Chapter 29: The Sky's Silence! Round Of 32 Vs. Mumei!
After eating dinner and getting a good night's rest, Michael and Mumei led the others to the stadium after having breakfast. The duo went to the locker room while everyone else went into the stands.
Michael - "Good luck to you Mumei."
Mumei - "Same to you Michael."
The two trainers shook hands, then entered from opposite sides of the stadium.
Tim - "This will be a 6-on-6 Knockout Stage battle between Mumei Nanashi of Johto's Violet City and Michael Masi of Pokémon Island. The battle will continue all Pokémon on one side are unable to continue. Are both trainers ready?"
Both trainers activated their battle disk.

Mumei - "Go Pelipper!"
Michael - "Greninja I choose you!"
Match #1: Greninja (Sea Incense) Vs. Pelipper (Wave Incense)
Tim - "Greninja Vs. Pelipper! Begin!"

Mumei's Hand: 5 + 1 = 6
Michael - "Let's go Greninja! Stronger and stronger!"
Greninja roared as he activated his Battle Bond ability.
Mumei - "So this is what Calli lost to. Flying Booster! Hurricane!"
Michael - "Dark Booster and Psychic Booster! Dark Sensory!"
Michael's Hand: 6 – 2 = 4
Mumei's Hand: 6 – 1 = 5

Hurricane's Current Power: 110 + 55 = 165 + 33 = 198
Dark Pulse's Current Power: 80 + 40 = 120 + 24 = 144

Greninja quickly dodged the massive tower of wind using his enhanced speed, then just as quickly struck back. His combo attack knocking out the Pelican Pokémon.
Tim - "Pelipper is unable to battle! Greninja wins!"
Mumei's Remaining Pokémon: 6 – 1 = 5
Mumei returned Pelipper.
Mumei - "Thank you Pelipper. Go Honchkrow!"
Tim - "Will you change Pokémon Michael?"
Michael crossed his arms.
Michael - "However I will end Dark Booster."

Match #2: Greninja (Sea Incense) Vs. Honchkrow (Blackglasses)
Tim - "Greninja Vs. Honchkrow! Begin!"

Mumei - "Thank you Honchkrow. Go Togekiss!"
Michael - "This'll be her toughest Pokémon yet."

Michael crossed his arms.
Match #3: Greninja (Sea Incense) Vs. Togekiss (Black Belt)
Tim - "Greninja Vs. Togekiss! Begin!"

Both combo attacks met in a stalemate, but Greninja's Ice Sense Shuriken quickly broke it and smashed through. It then hit Togekiss, knocking her out.

Mumei returned Togekiss.

Michael crossed his arms.

Much like before against Pelipper, both attacks met in a stalemate. But then Cramorant was overpowered, getting knocked out by Greninja's combo attack.

Mumei returned Cramorant.
Mumei - "Thank you Cramorant. Go Noctowl!"
Tim - "Will you change Pokémon Michael?"
Michael crossed his arms.

Both attacks collided in a massive stalemate, the biggest one of the battle yet. But then the stalemate ended as quickly as it began, with Noctowl being quickly knocked out.

Mumei's Remaining Pokémon: 1 – 1 = 0

Tim - "All six of Mumei's Pokémon are unable to battle. So then the winner of the battle and moving on to the Round of 16 is Michael Masi!"
Michael - "Let's go!"
The crowd roared even louder than compared to his victory last round. Especially cause he swept Mumei in this battle. The duo waved to the crowd, then returned to the locker room.
Michael - "Sorry about the beatdown Mumei."
Mumei - "Don't worry about Michael. I'll admit though if it weren't for you playing Psychic Sword, this entire battle could've gone very differently."
Michael - "Agreed."
Mumei then held out her hand.
Mumei - "Anyway thanks for the fun battle."
Michael shook her hand.
Michael - "Not a problem."
They then left the locker room and joined their friends for dinner.
