Chapter 36: Ruki x Furniture

Maddie's POV

I returned to my room soon after, and thinking about Subaru's eccentric reaction to me becoming a vampire-

Wait, what the fuck? I'm actually a vampire now?

The fact that I was truly a vampire hadn't sunk in yet, and I was hoping to avoid it until the excitement died down, because if I got hyped again, then the Heinz' Tomato Puree and his sons won't be able to control me. And Yui would have to deal with the aftermath, so I wasn't going to put my favorite girl under these circumstances.

And I knew just the people to contact.

Without wasting another minute, I called one of them up, and in a sing-song voice, I called out his name, "Yuma!~"

"Bitch!" his angry reply came from the other end.

"Aww, you're so sweet to me, babe!"

I heard puking noises from the other end, and after providing me with the free ticket to disgust land, he spoke, "Do not call me 'babe'."

"Oof, alright!"

"Why did you call?"

"Oh, right!" I chuckled, "Did you know that I'm a vampire too now?"

"..." he kept quiet for about ten seconds and then blurted out, "Fuck!"

"HAH!"

"So Ruki was right?!"

"Yeah, he wa- Hold up," my energy came to a screech when I realized what he had said, "Ruki? Was? Right?"

"Obviously!" Yuma spoke in a 'duh' tone, "It was him and Azusa who had realized that you were a half-blood like us. He was the one who had told those bratty Sakamakis about it too."

"What the…?" I mumbled, "Why didn't I know about this?"

"Do you even know anything?" he sneered.

"Shut the fuck up; I'm serious."

He laughed, "You? And serious? Please, I'm laughing so hard that I might get a cardiac arrest!"

"HA-HA-HA!" I mocked him, "Lemme just call Ruki!"

"Hang up!"

"No, you hang up!"

He then hung up, and I stared at my phone in shock. Ruki? That goddamn Reiji's doppelganger? Of course, he was a half-blood, so he would know how the transformation would be like, but why wasn't I informed about it? And if he got to know that I was becoming a vampire, then what was the reason? Did he know that?

Wow, I'm talking sense.

I immediately dialed Ruki's number, and as soon as he picked up, I stated, "Meet me at the Sakamaki mansion right now!"

"Why-"

"I'm in my room, and no, I'm not calling you to have sex with me," I clarified, and he sighed.

"You really want me to visit that depressing place full of brats?"

"Yes."

O~O~O

"What do you want?" Ruki grumbled, standing at my door. I hastily ushered him inside, and sat him down on my bed, and standing before him, I questioned, "Why?"

"What?" he raised a brow at me, folding his arms.

"Why did I become a vampire?"

He stared at me quietly, and then softly muttered, "I don't know."

"Don't you dare lie to me!" I revealed my gun from behind me, holding it ever since he had appeared.

"I'm not lying!" Ruki grunted, "I have no damn clue why or how you became a half-blood. And I better mind my own business."

"But you were the first one who realized that I was a vampire, right? You must know something!" I prodded, and he shook his head, standing up, "I don't…"

Ruki suddenly stopped speaking, his eyes landing on the wall behind me. Did a Sakamaki appear behind me? Or was he too into the interior of the room?

Damn, was he a simp for furniture?

I need a good name for Ruki x Furniture. Runiture?

I'm so bad at this.

"What are you looking at?" I questioned, turning around, "Those are just some pictures I carried from home-"

"Mother?"
