Chapter 20: Yui Is Masochistic?

Maddie's POV

Behind Shuu and I stood a streetlight- I mean, as tall a guy, with auburn hair and an ugly sneer on his face.

"Is that your friend? Do you guys even have friends?" I questioned Shuu, and he didn't reply. Well, I had gotten used to it.

"I'm not a friend of these losers," that tall guy muttered, and there's this thing about me – I do not accept someone degrading my besties.

So I spoke up, "Uh huh? And who the fuck are you then, loser?"

His face scrunched up into a snarl, and he yelled, "WHAT DID YOU SAY?"

"OH, SO APPARENTLY YOU'RE DEAF TOO!"

Shuu snickered.

"What is going on here, Yuma?" a voice almost identical to Reiji in tone sounded behind Yuma, and he turned around to see three more handsome hunks approaching us.

One of them wore a cap, and had his arms bandaged like a mummy. Then there was this blonde-haired guy who looked like he had popped out of a Calvin Klein's commercial, and the third one with grey-bluish hair, who had the Reiji-like authority in his voice.

They took a look at Shuu on the floor, and then at me, and the bandaged guy slowly spoke up, "Oh… another human girl… at the Sakamaki's house."

Shuu wordlessly got off the ground, and without even dusting himself, he started walking away. However, I held him back with his arm and spoke, "Where are you going? Aren't you gonna introduce me to your friends?"

"They're not our friends," he said with a dissolved pain in his voice, and started walking away again. This time, I didn't stop him, but Yui came up behind me, and took a look at the new four, and went, "Oh, it's them."

"How've you been, my masochistic kitten?" the blonde guy asked Yui, and I couldn't control myself.

"WHAT? YUI, YOU INTO MASOCHISM? DOES AYATO KNOW?"

"I'm NOT! It's just a nickname he has for me!" she argued, "And damn, I hate it!"

"Masochistic kitten! Masochistic kitten! Maso-"

"SHUT YOUR GODDAMN MOUTH!" Yui snapped and walked off, leaving the other four with their mouths hung open.

"…That was Yui, right?" The tallest one spoke.

"Goddammit, what happened to her, Ruki?" the blonde one questioned.

"How would I know?" the Reiji-like guy said.

"Who… turned her… like that?" the bandaged one commented.

"Well, I did," I flipped my hair.

"Who exactly are you? Their new bride?" the Reiji-like guy asked.

"I'm Maddie, but new phone, who this?"

"What…?"

"OH, GOD, DON'T TELL ME THAT YOU DON'T KNOW THAT PHRASE!"

"…"

"Your name, monsieur?"

"…Ruki. Ruki Mukami."

"Wait, Mukami? I think I've heard that nickname before…" I thought out loud.

The tallest one smirked, "So we are talked about in that household too, huh?"

"Dude, the reason I can't remember where I heard your name is because they don't talk about you often," I sassed, shutting his mouth up.

"Who are you guys, though?" I asked again.

This time, Ruki explained to me,

"He's Azusa," he said, pointing at the bandaged guy.

"That's Kou," he introduced the blonde one.

"And that's Yuma," he finally introduced the tallest one.

"Y'all are brothers too?" I asked out of curiosity.

"Yes, unlike those six conceited pieces of shit," Yuma gritted his teeth.

"You have anger issues like Kanato or what? If you have, then I would like to see you and Kanato have a fight. Oh, and get me some popcorn please!" I commented.

"She's so cool!" Kou rejoiced at my words, and I really didn't understand what part of my speech made him go all heart-eyes at me.

"Do you listen to pop music?" Kou asked me.

"Only K-pop."

"No J-pop?"

"BTS does make J-pop albums…"

"Have you never heard of me?" he disappointedly asked.

"Nah."

He fished out some ticket from his pockets, and handling them to me, he spoke, "Free tickets to my concert! You're invited!"

"OH MY MY MY!" I got excited, "ARE THESE REAL OR-"

"MADDIE!" I heard a familiar voice behind me, and turning around, i gazed upon an infuriated Subaru.

Damn, this is gonna get interesting.
