Chapter 28: Loyal To Subaru

Maddie's POV

"Did you just…" Subaru's mouth was wide open, "He didn't just…"

"Yes, he just did," Kou spoke like one of the mean girls. Just put some lipstick and long nails and eyelashes on him and he'll be a typical high school bitch.

While Ruki was talking on the phone with who I assumed was the Ketchup Lord, Yui whispered to me, "He can be one scary man."

"Have you met him before?" I questioned in a low voice, and she shook her head, saying, "I haven't, but with the way these brothers are intimidated by him, I bet he's scary as heck."

"Stahp! He's just a ketchup brand!" I laughed it off, but stopped when no one else laughed. Instead, they were all staring at me.

Shuu went, "She really doesn't know what she's getting into."

"It's not like I'm getting into a BDSM relationship. I can handle anyone," I boasted.

"She's such a big trouble," Ayato dragged.

"'Cause I knew you were trouble when you walked in!" Kou sang, and we fist-bumped.

"I knew I could always trust you with the pop culture references!" I exclaimed.

That's when Ruki hung up and announced, "Sir will be at the Sakamaki mansion tomorrow. He said he'll be there sharp at 11 PM."

"FUCK!" Subaru punched a wall, creating a hole, and Yuma screamed.

"YOU BETTER PAY FOR ALL THE DAMAGE YOU'VE DONE HERE!" Yuma demanded.

"FUCK OFF!"

"NO, YOU FUCK OFF!"

"YOU!"

"YOU!"

"YOU!"

"Y-" Yuma was about to yell again when I jumped at him from behind, taking him down like a wrestler.

"What the FUCK?" he groaned beneath me, and Azusa slowly laughed, like a 'ha' a few seconds after another 'ha'.

"What are you doing?" Ruki rubbed his temples.

"This is how I prove that I'm loyal to Subaru," I explained, "See? Subaru won the argument."

And under me, Yuma glared at Subaru and let out a weak, "YOU!"

"OH, COME ON!" I groaned and got off him.

Yuma stood up and stretched his back like a grandpa and muttered, "My back hurts."

"I thought you vampires have super strength or something?" I scrunched up my face.

Ayato scoffed, "These half-bred vampires have nothing compared to us."

"OOOOH!" I hooted, and seeing the Mukamis glower at the three Sakamakis, I grabbed Yui and we sat o the couch, watching the drama unfold.

"You're a huge blotch on the name of vampires," Yuma sneered.

"Uh huh? You don't say, clown," Subaru participated for once.

"OOF!" Yui shouted.

"That's what you'll say? A clown? How childish!" Ruki laughed at Subaru.

"You're a literal fucking joke," Shuu yawned, sitting down on one of the sofas and laying back on it.

Beside me, Yui sipped tea. I don't know when she got it, though.

"HEY! GET OFF MY COUCH! YOU'LL RUIN IT!" Yuma, as always, was possessive about his furniture. I bet singlehood made him possessive of non-living things instead of people.

"Go away, shoo," Shuu waved him off.

"Look, guys; Shuu said shoo," I cracked up, and Yui laughed along with me. I swear to god, we're literal besties. She's my person hype girl and I will appreciate her until the end of time.

"Anyways, I think you all should go the hell away from here. We don't want you tainting our house with you dirty people," Ruki simply spoke.

"I don't even want to be here," Subaru spat, and walked up to me and grabbed my wrist, "Get up. We're going home."

"Only if you're my boyfriend," I looked at him with sparkling eyes.

He looked disgusted.

"Then the rot the fuck away here," he left my wrist and walked off, with me running after him.

"Stop, I was kidding!"

"Ugh."

I caught up to him and dragged him back to the crowd, and I declared, "Since you guys are my new friends, I would love to have your numbers."

"No way, I'm not giving it to you," Yuma declined.

"Dude, I'm asking for your number, not your virginity."

"EXCUSE ME? I'VE HAD S-SEX!"

"Oh, my god, when?!" Kou looked shooketh and betrayed, "You didn't even tell me!"

Yuma got flustered.

"Aww, look at him blush!" I teased, and Kou, Yui, and I laughed. Yuma simply walked off, saying, "Take my number from Kou, and don't text me your nudes!"

"I will not, geez!" I shooed him off.

As I took their numbers (with Ruki being the most hesitant one), I held Subaru's hand. Color rose to his face as he looked away, and I giggled.

Meanwhile, Ayato held Yui's hand and the two vanished.

"Wait, are we gonna teleport together?!" I screamed in excitement, and he nodded.

Then I looked at Shuu, who stood up, leaving the couch, and I remarked, "Since we all are leaving like couples, you should bring your girlfriend too."

"I don't have a girlfriend."

"Then grab Yuma."

"SHUT UP!" Yuma yelled from his room.

And with that, we all disappeared into thin air.
