite the electrocution he suffered and used Wing Attack to send it flying into Muk, the latter wasn't that affected by the hit but was visibly annoyed before the ground beneath it crumbled showing that Parasite began to use the Quicksand maneuver.
A Bonemerang shot from one of the Marowaks, catching Stinger off guard before a Magmar shot in with a Fire Punch, hitting the Poison Bee and sending him skidding across the ground.
While Stinger was stunned, Silk managed to break free of the Fire Spin and unleashed a Psybeam at the Magmar, making it back off before Parasite shot out to use Stun Spore again, but hearing the noise, Magmar spun around, its tail catching the Mushroom Pokemon by surprise and stunned her long enough to be hit by a point blank Flamethrower.
Parasite went down at that.
Violet quickly returned him only to give a yelp when Paxton grabbed her arm, using the battle to sneak his way to her to make a grab for the Shiny.
Seeing that, Stinger went to rush in but Marowak kept him at bay with another Bonemerang.
"Let me go." Violet kicked at him before Sapphire gave a cry and used Confusion to lift a pebble and launch it at high speed towards Paxton, hitting his temple making him let go and grab it in annoyance at a small amount of blood showing due to the impact.
Sapphire made a low growl at him.
While she currently didn't like being on this team, she knew that she would prefer Violet in comparison to this brute.
While Paxton was distracted, Green quickly moved in and kicked the man between the legs, catching him off guard as he leaned forward in pain.
That unbalanced him enough for Green to spin around, kicking his knee allowing for him to tumble to the side before he reached in his pocket and pulled out a repel, spraying the man in the face making him cry out at being momentarily blinded.
As Paxton fell over, Green turned to see Violet staring at him with her jaw dropped, not expecting for him to take down a guy as large as Paxton in that manner. "What?" He asked with a raised brow.
He trained under Chuck, the Fighting Gym Leader in Johto, so of course he knows self-defense.
He just didn't get to use it that often.
"Nothing." Violet whispered, not sure what to say about that.
Turning away from her, Green was rather pleased when he saw Kadabra unleash a Psychic showing that the battle was enough experience for him to get stronger and the move absolutely decimated the rest of the Pokemon who were extremely weakened.
Seeing that, the goons who were helping the boss up were about to book it, but Stinger and Silk shot a String Shot, binding them together to prevent their escape, making them fall over in shock that two kids just took them down.
Giving a sigh of relief, Violet fell to her knees at how that went while Green moved forward, taking their Pokeballs to return their Pokemon. "I'll be right back." He told Violet before turning to Kadabra. "Teleport us to Lavender Town."
Kadabra gave a nod before he disappeared along with Green and the Bikers, leaving Violet by herself with her team and the rest of Green's.
She knew he would be back pretty soon as the Abra line were known to be the best at using the move Teleport, being born knowing the move.
So they would make it to Lavender Town without having to stop at another place like how she would've with Silk.
And he would easily be able to make it back by focusing on his other Pokemon which was why Green left them here.
Speaking of which, she saw Gyarados writing in pain from the Toxic and pulled out an Antidote along with a few potions, deciding to heal up their teams while waiting.
"Alright, they're with the authorities in Lavender Town so they shouldn't be bothering anyone else." Green returned five minutes later before looking surprised to see Violet at work with healing everyone, the worst of the injuries already taken care of.
"That's good." Violet breathed out, using another Potion on Pidgeot due to how he took a Thunderbolt earlier.
Seeing that everyone was taken care of, Green gave a nod and returned his team, watching as Violet did the same with hers.
"We should continue to make some more progress before evening." Green began to continue their journey.
Violet moved to catch up with him and after a few seconds she spoke. "Hey… Thanks for earlier." She muttered referring to when he took Paxton down, rubbing her arm where she was grabbed.
Knowing what she was talking about, Green grunted.
It really said something when Violet just rolled her eyes with a smile at that when before she would've been annoyed.

Alright another chapter for this story is done and next chapter we'll finally be getting into Celadon City where some major plot points will happen!
I mean we have a lot to do in Celadon City. It'll definitely take more than one chapter to show off everything there.
But still in this chapter we had both Violet and Green getting some character development along with their interactions slowly getting better along the way.
Green's development is a little more subtle, but he's already starting to pace himself a bit more with his training as opposed to pushing them to their limits every day and is even adopting one of Violet's strategies for his Sandslash.
Violet on the other hand is learning to be a bit tougher on her team's training and despite not liking the idea of forcing Sapphire to battle like that she allowed it due to how they didn't have time to properly integrate her into the team. She's also taken to his way of training by having a no holds barred spar between her three main Pokemon showing their preferred method of battling when they're not taking orders.
Then you have the bikers or the Kanto Pokemon Federation as they're called in the Manga, these bikers were shown in the game, though they were given more of a presence in the FireRed and LeafGreen game.
Having them appear showed a few things.
Such as the fact that not every trainer who steals and sells for profit is a part of Team Rocket in Kanto. Also to finally show that Green does know some self defense considering how back in Chapter 04 it was hinted that Chuck had a hand in teaching Green at some point in his life.
Okay that should be enough from my end, let me get the Reviews answered.
RonaldM40196867: Yes he is and truthfully I think they used multiple avenues to make money such as the Game Corner, surprisingly a legit business that isn't illegal, selling rare and valuable Pokemon along with items, stealing money from the trainers who they steal Pokemon from, the Gym Leaders of the team funded the Organization with the money they had from their jobs, it's pretty impressive at how many ways they fund their activities in all honesty.
Pokemonking0924: Yes and the fact that they're complete opposites in both personality and ways of training is what makes their interactions so fun, though they're already learning from each other within the last few days. And as rocky as they can be, they already work together pretty well when it comes to battling, though it's more of a try not to get in each other's way at the moment. I figured having Sapphire with that type of personality would make her stand out with Violet's team and to give her something to be worked on as the story continues, not every bug Pokemon can be befriended right off the bat after all. Yeah, so far Lucy hasn't learned her lesson but that was because it was only one loss and that's not enough to change her whole mindset, it takes time and her journey will help her change as well when she isn't focusing on Violet. I'm not revealing anything more on the vision that Sabrina foresaw, it'll be awhile before we get to that point.
Guppy72: Yup, especially since I've been keeping her in the background until recently due to focusing more on Violet's development, Lucy will have her own scenes in this story soon enough.
Kunoichi69: So true, right now they are getting better with working with each other and they're already learning from one another. The trouble given to Violet from Sapphire's personality was the exact reason why I chose to have her like that, she needed to have a Pokemon to give her trouble at some point and it'll only make the bond stronger once they reach an understanding. Stinger and Silk's development with each other was honestly quite a treat to type and I'm hoping to continue to develop them.
El Torro: Thank you, it's certainly a lot better than my first attempt with CJ's Pokemon Adventure back when I first started, I still have the draft for that one and I cringe every time I see it compared to this one, though I did have Stinger in this story as a reference to my original story. I figured having it start out at a school would be an interesting way to begin the fic and I'm honestly surprised that not that many fics point out the rarity of some Pokemon along with how common others are, truth be told I wasn't even thinking about that when I typed that part. Sadly, Lucy isn't the main rival and they didn't really have many interactions with each other the minute that Violet started her journey, though she's starting to become more relevant to the story now. Huh, Hive Queen would sound pretty good but I already made a mention of her being known as the Insect Queen to some Bug Catchers at this point. And yea, I'm still trying to work on grammar mistakes and typos but after trying for a decade to work on that, I'm about ready to give up on them and focus more on the story itself.
BigEater: His temporary replacement will be shown when I get to that point, I don't plan to have it be Janine yet considering how she's the official one during the Johto Saga.
Lycanroc3401: Thank you it's been a ton of fun to type this story, though I still have a lot I need to improve on. I figured having each chapter be at their current length would help both with me getting them out at a good pace along with keeping people invested. I'm actually interested in hearing the theories you have about Violet's Dad. And I'm happy that people are enjoying what I have planned for Green's Eevee along with the hints of what might come with the Legendary Birds. The fact that each member of Violet's team is so well liked is an accomplishment in my books, though you're right I do need to work on Parasite a bit more compared to the others, I'm just taking my time with her slowly getting some of her personality back. I'm actually surprised by how well received Violet has been so far considering how a lot of OC stories don't really have good reception. The Seafoam Island Arc took the longest for me to type because I was still deciding how I wanted to handle Legendaries but it was my favorite arc because of how serious the situation got along with the fact that despite Surge being exposed, he still won by capturing Articuno. I'm still deciding on how to build up the rest of Kanto, though I'm proud of what's been done so far, there are only three more cities for them to visit with Celadon, Fuschia and Saffron before every main location in Kanto, that have people living in them, have been covered. Hopefully the development between Green and Violet is going over smoothly, they're starting to get friendlier with each other, though Green would deny that if asked. No Legends of Sinnoh is one standalone because I've had Red mentioned in that story, so no crossover is planned.
Emeraldshard: Thanks, it's been a lot of fun.
Guest15: I'm sorry but that story is up for adoption.
LuxBeacon: I know what you mean, that fight has been something I've been looking forward to typing for so long! He's still the leader of Team Rocket so even if it isn't his Gym Team he will be extremely tough to take on for both Violet and Green. Operation Eevee Alliance? I like that name, thanks. No kidding, with how much danger Violet and her team faces one would think she has an Absol following her, but that's the point with Sapphire's personality being the way it is, to give Violet some trouble considering how well things have been going with getting through to her Pokemon in the beginning. She will eventually mesh and find some common ground though. Stinger and Silk's development has been one of my favorite things to type in this story and I look forward to adding more to it. Yea, Eevee is going to have some trauma after what happened but he will be all the stronger for it, especially with what will happen, though there will be some legal issues in battling with that Pokemon that will come up once they get him back. As for Sabrina's prediction, I'm not going to reveal anything more on it at this time.
